After having a HUGE debacle at Valvoline Speedy Oil Change I ended up having to find a mechanic for them to fix what they broke. I was told about Baxter's (on Mountain Road, Pasadena, MD) & I'm so happy to have found them. They got me right in and I've since brought my other vehicle to them for other things. Scott is wonderful, kind & very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Baxter's

Perfect in every way! Lightning fast turnaround too! Had 5 tires mounted and balanced. Alignment and had it back just a couple hours later! Super friendly staff. From check in to pickup. Guys are great. Definitely be back!

Got an oil change & tire rotation at Baxter. A few weeks later, I got a nail in my tire and returned to Baxter to get it patched. They couldn't get the tire off without stripping the stud that they overtorqued when putting the tire on just a few weeks before. Then they told me they would fix the stud as a FAVOR to me this one time....It was their own fault to begin with for hammering all the lugs on with an impact wrench.Now it came time to change oil and rotate my tires again, which we did ourselves at home this time. Another stud got stripped off the same tire because they had overtorqued it again after patching my tire!On top of that, the oil filter was so over torqued that my first oil filter strap wrench broke trying to remove it. So I got a new oil filter cap wrench for a better fit. It still wouldn't budge until I packed some extra rubber inside! Fortunately I have an oil drain valve so they didn't have to touch my oil drain plug.Don't get your oil or tires changed here or you'll never be able to take it apart again without stripping something. Baxter needs to torque to spec and not cross thread bolts when hammering away with their impact wrenches.

Honest service. Went for tires for my older work van and also asked them to check brakes and replace just in case. They did what they were supposed to do and didn t sell me brakes because I didn t need new brakes yet. They gave honest advice for other probable services needed in the near future.

I purchased my tires from here and I get free lifetime rotations, which I take advantage of when I get my oil changed. They recommend issues they see, but they do not force anything on me. They have my trust and so I will be coming here for years to come.

Whistleblower time. I was an employee here for about 4 months. Hated it since day one. Not just because of their terrible reputation in our community but because I got to witness firsthand the lack of organization, upkeep, and most of all the lack of safety for their customers and employees. According to them, if you re qualified to change oil and change tires, you are also qualified (without any training) to do repairs that can cause catastrophic failures to a customer s vehicle. This is all to save money, instead of paying a trained master technician. Beware of Baxter tire and auto. You do not want a lube tech making serious repairs to your vehicle. Baxter tire and auto and more specifically the guy at the front desk that is always hung over, Jeff, do not care about the customer or employees, the only thing Baxter tire cares about is how much money they can get out of your pockets and how many corners can they cut to maximize a profit. Not only do they take advantage of employees and the trust of their customers. I witnessed a number of shady practices just to cut corners and reduce time spent on repairs that the customer is paying for and expecting to receive. There is also no upkeep on any shop equipment, lifts are broken, floors flood, roof has several major leaks. Lack of air hoses, organization and a plethora of trash makes walking the shop a trip hazard, lifts have no locking mechanism to prevent an employee from being crushed. Absolutely zero time and money gets put back into the shop or equipment to keep it a safe and productive environment. As a member of the community I m sure I don t have to explain any further on why Baxter tire and auto should not even be last on your list of repair shops. Just ask your neighbors, their reputation speaks for itself.

These guys have always taken good care of me and they've earned my trust. I've bought my last 2 sets of tires from them and when you consider the free tire rotation, their prices are a fantastic bargain!

Always great customer service. Prices are reasonable, especially compared to dealerahips. Work is great quality, but it can be slow at times. I recommend Baxter's to anyone who asks about a good place to take their car for service.

So I'm not much of a complainer but, I am when I pay top dollar and get a cut rate service. I bought a new set of tires from Baxter Tire in Pasadena for my 2013 Passat and is the first set of new since I bought it brand new. Immediately the front left tire was leaking and took it back to be fixed. Leaked again and took it back again they said it should be fixed. Leaked again, took it back to get an oil change and tire rotation. Of course I asked if they fix the tire again. I got it back, no tire rotation and the front in wobbled like I hit an IED and they said I was crazy no leak. My wife kept driving it and adding air because who has the time to keep taking their car to a bunch of crack heads to finally do a job correctly. So I called the manager this morning and explained my frustrations and the issues. He said bring it in and he will take care of it. I get the car back this afternoon and they just rotatesd the front tire with the back tire and squirted silicone on the bead instead of swapping out the defective tire. Get this smoke he tried to blow up my skirt "tires are rotated and if it keeps leaking you will need to change the rim due to corrosion". Guess what Chief, your the first person to touch my perfect rims and the last I checked a tire rotation includes moving both front tires to the back. Look at the pictures all the break dust on my rims is on the right side and none on the front. Avoid this place like the plague.....They will never touch my car again and it's a shame because it's the second set of tires I have bought from them including oil changes and vehicle inspections. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me. I would never treat one of my customers like this and this shop is forever on the naughty list.

Had to get a tire replaced. The guys behind the desk were polite and friendly. The appointment was easy to schedule. I was in and out in a reasonable time. Tire price, mount, and balance was reasonable. No complaintsIn the last two months, I have had to replace 2 tires due to road debris. Baxter to the rescue. Scott and the other tech whose name evades me(apologies good sir) rocked getting me taken care of.Make me feel like a family friend when I go in there. I do most of my vehicle upkeep, but for jobs I don't want to do or that are beyond my expertise, Baxter will get my business. KUDOSCan't believe I haven't posted in a year. Well again the folks at Baxter Tire and Auto impressed me. Four tire install, alignment, and install brake pads front and rear. Job done on time, prices very reasonable, truck drives like a dream. Do yourself a favor and support a local honest business like Baxter.

