I visited due to a safety recall. Unlike other companies, the staff were very friendly and the processing speed was very fast. They also took care of some minor recalls I had missed, which was convenient in many ways. I ended up spending money because they suggested replacing the brake rotors during the inspection, but after some research, it seemed like a fair suggestion based on the mileage.

BUY BEWARE!Do not buy from this dealer. They are crooks and will rip you off. I should have realized immediately they would do anything to save a buck when they didn t even bother to fill up the gas on my newly purchased vehicle, leaving me to drive home on a quarter tank of gas or from the paltry amount they offered for my trade in. Then there was the fact that they made me pay extra for paint protection product because it s applied to all their vehicles. I did not request this and should not have to pay extra for an option that is made mandatory. Meanwhile, within weeks of purchasing the vehicle the paint began chipping horribly and there was rust hiding beneath the deception of their shoddy cover up job. I wouldn t be surprised if the paint protection they forced me to pay extra for was actually a pathetic attempt to hide the rust and peeling paint. Furthermore, within days of purchasing the vehicle the windshield molding starting flying up and rattling around. It didn t seem to fit correctly and my friend basically had to hammer it into places with his fist to stop it from constantly flapping around. None of this is the reason for my review. What really and truly revealed how crooked this dealership is was when I took my vehicle in due to a flat tire this past November. The company explained to me that all 4 of the tires were dry rotted and over 10 years old. They taught me that your tires identification number is stamped on the outer sidewall of each tire is its birth date in a straightforward week/year format. Imagine my surprise in learning this because my vehicle is a 2015. The tires that were on my vehicle were older than the vehicle itself. I believe the dealer deliberately removed the tires on the vehicle to put old, worn tires in their places. Not only is this underhanded and skeezy, but it s dangerous. The car only had 42K miles on it and I purchased it with safety in mind. I wanted an all wheel drive vehicle to safety drive my children around. Koons Kia of Owings Mills knowing put us at risk because of their greed. Don t be fooled or deceived by them. They won t hesitate to rip you off or scam you. Their bottom line is to make a buck by any means necessary, even at the cost of your safety.

My experience with the sales associate Tomas Wiedel was amazing. We ve been in talks for a 2024 KIA for about 4 weeks and he constantly checked in on me. I let him know my situation and he made it happen once I was ready to come in to visit. His communication is great and I didn t feel like I was being hassled to get a car like how other dealerships treat you. I appreciate Tomas so much and also Jon Lefko who assisted with the financing portion. Both men really took care of me and I m forever grateful. Thank you!!!!!

Today I had the pleasure meeting with General Manager Ron, Fiance Manager Joshua, and Account Mrs. LISA. LET ME TELL THESE ARE GREAT PEOPLE WITH EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. MY CAR WAS TOTAL . THEY HELP ME SEND ALL MY PAPERWORK INTO GAP TO PAY-OFF THE REMAINDER OF MY AUTO LOAN. THIS WAS THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE ANY DEALERSHIP HAS EVER PROVIDED ME. IF YOUR IN NEED OF A CAR OR SUV, ETC., THIS THE PLACE TO SPEND YOUR HARD EARN MONEY ON. IF I COULD I WOULD GIVE THEM 10 Gold Stars from the great customer service.

