I wish I could give 0 stars. They cut the wire for my remote start on my truck and it I was glued into the window when the new one was installed. I was told that they do not repair damage to the vehicle because of policy. They would remove the window again and remove the wire from the epoxy but would not pay to have the wire replaced. I was told that having a after market remote start wire running up the A pillar and tucked in the head liner isn't something they look out for.I don't understand why that question wasn't asked to begin with. If that was a problem, unplugging the wire and setting it aside would have been very easy to do. Hopefully they make that part of the questioning before hand in the future.I should have read all the other reviews before doing business with them. Also the new antenna wire was $10 plus install. I can't imagine labor would have been that much.I will say they were polite and on time with the appointment and the job was done in a timely manner.

I'm going to have to go against the majority on this one. I had a great experience from setting up the appointment, to confirming the appointment, the drop off was quick and easy and pickup was easy and quick. Darryl the technician did a great job and was very personable. We told him he did a great job and was so humble about it.Checkout was easy. She had my paperwork ready and I was in an out fairly quickly. The windshield looks great and they even made sure to replace my oil change sticker and they put my phone holder in the car that was affixed to the busted windshield.I would totally recommend and I will most definitely go back!

BOTCHED INSTALLATION - NO OFFER TO REMEDIATEI m writing at 4:40pm on a Tuesday. They re supposed to be open until 5. I came back here to speak with a manager but apparently they closed early. Was here nine months ago for a standard cracked windshield replacement on a Tundra. I was the last appointment (lesson learned, don t do that again).1. Installers cut the microphone for my aftermarket CarPlay radio, it was installed under the driver side A-pillar. Said it was my fault for not having it installed better. I lived with the issue until now, since I m back in the area.2. Excess glue left all over interior after they replaced.3. Exterior windshield combing not installed properly. Is hanging loose. They were rushing to leave that day and I m still paying for the rushed job.Would really appreciate it if someone responds with a solution since nobody is here at published working hours.

Easy as pie! Set up appointment online and my tech (Sean was awesome by the way) came out on time and completed the job very quickly. Very happy!

UPDATE: Owner responded here, but still no response from my multiple calls and emails to the Reisterstown location; this response what just a checkbox for them. At this point the safelite helpdesk has reached out to the District Manager in an attempt to have my care clean of all the glass as the local shop has been unresponsive.UPDATE2: After getting in contact with the District Manager I finally received a response. Safelite paid a 3rd party company to clean my car.ORIGINAL: I was on a call when he finished, so I looked that the new window was in and said Okay. I mean this is Safelite a national company, I am sure it is all good. I did not drive the car for a few days, but when I got in I was FLOOR to find glass everywhere. On the dash, the console, the carpet, the seats, IN THE VENTS!!! How did a small crack in the glass turn into such a large mess that was not cleaned up. The only way to get this all cleaned will be to have my car professionally detailed, which will cost me a couple hundred.Service: Auto windshield replacement

Had a windshield replaced on my brand new truck after it got hit be a rock. Appoint making was easy. Service was prompt. I was charged about $40 more than I was quoted on the phone, but that was fine.About a day after leaving, the piece that clips to the mirror and hides the wires fell and had a gluey substance that looked a lot like the glue they use on the windshield. After cleaning up the mess that it made, it took the piece inside to see why it was glued. The tabs were broken. Rather than tell me, they attempted to glue it and cover up their mistake. This is terrible and speaks poorly of the staff hired.I am not upset that it broke. It s a $7 part. It s a plastic clip, and that can happen, I get that.I am upset that the wrong tool was used to pry it off, seems like a screwdriver was jammed in there based on the scratches that I now have on the mirror housing. I am upset that when I tried to contact that store, get transferred right over to safelite main number. I am upset that customer care never answered, after trying several times. I am upset that after reaching out to support, no one got back to me. That is poor service. I have over 3 weeks for someone to contact me before I posted this review.I am most upset that someone on the team damaged my vehicle and then tried to cover it up. That is terrible customer service.I will not be doing work with Safelite any longer. Especially this location. Extremely dissatisfied with the customer support and integrity of the team at this location.

