Scott's employees are very professional and informative. I have received impeccable service from them since I started taking my Audi for repairs/service. No matter what time of day you are there, John at the front desk will make sure you are welcome. They go above and beyond to make sure your questions are answered. Would 100% recommend Scott's Automotive to anyone.

I have been a customer of Scott's Specialties for years. I have always received good service. When my Volvos or BMWs are under warranty, they are serviced by the dealer but the second they warranty expires, it's off to Scott's we go. With my last Volvo, the dealer quoted me over $2500 to fix the service engine light because of a sensor. Scott's fixed it for less than $1k. Dave and his staff have taken excellent care of my first BMW for the past three years. They are customer focused and will go the extra mile for you, both figuratively and literally. My car runs like new when they're done with it and they have always been happy to go over any details of repairs and issues with me. Their prices seem to be fair and reasonable. You should definitely give them consideration if you're looking for a mechanic for your auto.

My first time at Scott's. Brought my 40 year old classic car that I bought a few months ago in for a general going over. Very friendly and knowledgeable. I will bring my other cars for all service needs.

Dave and his team are great! I was so lucky to find them 4 years ago for maintenance and repairs of a 2002 X5. They have taken excellent care of my car. Dave provides outstanding customer service and I m very happy with the quality of the work as well as the fair prices. (When I moved far from the shop, I checked out several other places, but now I m back as Dave and his crew are worth the long drive!)

I've been going to Scott's for years and trust them completely with anything I'd need for my Volvo, or any car. My wife has been going to Scott's for a year or so for her Saab, and we've had nothing but good experiences. Scott, John and the rest of the company are friendly, knowledgeable, trustworthy and fair. I've never had anything repaired by Scott's that needed follow-up service, which is very much not something I've experienced elsewhere. Every repair and service has been done as described up front (both in the work itself and cost), on time and to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend Scott's to anyone for a car of any make and model.

I have been going to Scott's for years with my toyota, and my mother has a been a loyal customer with her volvo for 10+ years! The service is amazing, they always call with an estimate and walk you through every charge before proceeding, so you never have unexplained charges at the end of the day. Repairs are quick and extremely honest, they wont do anything that isn't necessary just to charge you extra. This is really one of the best mechanics in the area!

Knowledgeable and honest. Explained everything in detail and allowed me to make informed decisions about what my car needed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND especially if you are looking for quality used vehicles for purchase. MD state inspection is a plus.

I've been bringing my Audi and VW to AutoWerke since 2011. I've always been treated with respect and consistently received quality work. These guys know what they're doing and I think the prices are fair. I bought a Saab a few years back (sigh), and after many trips to a specialized mechanic, I didn't realize how good AutoWerke really is. Too bad they don't work on Swedish cars! Anyway, I will be returning to AutoWerke for all my German car needs. Excellent service & awesome people.

Wonderful staff, every one of them has been kind, considerate and extremely helpful. I've always felt they charged an appropriate amount and all work was done super professionally. They have serviced cars of mine or friends of many makes, including Honda, Lexus, Fiat and Mazda. Highly recommended!

Great customer service and deep expertise with Audi make this my favorite mechanic.Every visit for repair I'm given options for parts and guidance on planning minor repairs. So rare these days to get this level of service. The care about the customer and their car. Bravo.

Scott's is a Great place to get your car serviced or repaired. I have been using them for years. From the simple to the complex, they have always taken good care of me. John at the front desk is always friendly and helpful. I have always found there prices competitive. They will treat you right.