I had a terrible experience with Koons Kia.Kent did well trying to be compassionate but the service department dropped the ball. I dropped my car off on a Thursday & when I went to pick it up the following Wednesday there was a car part in my trunk. The part was laid on an oil stained rag laid directly across my child's car seat. When I returned to the dealer to point out the issue the service I was offered a car detail for my inconvenience. A car detail does not suffice. A complimentary wash should already be included in a service over $1k. I had to buy a cover to place over the car seat because washing a car seat is not as simple as detailing a car. When I told the service manager that his solution had no value to me he said sorry and returned to his station. Kent then came to speak with me & apologize personally for the mistake. He was suppose to call me with a follow up the next day& did not. I am concerned that a piece was not put back on my car and nobody noticing before my car was returned to me. I am disappointed that such a filthy rag was laid across my child's car seat to begin with. I am also heavily annoyed that I brought my car in with one issue and after driving it for less than 24hours it has stalled out on me. I wish that I just kept my vehicle and $1300 to myself. I'm now in a worse situation than I was in before I visited. My constantly just stops driving. This situation is not only disappointing but traumatizing at this point. I never know if I m going to make it home.I am back to edit my review to say that after the manager commented on this post 3 weeks ago I thought I would get some sort of closure/solutions. A few days after I got my car back it shut down on me completely causing me to have to add coolant. I added coolant and the car over heated causing the coolant cap to fly into the air. The manager that reached out to me seemed so sympathetic. He mentioned to me how he would investigate my issues and in the mean time get me a replacement cap for the coolant hose. It s been 3 weeks and not only have I had to go purchase my own cap but I haven t spoken to the manager in 2 weeks. He said that he would let me know when the part came in. I guess it s still in transit. I have had no update and no help. I wouldn t do business with this location ever again. I have had a Kia for almost 10 years and have never experienced this kind of service. 0/10 would not recommend. I would like for the manager to not respond to this message and act as if he cares. He responded to my review to look as if there would be help or a resolution. Please continue to ignore me because at this point it s just insulting.

My car has been sitting in their service area for a battery change since Oct 2023. . They gave a loaner car for the first month but they wanted me to return it asap. I have been renting car since last November. They have no response for how much time should I wait more. My reimbursement will be donewhen my car is fixed and returned. I am spending around $1k per month. Worst car service, worst dealer. No customer service at all.Update: talking with the manager Ron Howard didn t make any difference. He didn t offer any solution. Unprofessionalism at its finest

Thanks again, Ron! **Original Review**A tale of two experiences: The sales process versus the immediate aftermath.The salesperson, Chris, was awesome. He was willing and able to complete all of the negotiations via email prior to me coming down to the dealership. He was up front, friendly, and personable. The rest of the sales department was equally cordial and efficient.My biggest gripe is that a fault light turned on before I could get the car home: The tire pressure warning system light came on statting there was a failure and that it would not be able to display any tire pressure information. Unfortunately, the 30 day warranted does not cover the TPWS, so I am immediately forced to take this car into the shop.The odds of that system failing in the 50 miles I owned the car are minuscule when compared to the 41950 miles prior to my purchase. What s moderately distressing is that I have been able to reset the error code which will keep the light off for about 100 miles you can do with that what you will.)

Had an excellent experience at Koons Kia of Owings Mills! Our salesperson was Levi and he was very helpful throughout the process of test driving the vehicle as well as the buying process. The car itself is also in excellent condition after having some time with it. Will definitely consider this dealership again in the future when I, or anyone else in the family, is looking for another car.

Brandon & Christian were wonderful! I went in with an idea of what car I wanted & they were able to help me decide for sure. They both are extremely kind and patient, knowledgeable, and devoted to their work. It also was fairly busy and they did well with balancing clients, but ensuring that they were still attentive to everyone! I was able to leave with a car the same day. I definitely recommend Koons Kia in Owings Mills, as well as scheduling your appointment with Brandon & Christian - you won t regret it!

Koons Owings Mills is by far the best experience we ve had buying a car. Christian our sales representative was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. He ran around getting cars quickly for us to look at and make our decisions. Brandon the sales manager went above and beyond to make this experience great. Manager of the year right here. Then in finance Roberto was fast to seal the deal , very knowledgeable and got us on our way with 2 new vehicles. Thanks for treating us like family. I m sure we ll be back in the future.

