Realistically one of the worst car experiences I've had. I went there upon a referral from my normal shop and since my experience was so bad I've stopped going to my normal shop. While they do work with car warranty's their diagnostic skills are an absolute zero. I was even told that I didn't tell them what was wrong with the car (which I did I relayed the info to the gentleman at the front desk) so they can't properly diagnose the issue. Sir my check engine light was on and you claimed you drove it yourself. That should be enough for an experienced mechanic to figure out the issue. I was called to pick up my vehicle three times and each time I went to get it it would not start and they always had some crappy excuse. Finally on the 4th time I went to pick it up it started and drove but my check engine light came back on. I'm just going to head to the dealer. I'm never going to this establishment again. I'm afraid to even go there to fulfill a warranty issue with what they claim they did fix. Really use this place at your own risk.

Run from this business as fast as you can. It is a SCAM!!! The business practices are unlawful. They actually started working on my car without my permission; all I asked for was an estimate. Then I felt obligated to allow them to do the work. However, for everything they "fix" a new problem arises. I took my vehicle in for an estimate 9/19/22. It has been in and out of the shop with the original steering problem not fixed and with new problems. Now, 2/22/23, vehicle has more problems than when I first dropped it off 5 months ago. How did they make my vehicle worse not better? Now, it can't even pass inspection with all of the lights on the dash that are lit up. (No dash lights were on when I first let Aamco work on my car). This is an expensive headache that you can avoid. There is no customer service. No one has authority to take responsibility. How convenient. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS!! I would give negative stars if it were an option.Services: Steering & suspension repair, Electrical

The customer service was nice however I had a bad experience bringing my car here for an inspection. I booked an appointment for a diagnostic and when I brought it in they told me I couldn t wait there due to the pandemic. I understand social distancing but most car service centers have made exceptions for this. They could ve at least given me a heads up when I scheduled the appointment. After booking an Uber to go wait at Starbucks for over 3 hours I went back and was told they didn t have enough time to complete the diagnostic before close and had no answers for me. Very disappointing

I was told my car was good to drive when it was not. Not even 5 miles from the shop, my car was doing exactly what it was brought in for. My car was with them essentially all week. They then LIED about rodent damage to my car after I took it to the dealership. They intentionally damaged my car and are still refusing to take responsibility

This location stole my car and lied about not having my car after I drop it of to be checked out and to have it serviced when I showed up I was told they don t have my car and owner refuses to speak with me about my car. Be careful of this location they are liars and will take your car and money and don t do no repairs.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I dropped my car off here to have the transmission and clutch looked at. I was a little skeptical, but they called me the next day and were very honest. They didn't think there was any problem with the transmission or clutch, but instead something with the engine or intake system. They very easily could have just told me I needed clutch work done and I would have believed them, but they were kind and spent time taking a test ride with me to see what problems I initially brought it in for. And they didn't charge me for the diagnostic they did or time they spend. Greatly appreciated

I took my car to this place yesterday to get a diagnostic on my transmission because I wanted to rule out transmission problems. They told me I had transmission problems and that I needed a rebuilt one. Mind you, I didn't get any paperwork at all, nor was I charged. It is my belief that the car was driven for a few minutes and a determination was made that my trans was bad, wrong. Not really sure exactly what was done. I took it to another mechanic, a reputable one, Jewish...he said there is absolutely nothing wrong with my transmission, there are no codes popping up, I just need to replace the motor mount on my Buick because that's whats making my car jerk. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Please go to someone you can trust.

This shop is a joke . We took our car in to get a diagnostic done after hearing they go thru with a fine comb . The manager clearly just wanted the money . Only looked at the problem in which we stated . And that was after keeping the vehicle for several days . The car clearly needs brakes and that wasn t even mentioned. Things occurring to the car that weren t happening prior to the visit . The Demeanor in the way the manager handled the situation was very ignorant. Poor customer service. Save your money save your time and energy. Not criticizing all locations however he is a representation of this company

I am very disappointed with this location. I've been coming here for years to get service, the work was good, slight problem with timing and scheduling but nothing major. I scheduled an appointment for October 30th for 9 am for a oil change, engine diagnostic, and overall check. When I dropped my vehicle off (on time) I spoke with the rep and we clarified the services I was here for and that I definitely needed a oil change and depending on what was found I may get some other work done. No problem, around 3:30pm I called to get an update, I was told it wasn't finished yet, I also asked what time they were closing he stated 6pm. At 5:20 pm I caught an uber and I arrived around 5:45 to a locked door and no one answering the phones. I was highly upset , I made an appointment for a oil change and diagnostic who in their right mind expect a day+ to get a oil change and diagnostic especially when i had an appt and nothing was said that they're backed up nothing. I caught users back and forth, I needed an oil change because I was driving to PA that night, this has been the worst experience. And to top that, only reason I got my car nack that night was because they had it parked directly outside with the keys in the ignition. This highly unexceptable, and body passing through would've had a free car to do whatever. I'm never going to this location again, and don't recommend it to anyone.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Oil change

