I cannot say enough good things about Hoons! I first started going maybe about two years ago for regular maintenance like oil changes and tire stuff. They have always been so kind and honest. Unfortunately I got into a hit and run a few weeks ago and had to replace almost the entire front portion of my car and they did such a stellar job. My car looks better than before the accident and they even vacuumed the inside of my car and cleaned the outside. I only had liability insurance on the car so I had to pay for everything out of pocket but they were so understanding and gave me all my options with my limited finances in mind. I cannot recommend this place enough. Thank you to everyone at Hoons Auto!

No-nonsense, honest, and capable mechanic in Rockville. Started bringing my Honda Odyssey minivan here after the dealer service package expired. Have done all of my service here for the past 5 years and have been very impressed. In addition to oil changes, they ve done tires, brakes, serviced the sliding doors, etc. Managers are friendly, honest, and responsive and prices are reasonable.

Excellent job with fixing my car problems that another mechanic was unable to resolve. Pricing is fair and you won t be overcharged for random repairs that are not necessary. Finally have my go to trustable mechanic!! Think twice before going somewhere else because it is a little bit cheaper. You want the job done right the first time that s how you save money.

I was looking to fix up my very old Nissan Pathfinder SUV (with 235,000 miles) to pass State inspection. The laundry list of must fix items ran about $3.5 to 4.0K according to Hoon's Auto. Even tho they'd lose out on my repair work--they advised me to consider buying another new or used car for a better investment! I shopped for months and just didn't really like any of the new models and so I went back and asked for the repairs to meet inspection. One year later, I'm so glad I didn't shell out $20 - 40K for a new/used car and am just thrilled to be driving my old, memory filled SUV every day.Services: Electrical repair, Auto brake repair, Brakes, Vehicle safety inspection, Oil change

fair prices, up front explanations, and they don't talk down to women. only negative is the signs are not huge so the first time you come it is a little hard to find

100% agree with the other positive reviews. There is no bait and switch on charges and no upsell, and they do what they say they are going to do and finish at the time promised. They return calls, answer questions, and are very professional. Had some not great experiences with other auto shops in the area so it has been a great relief to find Hoon's Auto.

Staff seem knowledgeable. Turn around with them has been very fast. More than once have dropped a car off after hours without warning due to a surprise issue and was able to pick it up the next evening fixed. They are also very near a bus stop which is helpful.

Hoon's Auto Services is exceptional! I was weary when I learned I had to take my car to the mechanic because my husband and I are new to the state. However, I am so grateful I found Hoon's Auto! They are fair, professional, punctual, and honest. They have a new customer in me, and I highly recommend them!

If you want to do business with a fair, honest mechanic who's going to give you service with a smile and return your car in better shape than it was in *before* your accident, this is your place. I can't recommend Hoons Auto or Mr. Chang highly enough. They were so patient with our insurance company, up front with us about what parts were okay to use aftermarket and which were probably worth paying a bit more for OEM, and they were super communicative and always a pleasure to talk to. We'll never take our cars anywhere else. 10/10, highly recommend!!Services: Auto body & trim repair, General repairs & maintenance, Auto A/C recharge, A/C installation & repair, Auto body & trim replacement

Water was leaking in my son's car from the hose connected to the sunroof and i was in search for a new mechanic. Hoon's Auto Service was highly recommended to me by a friend. The reviews for this business are absolutely on point. The guys are extremely nice, honest, provide excellent service, and they are reasonably priced. It was a lot of water in the car. They made the repairs and also kept the car extra time so it would completely dry out, which I totally appreciated. I didn't want the water to cause damage in the car or mildew. The guys are super nice, professional and absolutely great at what they do, best mechanics in town! I'm so glad my friend told me about Hoon's Auto Service, I have taken my vehicle back for other repairs, and again they performed excellent service.

Excellent and sincere quality service at a really reasonable price. I had to repair my side mirror (after hitting it into a wall) and change a tire. Hosung, who took care of my car, fixed the mirror with a cautious approach (replaced the minimum parts to get the mirror to work so that the customer doesn't pay outrageous money).Tire replacement price was also VERY reasonable.The total cost (mirror + tire) came out to be lower than what the car dealer would have charge to fix my side mirror.Highly recommended, very professional, cares about customer.THANK YOU guysServices: Tires, General repairs & maintenance

Got this refrence from a friend who's been using their service for more than 5 yrs. Right away you will notice their great service, customer friendly and reasonable pricing. Highly recommend, they work with pretty much all the cars.

