Stayed at this jewel for one night and the room was fine. What wasn't fine was that i left my Samsung earbuds on the nightstand and my phone confirmed that they were at the hotel. When i called to get them the girl on the phone told me no one turned any earbuds in without even looking to see. I told her this was two weeks earlier so i guess they don't even have a lost and found. Someone employed with the hotel had to have taken them is my guess. The day we checked in the front desk clerk had her kids In the lobby riding scooters. When we arrived back from our show they were asleep on the lobby sofa. A bit sketchy.

We enjoyed our family vacation. Although the refrigerator did not work properly. The tv had a lot of static on the channels. The restaurant is directly next to the hotel and the food is very delicious. .Rooms: Could ve been better

Beautiful location. We really enjoyed the views, the pier, the balcony, and the size of the room. The service was lacking. We stayed 3 nights and maids did not service our room once. I told them the first day we'd be good with them just taking the trash, but then no one even came back to do that the other 2 nights. We had to ask the front desks for towels and such. The front desk lady was often sitting right out front smoking as well. Friendly and kind, lady, just not a great first impression of the hotel.Nearby activities: Camp Merryland Beach

Awesome stay, everyone was super nice! The room had a great water view, but a slight smell at first, though it vanished once I turned on the AC.Loved the central AC system-much better than the usual wall units in other places.Only snag was during check-in, waited around 30 minutes as there was no one at the counter. A bell to call for help would be handy.Shared a cool dock by the water with the restaurant next door, and it was super close to the restaurant. The only downside was no WiFi in the room, just in the lobby. But overall, I enjoyed my stay and the chill vibes.Recommended!

1 star property with NO amenities. Even the beverage machine was empty. The continental breakfast was utilitarian. But, the views are magnificent. There is a restaurant next door serving lunch and dinner. The food is pretty good.Nearby activities: There is a restaurant next door. The next closest retail or food establishment is nine miles away. There are many chain restaurants and stores about 20 minutes away.

The location is beautiful. The hotel is old and in DESPERATE need of work and remodeling. Housekeeping is lazy, my room had stuff on the ugly blue artwork that needed to be cleaned off. There was stuff on the walls that was easily wiped away. The door lock was held on by duct tape. There is only one SMALL ice machine for the whole hotel. Breakfast is minimal. Staff is different than I am used to. The wood table, shutter and sliding doors were all broken, easily fixed if someone were to try. I will stay again for the location only.Safety: I'm not sure about safety considering the lock on the 3rd floor sliding door was broken and the duct tape on the lock.Food & drinks: There is a restaurant, seafood, right next door.

I started to book my reservation with one of the many online is line outlets. None of them promised a water view. When I called the hotel reservation line they did promise a water view so I booked with them for for $15 more. After arriving I learned that every room has a water view. The views are spectacular. The room was very good, Modern and clean. Every room has a balcony.A few nits:There was only one bar of soap in the room. It would be nice to have one for the shower and one for the sink. There was no meat Included in the breakfast and the only thing that was hot was the waffles. If this review was helpful to you please give it a thumbs up.

Took a day trip here to visit the local attractions and thought the stay was very comfortable. The staff are friendly and the rooms are very spacious with separate bedrooms and living areas. The hotel has its own pier and the restaurant next door has great drinks! We had a beautiful view of the sunset from our room which was well worth the price.

The only hotel in Saint George Island. If you want to stay in very quiet and peaceful place with great views this is the one. But don t expect too much. Hotel itself isn t very welcoming and sort of outdated. The staffs didn t look like professional. Breakfast was not t even okay. Nevertheless you will be amazed by 360 degrees awesome views with beautiful sunrise and sunset. Don t forget to visit Ruddy Duck Seafood and Alehouse, the restaurant right next door. Their food was awesome!

I agree with a review by S. Andrew here. The hotel has beautiful view. BUT, it has thin wall and floor. Any noise that the rooms next to yours make, you'll be able to hear it. If someone walk with their heavy boots above of your room, you'll hear it too. The guest who stayed next to our room amped up his music volume and turned on his TV all night. I did try to call the lobby but the the line was always busy. But, when we called the hotel's phone number, it was picked up. We then addressed the issue, and they went up to resolve it. The guest next-door finally turned off his music but not his TV that was on for almost 24 hours. If you still want to visit the place (because the view is AMAZING!), be prepare to bring a white noise or noise cancelling headphone, your own coffee, and food. Our room was clean and tidy when we arrived. The furniture is a bit old, but that is not an issue. There are 2 chairs in the balcony where we can enjoy the water view. The famous restaurant next-door is pricey if your budget is tight. I suggest to bring your own food so you can make your own while staying. There is a grill, 2 picnic tables and several chairs behind the hotel facing the water where you can do barbecue when the weather is good.

Beautiful views from the room -- even though it faced the parking lot, we still had an amazing view of the bay beyond. But the room didn't feel very clean -- the sheets were stained (I think/HOPE they were clean, but they did still have stains on them -- maybe something that just couldn't come out in the wash), and I found what looked like makeup residue on some of the towels. The TV was pretty small and many of the channels were glitchy (video and/or audio didn't work). Overall, this hotel got the job done -- a getaway in a beautiful setting for an affordable price, but just be aware that it's nothing fancy. The Ruddy Duck restaurant is right next door and was both delicious and convenient.

