I am extremely pleased with the service I received at Shady Grove Automotive Repairs. I found both Sam and his wife to be very polite and friendly people. Sam communicated with me via text and call throughout the day, which I appreciated. He was upfront and honest with the costs, and there were no surprise fees when I payed. Finding a good mechanic can be challenging, and I am grateful to have found one in Sam.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Brakes, Oil change

I have been coming to this shop since 2018 and let me tell you I m NEVER disappointed! I was first recommend this place by my mother and her friend. They do not run you around the barn yard trying to BS you about what you need . They tell you exactly what is wrong, let you know an estimated price and they get it done right away. Talk about efficiency! He has years of experience working with various car make and models as well. Mr. Sam and his wife have always taken great care of me. I ve had him service two cars for me and two cars for my friend. They were quick, explained exactly what was wrong, and very very honest about everything that was needed! all for a very fair price, as well. I needed my brake light fixed, and turns out a lot of my lights had burned out.They got me in and replaced what feels like almost every exterior light on my car the same day I called.and to top it off, they were both very, very kind. I'll be making them my go-to mechanic from here on out.

Sam and his wife are incredible people. My company car suddenly had severe AC Belt and pulley issues out of nowhere while I was in the area today. Smoke pouring out of the bottom of the car, smell of burning rubber, all that fun stuff. These fine people got the car fixed up in a couple of hours, at an extremely reasonable price, and were beyond kind and hospitable to me while I waited. I highly recommend this shop if you appreciate solid, straightforward, friendly service. I felt just as welcome and comfortable with them as I do with my usual mechanic for my personal vehicle!Myself and the crew at Adroit Theory are extremely grateful to you guys! Thank you so much! Should I ever require service again while I am in the area, I will absolutely give you my business, and I have already been raving about you to some friends of mine in the area! UPDATE:A year later and the Kang's have become my regular mechanics, the service is and has always been fantastic. They're easily the most dependable people in Rockville and I'll continue to go to them with any and all issues that come up with my car. I literally cannot praise them enough and I'm forever grateful for everything they've done for me in the past year.ORIGINAL:Nicest mechanic in Rockville. Sam and his wife are insanely friendly and helpful, they made me feel like family from the moment I walked in until I took my car home. I left feeling well taken care of and the services were 110% priced appropriately. They made sure to repair what was needed rather than pressure me into unnecessary repairs, unlike the other mechanics I've been to in the area. To Mr. and Mrs. Kang,They were the most professional,honest,caring and supportive people I have met in a long time.I had experienced bad treatment from another Auto shop. My friend referred me to Mr. Kang and they took care of me so well that now I won't go no where else. Mr. Sam is a very genuine man. He will take good care of your car and provide you with honest advice on what to do next incase he can't fix it. Whenever something happened to my car i did not worry much because my car was well taken care of.... joan

finding a good mechanic is always hard. i moved down to the dmv area from the northeast and was sad to leave my trustworthy mechanic back in boston. but then i found sam! if you are looking for an honest and transparent mechanic, sam s your guy! ask him any questions and he won t just answer you, he ll show you exactly what he s working on on your vehicle :)Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Auto engine tuning, Wheel alignment, Oil change

He was the nicest people in the world. I got involved accident nearby his shop. I called him and told my situation. He understood and he tried to fix my car immediately. I am so glad because i have to come back chicago for having test tomorrow. Honestly, im a student, i dont have much money to pay. He gave me discount so that i could pay. Oh my god. Hopefully he will have more and more customer. Love him so much.

Though this shop is hidden from the main road, the service you get is reasonably priced and gets jobs done on time Sam is very reasonable and will actually show you what parts have gone bad and needs repairs Very trustworthy shop if youre looking for an honest mechanicI work in DC and dropped off my car at the shop befo heading into work and came back afterwork to get my car back all done Sam picked me up from metro as it is about 2 min driving distance very convenient if u work in dc
