(I've updated my original review because I realized I was overly focused on one frustrating aspect of an otherwise pleasant experience)Overall I felt that Rockville Auto Repair provided very good service and was a reputable shop, although I did have a minor issue with the quoted price being slightly below the final cost on the invoice.For the most part I was really happy with my experience. I brought my car into the shop for routine maintenance and an oil change and left it overnight. The shop was honest about the work being done and what repairs were necessary versus unnecessary, and all of the repairs seemed to be done well at a reasonable price.I did have one issue where I had been quoted $801 for all of the services I'd requested (to include an oil change) when I approved the work over the phone. When I was picking up my car the next day and reviewing the invoice, I noticed that an oil change wasn t listed on the work summary. I asked the cashier about this (to check if the oil had been changed) and she went back to the mechanic and confirmed that it had been. So far so good. However the cashier then penned in an additional $30 charge for the oil change directly onto the invoice (pic attached). When I pointed out that I had been quoted $801 for all of the work she said she wasn't able to help me, and I had to pay the extra $30.While it s ultimately a relatively small charge, it s a shame this happened because otherwise I was really happy with this auto shop.

Excellent experience from the initial phone call with Martin to when I picked up my car and Lilly so kindly walked me out to my car. Very personable, welcoming, polite always and fair price. The shop was clean, tidy and comfy while I waited. Totally trust them. Just moved to Rockville. I found my car repair people. Hope I don t need but if I do, feel good knowing that I will be well taken care of. Highly, highly recommend!!!

My wife and I along with our company and several friends have used Rockville Auto Repair for decades. They always do a good job at a fair price. Rarely, a mistake is made. They have always made good at their own expense. Polite, competent, and honest.

They do really a great job on service ,and are honest, the best customer service you could get, from any auto shop.They are reasonable and very understanding, including all the workers and the manager I recently just got my spark plugs fixed , and it was excellent job they did with it and even told me what model of spark plugs not to buy and to buy. I would recommend this to anybody who needs an auto repair or Maintaince check with car. Awesome!!!!

Great experience. Martin and his team are very knowledgable. I had an issue with exhaust on my Acura TL. Martin took the time to explain the issue, and got the job done very well at very reasonable rates. they are absolutely amazing!!! i was nannying and in the middle of my shift when i had to go pick one of the kids up, my brakes were scraping terribly! I only had around an hour to go get them fixed and nobody could do it in time but them! they were so kind and also the pricing was reasonable. they made me feel like i was their first priority and i am forever grateful for them! if you need anything done in Rockville you should 100% come here!

If you are looking for an honest mechanic who does excellent work stop looking you have found it here!!!!! I do not trust a lot of mechanics but this one I have no issues sending my wife in to get work done without fear of gouging or trying to sell her stuff she doesn't need. They do excellent work; they do it fast, for a fair price, and do it well!!!!

I ve been having my vehicles serviced by Rockville Auto Repair for about 10 years. Joel is very skilled at servicing my vehicles; and has successfully diagnosed & repaired many issues. He s certified with multiple auto certificates. His prices are also very reasonable.I ve since moved to PG County, but still take my vehicles to Rockville Auto Repair for my auto repairs and maintenance, when possible.If you re looking for an honest mechanic and expect the job to done right, check out Rockville Auto Repair! Honest, good prices, excellent with customers, professional and skilledAfter an outrageous quote from the dealer for maintenence of our aging minivan, we called up. Not only was their price much more reasonable, they determined that our brake pads were in significantly better shape than the dealer suggested.He found an issue I forgot to mention - but assured me it was not a safety issue and would be taken care of when we needed a routine part replaced in the future.So glad we found this place!

I am an escort car driver for oversize loads so when I need my car repaired or serviced it needs to be done quick and done right. Rockville Auto Repair delivered exactly what I needed. I called them around 9am and they told me they could get me in the same day. I brought my van to the shop with shifting issues and a whistling sound. They flushed my transmission and replaced my idle pulley within 3 hours and had me back on the road. I highly recommend them for your business.Service: Transmission

