Have been here twice. First for alignment and the second time for replacement of rear brakes.Derrick does quality work at honest prices. He takes the time to show customers how they can better care for their cars as well as the new parts he is installing.Also like that he has snacks and beverages available in his cool office / waiting area .Great work by a top notch professional. Will return with no hesitation!

Really spectacular customer service. Derrick was able to get me in with basically no notice and he stayed way past closing time to get everything done same day. My car broke down on Saturday afternoon and I wasn't expecting any mechanic to have it fixed before Monday, so this was a really pleasant surprise! As a bonus, the prices were fair and Derrick was very thorough and professional and took the time to explain everything. I'm only bringing my car here from now on.

I highly recommend this shop, not only because of the amazing customer service I ve received, but for the quality work and reasonable price. I was able to get my 4 tires replaced and wheel alignment done, all in a timely manner. And Derrick the shop owner was so hospitable. He offered a water bottle or juice while I wait. I decided to go to the nearby shopping center and get some shopping done while I wait for my car to be done and he offered to drop me to and pick me from there! I will definitely be returning for all my car needs, as well as recommend him to all my friends and family. 5 stars all around!Services: Tires, General repairs & maintenance

As a female I feel comfortable every time I take my car to J s Auto Repair and Service. Derrick is very thorough, highly knowledgeable, very professional and will explain everything in detail so that you understand.Derrick is always ready to help, whether it s a scheduled appointment, or a surprise visit to remove and repair a nail from my tire! I truly appreciate the great customer service as well as the outstanding car maintenance service. My husband came here for an emergency repair when his car suddenly broke down on the side of the road nearby. He had nothing but good praises so I went to this shop for general maintenance.Derek does not disappoint - he's very professional and communicates everything clearly about the work he recommends. I like that he is clear about things that are "must do's" and things that are "this is a heads up." The price was very fair for the amount of work I had done. Keep in mind that it's a 1-man shop so I recommend calling in advance to check his availability.I have found my new mechanic for the area and highly recommend him!

The service at Jay's Auto is awesome. Derek always goes above and beyond and you can tell he really cares about getting his customers back on the road as quickly and safely as possible. As a woman I am so glad to have found a mechanic that I can really trust. I was heading home after an brief work get together, stuck in usual traffic, when my Ford Fiesta began overheating. Pulled over, found the nearest, well-rated mechanic that was still open and brought my car over to J's Auto Repair.There, Derek was very informative about what work needed to be done to figure out what was wrong, fix what was wrong, and any information about potential delays due to shortages of parts all over. I really appreciated Derek's honesty and upfront behavior.It did take a few days to get my car all repaired due to the shortages, but the repair was successful (needed a new radiator fan, fuse, and relay) and altogether not terribly expensive. If it weren't for the distance, I would most likely use J's Auto Repair and Derek's skills again in the future. Still, I do recommend their work.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Engine repair

I finally found a good and trustworthy mechanic.Owner and Mechanic, Derick was very thorough in inspecting my small car and patiently explained everything.I was most impressed by his honesty. I have an unusual make and model. Mr James was not afraid to admit that he would consult a colleague if necessary. I will definitely schedule necessary work with this shop.

I booked my car in for repairs because it was overheating and was failing to start. Derek was able to replace the parts I needed and get it running again. He gave great advice for future maintenance and carefully explained the issues with my car. This is the best customer service experience I have ever had with a mechanic.

Derrick was a phenomenal and excellent service provider . He dealt with all my issue real professional and with effectiveness . I would 1000 percent recommend him to anyone . Not only did he fixed my issues he washed my car also which was definitely not mentioned he strive to go above and beyond to exceed his customer s expectations. Leaving me with that Awe feeling . Derick is hands down, the best. He consistently provides us with the most amazing services, communication, and work, and our cars are t always the easier to work on . J s Automotive keeps our cars up and running like new, and there are never any surprises.I would be hard pressed to find and auto repair shop that treats customers with this level of care. I highly, highly recommend J s Auto Repair and Service (and Derick)!

I absolutely love the car care my vehicle receives EVERY time I come here to get work done to my vehicle. Whether it's a minor or major repair Derrick always provides me with the best service possible. I leave pleased every time whether I like what Derrick told me or not! He is always very honest and that to me is the most important part. I am a single mother and have been taken advantage of at a few places before so my mind can always rest assured I'm being informed and armed with the proper and correct information when I go to J's Auto.I needed battery work done today and advance auto was going to charge me 300.00 to replace my battery and install it. This was the quote after I broke down last night got a jump and headed straight there to get my battery tested and replaced. I chose to wait after that quote and called Derrick up this morning needless to say He came to the rescue with a wayyy better price and installed the new battery for me. I am forever greatful and appreciative of the services I receive and most importantly knowing I am safe while driving my vehicle mechanics wise. If my review wouldn't be too long I would include the time I was driving in Baltimore City and one of their pot holes took out my entire brake line. J's auto came to my rescue repaired the major damage caused (damage which most mechanics said they had never seen before). Thank you Derrick for all your knowledge and great prices and truly loving what you do! Myself and others in the world appreciate you and your professionalism! Happy New Year 2021 and may your business continue to prosper! I'm sure you will see us "my vehicle and I", again soon. Tune up next... I had a front end alignment done at this shop and was extremely satisfied with both the price and the professional job that was done. Most shops will just tell you that they aligned your vehicle and you pay them, but here I was provided with a copy of all the values that were adjusted before and after, and Derek went over everything with me and made it much easier to understand. Prices were very good and was surprisingly fast. I will definitely return to this shop again, highly recommend.
