Paid $148.50 for a look-see at my brakes. Ken said they were fine. Weeks later, still same problem. Took it somewhere else, they said my rear pads were rusted and brittle and needed replaced. Wish I would have saved the $148 by not going here.

I just want to remind everyone to stay away from Light Truck Service unless you want to get ripped off.They are priced twice as much as the dealer. I had advised someone to get a quote from light truck service for his sprinter and the dealership, the sprinter dealer was half the price of light truck service. So don t always think the dealer is too expensive.Light truck service off Gude Drive in Rockville is a very dishonest business. My motorhome ran worse after their repair. I had to pay a reputable shop to fix it. Just a heads up stay away.! if I could leave them -5 stars I would.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Don't ever bring your truck, trailer or vehicle to this place. They will rip you off!!!They will not call you to consult about the price and how much it would cost to fix. Instead of that they will fix and overcharge you.This set of lights for my trailer only cost 70 bucks online but they charged 180 parts plus 180 labor fee. My advice to you is stay away from these scum bags!!!

STAY AWAY do not do business with light truck service in Rockville!I brought my Ford van/RV in for a complete tuneup, this is very basic mechanical work on an older Ford vehicle. They quoted me $800. Which is excessive, when I arrive to pick the RV up the bill was $1567. They did some other unauthorized checkouts so they dropped it down to 1200 which is still extremely excessive. I left with the van and it drove 100 times worse after their tuneup than when I brought it in. Their mechanics had the plug wires on the wrong spark plugs and the timing was never set properly. I had to take it to a reputable shop in Bethesda which corrected their shoddy work.Also they advised me that my brakes were at 50%. We took a trip got 500 miles away and the shop said the brakes are at 0% so they misadvised a simple check out of the brakes. I do not recommend this shop at all. I talked to other mechanics in the area and they said never go to light truck service never ever!!!This business is known for price gouging beware it is cheaper to go to the dealer then it is to go to lights truck service in Rockville. Do yourself a favor take the time to shop they are you might be surprised that the dealer is actually much cheaper than this place I m surprised they are still in business.

I have been there three times to repair my diesel 2007 Ford E-350 truck. They got it right, every time. Their prices are a bit pricey to my palate but it just how my budget feels after two of the 3 repairs done there. But as a hvac contractor myself l could put myself in their shoes and also I am completely ignorant about what really involved in repairing those mechanics unfriendly diesel truck.

I brought my food truck to this location for a Maryland State Inspection. Their thorough inspector found all the issues that needed to be fixed in order to pass the inspection. The knowledgeable technicians were able to fix every single issue with the truck. But that's not the best part. Since it is a food truck, I had scheduled events where I needed the truck to in order to serve food. They were EXTREMELY flexible and I was able to bring the truck in an out on days that I didn't have to serve food. Ken is amazing, very professional and knowledgeable. The truck runs great now! Great place to repair your vans/trucks!They fit me into their busy schedule right a way.They did a great job making sure my 15 passenger mini-bus passed inspection in a timely manner.They were friendly, professional, AND they charged me $400 less than estimated! I am getting all of my vans/bus fixed up by these guys!!!Most importantly, they have me as a customer for life!

These guys are great. I bought a user '07 sprinter in bad shape and Ken and Paul addressed the numerous issues needed to get it road ready - new brake lines, swapping the rear diff, finally figuring out why the axle seals kept seeping, swapping the turbo and intake manis, addressing aged front suspension, fixing a broken flex pipe on the exhaust, the list goes on. Ken is one of the most responsive technicians I've worked with - accurate with his lead times, explains things fully, and really stands behind his work. I visited this place a few times and I think it was good. But last couple of times I had to visit 2 times each to repair my van.1. Tpms warning light : they replaced 3sensors, everything was done, then and I had to come back because I got tpms again after 2weeks. They said nothing is wrong, it is just cold weather.2. Heater : they replaced blending door but I had to come back next week to replace control unit too.So I'm not sure if this place is very good, or just fine.I will visit this place if I got problem again. Then I may give them 5stars if good

I have taken several trucks here on multiple occasions and there service has always been outstanding. They are completely honest and have been upfront about repairs needed and spot on with their price estimates in fact on more than one occasion the final price was actually lower than originally estimated . I would recommend them to anyone and will continue to use them in the future for my personal truck ,motorhome, and for our fleet service .

