I had a terrible experience with Koons Kia. Kent did well trying to be compassionate but the service department dropped the ball. I dropped my car off on a Thursday & when I went to pick it up the following Wednesday there was a car part in my trunk. The part was laid on an oil stained rag laid directly across my child s car seat. When I returned to the dealer to point out the issue the service I was offered a car detail for my inconvenience. A car detail does not suffice. Kent then came to speak with me & apologize personally for the mistake. He was suppose to call me with a follow up the next day& did not. I had to buy a cover to place over the car seat because washing a car seat is not as simple as detailing a car. When I told the service manager that his solution had no value to me he said sorry and returned to his station. I only have maintenance done in my vehicle at Kia. This is the first dealer I have experience that didn t provide me with a courtesy car wash after having my vehicle for a week. I am concerned that a piece was not put back on my car and nobody noticing before my car was returned to me. I am disappointed that such a filthy rag was laid across my child s car seat to begin with. I am also heavily annoyed that I brought my car in with one issue and after driving it for less than 24hours it has stalled out on me. I wish that I just kept my vehicle and $1300 to myself. I m now in a worse situation than I was in before I visited.

I will never return to this location. I was there for 3-4 hours for a scheduled oil change. My car sat on the lift for 2-3 with no work being done. No one came to give me an update. Even after I told them how upset I was with the wait time for an oil change no one said let me get a manager or let me give you a discount then to top it off my oil life wasn't even reset in my vehicle. I will be taking to corporate.

My experience at Koons Kia was great!E, listened to my vehicle issues and concerns. He provided quality feedback and was attentive. I was able to work from the service center which was extremely helpful.And, I believe the prices that he provided were reasonable.Another service center wanted to charge me 3 times as much for the same service.Thanks Koons Kia I ll definitely bring my vehicle back for additional repairsz

I got my car serviced it was freezing in the building. They broke my hubcap and when I took it back the manager stated he would order it hubcap . No one called yet it s been at least a month. I should not have to call them to remind them. The guy who worked on my car never said he was sorry that he broke it. I will not take my car back for service there anymore.

I used to prefer this place to Nationwide Kia because Koons would include a complementary car wash and would actually remember to reset the service light. Just took my car in for service but they did neither.If I can't trust them to do the things I can actually see, how can I trust that they're doing a good job under the hood?

Had to take car in for two recalls this past weekend. KOONS KIA in Owings Mills. I was very impressed with the treatment I was given by the young man. The service attendant was professional and knowledgeable of what needed to be done I was in and out of there in less than two hours. I was offered free coffee, tea, bottled spring and water. Plus the ambience in the customer service area was inviting, comfortable, and hospitable. I highly recommend buying your next vehicle from these guys.

Quick appointment... good customer service. The team seemed knowledgeable. It just took eleven days to get my car back. I know it needed a part but I had to do a bit of following up on my own to get the status on the job. I would consider visiting again.

The service department at this dealership is extremely slow and unprofessional. We never spend less than 2 hours for a simple oil change. My 2021 Sorento has had multiple engine issues and they can t seem to determine why. Took my car on Friday for service, and the next day the check engine light is back on. So much time wasted, not to mention my car has less than 30,000 miles.

Minh was amazing! He reached out to me immediately and has been in contact throughout th entire car buying process, even calling me days later to check in. He said as very down to earth and I didn't feel pressured once! If I need a car again, I hope to have a salesman as wonderful as Minh!

My vehicle had a flat tire. Come to find out it was the fault of a nail lying somewhere seeking to attached itself to someone tire. Me. Thank God I was on my home and the sound said something is up. Two gentlemen were more upset than me. Okay, I am across from Kia on Fridays lot. Walk up there. The customer service lady talked me every step of the way. At first outside looming at the nail seemed alright this won't be long. I needed a new tire. The person felt bad more than I did in trying to help. I appreciate that. The establishment was clean, professional and it was an good experience. Iam Thankful.

Had car all day10-4:30 but still didn t finish until well after the service department was closed, can t wash your car for you anymore, payment machine was broken so I was sent a link and asked to pay online before getting my car back, always takes forever to process paperwork as if they are inputting your whole life history, and so on and so on To add insult to injury, the rep called me on the phone to let me know that my car was done when I was literally standing right in his face!! Simply a big fat Boooo for me!

I went in for my 30,000 mile oil and filter change and they told me I needed two new tires and they had to fix an engine leak that would be covered by my warranty. Despite promises to the contrary, my car wasn t ready for a month!! When I complained about this and asked them to adjust my bill to reflect this horrible inconvenience they only took $100 off my $850 bill. I am not happy and am considering taking my business elsewhere.

Three hours for an oil change is extreme. Service advisor gave me a hard time about using my warranty to replace a key that was not available when I purchased vehicle. I had already discussed replacing key with sales manager when I purchased vehicle.Thanks

I appreciate all the help I received from Service manage Jay. I waited 4 months for a back ordered engine and he listened to everything that I had struggled with in this time frame to help provide me with some relief. He was able to ensure that the installation was a quick and swift process despite everything else that was out of his control.

Much better experience, this is my 2nd year with this Kia dealership. Management has improved and whole process with setting up appt to day of appointment has gotten better.They were fast and efficient is getting regular maintenance completed.