I'm not sure you'll find a better mechanic / auto service place in the Rockville area. Honest and friendly, very fair pricing and work done as expected and no attempt to upsell or whatnot.Based on how busy they are, I think Hoon's knows that being up front, fair and honest with customers is the best way to build a loyal customer base. Especially with auto care, where there seem to be more 'shady' places than many other service providers, especially car dealerships, at least in my experience.I'll be back here for sure, next time my car needs any type of service, even if it's just an oil change.

I don t live in this area was traveling out of town and Can not say this enough thank you Hoons auto in Rockville Maryland they have been super wonderful here caring and compassionate this place deserves 25 starsThey went above and beyond for us I would recommend this shop to everyone they are excellent here and if you do live in the area and don t come here I would start ( Mr Yoon ) thank you again

I used to dread having work done on my car until I was referred to Hoon. He is always truthful and transparent about things like pricing and the actual condition of your car. Beyond that he provides great customer service and genuinely cares. I once snapped the axle of my car and the first thing he asked me when I told him was whether or not I was okay and how horrible he felt that I had to go through that experience. I would recommend him to anyone and everyone!

I have been going to Hoon's Auto Services for almost ten years. The dealers' were ripping me off. I will not trust my cars to anybody else. Extreamly fair prices, excellent service, and most importantly absolute trust that he is looking out for me and not just making money.

Great shop with quality work and labor rates. I m extremely picky when it comes to servicing our Landcruiser and Tahoe and have always had confidence with Hoon s Auto. Found this mechanic through google , and I Choose it for good reviews and rate for tire alignment. After alignment I noticed a gentle wobbling noise of the tires, which I assumed normal caused by the repositioning of different surface areas of the tires. I brought the car back a few weeks after for a break job and oil change. When they removed the tires they broke the caliper and cylinder , and had to be replaced. I asked the owner how this happened, and he answered this sometimes happens . A $400 job turned into a $1400 job!!! Excellent as usual, the past 5 years. I had put off major repairs for more than a year but had to get a new radiator along with other things. The jobs were over 3,500, but he gave me a better price than the jobs cost individually, because once he dropped the front end of my car, a 4 hour job became 15 minutes. Thanks for not gauging and see you next time with my other car when it needs service!

Good customer services. I used to go to dealer for maintenance. Dealer suggested lots of repairing and it cost several thousands. Hoon s auto showed and explained the repairing need to be done. Price is reasonable. It saved me a lot. Definitely will come back for repairing.

Efficient, fair, reliable, reasonably priced, trustworthy. I went to Hoon's because of the high rating on Yelp and I have been consistently impressed. I have had 3 major repairs done at Hoon's and each was a positive experience.I feel so vulnerable to dishonest repairmen when it comes to car repair, even though I know enough to pushback on unnecessary repairs, but my dealings with Mr. Hoon have made it clear he is totally trustworthy. He has steered me away from repairs that other shops recommended - one place wanted to charge me $1300 to replace my steering column for a pin-hole leak. Mr. Hoon's team charged me nothing to replace some c-clamps on the hose that was the real cause of the leak.

Same day service. Clean and fast oil change work. Reasonable price. Very good customer care. As a first time customer my impression is good. Will come again to see whether i will become regular customer or not

Super nice and helpful. Called less than an hour before they closed for brake lights that were out and they took care of me quickly. Didn't charge me either (I did bring in new bulbs). Second time I've been to them and my experience was just as good as the first(alignment).

I find it difficult to trust shops since it's not often that I can hand over my car to someone that I think will be as meticulous as I am when i work on it. I came here first 3 years ago because they are one of the few shops that offer road force balancing in the area... and I have to say I have come back a few times after, and not just for balancing service. These guys take pride in their work, go the extra mile based on my observations, and are very reasonable in pricing. This business remembers it's clients, which i believe shows their approach to their work. I have sent friends here without any reservations and they have me as a client for life!
