I am happy to have found this business. The mechanics here are friendly and knowledgeable. Very profesional shop. It may not be cheap but it will get fixed.

Kevin and his shop do good work at reasonable prices. With so many folks trying to screw you, it is good to have a mechanic you can trust.

Contacted the shop about my clutch issue. Was quoted a price and agreed to service. I delivered the vehicle, had a complete clutch replacement done and was able to pick the truck up within 24 hours of contacting the shop.Great, friendly service.

Amazing experience! My truck was making a funny noise so I brought it in without an appointment and the problem was diagnosed right away. They were able to have it fixed and returned to me the same day. Great communication and service all around. I m so excited to have a business like this in Hereford so close to my home. I highly recommend this shop! Welcome to the neighborhood!

Hands down the best experience we've ever had with an auto shop. My car broke down just down the street at Graul's Market and they had it moved and fixed within a matter of hours, and at a reasonable price. I would drive all the way up here from our home in Columbia to have service done here. My husband is a very picky person and he was thrilled with the service.

I've been a customer of Padonia Auto Service for the past 7 years. I have brought all 4 of my older vehicles for repairs and followed them here to the new place in Hertford County. Kevin and his team provide honest feedback and at a cost much, much lower than what the dealership would charge. Whenever I had to get bring in my car to dealer, they would quote me for a specific service, I always come here to get a second opinion, and the total cost for the required services is about 2/3 to 1/2 of what dealer would charge me.One of the best attribute to Padonia Auto Service is that they won't try to oversell and give you their honest feedback of costs vs. benefits. That's the honesty you always look for in a trusted mechanic and auto shop.Currently, I'm sitting here at the autoshop writing this review and going to bring my other 2 vehicles for maintenance.

Very relaxed, honest, and skilled mechanics. My fiance took her truck here for a second opinion on a 2 thousand dollar estimate, and turns out nothing was even wrong! Didn't even charge her for the time. They saved her the bill on that scam and we haven't taken our cars anywhere else since.

I have been a loyal customer for 20 years, first finding it based on a recommendation of a mechanic who told me how honest Padonia Auto is. And it's true. Kevin and his crew have replaced everything on my cars from water pumps to transmissions and I am always struck by how quick and affordable the prices are. Sometimes I think I present Kevin with a problem I think I know about a car--like once when the tow truck driver told me the engine was shot and Kevin just replaced the spark plugs and it worked great. Or when we thought we needed a new hybrid battery for our Prius and Kevin said no, it's just that the brake has gotten stuck in the on position. His solutions to fix the car are always cheaper than the problems I tell him I think I have. Padonia Auto Service is a jewel of the community. And every time I wait in the waiting room, loyal customers come in and I can tell they feel the same way.Services: Transmission, Carburetor cleaning, Electrical repair, Tires, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, A/C installation & repair, Air conditioning, Battery, Oil change

I live in Cockeysville and Kevin moved his shop 15 miles away from Cockeysville. I still go to him as I know I won t find a more honest repair shop. He will give you recommendation that is complete honest and works in your favor. Look for no other repair shop if you have any repair needs. You won t regret for a second when you do business with him.Service: Brakes

I purchased a car out of state and needed a MD State inspection fast. I call Padonia Auto and they were able to get me car in next day! My car was ready in an hour and they were very kind and inexpensive. I highly recommend!

We've brought two vehicles here several times for repairs and maintenance; we have been very pleased with the workmanship and fair prices. As others have said, we asked for them to find stuff that was wrong and they told us the cars are fine. They actually called me back when they said they would: amazing! The waiting area is pretty paultry but I just plan to drop the car off and leave. I don't mind the lackluster amenities when the work and prices are so great!

The team at Padonia Auto are awesome. They are the only shop I use for my vehicles. Bringing it in, I can always trust they will give me an honest appraisal, reasonable prices, and fast turn around. Most recently had to have my transmission fixed, and they were cheaper than expected and even when I told them I thought the transmission would need to be replaced and was expectingto pay more, they told me that what actually needed to be fixed was much less, and had me back on the road in 2 days.Cant recommend them enough (they are my only auto recommendation fyi)

Kevin and his crew at Padonia have done a great job with all of our vehicles for the past 12 years. They are honest and have saved us a ton of money over work done at dealerships. Great business ethic and that's why they have so many loyal customers!

I'm new in Maryland and by far this is the best auto service I tried. Accurate time frame and reasonable prices, usually lower than other auto services in the area. Another thing I liked about this place was their honesty. They only fix and change what's need to be done. Unlike other places, they change parts that still have a month or couple months of its life.

I ve been on the hunt for a good local auto mechanic for a long time. In the past, I ve had almost nothing but bad experiences with dealership service departments and local auto mechanics. Because I m an online review junkie, I did a local search on Yelp for shops in the area. Not surprisingly, almost all of them were 3 out of 5 stars or less, and most had negative reviews.Padonia Auto, on the other hand, had an average of 4 and a half stars, all with positive reviews. I needed a simple oil change, so I decided to check them out. I couldn t have been more pleased with the results. The front desk staff was very knowledgeable and competent. I basically asked the mechanics to find something wrong with my truck or to recommend necessary services. Upon inspection, the honest mechanics informed me that no service was needed other than the oil change. My search is finally over. Padonia Auto is a very professional shop; I highly recommend them to all my friends and family.

