We've had two cars serviced at Magothy Auto Service for about 2 years. They were referred to me by a local collision shop manager who also does his own boat engine work so he knows who's good in the area. In my experience they have been reliable, responsive and their prices are fair. Best of all they do good work

Very Happy! My finance brought her Range Rover here for maintenance and repair They quickly completed the maintenance and repair. We were very happy with their honesty, professionalism, and fair pricing. This is where we will get both our vehicles serviced for now on. So happy we found Magothy Auto Services. Thanks George!- BrianUpdate:I ve now taken my 2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee here and had them check over the car before going on a trip. Going in thought I needed new brakes and informed them so; thanks to their honestly they informed me my brakes and rotors were fine, they found 2 nails in my back tire and plugged both before calling to tell me my car was ready for pickup. It s hard to find someone you trust to work on your vehicle and not upsell you on services or parts you don t need. It feels great to have Magothy Auto to service my vehicles. I will be a lifetime customer. Thanks again for being honest and charging fair prices.-Brian

Great service and even better customer service! Had an auto stop start error code pop up on my 18 Jeep Grand Cherokee, initially took to NTB who wouldn t touch it since it indicated an auxiliary battery. Called George at Magothy Auto, he immediately said he could fix it and set an appointment up for the following day. Quick turnaround on the service and even reminded me to bring a check or debit card to avoid the 3% credit surcharge. Little details matter. Pro tip: to the greatest extend possible, call ahead and make an appointment.

I had an issue with an engine whine...was prepared for an alternator and serpentine belt change , but they took the time and it was a tension roller. This extra time they took, probably saved me $500-700 and the truck runs great !! I have now found my new Auto shop and will recommend them to anyone. Thanks so much. J.S. Didn t fix anything car is still having cooling issues ,car fan isn t working, car is giving false reads. I don t recommend this service. They said my vehicle is working fine when it s not waste of money/tow they re contracted with.

We take both cars here and plan to keep it that way. 5 years with George and his team, never disappointed, always treated well and given a fair price. Magothy Auto was recommended by several people whose opinions and knowledge I trust. I was pleasantly surprised that they were as competent and honest as I was told they were.The communication regarding the repairs, estimated cost and status was excellent.They also didn't have to do the repairs that I thought I needed.Give them a try.

What an amazing auto shop!!! Super hot end of their business day when my car pooped the bed. I was from out of town and limped in asking if could do quick diagnostic plug in to confirm issue. They dropped what they were doing and did such. While waiting, watched how they treated other customers with such regard. Even lent out a funnel to another stranded person. The parking lot was super full ... that's a really good sign. Any rate...they took care of my car the next day at really reasonable rate and time. Very trustworthy and have recommended to my family that lives in the area.

Super helpful staff! Needed the side skirt rocker panel of my car to be clipped back on from previous damages and they were able to help me within minutes. Very honest services!

On a Friday, an hour and half before they close, during beach traffic, an hour from home, about 95 degrees and had my dog..my brakes were failing and I pulled in. They saw me straight away, gave me a diagnosis and cost. We're friendly and sympathetic. Although my issue was huge and unfixable on the spot, I chose to take the least risky route and knew what I had. I would certainly have given them the business, but was too far from home to arrange a drop off. If your in their area...highly recommend. Their cost were competitive and trust they will do a great job.

Can't say enough about how good George and his team is. I've been using Magothy for 6 years on 4 different vehicles and they have never let me down. DJ and his mechs in the back are awesome. I love Magothy Auto Services! They are friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. I had a notice that my car would be towed if I didn't get the emissions repair inspected (I forgot). I had one day to get it done, and went to Magothy without an appointment. I told them what happened and within an hour, they took my car in, did the inspection, signed and stamped the forms, and didn't charge me a dime. They had a lot of work to do, too, but made time in their really busy schedule to take care of my issue even though it didn't benefit them financially. Just to be clear - this was an emissions repair inspection, not a MD state inspection, which will definitely cost you money. I would call ahead or plan to leave your car as it takes a while to do a proper inspection.

Very happy with the quality of work. Also, when I picked up my truck I had an unrelated (to the work Magothy Auto had done) vacuum hose bust. I turned around and they diagnosed and fixed it on the spot, free of charge. We will definitely be going back for our future auto needs.

I got my tire replaced over in Kent island and as I was driving over the bridge my whole car was shaking. I fortunately made it to Magothy Auto Services where I was informed my wheel was about to pop off! He took his time checked the rest of my tires and made sure there wasn t further damage. Then took it for a test drive to make sure it was safe. He was honest, and took care of me, I am so thankful!

After DIY Brake issue received same day service.I broke a bleeder valve off and also had an issue with one hose replacement and they got both fixed and brakes bleed well, so it's good to go.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

I don't know much about cars, so when I go into a shop I automatically assume they are trying to scam me. This is the second time I've used Magothy Auto, first was to replace brake pads and the second time I was simply worried about a sound my car was making. This shop does a great job and most importantly, I trust that I'm not being scammed. Definitely recommend.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

Really efficient service. Was heading across country in 12 yr old vehicle and they made sure everything was in place to be safe for the drive. Didn't feel like they were trying to up-sell me on anything, which was a first. Friendly and helpful staff.

Wow! Super honest auto repair company. We took my wife s car in, due to a message brake fluid low. I figured whatever was wrong would cost us at minimum $400. They looked the car over and told us nothing was wrong, topped off the brake fluid, and had it ready when they said it would be... ALL AT NO CHARGE! They said nothing is wrong, no charge. Not even a diagnostic charge, or charge for the fluid. Places like this don t exist anymore. They ve earned all of our auto repair business.This was the second time we ve had an experience like this with Magothy Auto. Also, they have popcorn in the office.