Two technicians showed up to replace our windshield on our Tahoe. We were in town visiting family and figured we d have it done while we were there. There was barely a word spoken by either of the technicians when they arrived, and I figured I d just leave them to do their job.I looked out on occasion out of curiosity and saw one technician sticking out of the sunroof with a pink microfiber towel, trying to wipe something off. I just assumed he was wiping the top area of the windshield and didn t go out to investigate. They took the vehicle out to recalibrate the front vehicle detection sensor, came back, and we assumed all was well. A simple sign here was all that was said after giving my credit card. They left and we began to look a little harder at the truck. Where the technician was wiping with the pink cloth turned out to be on the paint about 6 above the windshield. Whatever was on the paint was not coming off and was permanent. We called the tech and they of course denied anything. Called the manager, Mr. Boner, and he asked for pictures so we sent them. He claimed that the area was too high to have anything to do with their services, and was also denying any wrong-doing. After explaining that we saw one of the techs trying to wipe something off while sticking out of the sunroof he then suggested that the techs return and use some chemicals to get off adhesives . We waited, and no techs showed up, nor was there a follow up phone call.We emailed Mr. Boner and explained that we wanted a refund of our money and he agreed to do so. When we saw that the transaction was still processing, we tried calling (no answer) and tried emailing again. Only this time our email address has been blocked by system administrator .But wait, there s more...Once we returned home, it began to rain and the truck sat outside overnight. The next day we go to get in the truck and the entire driver s side floor is filled with water. So much so that the Weather Tech floor mat was submerged.Thankfully the people that are higher than Boner and friends are fixing everything and making it right.Long story short, avoid this particular Safelite location as it truly is an unprofessional clown show.Update:New technician at our home is replacing windshield. Noticed immediately that the windshield was installed too low. He showed me where the VIN cutout was and you can t even read the number.Again, avoid this Safelite location. It sucks.Update 2:This particular location did not get me taken care of . I had to go through USAA and Safelite corporate to get anything done. This location sucks and won t communicate with their customers. Avoid at all costs.

I discovered My truck had been broken in to on July 22nd! Front passenger side window broken and personal belongings taken! Needless to say I was a piranha take full of emotions but I did what needed to be done with no help from the police department of whom I called and never showed up!I had an event to go to so I figured getting my now open forever window crash wrapped was the best thing to do, so I went to Safelite (Catonsville) and requested the service. They said no problem, it'll be a little wait since there are cars ahead of Me I said no sweat I understand and continued on the phone with my 1001 calls that needed to be made to remedy this unfortunate mishap! The window had gotten done I had made my appointment to get it fixed by safelite mobile out of (Glen Bernie) which was the closest to my job but a good 5-6 days out. Whatever it needed to be fixed I'll be at work so pull up! The guy comes, I pause my work run downstairs give him the key and go back in. I get a phone call about 20 mins in (I can put the new glass in but you're missing a part)! I come back outside to see and try to figure out what he's referencing. Whoever wrapped the window and took the glass out must've kept or lost this particular piece. I'm confused as to why I'm being told this and why someone who works on glass on a regular basis would do this! I contact (Catonsville) and inform them this info and let them know I have a new glass but can't put my window down because they've misplaced or just didn't put all the pieces back together. They inform me that that's not something they would do so they don't know why the mobile tech would tell me that!So for two more days I'm on the phone with two locations passing the buck about whose fault it is that the piece is gone but (Glen Bernie) is the first to say we'll replace it no problem. I have to wait more days to get another mobile appointment to come out. The tech gets there and now there's another problem the regulator is broken so I literally can't move the window up and down! While driving with an actual passenger they tell me they cant open my car door from the inside (A new problemthat never even existedbefore the break in)! (Glen Bernie) agrees to fix it with no charge, I mean I've paid $477 out of pocket already for a glass so somebody needs to make it work. I wait more days for another appointment! New tech comes out and there's another issue (One of the feet that holds the glass when it's in the door is gone) Are you freakin kidding me?! I wait more days for another appointment for this to be fixed! August 21st My window was fixed it goes up and down the regulator and motor has been changed and the door opens from the inside once again, all while the tech is there! So I'm too happy at this point and thank the guy and everything is back alright with the world or so I thought. August 22nd my car is back not opening from the inside again! The question I have is WHY?! At this point I feel like just dealing with it is better than asking or calling safelite ever again! They put me through more hell than the idiot who broke into the truck in the first place! Safelite my azz I'll just deal with having to open everyone's door from now on!!