This was my first time taking my car to the Padonia Auto Service, after having sworn by taking it to the dealer for any repairs. I was beside myself when my car was completing finished service in 45 minutes! I'm used to waiting 3-4 hours at the dealer. And the best is they don't charge an arm and a leg for labor. They really care about making your car right and being reasonable about the cost of maintenance. I think I've found my new mechanic!

Finding a good mechanic is like finding a good DR. You almost want to keep it a secret. But Kevin & all the guys have been so good to us over the years that it's hard not to sing there praises. Great work at good prices. Always feel confident coming to them for honest estimates & work done well and on time!

Had to get a MD safety inspection. They found 3 issues and failed me. Two of them I knew about, brakes and tires. Left wheel bearing had to be replaced as well. Price on bearing was fine, thought price on brakes was high. But, good service, easy and no hassle.

My experiences here have been entirely positive. I live a good 30 minutes south of their shop, but since they came as a recommended service facility for Volkswagen cars, we took our newly acquired beetle to get it inspected and checked out. After quick, down to earth customer service and a reasonable price, I decided to bring my Chevy back, later on, when it was leaking gas. They diagnosed the problem and replaced the fuel pump same day while I waited, gave me a comparable price (with the same great customer service). I told them that I found out the fuel pump for my car was recalled, they pointed me in the right direction to get a reimbursement from Chevy, which came through!Parts and labor costs seem to me on par with some other garages in the area (if not a little bit cheaper). Nothing is as cheap as doing it yourself, but they have earned my trust, and I will certainly consider their consistent service worthy of the drive.

Had my auto safety inspection done there. Didn't pass the first time because the tints were too dark but the re-inspection afterwards was smooth. Can tell that they are doing honest business here not try to scam people. It is pretty high bar to live up to because people often have some assumptions about auto repair place. Kudo to the front desk Jake and the mechanic Kevin.

I'm here for a safety inspection. I've heard good things and they've been very accommodating in terms of scheduling. The people who work here are not wearing masks including the gentleman sitting behind the counter in the small customer waiting area. I would not recommend waiting for your car if you're concerned about covid.

I am going to have to give Ryan the mechanic and Padonia Auto Service a bad review. It's the 2nd time I've used him and I was very disappointed in their work and charges.I took my 2004 Isuzu Rodeo in for a Maryland Safety Inspection, they informed me the front and rear stabilizer bushings were bad and I needed to replace them. I think they wanted to charge me for it but they couldn't find the parts locally, so they just left me hanging.I ordered the parts online and had them overnight-ed to me. I am a mechanical engineer and work on machinery all the time and know about worn parts. My father was a mechanic. Once the bushings arrived, I replaced them with the new bushings. My father and I both looked at the old bushings and they looked fine. We both felt it was a bit dishonest.Padonia Auto Service originally informed me a re-inspect is free. I took the car back to re-inspect it but they charged me another $27.60 for the re-inspect. I said, "you said the re-inspect is free". They responded, "it's only free if it does not have to go up on the lift" which is a little misleading as they never mentioned this. I thought this was a double slap in the face, since I already took time and money to replace something that wasn't broken to begin with, so it could pass inspection.I informed the office clerk, the used bushings looked fine. The person then responded, "there was movement in the sway bars", with a look of arrogance and irritation. I realized arguing or debating with this guy wasn't going to get anywhere as that is all he kept saying. Even new bushings will show movement as they are made of rubber and are meant to allow for movement. The bushings are made of rubber for a purpose and that is to allow for movement, otherwise they would be made of metal. So here is the summary. They failed my car for bushings that were good. They couldn't find replacement bushings locally to fix it and left me high and dry. I feel they did this to get additional work, which they couldn't get since they couldn't get the part. I had to order the parts and have it overnight-ed and replaced it myself. I took it back for re-inspection and they charged me again for a re-inspect fee which they originally told me there was none. The reason I got the inspection is because I was selling the car. The guy who purchased the Rodeo also is a mechanic, and I kept the bushing for him to look at. He just nodded his head, and he too felt these bushings are fine. 2 experienced mechanics and 1 mechanical engineer, who designs mechanical parts all agree, the bushings were obviously fine.I recommend taking your car to a dedicated inspection station. I think there is way too much self-interest and temptation for shops, that do inspections and auto repair together, to ding you for borderline items or outright lie to have more work done.If the inspection fee is cheap, they charged only $59.95, it is to get you in the door and charge you for other things they find wrong with the vehicle. Lesson learned. My total cost for my Maryland inspection was :$59.95+$73.46(parts and shipping)+$27.60 (Re-inspection)=$161.01. Plus time and gas to order and install parts and take it back for re-inspection. If you had to have a mechanic install then it probably would have set you back another couple hundred.Pay a little more to someone who does only inspections and chances are much better you will pass without any issues as they have no other self-interests to find something wrong.

This is my favorite place to get my 4.1 AMC Gremlin fixed up, the auto shop next door has lower prices and lower quality. Their workers are the most epic people I have ever met. They never scratched my baby ever! Amazing!

Came here to get my brakes done and they didn't tighten the lug nuts on my wheels down enough. A wheel came off while I was driving and now I have serious damage to my vehicle. Then when I called them the owner said it's not his problem. Beware!Service: General repairs & maintenanceService: General repairs & maintenance
