I needed a quick fix to an unexpected flat tire (as they all are) and these guys took care of it quick and fast. Ian was very professional and assured me that they could get the job done.I had a great time chatting with the staff while they took care of my vehicle. I recently have an appointment for Maryland state inspection for a vehicle I bought from Virginia. They promptly gave me updates and did not give me any delays. Issues with the inspection are also resolved. People are very welcoming and courteous. I will be back again for any vehicle issues I have. Thank you.

Don't know if anyone will read all of this, but...I took 3 cars to them for state inspections. Here s what happened:Car #1 failed. I fixed the suspension issues on my own and took it for a reinspection (which they charge $65 for). It passed the reinspection, but after a couple days of noticing a sway, I saw that I had overlooked tightening my ball joint nuts. What did I pay a reinspection fee for? They were supposed to be looking specifically for the things it failed on.Car #2 failed: I fixed most of the issues on my own. When I took it back, they tried to say I didn t replace a motor mount that failed. I have the receipt and a video to prove I did. Maybe that s because the failed one actually looked fine when I removed it, so maybe they couldn t tell the difference. They also found another failure on a CV axle that they missed the first time. When I told them that they were only supposed to reinspect the original failed items, they said they could wipe off the boot and overlook it. I m taking this one to another place for a new inspection, which costs less than their reinspection.Car #3 failed. I went to pick it up, and the battery was dead. They tried to jump start it, but it wouldn t charge. They tried to tell me it was the failed alternator, but when I replaced the battery, it ran and charged just fine. They had let it discharge so much that it killed the battery. Granted, the vehicle had an electrical leak, but I had asked them to make sure to use my battery cutoff switch, which they didn t.Coming into this, I knew my cars were old and would probably need repairs, but I didn t expect this kind of incompetence and price gouging. Car #3 was a shuttle bus, which they charged $350 to inspect. Granted, I should have called around to find that many garages will do the same inspection for almost 1/3 of that (with no reinspection fee), but as a Pennsylvania transplant, I was stupidly under the impression that inspection fees were standard from shop to shop as they are in PA. Ultimately, I paid about $1,000 for an education in how NOT to get my vehicles inspected in MD. I ll keep looking for an honest, competent mechanic.

Ian and staff checked vehicle for source of apparent coolant leak and did pressure check on coolant system; took considerable time but in finding no source of leak, did not even charge us for the time (man hours) needed to perform those tasks; thanks much!!! :)

I spoke to Ian, Tim's Auto service writer, to bring my 2016 Chevy Silverado in. I was having problems with it starting, but thankfully, Ian informed me it was just the battery. As busy as they were, they were able to get my up and running again the next day. Tim was very helpful, friendly and courteous. Not only did they quickly get me a new battery and on the road the next day, I was also really impressed with how they took care of my truck all around. When I went to get in my truck, they had plastic steering wheel cover, a plastic seat cover and a floor mat over top of mine. That said a lot to me right there. I don't think many auto repair shops do that. To most people, that wouldn't matter, but to me that shows care and respect to the vehicle their working on. Again thank you Ian, and Tim's Auto for your professionalism. I'll be sure to call on you again if I need service on my truck.Service: Battery

I had a slow leak in one of my tires, so pulled up to their place of business and never had I been there they were able to service my vehicle. It was a Friday around 4:30 PM. We come to find out there were 2 nails in the tire. They were able to patch the tire and let me on with my weekend. They are very ice and personable, and professional. I went to Tim s automotive for a second time as their service is beyond expectations. They provide a multi- point inspection without request or charge to customer. They take photos of your vehicle while in service and follow up with you immediately to talk through them. They are not pushy, misleading but an honest company. I mvery please and will continue to get my car service there.

My step father had been using Tim s for years. They are honest trustworthy and great all the way around. It is so hard to find a honest mechanic now a days but Tim s Automotive is probably one of the last good ones around.

I ve been going to Tim s on Old Hartford Rd for a few years now and I have to say it s the best experience I ve had when it s comes to maintenance and repair. They have always been knowledgeable about my car and fair in their pricing. Can t say that about other places I ve been.The staff has always been pleasant and I ve actually enjoyed sitting there during an oil change talking with the office staff and some of the tow truck drivers. The technician has always taken the time to explain to me what he s going to do and tell me what s necessary and what s optional. Can t recommend this place enough.
