Highly, highly recommend !!!They did an OUTSTANDING job repairing my heavily damaged car after I was involved in an injury motor vehicle accident. They also worked with me financially, as I did not have good credit. They treated me like "royalty" and couldn't do enough for me. They were highly professional, courteous, extremely helpful, explained everything to me and it was a wonderful customer experience for me! I, more than highly, recommend them !!!

The most expensive mechanic shop I ve ever been to went there to get my car inspected for mechanical issues because it stopped moving. After getting towed, I rode in the tow truck with the tow truck driver and based on what I told him had happened before it stopped running, he told me he thought it was my axel so after we got to Aamco I decided to look underneath the car and sure enough my driver side axel had came out a little they told me they ll have to inspect it because it could ve damaged my transmission and the inspection will cost $369. I went home, then about an hour later I got a phone call from them saying all was good that there was no damage to the transmission but they have to clean the area where the axel goes into the transmission and I ll need a new axel and the new price for all that will be $1276.00. I have seen an axel being installed and I know where it goes into and there s no way it cost that much for everything they said they had to do I had to borrow some money just to get it done I ll not suggest this place to my worst enemy and to think I had went to them before to get a transmission installed on my old car a few years before . This has to be the worst place, I ve ever been to.I also remember how they told me my car was ready after I took it to them a couple of years ago to have them switch the tires I had on with new tires. They told me the car was ready but when I was driving on the highway I heard this rumbling noise, so I took it to them again! It turned out they didn t tighten one of my tires and rumbling noise I heard was a loose tire, I could ve gotten into a very bad accident! This is the worst mechanic shop I ve ever been to. They re greedy and reckless . If you care about your safety, your car and how much you have to spend, stay away from this people!

Easton, Keith, and Shina all treated me with the dignity of a customer who just had a major issue with his vehicle. Easton described what would be done to service my 01 GMC Sierra, which needed a full transmission refit, but not one iota of condescension or disrespect. Shina went the extra mile (pun intended) in trying to get my $6,000 job financed. Even tho we failed due to my credit, Shina mentioned other resources that might be helpful. And she was very patient with my situation.Professional, all of them, up and down the street. That pun was intended, also.Thank you for your excellent treatment when I was in a tough spot.I VERY much recommend this business.

Keith the owner is vigilant on getting a very complicated issue fixed in my car. I appreciate his attentiveness and patience as I have had to travel back and forth from VA to MD with this car having issues. I appreciate the fact that he does his due diligence and research to make sure the issue is fixed including communicating with other locations that have touched my car. That s the type of service that s a dying art. The staff also are very polite and helpful. Thanks Aamco Rockville!

A first time customer. From another mechanic, I was expecting to need a transfer case rebuilt (96 Jeep). Keith's shop said no, your transmission bracket needs replacing. Done in a day. Hundreds less for the right fix. Noise is gone. Great shop.

The good: They rebuilt the entire front of my car after an accident and did a decent job. They also fixed my window, washed the car, cleaned some adhesive off the window, and scrubbed out a foggy headlight free of charge. The bad: Was told a week and it took three. Cost twice what two body shops quoted me at (that I couldn't get it in to). Put me on hold twice when I called, and then left me on hold until they closed. Never returned calls. Also tried to get me to have my transmission fluid lines changed, claiming that they were leaking fluid. The car has never leaked anything since I bought it. On top of that, they straight up did not replace the bottom engine cover, even though it was part of the parts that I was missing.I gave them two stars instead of one because it's clear they're overbooked and understaffed.

Easton and the crew here went above and beyond our expectations. Our transmission died on a Friday night three hours from home. They were able to look at it on a Saturday despite having closed for the day. Easton gave clear information about what happened, what it would take to fix it, and what options we had moving forward. He even provided insight for our next vehicle and how to prevent future issues. The team made an awful weekend into a much easier experience. We appreciated their kindness and understanding as we navigated car issues from three hours away.Service: Transmission

I went to Keith at AAMCO Transmission because my 1995 E320 Merecdes Benz had a serious transmission leak and a pop-pop sound coming from under the hood every time I tried to accelerate. I had used Keith's services many years before on my son's Toyota. He did a wonderful job then and he did not fail me this time around either.I will say that due to the age of my car I was skeptical that these issues would be effectively addressed. I expected return trips and exorbitant costs before everything was over. THAT WAS NOT THE CASE. Keith not only did a great job addressing them to my complete satisfaction the first time around, but he also took the time to explain the repairs to me and propose and justify future steps to take in order to keep my car running optimally. I felt that Keith looked after my vehicle expertly and as cost effectively as possible. He took the time to explain his recommendations, and just as importantly treated me as a customer not a woman who wouldn't understand anything car related (this was very important to me).Finding a mechanic/car shop repair owner you can trust is just as important as finding a good doctor as you are putting your life and the life of those you love in their hands. I have found that person in Keith at Rockville AAMCO.

From now on, this will be my go-to place because the staff is super attentive and cares about you as a customer. Shout out to Easton and Christian, without them I'm not sure where my car would be. Women are often taken advantage of when they venture into a shop alone since they think they don't know anything about cars. The prices here are very reasonable, and they don't skimp on the quality. Your car will be in good hands!

I would never recommend this shop to anyone...not even an enemy! Customer Service is horrible, they don't believe in honesty, and I believe they do shady stuff. "7 On Your Side" needs to investigate this place.Warning: If you need your car do not take it to this shop.