Absolutely horrible. In the past three weeks, I've had 3 appointments scheduled to have a windshield replaced. 1st visit, the windshield they brought had a scratch - couldn't install. One week later, didn't have the proper "a tool" - couldn't install (even though I continued to get text messages with the "Progress Report" and a final report telling me they were done). Today, 3rd appointment, called to say they didn't have the "right part" and would need to reschedule. As a business owner, I pay an employee to be at the warehouse to wait for these knuckleheads. Plus, I depend on having vehicles on the road. So, I'm out payroll for wasted hours of an employee and still down a vehicle (for 3 weeks now). The utter incompetence of this place is truly amazing. If, as a business owner, I ran my business like this, I would be out of business! Don't waste your time with these people. Go to Westminster Auto Glass - the work will get done.

I scheduled and paid for a home visit to replace my windshield. The appointment was for 8-12. My tech called at 9:45am to say he d be well after 12. Ok, thanks for letting me know. He ended up showing up at 3:30pm. They are understaffed and overbooked, I get it-that s everyone now. What I don t like is that I paid extra for the visit that ended up costing more because I didn t make the 3:30 doctor s appointment for my elderly father and there s a charge for that. My technician is still here, I really hope it turns out well

I came here for a chip repair - Eric was great. Before I knew his name, I saw the achievement certificate and knew it was him by how he interacted with me. Michelle at the front desk was very unpleasant. I hate pulling the race card but she treated me like I worked there, did not explain anything, and made me feel like a bother. I waited for an hour for a service that approximately takes 30 minutes. Yet, a lady came on after me who was done in 10 minutes. I don t appreciate that or the level of unprofesaiobaliam that she presented in comparison to the other patrons who had walked in. Thank you Eric for staying professional and that achievement certificate was well deserved!!

I recently had a small crack repaired on my Tesla's auto glass and had high hopes for the professionalism of the service. However, luck was not on my side as the crack actually grew ten times larger just one hour after the repair. This experience left me disappointed and I cannot recommend spending $200 on an unprofessional repair when you can purchase a repair kit on Amazon for $30 and potentially achieve better results by working on your car yourself.

I had my front wind replaced there on 2-23-23. I would not recommend this location to anyone because the staff that repaired my car scratched the leather on my gearshift. I wrote an email to their customer care email address and I am currently waiting for their response. I am very unsatisfied with this locations work and I will not use them again. I should of read the reviews prior to going.

Over the weekend, Saturday,I set an appointment with them for a windshield replacement,I have a large break going most of the way across the windshield and don't want to risk using the car, they agreed to come out Monday from 12-5, they contact me at 530 that afternoon advising they can't make it. They advise me they will make it right. Next morning at 8am they advise Thursday is earliest they can get to me,again at 12-5. Again they miss there appointment. Trying local options now.Update: I contacted a local auto glass company here in Westminster MD. My cost for the replacement project is going from $550.67 with taxes/fees/etc to $325 with taxes/fees/etc. I am actually kinda happy at this point that things didn't work out with Safelite.

Would not recommend using safelite. We made an appointment online for a full windshield replacement over a week out. We put in all vehicle info, VIN included. The technician pulled up and said that he had the wrong windshield and this happens all of the time. He simply left. Promised someone would call. Naturally, nobody did. I cannot get ahold of this local store (Reisterstown, MD), only a call center. Needless to say, my appointment is pushed out to July 21st, I am still stuck paying full price and can only get through to a call center. We will definitely not be using them again and would recommend others look elsewhere!UPDATE: Install performed today and we were charged an additional $450 for calibration. This was never agreed to at the time of purchase. When I called in the manager stated they had to order a different windshield due to my mistake and held the charge. SO UNPOROFESSIONAL. Use anyone else but safelite!Service: Auto windshield replacement

Went today to have my windshield fixed. Mark was very nice and professional. They took care of my needs in a timely and affordable manner. Very good experience with this location. And they were able to serve me an hour before my appointment time. Will definitely recommend them. I needed my rear windshield replaced and took my car into the Safelite in Reisterstown as the complexity of rear windshield requires the work to be done in-shop (according to their website). I was very happy that the work took less than 2 hours and the new windshield looked great. Over the next few days I find out that 1) My trunk no longer opened, 2) the washer fluid for the rear windshield no longer worked and 3) the rear windshield wiper was no longer wiping because it wasn't making good contact with the windshield. I had to make a warranty appt with the Safelite in Columbia to get all these issues fixed, had to take off half a day of work for the drive and wait at Columbia, so they could fix the mistakes made by the Safelite in Reisterstown. I didn't have to pay for the warranty repair, but really, I lost money for gas and time away from work.Service: Auto windshield replacement