Today, I came out to my car and had a flat. I called Baxter's, they were able to purchase and get my tire same day. Between me dropping it off and getting the call that my car was ready, it took them just over 3 hours.The service and the team were fantastic and highly professional. Kudos to Scott who worked with me to get the exact tire and everything I needed.Highly recommend. Would definitely use again.

I've worked with Baxter Tire & Auto for a few years on my 2011 BMW M3. They've done my required track-day inspections, tire changes, and alignments for about 3 years now. Each time they've been very thorough and honest about what they're seeing. I've trusted them with all my cars, including my wife's Subaru Crosstrek. I'm a car guy and have good knowledge in the space and I've sat in the lobby listening to Jeff and Scott talk to customers and each time I can tell they've been very honest and informative to customers who don't really know anything about cars. I recently sent a friend and her Nissan Sentra to Baxter. She worked with Jeff and he gave her great info on what the issues were, what was a priority and what could wait. Their prices are very reasonable, not inflated, and not including things you don't need. 100% recommend them; you won't be disappointed.

Excellent customer service, I had a small tire leak, went by during lunch hour hoping to get it checked out. Left for a quick bite to eat, came back and my car was all fixed! High recommend

I came here to support local businesses, but boy are they expensive. I could have bought the General Altimax RT45 tires online for $107.61 each, but they charged me $133.00 each.The thing that annoys me is that I had asked for the full price quote the other day when I was shopping around, and they said to me $664 out the door. Then I get my invoice for $705.63, and when I questioned, they said because of tax. Considering I could have had them installed at the Severn Walmart for $524.27 quoted for actually "out the door", I'm not sure an extra $181.36 was worth it. I'm all for supporting local businesses and staying away from Walmart, but 35% extra versus its competitors is just too much.Next time when I need Tires, I'll go to USA Tires right up the street. They charge reasonable prices for new tires. And they actually wipe off the excess tire lubricant from mounting and balancing too. They'll even shine the tires for you unlike Baxter Tire & Auto.

I ve brought my vehicles to Baxter before and been very happy in the past. I m not always the most loyal when it comes to a quick oil change or maintenance, but that s going to change.I took my Durango into (somewhere else) who apparently left out a valve that simply made my A/C not work! A $25 part and more for labour/diagnostic, and I was back out on the road. The guys at the desk and back in the bay are super nice and helpful. I am happy with my service and my car is back on the road! Don t expect good quality from quickie and cheap chain shops, get it done right the first time by Baxter.

Great price, great customer service, great work. Did exactly what they said they would do and that is hard to come by these days. Had a small issue and they made it right with no hassle at all. They worked to accommodate me and my schedule through the whole process. A++

Had new tires put on my van. Price was exactly what they quoted. They did an alignment also and everything seems great so far. Way better to deal with then firestone or ntb. If I ever need mechanic work I'd definitely use them

I took my old car here years ago when I was in an accident and the service was great and they were super friendly to my Pitbull Frankie (I was won over by then). My husband took his old Impala there and again service was great. Because we continued to have great experience his parents started taking their vehicle and now our whole family goes anytime we have a vehicle related issue. Fast forward to last week, (12/8/2020) my Fiat 500 went into limp mode on MD-10 and I managed to get it to Baxter s for a night drop off. They checked it out the very next day. They found there was build up in my electronics throttle control, cleaned it up and she was ready for pick up the following day. Thank you so much for always taking care of our family!

Bought 4 new tires off tire rack and brought them in to Baxter, got all four tires mounted, balanced, a new tpms sensor and an oil change for just over $300. Got it back same day, car rides great. The only thing better than their service is their price! Thanks Baxter, you ve gained a new customer for life

ABSOLUTE JOKE! Took truck in Monday for alignment as steering was slightly off center, pick up Monday after closing immediately notice nothing different with steering. Call Tuesday and notify them and have to set up to take in Saturday. Drop off Saturday get a call around 2 saying they have aligned it 5 times and can t get wheel straight, they are scratching their heads. They don t know whatTo tell me. Pick vehicle up and steering is 10x worse. Get home and compare the 2 prints outs, initial print out only had 2 items in red upon arrival. Upon arrival on Saturday every option was in the red out of spec. Whoever worked on my truck clearly shouldn t be a mechanic.

More than happy with this business!I called to have an alignment on my vehicle. He told me that they were booked out for 4 days. I told him that would be fine, and would schedule for then. While about to schedule, he told me that if I wait he can squeeze me in. This was very convenient for me and my schedule. I was only there for 45 minutes. Could not have been easier! I love local in the community, and will not go anywhere else for my car needs.

Ive been here several times now and they treat me right every time. From inspections to tires to mechanical work Ive been very happy. I do most of my car repairs myself but sometimes a mechanic is what it takes and Baxter on mountain rd always takes care of me. Thanks to Jeff and everyone at the shop. Chris.

I just moved to the area and I was looking for a place to service my vehicle, someone pointed out Baxfter and I was lost for words to describe my experience. Excellent Customer service, timely, attentive, experienced, knowledgeable and above all there was no charge for my service. I couldn't believe when they said "no charge " it was for real. Baxter really impressed me beyond my widest expectations, they are the best in the industry.
