I had my transmission replaced at this location, they worked with my warranty which was thru Carsheild, they took care of everything I did not have to get involved in the claim process. The repair was quick and the shops communication with me was almost daily. Highly recommend this location.

Tina was very helpful. My car model has known transmission problems with limited repair options because of the manufacturer s tomfoolery. Even though she knew she couldn t get compensated to make the repair at the shop, they provided diagnostics at no cost to me. The team even had the car test-driven on two separate days to try to mimic the symptoms I described. I really appreciate the AAMCO in Georgia Avenue in Silver Spring.Service: Transmission

Stay clear of this fraudulent rude location at 8129 Georgia Ave Silver Spring MD. The counter man who is advisor is rude and dishonest. He presented me with an estimate of inflated prices then became angry when I asked him about the prices of $240 for a part that cost slightly less than $100 everywhere. He was charging $21 for a gasket part that cost $3. I expect a reasonable mark up, but not these rip off prices. When asked about the reason for such a mark up he became irritated and suggested I go elsewhere. I signed work order anyway due to convenience as I was there and wasted 2 hours already. Then he refused to fix the car claiming he couldn't get the part. This place is the same as a phone scam. Beware of the fraud scam at this AAmco. Stay away.Service: Exhaust

1 week agoThis is my first time getting work done outside of the dealer. I was very nervous but the Customer Service was excellent starting with front line staff. I asked so many questions and appreciated the mechanic taking the time out to explain what needed to be done. It didn't matter how many times I asked the same questions. Work was done and I will recommend AAMCO Silver Spring to ALL my friends.Thank you for your great SERVICE.

They had to check the valves which is not easy. Top and bottom. I love the service. If you think they were rude perhaps you were just impatient and wanted more attention then they could reasonably give at the time.. They can be crowded. i think they are great!!! And you can trust them. Everyone comes in is in a hurry. You try to deal with that. They do excellent work and have good attitudes. I have a Jaguar 2002 and they get her going right!

The staff is very professional, honest, knowledgeable and friendly. They take time to explain what is wrong with your vehicle after they do an assessment and how to fix it. Took my car is at the dealers being inspected for unusual vibration when accelerating after getting a replacement transmission at this AAMCO a few weeks ago. I noticed a vibration over 35mph as soon as I brought it home. The manager suggested it might be the tires. I had new tires put on and an alignment done ($800+). Nope still vibrating. It's at the dealer's now ($170 inspection fee + whatever it will cost to fix). Why? Because I took my Ford to this AAMCO on Georgia Avenue...Service: Transmission

I was quoted one price, then given a higher price when work was done. Staff in front office RUDE N UNPROFESSIONAL. Unable to pay the higher price my car was left there. They STOLE all my belongings out of my car and would not allow me access to the car until a lawyer interceded on my behalf. Filed a police report, called/emailed main company. Contacted BBB which this business is NOT a member. BE FOR WARNED. DO BUSINESS HERE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Went in for an oil change knowing I had a leaky radiator, but they recommended I replace it due to the fact that the engine block could go at any moment due to the fact that the radiator wasn't doing much of anything. Long story short, they gave me a killer deal I know I wouldn't find anywhere else in town. $300 for oil change and radiator replacement combined! Will be coming back for routine maintenance in the future.

Great service and very corteous. The lady and the young man at counter were very nice and professional. When I picked the car, the lady explained everything done to the car. She also offered very good suggestions regarding car maintenance.

Highly recommend this place. I'll be honest, when I thought it was my transmission going, 30 years of TV commercials made me think of Aamco first!Everybody there was super nice, honest, and patient.Special shout-out to Mike, who answered every question I had, and was a great communicator throughout the whole process...

Horrible customer Service. The intake person was argumentative, nasty and would not listen....when the technicians could not immediately diagnose the problem (after a scheduled appointment, two days, a brief test drive) , her solution was to come and get the car and bring it back at their convenience because they needed more time. Poor customer service....cant believe it doesn't translate to poor skills in other areas.

They told me that I had to buy the parts from them in order for them to work on my car. I already had the parts I needed. They wanted to charge me three (3) times more than what I paid for just for the car parts.

Took my car here thinking that I had a transmission issue when my car started making weird noises. I was told I needed a new transmission that would cost $2100 (or $1700 for a used one). As a broke grad student, I did not have that kind of money on hand. So, I took the car back and then took it to a different shop. Turns out it was my timing belt, a $480 fix!!!! Needless to say, I'll never go back to this Aamco again.

The woman who answered the phone was extremely rude and sounded annoyed at the fact that I was asking questions pertaining to bringing my car in for a car repair! completely tuned me off. Save your time and go elsewhere because this specific location does not know how to treat people

They don't try to oversell you on anything and their prices are fair. Usually what they quote you is what they will charge. They also have no problem trying to squeeze you in and seem to make an effort to really give you quality service. I love this place!

Needed only new fluid and they were trying to reccomend replacing the transmission for $4300! Get a 2nd opinion if you can drive your car out of there.

PAID 4900.00 TO REPLACE TRANSMISSION AND ITS DOING THE SAMETHING ITWAS DOING WHEN I TOOK IT IN. MY CAR IS RUNNING ROUGH AND I NOW HAVE OTHER WARNING LIGHTS COMING ON. STRESSED AND DISAPPOINTED.