Staff was unprofessional and rude to my disabled adventure buddy. The GM literally got mad at me for the staff not doing their job. I didn t know until the morning of check out that my friends bed appeared to have food and makeup stains all over it neither of us wear make up, so wasn t from us. GM basically yelled at me and accused me of lying about our stay. Nobody answers the desk phone, so the only way to address anything is in person and they yell at you for not fixing it. Room was super dirty too. Wish I could add pictures here.Towels are old and so thin they re about to rip. White bedding is stained and not really white. Shower head malfunction resulted in water everywhere; I was advised to clean it up then I had to beg for more towels and the removal of old towels. They literally had to step over old wet towels to leave new towels.2 starts for location and river views. Balcony was nicest part. As long as we we re out on adventures we had a great trip. I m so grateful it didn t rain and we didn t need to be in the room all weekend. I literally paid way too much for this experience.

This hotel has beautiful rooms facing the water on both sides. I loved the views. Beautiful especially in the morning when the sun comes up. Beautiful road ( scenery) that lead to the hotel. The only thing I didn't give it 5 stars because the rooms and the balcony needed cleaning. The balcony was full of spider webs. I told the lady at the desk that.someone should sweep the ceiling and spray the area and to change the blanket. When I came back to my room I found clean blanket and clean room but nothing was done to the balcony. On line they state that there is coffee in the suite , there was a coffee machine but no coffee. I asked the front desk lady she said they don't put coffee packages or pods or bags. By the way everyone who served there was wonderful except the lady , I think she was the general manager. I recommend this hotel if they take care of the cleaning issue.

Had an overall pleasant experience escaping to this place. It is literally right by the water and it has a beachy feeling. They seem to be following corona guidelines well. To list out a few cons: Breakfast is not available right now, just some coffee (mediocre). It s understandable, but felt like this should ve been made aware in the confirmation email as breakfast places are a bit of a drive from the inn. We clearly stated there were four guests but only two towels were in the bathroom upon arrival. Went to the receptionist to ask for more towels and some bar soap to wash hands but she said they were out and waiting for a shipment. Never heard about bar soap again so washed our hands with the dish soap available for the remainder of our trip. The bed linens that we were given for the pull out couch could ve been cleaner; there were stains. Also, for the three days we were here the receptionists did not wear masks when interacting with us (handing off towels, shampoo, etc.)The amazing view and the things to do outweighed the cons for me. 30 minutes drive to restaurants and hiking trails, state parks, etc. Or you can drive five minutes to a little fishing area with docks and benches to relax and eat. Wished we could ve hit up Ruddy Duck next door but they are closed Mondays and Tuesdays.I would definitely come back here and would rate it a full five stars if the criteria above is fixed!

Great Location! Friendly staff!! Hair dryer had 1/4" of dust on in it. Ants (little) were annoying. Bed was too soft, both my husband and I are now crooked lol Toilet handle was broken.Balcony floor needs major repair. We love the area! Most of the sidewalks roll up at 9.

This place is a gem, off the beaten path, with everything you need plus epic water views nearly 360. This means both sunrise and sunset over the water...amazing. It's not anywhere near a city (thank goodness) with one restaurant (excellent) right next door. The staff was most helpful and friendly, and the morning breakfast was more than sufficient. It's perfect for a romantic getaway or a family vacation (what we did). We'll definitely be back!

Great location and check-in was fast. Before we even entered the room we noticed our door as well as others on the floor were marked up and dirty with hand prints. The kitchen area as well as most of the walls were dirty and had random dried "things" on them. The bathroom walls as well as the shower curtin had stains on them.Walking outside on the balcony the bottom part of the trim outside of the door was pulled out about 7". The outside balcony laminate hard flooring was completely worn and coming up. (You could literally pick up the individual strips of flooring.)The walls are extremely thin in the rooms. We could here every word that was said in the room beside us as well as above us. If you have very low expectations but want to pay premium for a hotel on the water then this place is perfect.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was very accommodating and had a beautiful view. Price was reasonable. Only complaint was location...only one road leading in and out. Happened to be a serious car accident on the road as we were leaving the area and we had to return to the hotel to "wait it out". Not the hotel's fault. Just something to be aware of.

The room had a great view but wasn't very clean. The shower curtain had mildew, the toilet kept running, the sheets were stained and when we told them they said we could come downstairs to get new ones. We were never informed at check in that our room would not be cleaned due to covid. They didn't even empty our trash. We had to bring it downstairs to throw out. The trash can was bursting at the seams so we were told to just put it on top of the can. Overall , not impressed at all.

My parents have stayed here several times when visiting and unfortunately this stay was not good. First of all upon entering their room the couch was stained all over the back of it and when they question an employee the answer was that their cleaning lady sprayed it and several others with bleach. The shower was not cleaned well and had soap scum and grime on it. My eleven year old daughter that weighs maybe 95 pounds was able to just push door open without even using a key.The worst part about their stay wasn't any of this though, it was the rude lazy employees. The employee at the front desk thinks that she is running a daycare and is able to bring her children to work. At any given time there are multiple people hanging out behind the front desk most of which the children of the employees. During breakfast when asked about items that weren't being restocked the employee rolled her eyes, huffed, and than got out of her chair and and replied with "fine I'll get it."