They did a excellent job within two hours for my car with all the recalls I had on it and I ll be back to get more done.The staff was professional and explained everything simply and easy which should always be done when going into a dealership for recall notices so I highly recommend this place if you need services done!

The customer service was good. The people were friendly. But I had an appointment. For 1:00pm I came in at 12:30pm. For a tire replacement. I was told it would be about an hour. I didn t leave until 3:20pm. I waited 3 hours. For something that should have taken 30 minutes.Service: TiresService: Tires

I put an inquiry online for the 2023 Kia K5 and was immediately contacted by Kenny at Koons Kia Owings Mills. Kenny set up the initial meeting with him on the following Saturday which was 1/28. My husband and I meet with Kenny and was pleasantly surprised at his pose and attentiveness. Kenny made sure my K5 pre-order was everything I wanted before I left that day. Kenny informed me the projected date for my car was 2/14. When he got word the car was arriving early I was the first person he contacted on Sunday 2/5. Monday 2/6 Kenny called and said the car would be inspected and ready 2/7! My husband and I arrived on 2/7 to be greeted by Kenny with my new 2023 Kia K5! Thank you Kenny for walking with us through this process and the Big Red Bow!!!I highly recommend Kenny and the entire team at Koons Kia Owings Mills.

I am so disappointed. I brought my Hyundai for service here because I was told by a former employee that it was an excellent shop - well run, friendly and efficient. 1 for 3: they were friendly. But friendly doesn t fix my car or get it back to me in a reasonable amount of time.I originally booked the appointment online for a Saturday when I knew I could easily pick it back up. I showed up, a few minutes early, and there was no record of the appointment. I figured I probably made an error booking. Wasn t mad. No big deal. Set an appointment for a Tuesday. Much harder logistically but I have to get it in.Dropped off the car at 7:30 for 8:30a appointment without issue. Oil change and look at the nail in the tire. They said they would call me. Got a helpful text from the service advisor saying I could text anytime for updates. Perfect! I thanked the service advisor in a return text, letting her know that I can t answer the phone while I m in appointments but I can do quick texts in between so this is great. I also asked if they do any kind of pick up, explaining that while I live less than a mile away, I have two knees with meniscal tears. Walking is not my best option and hubby is not available.No response.Service Advisor CALLS at 1:00 and of course I can t answer, as explained. I texted back reminding her that I can t talk, asked if she could text the info. Texted her again 15 minutes later to let her know I would be free again at 3.She finally texted back at 2:30. Let me know they have a shuttle who s last pick up is 4:30. Quoted a replacement tire at $360.85 (wwaaayyy more than the tires for this car cost,) and also said the mechanic recommends a brake fluid flush and cabin filter replacement, both at normal prices so I said go ahead with the brake fluid and cabin filter. I also let her know that I start back with clients at 5 so the shuttle would cut it close. I would plan to do the walk if the car was ready by 4. Otherwise I couldn t get there before they close.She responded at 2:36, Getting it moving now! I asked at 3 how much the oil change was because she hadn t mentioned it. (I low key thought she might have forgotten that was the main reason I was there.) She responded at 3:17.My break is 3-5 and I have a lot that needs to be done in that time. I m doing it all thinking any minute I need to start walking. 4:00 comes and goes. By 4:15 I realize it s just not happening. I text that I will have to get it in the morning. She responds a half hour later with an apology.So I start off walking this morning. Gratefully a kind neighbor saved my knees and gave me a ride.When I get there the Service Advisor is having some sort of problem with the computer, can t find my account and who knows what. After standing on my torn knees for about 10 minutes I finally see there is a chair around the corner.When she finally calls me up she nonchalantly says we had a (no clue what she mumbled) mix up and we didn t get to the brake flush or cabin filter so it s just the oil change today. They found time to wash the car, which I didn t ask for, but couldn t find the time to flush the brakes or change the cabin filter. The oil change itself took EIGHT hours. Um ???Excuse me?? I didn t say anything because anything I would have said would likely be quite inappropriate. What I was thinking was YOU HAD MY CAR FOR MORE THAN 24 HOURS AND ALL YOU DID WAS A $@ ��%#!! OIL CHANGE?!? You out me through all of this #%^! And only managed to do an OIL CHANGE?!?!?! You have GOT to be kidding me.Pretty sure she picked up in the vibe because she made zero eye contact and said NOTHING about offering to reschedule for the other services.They were kind enough to leave a partially used, topless can of glass cleaner in my car. Maybe that s my consolation prize?They clearly do not want my business. Crystal Koons, honey? You win. You won t ever get my business of any kind at any of your shops. I heard that you are a really good person. You might wanna retrain your people.Service: Oil change

I had a leak in my tire that couldn t be patched and required a replacement. The Koons Owings Mills team did a wonderful job keeping me updated on both the warranty claim and the status of the repair. Within 48 hours everything was complete. The communication, hospitality, and overall experience was wonderful. This was my first service experience since buying my new Kia at Koons in April and it further confirmed that the entire staff is top notch. From sales to service, they are the best!Service: Tires

Service team members were extremely helpful and worked with me. I did get the multipoint inspection, and we addressed the braking system, However, I didn't get any notes regarding my orginal purpose for coming into the shop. If I had made it into the shop when the service team was in(and not in the last hour of shop operation), I may have been able to get the feedback.
