I've been here a few times and my experiences have always been positive. I saw another woman's post about how they'll really treat you like everyone else and won't take advantage of you and I can fully attest to that. I've never felt like they've talked down to me or tried taking advantage of me. They've always treated me with respect and like they really value my business. In this day and age, that goes a long way. Steve in particular is super professional and kept me updated on my car the whole time which I really appreciated. When I got my estimate, he stated "we either do it perfectly or we won't do it at all" which really stuck with me. I feel like they really live by that motto. All the work they've done on my car has been superb and the one time I needed it rechecked, they did it on the spot and fixed it without charging me. I recommend them to everyone! They really are great!

Just a great, honest auto service. Tucked in the back otw next to the train tracks. Been going there for over 6 years. Steve is very knowledgeable and completes any project in the time he says, and will provide you with a quote prior to repairs. If it s something that can get you moving right away and he has the time, the waiting area is clean and comfortable, with complimentary snacks and coffee. Whether your auto is foreign, domestic, gas, or diesel he will treat you right and with respect. If your current repair shop isn t getting it done, what have you got to lose?

Best service I've ever had when dealing with car issues. They kept me updated and explained everything to me. The shop waiting area was super clean as well as the restroom. I will be going back for all of my automotive needs.

I needed a MD inspection as soon as possible, AMPM Automotive confirmed within a couple minutes for the following day. They even worked on it sooner than my scheduled appointment which was great!! I would definitely come back again and recommend :)

AmP.M came to my rescue immediately. Went out of there way to get me back on the road. If I lived near them I would Def utilize there services on a normal basis. Damien was so understanding and helpful.. I called numerous companies before I came across them. Would recommend.

To schedule an appointment was easy and available to do online. They are very technologically advanced with text messages and reminders. The service was excellent and they were able to fix a bumper issue for a very reasonable price that would have cost me a fortune at a body shop.

AMPM took amazing car of my car from start to finish. I was able to get an appointment fast and early. they had a drop off so I didn t struggle to figure out how I was going to manage work/family/drop off. I ve been neglecting my car with working from home, so I wanted to make sure everything was ok, and they did a thorough inspection! They didn t try to upsell me, just very straight forward here s what s up with your car . The prices were all what I expected. And it has been running beautifully since then. Highly recommend - I will be coming back.

I took my car to AMPM to have the electric cooling fan repaired. As soon as I got the car home I lifted the hood and realized that the fan was not working. I informed AMPM but it took me a while to actually get the car to them to fix it correctly. I asked the owner to give me a ride to North Bethesda from their Rockville location. He replied that they only would give me a ride to the metro. When I reminded him that the fan never worked when I got the car back, he just argued that I waited too long and the warranty on the work had expired. To me, warranties apply when something is repaired correctly the first time, then breaks after a period of time. In this case the repair that I paid for was not done right the first time. It is a major inconvenience to me to have to bring the car back to Rockville, therefore, the least they could do is give me a ride to work.Needless to say I do not recommend AMPM automotive.Service: General repairs

I have been coming here for years but the quality and prices seem to have recently deteriorated. Their recent evaluation of 2005 Toyota Tundra included recommendations for services that were not needed and the estimates were crazy -- e.g., $280 of labor for just one 10 minute item. Owner did not address substance of my questions. Local service station garage that I had never used before fixed the needed items for about 2/3 of what AMPM would have charged. Don't know whether difference is because of Adam's departure but I won't be back.

AMPM has been one of my greatest experiences and I myself worked in the automotive industry for 17 years. Yea, its pathetic!!! My first drop off was for the cooling system (radiator, lines, hoses) along with other multiple repairs. My car feels amazing!!! The second time was for suspension work (replaced all springs and shocks) and yet again, drives like new!!! Adam has made every experience so welcoming but most importantly has always put my mind at ease when I explained an issue and how worried I was, not because of them, but the vehicle itself. Every single matter discussed was taken care of, again with ease. I also had my Jeep appraised for repairs and even though I'm unable to take care of it now, I will not hesitate to take it back to AMPM. As for the mechanic, he too has been great!!! Just the layout of the inside throws an instant sense of comfort. This will now be the only shop I take any of my vehicles too!!! Thank you so much: AMPM - Adam and Anthony(mechanic).

