While on my way to New York, I had car troubles and needed to pull over immediately. My car wouldn't accelerate to highway speeds and would come to a halt. I called Austin's shop and he offered to help me out as much as he could, with the limited time we had. He was able to diagnose and fix the problem and I made it safely round trip. He went above and beyond what I would normally expect and even called to make sure I got on the road without any issues. His integrity and work ethic is exactly what you want from your mechanic. Austin is a very conscientious and professional person, very thorough in his work. And if you don't quite understand the cost of the repair and exactly what is being done, Austin takes the time to break down and itemize things for you so you have a clear understanding and he has no problem showing you exactly what is going on with your vehicle, faulty parts, and explaining your options, if applicable. This was very beneficial for me since I've had bad experiences with other repair shops. I am thankful Austin patiently explained and showed me in detail why the repairs were necessary. I'm sure I must have tested his patience but kudos to him for keeping his composure explaining everything and capably repairing my vehicle.

This guy is awesome. My tire blew out on rt 40 today and I happened to pull over right beside his shop. I didn t even realize it was an auto shop. I was out there trying to find someone who could bring me a spare tire and Mr. Cunningham walked out and asked if needed help. He was already closed for the day and he told me to pull over to his garage bay he had a tire that would fit. Very kind, clean, efficient, and professional. I would recommend these guys to anybody. He gave me WAY more than a fair price for everything. Thank you so much for your help today.

Austin is extremely professional. He took care of my mom's 4 runner and being completely honest.... I cannot express how much attention to detail he committed to the vehicle.he showed us exactly what was done along with the old ruined parts. This is 100% our new mechanic and I would highly highly recommend him anytime! He does it all and you can tell he has his heart in his work, again highly recommend him! I was stuck with really low tire pressure and I wasn't sure how much further I could make it up the road. My friend recommended I come here since I was nearby. He fit me right in and explained everything he was doing thoroughly. He was extremely knowledgable. I felt comfortable and not pressured at all for a service that wasn't necessary.Service: Tires

I just got work done by Cunningham's Automotive for the first time this week on a referral from my brother. I was impressed by the attention to detail and could tell that they cared about my car. They take pride in their work and it shows. The work was done well and the price was on point. Was professional, friendly, transparent and responsive. Just got my brakes,rotors, hoses, caliper replaced today. He did it in such a timely manner even with the time restrictions we had on our end. he took the time out to show the old parts he took out. And inform us of the damage done to the old parts. He informed us of a few things to be knowledgeable next time we get our parts done. I can t give Cunningham s automotive enough praise for all the outstanding work he s done on my vehicles over the past year. His superlative knowledge and mechanical intellect surpasses any automotive shop I ve ever been to. He is very personable and his prices are reasonable and comparable to other mechanics even though he goes above and beyond any expectations I have. He is extremely thorough and treats my vehicles as if they were his own. I ve recommended my family and neighbors to him and they all are equally satisfied with his work. I suggest anybody who needs repairs or even general maintenance to call him. Stopped in for an oil change because I desperately needed one, took him about 30 minutes to do including topping off all fluids and inspected my tires. Took such great care of my car! I highly recommend because not only is he a small business owner, but makes sure your car is running smooth and pays attention to everything about your car. 10/10 service, would come back!!Services: Auto maintenance, Oil change

I went to Cunningham s Automotive LLC with a heavy chest due to my vehicle issues and my treatment by other mechanics who were unable to help or wanted an astronomical fee to fix my shocks and valve cover gasket replacements on a foreign vehicle. After finding and talking to Austin at Cunningham s in Perryville I decided to bring my vehicle to them. It was the smartest thing I could have ever done. Austin listened to my issues and concerns which most mechanics do not do. Not only did he fix the issues I had, Austin explained the work that was done in detail so that I had a better understanding of what was done. He is a very meticulous, knowledgeable, diligent, professional and master at his craft. Cunningham s pricing is fair and reasonable for the work that they perform. He treated my vehicle with care and as if it were his own. It now runs smoothly and I don t have the worries that I had before knowing that I can trust him with my vehicle at anytime. I will now only use Cunningham s for any automotive issues or regular maintenance. It s very hard to find a competent, honest and fair priced repair shop these days. My 99 Chevy Cavalier started to have issues shifting gears. I inquired at two other shops who basically told me to go to a trans shop and said they probably couldn t do anything for it. I saw Cunnighams Automotive in a posting late last year and thought let me give him a shot. I called and arranged to bring it over. Let me tell you I have not had GREAT SERVICE like this since my personal mechanics back in North Jersey. Austin is a one man show . He analyzed everything it could be before even mentioning the transmission. And for having to handle that work, he did it all! From removing, sending out to rebuild and reinstalling which was done perfectly. Showed me all things and offered options on items that could or should be done while trans was out. No upsell or pressures. Straight up honest. He is professional, courteous and extremely informative as far as my interaction with him went. Even gave me a call to see how my car was running which I can attest like a new car! And his pricing for everything was awesome and fair! I recommend him to everyone! I will 100% be using his services again!Services: Transmission, Oil change