They did everything I expected and then went the extra distance to provide service I don't often find anymore. The free loaner car was a huge plus, and when my company sent me out of town on short notice, there was no worry about me having the car through the weekend until I could get back to return it. Not nickel and diming on things like that is what starts to create a relationship with a place like Scott's.BMWs are known to be "extravagant" in their usage of sensors...and everything else that can break to require BMW service later on. Suffice it to say my car had a laundry list of problems with it. When I asked the hard questions (are there any real safety concerns; I'm selling the car to leave the country soon...should I do these repairs?) they gave me honest answers to strike the balance between executing the service just to turn off an indicator, and actually needing the service. It was invaluable to have them weigh in with their expertise on what could be done, what could wait, and what I may never recoup during a sale.In the end, they got some -- not all-- of the service work recommended, remedied some issues for me, and I got what I needed with additional customer service and convenience I haven't found elsewhere for my car. Most importantly, I got a place I will continue to come back to if I'm in the area and need car service so my repeat business is on lock down b/c of how they treated me!

Very professional and knowledgeable staff! They are not like other places that pressure into scare tactics of buying unnecessary repairs to your vehicle. I have personally sent my daughter in there by herself and she felt safe! Priced very reasonable! Great place!

I had a new Interstate battery installed 3 weeks ago by another shop but it seemed to have gone bad which Scott's confirmed. They did a warranty replacement with Interstate and checked out my 2002 BMW's electrical system all for a very decent price.I continue to steer people to Scott's for their auto repair needs.

I love this shop. I started going because I had a Volvo. Now I have a Toyota. They still tell you the straight story. What really needs to be fixed, what can wait. You save money by not doing unnecessary work.

Scott and all the staff at Scott's Automotive Specialties are exceptionally good at what they do. Scheduling, answering questions, getting the repairs and maintenance right - they are very very very service oriented. No hesitation recommending them - I have.

EVEN 1 STAR MIGHT BE TOO MANY. I cant trust them. I am a laughing stock. They are either incompetent or were trying to rip me off. Incredibly (or maybe not) they couldnt figure out that a simple loose or leaky oil cap on my BMW was responsible for all the symptoms that a teenage gas jockey immediately figure out. Theres more. They claimed the proposed $400+ repair would take hours and was a lot of work, when it was just simply pulling out the ignition coil and plug.I went to them when I got wild erratic startup rpms and error codes, immediately after replacing belt and pulleys. After apparently running lots of tests and computer work, owner David and master mechanic Andy said they were 95% sure it was 2 coils and possibly plugs in 2 cylinders which they would confirm and replace for another $400. By chance when I went afterwards to fill up a tire, the gas jockey kid said it might be because the oil cap wasnt on tight and sure enough it fired up without problems when he pushed on the cap. The dealership confirmed it was a simple leaky worn oil cap. David said the cap worked itself loose in the few miles I drove after they saw it. They said its not easy to just change the coils as its a lot of work and the cabin filter and housing has to come off, which is why they wanted $400. Dealership guy laughed his head off - he pop off the plastic cover and said even a monkey could just take off the coils after releasing the plug wire, (and they wanted 1.8 hours to do this...) What they said was true only for the last of the 6 coils, and that wasnt the one affected. Theres more. I had a leak in 1 tire they spent a long time looking at but couldnt figure out - local tire shop says it was just a simple slightly loose tire valve.They were very confident and seem nice, but I caught them trying to pull one over me. David still refused to refund the diagnostic fee saying I got good value - several hours of work, and I can come back for a free computer diagnosis later.UPDATE Aug 28:After complaining to Angie's List (Autowerke is a recommended provider), Toy apologized and is to refund the fee. After a week of hundred+ miles, I still have not got a engine light as one of the staff insisted I would (yet another false prediction). End of story (I hope.)

It is a great place. Scott and his fellow mechanics are careful, honest, and thorough. They have been taking care of my 240DL for 21 years now. And at approximately 350,000 miles, it is still chugging.

After getting a $2,400 quote from the highway robbers at Audi Silver Spring to clear two warning indicators on the dash of our little Audi A3 (this, after having the car for three days and charging a $140 diagnostic fee!), we decided to take it to Scott and his crew at Autowerke for a second opinion. They troubleshot and fixed the air bag warning and lamp indicators for $75. We are ditching the Audi Dealer incompetence, haughty attitude, and outrageous costs. We'll be taking our Audi and BMW to the experts over at Coakley Circle from now on!