I love this shop. They're incredibly responsive and I trust them to be honest with what my car needs. Thank you Rockville Auto Repair and Martin.Update on 7/1: I had a problem with my car after the service was done and this shops customer service cannot be matched. 6/5 stars! They took my car in immediately did a diagnostic and redid my brake work under their warranty. The problem was resolved so quickly and the owner, Martin is so responsive and personable. They stand by their work and are incredibly honest. The prices are reasonable and as a woman going into the shop I never feel taken advantage of money wise or talked down to. I prefer the Southlawn location but we have also taken my partner's car to the second location at Parklawn and we're equally happy with the work done. I took my car in today because my tire was efficiently low in air and I couldn t drive my car safely. I took my car in and informed them to check my tire, they were able to find a nail in my tire not only in one tire but in all three! I truly trust their service, Martin the owner is very knowledgeable about cars and treats all his clients very well! I definitely will return for service they also fixed my car charger which had been out for months so quickly!Once again I repeat if you are looking for service please do not hesitate to take your car here! Once again I came in for one tire fix they took the time to check all tires this is a business that truly goes above your needs!Thank you again! Martin is very courteous but this review is based on his performance. A few days after getting brake service, the brake literally broke down. He blamed the breakdown on something getting stuck in the rotor. But there was one other issue that is actually more worrying that I can t mention here .Service: Brake service & repairService: Brake service & repair

Found a screw in my tire this morning and dropped into Rockville auto repair before pulling it. Martin was really helpful and nice, even showing my kids around the shop. He was able to quickly plug the tire and we were on our way.

Great experience here. I called on a Saturday to find out about replacing a front wheel bearing and they were able to give me a quote over the phone. I'd had the other wheel bearing replaced a few years ago and the Hyundai dealership charged more than $400. Rockville Auto Repair quoted me $285. I was able to get an appointment for later that week. When I took my car in I told them I would just wait for the work to be done since I didn't have a ride. The owner(?) graciously offered to drive me over to Rockville town center so I could grab a bite to eat while I waited. When he came back to pick me up he came in my car. The grinding noise that had been stressing me out every time I drove the car was gone - such a relief! There were no surprises when it came time to pay - I paid what they'd quoted. Excellent service, I would definitely come back here.

Great work for a great price on my Honda Civic. I moved out of town and still bring it all the way here because it s hard to find a good place you can trust. Had sensors and canister replaced and whole muffler system redone. Would recommend to anyone.

Excellent customer service, and quick turn-around. I know very little about cars, but was so impressed with Martin. He explained everything about my car's diagnostics very simply and fully, and I felt like I was getting an honest opinion from someone who knew what he was talking about. Will definitely be coming back!

Took my car to replace headlights, called in earlier, and made an appointment. Martin was there greeting outside on time and replaced my headlights in 5 minutes. Great service and price! Highly recommended, and they will be my first choice when my car needs repairs or maintenance in the future. Thanks.

Rockville Auto Repair is AWESOME! I've been taking my three vehicles to Martin for at least 10 years and would not go anywhere else. They do a good job but MOST important is that you can trust them regarding what services are needed. They don't do the "typical" upsale for unnecessary repairs to get more money from you. They are fair and they even let you provide your own parts to save money. I highly recommend Rockville Auto Repair for big and small repairs.

I called to get pricing for an oil change and appointment availability since time was a sensitive matter for me. Not only did they scheduled the appointment the same day but their pricing was by far the best. Upon arrival I was greeted kindly and professionally by Evelyn at the front desk and was drawn to how clean the common area was. It was warm and inviting and the plants were a nice touch. I am Completely satisfied with their service and professionalism and was done in 20 minutes!!!! Thank you!

You should go out of your way to have your car serviced or repaired here. Martin is one of the nicest people you will meet and his disposition can be seen in the way his employees work and treat customers and the way his customers are happy to see him. He took the time to diagnose my issues and even charge less than he would normally. He thoroughly inspected my car to give me a list of issues that needed to be fixed. Because I live many hours away from Rockville, I could not leave my car overnight to be repaired. He was happy to discuss which repairs I could do myself and which I would probably need to bring to mechanic. Understand he had not financial incentive to instruct me to bring my vehicle to a mechanic. I hope you never have any major issues with your vehicle but if you do or need standard maintenance done, please see the crew at Rockville Auto Repair.

So I have a Volvo and finding honest workers that actually know what there doing is a struggle but not anymore... these guys were so nice! Martin the owner was super friendly and very helpful with all my questions! The mechanic Johnny was awesome he literally showed me how to change my oil step by step and showed me under the car to better explain some of my concerns. I plan on going back for all other maintenance in the future.