I ve taken my 2014 Kia Soul to Koons Kia for service several times now, and there has been an issue nearly every time. The first time I dropped off my car for an oil change and brake services, I waited at the dealership for more than an hour after they told me my car was already done and ready for pickup. The attendant kept checking on it and telling me they were wrapping up . Came to find out the tech spilled something on/inside my car and was cleaning it up.Another time, I took my car for an oil consumption test, as it s been guzzling (burning, not leaking) oil since I bought it used at 27k miles. The attendant was unprofessional and arguing openly with his manager while waiting on me. Kia also told me the oil consumption was normal for the mileage.I took my car back in February this year after the oil warning light was intermittently blinking. I dropped it off Wednesday evening for a Thursday 8:00am appointment. The attendant called me Thursday morning to tell me it d be a 48 hr turnaround time. Then he said because it was Thursday, I might not get it back until Monday. When Monday came around, they still hadn t even looked at my car. They also never called to update me; I had to call them. I didn t get my car back until Wednesday, almost a week later, and all they had done was an oil change and told me to do another oil consumption test. By the way, I had another garage change my oil just a month prior and already had to add two quarts by the time I took it to Koons Kia.Now I ve taken my car back for the second part of the oil consumption test, and Koons Kia is once again telling me the oil consumption rate is normal. They recommended I keep a 5qt container of oil in my car to top it off as needed.Bottom line: I ve had a number of vehicles, used and new, and used many garages at this point. I ve never had a worse vehicle than this Kia nor a worse experience than at Koons Kia of Owings Mills. Will never buy Kia again.

I would give them 0 if it was possible. All I can say is, they are the biggest scam artists with elderly abuse, taking advantage of people with limited English. My 70+ yrs old mother had to pay 160 out of pocket for something that was never clearly explained to her. She was told she needs to sign to have her car reviewed and blindly signed to have her car checked for a recall warranty.However at the end they have charged her a diagnostic fee without proper explanation that it was not a recall issue. E the service agent orginally admitted that there were a communication issue and told ME over the phone to just pick up the car and forget about the fee. But again when my mom showed up in person as I live in a different state, Jay the service manager said she signed the document so she needs to pay. As an able person I too had hard time understanding why the vehicle wasn't under the recall or why no one has told her it is not under recall before charging her fees. When a service agent e put me on hold 5 times and clearly brushed me off on the phone to just to pick up the vehicle, I can only imagine how inpatient he would of been with my mother. Both knew that she was limited in English as they mentioned the necessity to use Google translate to explain things to her. When you receive a letter for a engine overheating and your car has a engine check light, it is normal to suspect that the issues may be related, where nonetheless they charge people without proper comprehension of both parties. I just hope no other family gets affected with such poor service and unconscious business manners. Please find somewhere as they will use every mean to rip you off.

It was the best car shopping experience we ever had. I ve been looking for a specific car in a specific color and model which was not available anywhere. I looked in few other dealerships and waited for few months. Then I found Koons and the process was easy, fast and convenient. What s more amazing is that I got a great deal within my budget. Alina and Jack were very professional, understanding, amiable, and tech savvy. While trying to locate my preferred model, Alina was always quick to respond and followed up timely. I would recommend Koons to anyone and everyone.

I was a customer at the dealership for about two years. Every 6 months I took my vehicle to get maintenance and kept up with all the recommended services that was presented to me. I have a 2016 Kia Optima SXT and in 2022 the turbo failed. We took the vehicle to the dealership and the warranty company sent out an adjuster and determined that the turbo failed on its own and they were going to cover the changes. Koons Kia did the repair and everything seemed to go well. Fast forward to January 2024, the turbo fails again and I took the vehicle to another Kia dealership in the town I m currently living in. Once again, the warranty company sends out an adjuster and this time they stated that the turbo failed due to improper installation. The tech at Koons Kia installed the hose incorrectly, causing it to rub against the fan, shredding the hose and debris entered the turbo causing it to fail. We informed Koons Kia that the very adjuster who took responsibility the first is now saying the turbo failed due to the negligence of the dealership service department. We sent pictures over to Koons Kia and they denied the claim stating the hose was replaced in 2018 due to a recall and that s why it failed so they are not responsible. This does not make any sense because Koons Kia replaced the turbo, two years after the hose was recalled. If the hose was defective in any way, the adjuster would have pointed that out in 2022 when the turbo failed the first time. Now Koons Kia is refusing to answer our calls. We requested a copy of the warranty on the work they did to the turbo with our signature and they cannot provide us with the document. I have driven the vehicle for less than 8000 miles since 2022 and kept up on my maintenance so this wasn t an issue of excessive use. We are completely disappointed in the way Koons Kia refuses to take responsibility and pay what they owe. I love my vehicle and I take good care of it but I strongly recommend to be weary when dealing with these folks. When you are spending money and making payments they are the nicest people in the world, but when it is time for them to have some integrity and take care of the customer due to a fault of their own, it becomes a circus. The turbo cost about $4000 to replace and for them to leave us with that bill, knowing they are responsible for the improper installation is beyond disgusting.