Run, don't walk away from this place. I came for a vehicle inspection. I failed as they said my front brakes needed replacing at a cost of $1300. They also wanted $200 to remove front seat window ting and $50 for wiper blades. I was suspect about the brakes as I had replaced them 18 months ago, and the wipers were 4 months old. I declined the repairs and took the car to GMC dealer down the street and they quoted me $900 to replace the front brakes. Get that, the DEALER was less expensive.I then took the vehicle to another mechanic who said $757. I took the car there. An hour later they called and said the brake pads are thick (nothing wrong with them). Mechanic asked for the failed state inspect report from AMPM but I told them they didn't give me one, just an invoice for inspection and estimate for the failed items. He said they should have given me a failed report that should have had the measurements of the alleged failed brake pads.The mechanic suggested having them do another inspection (which presumably would pass and be less than putting on unnecessary new brakes. I said go ahead. Guess what? The car passed as the wipers only needed cleaning and I had already removed the tint.I am filing a complaint with the state as AMPM is a disgraceful, low-life business that is running a scam on Maryland drivers. Stay away from this place if you like your money in YOUR pocket, not AMPM's.

A GROUP OF SCAMMERS. Went their for a state inspection, with a car I just purchased from a dealership, and had serviced by my mechanic for said inspection. The appointment was scheduled for 11 and I was told it s be only two hours. Around 4:30 I was called and told that they had just finished the inspection and that it failed due to vibration and skipping in the brakes and rotors, and that they could replace them for an extra $500. Having just had the vehicle looked at and having felt absolutely nothing in the brakes myself, i denied that would be an issue. Upon telling them this they told me it was my choice but I wouldn t pass without them and a sensor for them. They then told me they were closing the shop, and had ten minutes to pick up my car or I d have to wait for tomorrow. I explained that I was told the inspection would only be two hours at the most and that I lived 2 hours away, in which they responded that it wasn t their problem though. Having had such a terrible experience I went somewhere more local to me in which, to no surprise, it passed. I even asked the new mechanic about the brakes and rotors and brakes in which he said he saw absolutely nothing wrong with them. So at the end of the day, AMPM held my car hostage and my inspection hostage for a full day just to try and get more money out of me. They are criminals.

The gentleman (Joe) at the front desk was helpful throughout the whole process. My knowledge on cars is low and having his help throughout all this has truly kept my mind at ease. Called them by mistake and I am glad I did.When I talked to Adam, i got a positive vibes over the phone, and when i arrived they check in the car with in 10 minutes they were working on it. I used the rest room while i was waiting, super clean and the reception area is modern and clean.

Had my car inspected for MD State inspection; determined I needed new brake pads and rotors (not a suprised). Overall, got in and out pretty quickly - less than four hours - and it was fine. Price seemed about fair (I think $399.99 for two pads / front rotors on a 2016 Subaru Impreza) - not sure about other work.Service: BrakesService: Brakes

Amazing ExperienceNobody wants to be away on business out of state and have their car breakdown.Tow truck arrived on time, they got me there in good time.1) reliable2) great work3) delivered on everything they promised.Did a great job. As a new resident in Maryland, I had to get an inspection certificate to transfer my car registration. I searched online and chose AMPM because of the great reviews online. I have to say, they earned that level of satisfaction because of their level of efficiency and professionalism. They are honest when they tell you what is needed to pass inspection and what is just a recommendation. They pointed out a couple of issues with my car that I already knew would need to be fixed and nothing was a surprise to me. They managed to finish everything within the day and when i picked up the car, I could tell that it felt younger and stronger. Coming from out-of-state, these guys rocks and they are going to be my go to place for maintenance. Highly recommended. Great job.