Austin was amazing at diagnosing and fixing the issue on my ford edge. I had previously took it to a shop that had told me the noise i was hearing was my flex pipe and it would still be good to drive, I should of took it for a second opinion sooner as I knew there was no way the issue was my flex pipe but I kept driving it anyway. After searching for a decent auto shop to get it towed to I came across cunninghams and decided this would be the the place to trust my one and only vehicle at, best decision ever! Austin had already looked at and diagnosed the problem the same day even though he had told me he wouldnt have a chance until monday. He explained the issue and showed me where it was located at, he kept me informed through the process of locating the replacement part and how long it would take to arrive, and what he would have to do to remove the transfer case, the cause of the problem and sound i was hearing. By the next week (towed to the shop on a friday, part took 2-3 days to arrive) I was back in my vehicle and amazed at how quiet it was running again. Great guy, informative and trustworthy. If you're looking for a place to take your vehicle, go to Cunningham's!

Called to make an appointment to get my blazer worked on I needed lower control arms, brakes and sway bar links the owner Austin got me in the next day and had it done by the end of the day very satisfied with the work he definitely goes the extra mile he greased all my fittings made sure everything looked ok. I m am very satisfied with how my truck came out I would highly recommend Cunningham s automotive. Definitely going back to have him work on all 3 of my cars. Austin is highly knowledgeable, and is good at explaining the intricacies of what he's done. Not the cheapest place you could go, but uses very high quality parts and things that get fixed, stay fixed

I found my new mechanic. He is very professional and honestly tells you what's wrong with your car. When we picked up our truck he showed us what was wrong and what he did. . I was very impressed and I will be taking my truck to him from now on. He offers great service and doesn't price gauge. Now I have a hard time trusting mechanics. I've had bad experiences in the past. I needed my brakes done and didn't have the time to do it myself. That's when I found Cunningham's Automotive. He walked me through each step he was going to take, each part, how long it would it take, etc. I'm more than satisfied with the work he has done on my car. My Subaru Crosstrek suffered puncture on driver-side rear tire while we were on I95 coming north from Virginia to New Jersey. I put Limp-In spare and headed north, then used Starlink to find a repair shop that was open. They directed me to Cunningham Automotive, Perryville, MD, and when I called, it was 10 minutes before closing time. The stayed open for us, and when we arrived pulled punctured tire and made a permanent patch.Shop then rebalanced and remounted tire. Entire operation took about 45 minutes and we were on our way with a repaired and safe time. Allowed us to travel at full speed limit, something we could not do with the spare. They took credit card.The attitude and quality of the work was both unusual today and exceptional. Clearly it went way beyond what most people would do today. I highly recommend this business and its proprietor, Austin. He was meticulous in his service and repair.I also highly recommend Starlink, which found the location for us in less than 2 minutes.Art GaschServices: Tires, General repairs & maintenance

I needed a good honest mechanic in my area and could not find one until i saw Cunninghams's Automotives reviews. i went to him and had him check my engine and i had to get a new catalytic converter he was very honest and professional and advise me of the price before working on it and guaranteed me that it would pass inspection, he even took my car through inspection for me and it passed. i have NEVER HAD any mechanic do that for me not even a mechanic that was willing to go above and beyond after talking to him several time about my car. he is AWESOME!!!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Cunningham's is a great shop very professional and also personal Austin is a genuinely good guy and will treat your vehicle like his own and won't overcharge you like other shops also he's one of the only mechanics that knows how to work on belt drive motorcycles that I trust I will definitely be a returning customer!!