I took my car there because it would not start. When you tried to start it there was no sound. They diagnosed it as needing a battery. Since I had a warranty on the battery I had AAA come out and test the battery. The AAA person tested the battery and it was good. The AAA person who only installs batteries diagnosed the problem as needing the negative terminal replaced. She replaced it and the car started. I told the aamco rep that the problem wasnt the battery. Rather than admit they did not diagnose the problem accurately they charged me 65.00 for the diagnostic. I paid it because that was what I agreed to pay. They got 65.00 but have lost my business and gotten a bad review. If they had not charged me and said we missed it I could have respected that. You decide whether you want to do business with them.

Brought my 2007 Mercedes benz in to get checked out August 2017 because i pulled to a light and the car just would not go into gear. They told me i needed a rebuilt transmission,i was skeptical since my car only had 88,000 miles on it and was not giving me previous problems. I was reluctant to do it but i did. Then they said i needed torque converter and valve body. My total price came close to$4000. Now it's 14 months later my car will not shift pass 1st gear. I took it back to them on a Monday morning they did not look at my car until that friday! So my warranty was up so i had to pay$90.00 for diagnostic. So i did reluctantly. They said i need a valve body and electric plate, for a total of $1900! So i understand my warranty was up but my argument is nothing should be going on with the transmission period! So of course i didn't have$1900 so i picked my car back up. They did not try to offer a discount or anything! I feel like i was scammed and taken advantage of! I do not trust anything they say get a 2nd opinion before you invest thousands of dollars into what they tell you wrong with your car. I am very unsatisfied at this point! I have a$4000 transmission (so they say) that goes out a year later! SEEM SHADY! So i took it to Mercedes dealer they said i need torque converter and valve body! ! DO NOT TRUST aamco WITH YOUR CAR!!

AAMCO is a fraud!I have the check engine light, break and ABS lights on. I took it to AAMCO for diagnostics. They told me that it will cost me $65 to diagnose and find out why the lights are on and that it will take 4hours to do that.It took them almost 24hours to call and tell me that they discovered that there is no power feeding a component, therefore they will have to first, trace the wires and restore power to the component and it will cost me $384.After about 2 days, they called me to inform me that it will take me a total of about $970 to fix just the check engine light problem. I demanded to go pick my car as it was outrageous for me.Then i went there to pick my car and i paid the initial $384 for the diagnostic/ tracing and repair of wires. But i discovered that the break and ABS lights are on, so i asked what the problem was, they could not mention anything and i asked, what was the diagnostics for? and why did i pay almost $400 to find out the cause of a problem but to no avail? Waste of money!Secondly, i noticed a strange sound from the engine that was not there when i handed the car over to them, the excuse they gave for this was just vague and unconvincing.thirdly, i handed over my car to them with a full tank(85 liter tank) of gas, when i picked it up it was on almost 1/4 tank.AAMCO is a fraud and incompetent cheat.

I bought this coupon in Groupon for oil change. I decided today 4/20/2015 10 AM to go for the oil change. Met this elderly guy sitting on the desk. Told him am here for the oli change and I had an engine light on and I told him am using a coupon. He said there will be a $7 fee for store supplies. So they checked my engine light and I was told I have Suspension problem, Vehicle overheats, Radiator leaking. Told me he will have to charge $70 for a good diagnosis which I obligated I will bring it the next day fro the service. He kept insisting I leave the car for the service. I told him I cant coz I got to go to work. He said the car will overheat and it will break on the highway. Since I came with it I knew I could go back with it safely. So when I pulled over the car started to overheat the thermal start was going towards hot. One block away I pulled over to dollar store bought a coolant to my surprise I filled the whole gallon to the radiator. I started driving again this time paying attention to the thermostat. IT NEVER OVERHEATED AGAIN. So I left this so called off AMMCO empty the guy knew that but never told me that its empty for me to drive and break my car 2nd) The oil change was not changed but they said they did and OHH listen to this... When your car is done an oil change they normally put a sticker on your wind shield when the next oil change is due. The guy told me we run off of the stickers. ON A MONDAY EARLY MORNING?????????? He only told me that when I reached home and I was making a complain. In a better place when they do oil change they fill at least wind shield cleaner and do the oil change. So when I asked him why they could not fill the coolant the guy told me its not free which I understand fill it up and I will pay. He told me there is no need to fill it up and its going to leak again. I just checked the coolant in my car. It seems there is no leakage either they drained it and wanted to pay for nothing. CUSTOMERS GO THERE AT YOUR OWN RISK AND PAY FOR NOTHING

I came here year ago and had motor mounts replaced and transmission mount replaced. A year later they broke in my car I called and spoke with Singh and he said bring the car back and they would replace everything for free. I want to thank ammo in Randall's town for there loyalty you do not get that often with car repaired services.