We called and spoke with Hamid and he warmly greeted us when we arrived to test drive a 21 GT Mustang. We really liked the car but weren't sure if we were going to be close enough to making a deal with our trade-in... Hamid Pervez and Brandon Thompson worked out a more than generous offer to win us over and they were so kind and thoughtful, asking us questions to ensure our needs were met as far as budget. Our expectations were exceeded when we shook hands and we were handed the keys. Thrilling would best describe how we felt. I want to thank Kristen Parris for doing the finance paperwork on the vehicle and making it a pleasant seamless transaction & being so warm and friendly. Overall the experience was the best I've ever had for making a car purchase. Hands down, best ever!!!!! 5 STARS!!!!!

Autumn is amazing and so wonderful to work with!!! She patiently answering all my questions and negotiated a price and trade all via text--my work makes it hard to answer the phone for a call. We traded in our old Kia for a used one. She made the whole process easy with no headaches. The manager and loan person we worked with were also nice, and they all stayed late for us.

Something I thought that would never happen;happened. I was able to purchase a brand new car from Koons Kia of Owings Mills and the process was fast and efficiently done by Chazz and the many employees that worked with him at this facility from the supervisor and also to the person who processed and prepared the paperwork and to the people that detailed my car. I was more than happy with their services that I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a vehicle. Because I am forever grateful to Chazz and the many people who helped me get my brand new vehicle.

If you re reading this, do NOT make the same mistake I did and come to this dealership. They are the most incompetent bunch of fools. Not to mention they sold me a car with a transmission leak and it needed an oil change. Tried to contact ANYONE who could help me, left multiple messages and never heard a peep. Had to drive 45 minutes to the dealership to get in contact with anyone. Made an appointment to get my transmission looked at and replace the headlight they owed me at the time of purchase. They had my car for 3 days for a diagnostic testing and replacing the headlight housing. I picked it up only to find out they did not do ANYTHING except replace a bulb. When I asked about the testing for the transmission everyone looked confused as to what I was even saying. I hope I never have to deal with these incompetent people again. Hopefully this review will save someone else from going through the headache I ve gone through. I haven t even made my first payment on my car and this dealership has already proved I made a mistake in trusting them with ANYTHING.

Autumn is an excellent salesperson. She knows all of her products about any and every vehicle. She is super nice and her customer service is superb! She will go above and beyond for her clients. Do not book your services online. I made an appointment for an oil change on the website and even received a confirmation only to get there and have them tell me they don't do 4:15 appointments. Another guy who noticed my irritation suggested I call when making an online appointment which does absolutely nothing to solve my problem after I've already wasted the gas to get there. I would recommend suspending online booking for vehicle services if you can't communicate better than that. Like a phone call would have been nice and I wouldn't have been so irritated for having to reschedule.

Koons was guilty of lying by omission at best. Kia as a company is just predatory. Neither of them got our business.Agreed on a price for a car that included a rebate for financing through Kia. Kia is currently advertising excellent financing rates for buyers with excellent credit. We thought this was a no brainer.Where Koons messed up was failing to mention that if you take this rebate, they will triple the interest rate you ll pay. That equaled out to a difference of well over $2k extra in interest over the life of the loan. Additionally, Kia apparently has a financing minimum of $8k which they also failed to mention.We attempted to call the manager listed in the below reply from Koons following his response to this review-the phone number is not his, it is the main line for the dealership. Big surprise, he never called back. Edited to one star for that one.I have never once seen a dealer fail to make ANY attempt at saving a sale when the client has been to see the car, left a deposit, and agreed on a price, then was sitting in front of their finance guy (Jackie was an absolute jerk by the way) ready to pay for the car. The sales manager didn t bother to show his face, and they didn t once address our objection to having the finance rate tripled for the price we d agreed upon. If they re this nonchalant about losing the sale on a 2023 model, you can bet they won t care about whether you re happy with the numbers on a 2024. I suppose they just have so many customers that they don t want our business.Do your own research before you shop with Koons Kia, or any other Kia dealer, before you waste valuable time like we did.