Your Friends with a Truck has been servicing our fleet of 9 trucks for over 30 years. Always fast & great service. Very honest and don t fix anything unless it needs to be repaired. Mechanics and Ken have been there for all of my 30 years I have been using them. Very fair prices, I will never go elsewhere!

I brought my vehicle in Monday. Was told job would take three days. Their repair process, ordering of a new part, was explained. On Friday I was told they hadn t adhered to their self-proscribed repair process, had ordered the wrong part and my vehicle wouldn t be ready until Tuesday. Their mistake cost me thousands of dollars. Despite admitting fault, they didn t even offer me a discount...There are lots of options, places to spend your hard earned money. Do it at a place that respects and appreciates that. This business doesn t.

Extremely knowledgeable employees and very friendly owner. They've always taken care of every issue, big or small, I've had with my vehicle. They're honest about what needs to be done and don't just try to upsell for the sake of it. I haven't been led astray yet by Light Truck Service. Highly recommend!

I have been taking my vehicles to Light Truck since the 90's. I took my first SUV a Ford Bronco II. They kept it running for 250000 miles. Then my next vehicle a Ford Expedition which I they kept it running until 200000 miles. Now I am driving a 99 Cadillac Deville and when I found out that they could work on it my service worries ended. They don't do any work they don't deem necessary. I have never had to take my vehicles back because the work was not done properly. If you own a truck or SUV and you love that vehicle take it to Light Tuck because they will take care of it like it was theirs.

I manage transportation for a retirement community in D.C. and we bring all three buses regularly for maintenance and repair. The service is top notch and friendly, and in particular it is efficient - very important since we need our vehicles every day. You pay for what you get, and we get first rate service at Light Truck.

Simply STAY AWAY from this place . Went over there to change one bearing and after a week they wanted to replace half of the parts. I refuse to use their service then they wanted to charge me an investigation fee of 450$. For what ? We knew this needs to be replaced but the guys wanted to find extra . Didn't work out!!The second vehicle we've droped there -Reason was flat tire ,end up with ticket for 1300$.Check the ticket ,compare parts cost online -3-4 times OVERCHARGED for all parts.Do your self a solid and STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AND DOUBLE CHECK THE COST OF THE PARTS BEFORE PAYNG THE TAB.

This place has not been able to locate the Freon leak in a Jeep Liberty my wife took there. The heater core had an antifreeze leak cost $1500 to uninstall then install new heater core also asked them to fix the A/C. Repairs were paid for and vehicle was picked up but no cold air from the A/C. Freon was added according to the repair bill but no A/C part was installed. The work done seemed to be satisfactory however I found a bolt inside the vehicle when I was using a vacuum so I wonder where this bolt goes!Returned to shop and dropped off for them to find the leak. The guy at this service center told me they added Freon but still could not locate any leak and that it was blowing cold air. Picked up again still no cold air. I bought UV leak detector with Freon added one can used UV lamp with googles found leak in two places. One in the low side schrader valve the other on the left drivers side condenser mount to coolant radiator. Now it s so hot here like 93 degrees I can t do this work without a garage. If you have A/C problems do not take it to this shop for service.

I will never go back to this place. They overcharge for all they services. They take advantage because there aren t to many light truck inspections and mechanics for trucks in this area.

Tried to call to get info on getting service. They not only didnt answer professionally ("HELLO??"), but then they hung up on me when I asked if it was the Company. I'm sure there are other companies who actually will answer your questions on the phone, treat you nicely, and actually act like they want business. GO ELSEWHERE!