Our truck was recently estimated at AAMCO and we were told that we needed transmission work which at a minimum would cost $2,300. This amount could increase up to another $1,000 for "hard parts" depending on what they found when they started doing the work. They also told us that there was non-transmission work that needed to be fixed in order for the fixed transmission to work. This would be approx. $700 more. Therefore, total job between $3k-4k.We took the truck for a second opinion and were told that there was absolutely NOTHING wrong with the transmission. Fluid was leaking and this was causing the problem. The complete fix for this non-transmission work was only $500 (and not the $700 that AAMCO was going to charge us). I don't know if AAMCO was going to fix the real problem and claim that they did transmission work or if AAMCO was actually going to do unnecessary transmission work on our truck - either way, it was fraudulent and unnecessary.AAMCO needs to learn that honesty is the best policy and deception and gauging customers never pays. Shame on you - smh!!!

I own a 2007 chevy Malibu few weeks back temp gauge start acting up and transmission started shifting hard in gear I decided to take to dealership to get it checked out. after diagnosing the vehicle dealer recommended replacing the transmission and cluster with charge of $3450.00. I decided to get a second opinion from another shop. I took my vehicle to aamco transmission of Randallstown they diagnose the vehicle stating car has wiring problem .to repair the wiring cost will be $ 270.00..I authorized the repair thinking $270.00 is better than $3450.00. Few hours later mr shawn called back stating vehicle is fully fixed and temp gauge is working.i was amazed and decided to go there for test drive. GUESS WHAT VEHICLE WAS COMPLETELY FIXED.

If i could give a zero i would. The sr manager singh is a sexist jerk that doesn't listen to what women say about their cars. He doesnt believe we know anything. They replaced my clutch and not even a day later it started to slip. The service writer told me that my brake caliber was locking up. Like i dont know the difference between a tire not rolling versus an rpm shooting up and the car not accelerating. Horrible horrible customer service. Beware when taking your vehicle here.

$$**BEWARE**BEWARE**BEWARE**BEWARE**BEWARE**BEWARE**$$HORRIBLE**HORRIBLE**SERVICE!!! THIS RANDALLSTOWN AAMCO LOCATION CARES MORE ABOUT CHARGING HIGH PRICES THAN PERFORMING QUALITY SERVICE! WILL FIND ANYWAY POSSIBLE WAY TO CHARGE CUSTOMERS ESPECIALLY IF NOT GETTING SERVICE DONE THERE. SHAWN SINGH (MANAGER) WHO WORKS THERE MAKES UP PRICES AS HE GOES ALONG AND HAS A BAIT AND SWITCH SYSTEM HE DOES TO CUSTOMERS. SHAWN SINGH WILL TELL YOU HE WILL DO A FREE DIAGNOSTIC CHECK/ESTIMATE ON YOUR VEHICLE AND IF YOU DECIDE NOT TO GET THE WORK DONE THERE AT AAMCO HE WILL CHARGE $140.00 AFTER DIAGNOSTIC WAS SUPPOSE TO BE A FREE/ESTIMATE. SHAWN SINGH WILL TELL YOU ONE PRICE TO GET YOUR BUSINESS THEN SUDDENLY INCREASE THE PRICE AFTER WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT.THEY/SHAWN SINGH (MANAGEMENT) HAS NO RESPECT FOR WOMEN CUSTOMERS AND TRYS THEIR BEST TO GET OVER AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE (BAIT&SWITCH)!!!!!!!! BUSINESS IS SLOW THERE DIDNT SEE MUCH WORK BEING DONE. JUST MECHANICS SITTING AROUND. SO THAT MAY BE REASON HE IS INFLATING PRICES.ABSOLUTELY NO INTEGRITY OR GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL!!!! MONEY/HIGH PRICES IS THE ONLY SERVICE SHAWN SINGH (MANAGER) THEY'RE ARE FOCUSED ON. WILL TELL YOU ANYTHING TO GET YOUR BUSINESS AND INCREASE PRICES ON CUSTOMERS AND GIVE RUN AROUNDS.I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND BRINGING YOUR VEHICLE TO THIS AAMCO BUSINESS IN RANDALLSTOWN MD, TO HAVE WORK DONE!!!!! SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE AND HASSLE OF BEING LIED TO AND OVER CHARGED FOR POOR SERVICE!!!!!