Bad experience w/ this location. kept my SUV for over a month for pricey trans. repair. Repair failed. I traded vehicles rather than trust them too fix it properly. This was ~ 5 yrs ago. But if the same people own & operate this Rockville location at the bottom of the hill...nothing went well including the contact people & manager/owner.Service: Transmission

Very professional. Easton was great - he explained the issue and let me know options, and let me know what I needed to take care of now and what could wait - since it was a major repair. I left my GPS in the car and he went the extra mile by locking it up in my glovebox. Great communication, fast repair, quality work. I have used them before with always great success. Will use them again.Service: Engine repair

They're all really friendly, Jeff was super helpful (gave me a rental coupon, called me with updates, explained everything so I could understand it.) The dealer cited a host of issues totaling $6,000. I came here for a second opinion and after $200 my car runs great. They won me over and I'm never taking my Subaru anywhere else.

I totaled my previous vehicle and had to obtain another as soon as possible. I purchased a vehicle from Ammco and my experience with their service, professionalism, and general interaction is a breath of fresh air in comparison to other shops. Keith is absolutely honest, timely, communicates well and really looks out for his customers. When his team consisting of Easton, and Jeff fix something like your router or break pads etc. it stays fixed!! In conclusion if you need your vehicle worked on, by people that won t scam you, and will work on your vehicle with due diligence look no further than Ammco.Services: Transmission, Tires, Auto engine diagnostic, Brakes, Oil change

It went in for a simple oil leak that just needed a new gasket which they claimed a 2 hour job but took them 8 days and while they had my car they did considerable damage to it and they refuse to claim responsibility. Will never shop here again.

After they fixed my cars transmission back in November and did an AMAZING Job. I will only go to them from now on for everything. Not only do you get great work but excellent customer service from start to finish. The owner (Keith) and his team take time to explain everything from A to Z. Do all they can to help you finically. Don't rush good work it did take awhile but I wouldn't have it any other way. I rather them take their time and do it right and not rush and do it wrong or miss something.Great experience!

Over a month car has been in the shop, loaner car engine and oil lights on the car, tire pressure low. The car was supposed to be ready two weeks ago! Now the loaner has been taken for repairs and management told us that an employee was going to drop a car off yesterday (waited over two hours ready to attend an event 1/20/23 and we still waiting 1/21/23! Horrible service!!!!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

I would highly recommend getting your car serviced by Keith and his colleagues. I came to this AAMCO initially when I needed my high-mileage used car (1995 Toyota Camry) assessed for a developing transmission problem. The transmission required replacement and Keith helped to find a reasonably priced rebuilt transmission. The Camry continued to work well over the next several years until I sold it only recently in good condition. Through my time owning that car, I went back to Keith for various other maintenance related issues because of my trust in him and his team. I found Keith, his colleagues and, staff extremely professional, polite, and reasonable. I would highly recommend going to his AAMCO for your own transmission and car maintenance repairs.

I took my car in because my check engine light came on and I was so happy with the service I got. I called first and explained my situation and Mrs. Shina told me to come right on in. The moment I walked in, I welcomed and helped right away. The staff at this AAMCO location took my car right in and served me. Everyone was super kind and helpful and they did such a great job taking care of my car! Will be coming back for any future car problems!

Hey, I m giving this shop 5 starts because they were able to fix an un-none issue on my really old car. I took the car to several other shops, and could not find the problem my car was having. Yes aamco prices are more than a local/neighborhood shop. But they put in the time and effort that other places didn t take to find the problem in my car. Great communication, answered all my questions and concerns. No, I didn t get paid or get any special discount to write this review. I m just showing recognition towards a job well done. I believe they are honest, pricey, and it s a place I highly recommend.

These guys when it was done rebuilt my entire Suspension System. The work was top-notch, detailed and clean. They were able to identify the source of my damage when two other repair shops failed to resolve my car issues. The were patience with me and worked with me on my limited budget.Despite my disrespect. they remained professional the entire time.Keith/Brian,Thank you for all your help, service and patience with me. You two did an OUTSTANDING JOB!!! Thus, in the U.S. Navy I extend to you BRAVO ZULU!!!Keith,Thank you for sticking to your GUNS!!! You were Right and I was Wrong.Sincerely,William Davis

Needed replacement rotor/caliper/break pads. Keith was able to squeeze me in that very afternoon which was excellent- I suddenly felt grinding metal when I applied the brake and needed the fix immediately. These guys were professional, patient, and best of all transparent (qualities many service providers in this industry sorely lack) They took the time to explain and show me all the work they planned to do and helped me troubleshoot what had to be done right away and what could wait. Their assessments were fair and honest. The car is running great again. Will definitely be back.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS SHOP!!! They are complete and utter tools with exorbitant prices - this is my opinion after having an experience with them!!!! They failed to distinguish the engine misfire from a transmission problem (duh!) and it's a GM car with the LT1 engine and 4L60E transmission that went into most of GM trucks and vans! Charged me $200 for a wrong diagnosis, blaming hesitation on carbon build up in the throttle body (that I cleaned without any effect on the performance of course) while the problem was clogged fuel lines and arching spark plug wires. Also told me that the the 3rd gear plate in the transmission was going bad so I ordered the transmission based on their "advice" that I had to return. When I asked for the refund, cause they could not be more wrong, they sent me to the AAMCO customer service that - guess what - sent me back to the same shop who declined to refund. On another note, I think this shop is getting so little business already that their parking lot is full of cars without plates. I suspect their main source of revenue is fixing up cars bought at dealer auctions that they then push through Craigslist. I strongly suggest, ladies and gentlemen, that we leave them alone at this and take our cars somewhere else.By the way the AAA repair shop just a block south of them fixed all my problems. Go there, get a free coffee and bottled water and much better quality!

I had a great experience with Aamco Transmission & Total Car in Rockville! I was having a problem that other mechanics were having trouble repairing. The car runs better than it has in years now and it feels good to have the check engine light finally off. The best part was that Keith the manager was there for every interaction I had. He was even there on Saturday. It was good to work with the same person the whole time.
