Do you want an honest, fair priced automotive shop? Well, do you?Start your experience with Dependable...no it's not a commercial, nor am I paid, but when I have great experiences that exceed my expectations, I'd like to share that and get the word out.I am super happy with Dependable and as a customer, I am treated more like a friend than a customer. Top notch work, fair pricing and excellent communication!Years ago, I worked with another automotive shop in Howard county far longer than I care to admit to. First it was the poor communication; next, the pricing was getting very expensive; lastly, too many repeat visits for the same issue caused me to find another automotive shop.Services: Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance

Came here based off of the reviews, they lived up to their reputation. Excellent quality work done quickly, very clear when describing issues, very happy with the work I received for the bill amount. Their schedule gets booked out in advance, which I think speaks to the quality of work they do to get that many people coming back and willing to wait. Wonderful service and great experience. If you need reliable and efficient service from a hardworking, honest, and dedicated service team, this is your place. The folks at Dependable Auto Services went above and beyond to help me with a leak in my car as well as replace my car's air filter. The service was quick, the team kept me informed about service times, and you won't find nicer people anywhere. I cannot recommend them enough! I got a quote for an AC issue from another mechanic in the area. I wanted a second opinion and chose Dependable Auto Services. Their name is truly what they stand for! The price they quoted me was 1/3 what the other mechanic wanted. They went above and beyond in the communication process and offered recommendations for future service and maintenance of the car. 5 stars simply isn t enough, they deserve 10! Will be returning for all of my car needs.

I took 2 vehicles to get inspected and had a great experience. The inspection was clear and cost around $100, which seemed fair to me. They were very flexible with timing and staff was friendly! They went above and beyond to make sure my service work was complete and up to their standard. I brought my car to have my brakes and rotors serviced. Per the advice of my dealership (where I was not going to have service work done) I had my front rotors resurfaced. After a few months I started having pulsation when braking that continually got worse. I contacted the shop (via email which is so convenient) and was told to bring it in and they would fix the problem without charge since I had work done recently. David told me that they typically would not have resurfaced (except for the fact I said that was what was recommended to me by the dealership) and would have originally replaced the rotors and wanted to make sure I saw the quality work they stand by. I was so impressed at their customer service and effort to make sure I was 100% satisfied with the service they provide. My husband was shocked at their customer service as well. When David told me to bring it back in and they would fix the problem my husband thought there had to be a catch, but nope. I have lived in Columbia 10 years and struggled to find an auto shop I trusted to give me real advice (and not try to get me to buy services that arent really necessary) and I have finally found it. Highly recommend!!! Thank you!!

Found them based on the google reviews and decided to give them a try. Steve was professional and friendly. Dropped my car off for an inspection at 8am. Was told it would take a couple hours-expect a call by 10am . Steve called at 9:37am and the job was done. Failed inspection due to tint being too dark so I had it removed the next day and called Steve back to see if he could see me that afternoon for the re-inspection. He was accommodating and I went by and got my passing paperwork! Highly recommend and would use them again!Service: Vehicle Inspection

This is a great business--highly recommended. I stopped by 10 minutes before they closed, after the front tire of my VW blew out on the highway. The owner inspected my tire and installed my spare wheel, all without charging me (I offered to pay him but he declined). He suggested I find a local tire dealer who would have the correct sized tire in stock. Would definitely return to the shop, except that I don't live in the area.Service: Tires

Dependable was recommended to me by a friend of my father s. I have been very pleased with the services performed on my vehicle. They are fair with pricing. They also do not bully you into getting repairs done that you don t need to have done. I have taken multiple vehicles to them over the years and have always had a great experience. They are always willing to work with you to satisfy your automotive needs. Fast, efficient, and fair with pricing given the amount of honest, high-quality exceptional service provided. Hands down the best automotive shop you will ever experience. There isabsolutely nowhere else I will take my vehicle to in the Maryland area.

I have used Dependable for a number of years. They keep my car running well. Mostly I have used them for maintenance like tire rotation and oil change and brakes . I have had them do a repair as well. Dependable Auto Services is just that! Steve is genuinely a nice person and the team at Dependable will take care of you. They are knowledgeable mechanics and will give you a great experience! I'm not from the area but I'm glad I started getting my car serviced at this establishment as soon as I moved to the area. I've taken my 2014 Mazda 3 to Dependable Auto twice for engine repairs and several times for routine maintenance. Each time, the service has been top notch: speedy and precise with competitive pricing and courteous, responsive customer service. I highly recommend their services if you're in the area.

I've been here a couple times. Dave completed an inspection for me and another time brakes. I was pleased with both. I have mentioned Dave to several of my friends and recently someone called me about needing some auto work done and I sent them to Dave. Dave was very personable and friendly with me so I believe he's that way with others. I believe that Dave and his team are honest, the prices are reasonable, and they do great work! Its hard to find all of these qualities at one place but I think Dependable Auto Services has it. They are definitely my go to for auto care. I really appreciate Dave.