My experience started Mid September 2021. Had an appointment to have my windshield replaced. Brought my vehicle to have the job completed but find out they have ordered the wrong size windshield. This happened not once but 3 times. Finally, today, January 2022 the job was completed. The manager had told me and wrote down the 2nd time that he d take $50 off my deductible because of their incompetence. The 3rd time, he said and wrote down that he d take $60 off my deductible. Today when the job was done, he said the system wouldn t let him deduct the anything off my deductible. Terrible, terrible way to do business!!!!!Services: Auto windshield replacement, Wiper blade installation

My windshield was cracked, so I couldn't pass a Maryland state inspection. I went through my insurance company, who has a partnership with Safelite. This was a huge mistake. Arnold from Safelite never showed for his scheduled appointment with me (egregiously scheduled between 12p-5p). I called Leslie (or Betsy. She mumbled and refused to give me her name again) at the office, who was quite unpleasant to work with. She was adamant about ensuring me that Arnold does not have to do the work if he does not want to, and she would not and could not make him. This petulant attitude is why I called Extreme Vivid Auto that same day, and got the work done the next day. I strongly discourage using Safelite if punctuality is desired and ostentation is to be avoided.Service: Auto windshield replacement

Excellent work and service! They were done quickly and even reinstalled my EZPass in the exact spot of new windshield! I had to reschedule my appointment several times for personal reasons and the online calendar made it very easy. They've done 4 windshields for me in the last few years (I do a lot of highway driving with flying rocks), and it's also great when they come to my location.

The tech did a good job on my windshield replacement. The front desk guy (assuming he is the manager) is hard to deal with. Ignored me for 10 minutes even though I had an appointment and was standing in front of him the whole time with no one in front. Talked bad about other customers in front of customers. Did not help the situation in any way. If only they hire a proper customer friendly front desk, this would be a five star worthy place.

Professional from the first phone call to set-up an appointment! Mark and his staff did a terrific job in replacing the windshield on my CR-V. When picking up my car (after receiving a call), Mark gave me complete instructions on car washes etc. Whenever I need or know of someone else who requires glass replacement, I will reccomend this location.

My insurance company sent me here to get my windshield replaced. These people are extremely unprofessional, smoking in the office, they said one thing and then did another. Offered me free wipers and then added a $30 bill at the end of the transaction. They also tried to get out of doing the sensor recalibration multiple times for my car being too low even though it comes from the factory like that.Service: Auto windshield replacement

My appointment was 8 AM today (tuesday). I was travelling from Hanover, MD and picked my dads car from owings mills who is in the hospital. I reached the place at 8.17 AM because of the traffic. The lady in the front denied to take me in because i was late! I explained her my situation but she would still not take me in. This is ridiculous and not a business you want to work with!!

Absolutely the worst of all repair shops. Do not keep any commitments whatsoever. Don't have enough workers. Workers are poorly trained. And the customer service staff is absolutely clueless. I have extremely high turnover and do not keep their schedule commitments, just a big waste of time. I do not work for safelite, have never worked for safelite, I am not a robot and I am simply providing a civil service to the community with an honest review. Their management is really the problem because they are completely mismanaged as an organization I received the reference from progressive insurance, and I am sorry that I used them.Service: Auto windshield repair

Initial experience was fine. Had back power window replaced. Few days after installation water was coming in through the window seal. Scheduled 2nd appointment for replacement at same location. Picked up the vehicle and before I left I noticed glass all throughout my vehicle, inside and out. There was even glass in my children's car seats. The manager apologized and offered to vacuum up the glass. A few days later water was coming through the seal again. This would be my 3rd window. I immediately returned to the safelite location and asked to speak to the manager. He was not working that day and the guy who was running the shop that day said he would have the manager contact me. Never was contacted by anyone from Safelite. If I wasn't going through my insurance company I would never return to a safelite location, especially the Reisterstown MD location. If you have to use Safelite for your repairs do not use this location.Service: Auto power window repair

i posted a review to their website which was deleted... I was also told I would be contacted from the local office to rectify the issue...which has yet to happen after 3 weeks. Tech damaged our vehicle when removing the windshield and also did not install the roof mounding correctly. Good luck trying to get them to stand behind their "warranty". Not to mention they needed to come out on 2 seperate occasions to replace our windshield. I do not have the time to continue to deal with this.

Installed new windshield in my faithful 95 f150. Very well done, smooth and easy. They even installed new wiper blades at no cost to me. Windshield and wipers were paid by Erie insurance company.