Recently took my vehicle to Dependable Auto Services for a suspected need of front brakes. After a thorough inspection, it was advised that I didn't need brakes after all. It could have been easy to perform the service anyway, but their integrity showed. They have earned a repeat customer for all of my automotive needs.

Steve is absolutely incredible. Unlike Mr. Tire, he doesn't pressure you into spending more money. He genuinely cares about each and every one of his customers, and has a great personality to boot. I moved to Glen Burnie, but I still drive 20 minutes to get to him. Nobody else is touching my car but Dependable and AAA!

This is my go-to auto repair shop! It's so nice to be able to just bring your car in and not have to worry about the dishonesty and stress that normally comes along with car repair centers. Dave always explains the necessary repairs needed on my older car and what I can wait on. I appreciate that level of honesty. If I don't understand what a certain repair entails, I don't feel uncomfortable asking about it and am given a very patient and thorough explanation. The pricing is always given up front and there are never any surprises when you get the final bill. Very fair. These guys are great and I would not take my car anywhere else!

Dependable Auto Services has been one of the main shops that I attend for the servicing of my vehicles: service, inspection, and diagnostic repairs. The staff has priced their service at the top of the line as a result of them being top of the line in service and quality of workmanship. I have witnessed this by the work they have done to my vehicles. I would like to recommend them to others if there trying to have a nice running car for the duration of ownership. So I read all the positive reviews, and I thought that maybe some of them were fabricated etc... Nope, Dependable auto says it all in the name. They are honest with you and will tell you what needs to be done now, or what can wait with your car. Reasonably priced, and better service than I have received at any Dealer or other mechanic. Dave also is great at giving advice when its time to trade in your car, as it became a sore joke every time I showed up to the shop with my old yellow Jeep. They congratulated me when I finally got a new car, and they will continue to get my service, as well as my referrals.

We had a great experience- took our SUV in for broken AC and rattling noises. We have an extended warranty. Dave was great- we got a diagnosis, he got it cleared with our warranty, ordered a part and the car was fixed and ready for pick up in less than 48 hours. I will definitely be using them again!

I have been taking all three of my vehicles there for years. They are very competitive with their pricing. Some others maybe a little cheaper but Dependable Auto gives 5 star all around service and advice. They are my go to fix it company for all my cars in Eldridge.

These guys are amazing! I needed a replacement engine mount ... they beat all competing quotes and did the service in record time. Plus, the manager took the time to show me exactly what was wrong with the old engine mount both before & after it had been replaced.This is a small family-run shop, which I like because those types of places always work extra hard to be friendly and professional. The shop may not look great, but it certainly does great work, and that's what matters. I will be using them as my go-to auto shop from now on.

I have a 2010 Subaru Forester with ~41K miles. The brakes started squealing during a long road trip, so I thought it was time to have them changed. Of course the squealing stopped a day before my appointment, but I brought it in anyway. Within an hour, Dave (the owner) called to tell me they had taken it for a test drive and inspected the brakes, and everything seemed fine. Let me reiterate: I was prepared to shell out some cash for new brake pads, but rather than treat me like a fool they were honest. Moreover, they did the check for free. I was blown away.I liked this place so much I asked them to do my 30K scheduled maintenance, which was admittedly overdue. They charged a very reasonable price ($370) and had it done in a few hours.Finding an honest mechanic can be a frustrating experience, but I think I finally found one.

Best place over all to take your vehicle, hands down best customer service and the knowledge to go with it. The owner Dave gave great feedback on what I would need to pass inspection as well as great conversation. It s good to know that real customer service still exists. I will be recommending to my family and friends for shore.

I just moved to Baltimore, and after my second week at work, my car broke down. I wasn't exactly sure what was wrong with it, but after contacting my family friend / mechanic from LA, we assumed it was either the battery or the alternator. Called AAA to send the battery test car out, and found out that it was most likely the alternator. Spent a few minutes talking with the AAA guy about where to take the car, and eventually he suggested Dependable Auto.Eventually had the car towed there, and showed up to the shop in the morning (8am). Dave at the front test was really easy to talk to, and confirmed based on my description that it sounded like the alternator. He said there were some cars ahead of me but they would try and look at it by the end of the day. By noon, they head already done the tests on the car, confirmed it needed an alternator, and gave me the quote. I did my homework, and called 5-6 different shops including the Toyota Dealership for a quote on the repair, and Dependable Auto's quote was at least $300 less than the competitors. After talking to my family mechanic, they gave me the right price for the parts and actual labor time on the car. I also had it back within a day and a half. Needless to say, they held true to their mission of having "integrity" as well as were true to their cause of not "predatorially pricing." Won't think of going anywhere else in Maryland!

I've been here a few times, and Dependable Auto has always been excellent. The work is always perfect, and very, very fast. Prices are reasonable. Staff never tries to up-sell extra work, and always reveals when less work is needed. Definitely my go-to mechanic!
