Garrett automotive has scammed me and other people I know out of hundreds and even thousands of dollars. They do not back their work in my own experience. They say they have fixed something and it's not or you agree upon a certain price range and they blow past it and think it's justifiable without talking to you first and now you owe them thousands of dollars.

These guys are great! I left them a restoration truck project where the previous owner used parts from too many vehicles, it had minor and major issues and with their experience and expertise they researched and fixed each item. I had car trouble while on vacation. So stressful! Several people recommended Garrett Automotive, and I was not disappointed! They were kind, professional, sympathetic, and accommodating. They were also fair and honest. I was able to get my car repaired before I had to make the long drive home. I definitely recommend Garrett Automotive!

I had the front brakes replaced (rotors and pads) on 5.16.22. Immediately strong vibration. They tried to convince me on 11.02.22 that nothing was wrong with what they did, charged me extra for "adjusting my rear brakes". Didn't make one iota of a difference. I just decided to live with it. Fast forward to today, 5.17.23 when I had my brakes checked by my regular guys. The rotors are completely warped. One year and need to get the brakes re-done. Junk parts, that's about all there is to it. Brake rotors ought to last longer than 12 months. And no, I do not have a habit of braking hard.Service: Brakes

I had Garrett Automotive install a trailer hitch on my 2007 FJ Cruiser. Due to some rusting issues, the installation was a bigger challenge and took longer than expected. However Ryan stuck with it and completed the job. While the vehicle was up on the lift, Bill pointed out some rusting issues on the underbody and recommended a procedure and coating that they offer to fight the rust. I had noticed the rust over the years and wondered what could be done to fight this. I scheduled an appointment to have this rust fighting procedure done. Hopefully this helps me get a few more years out of the FJ. Oh by the way, Ed sold me a utility trailer while I waited for the hitch installation. Everyone I dealt with at Garrett Automotive was very friendly and professional. No high pressure sales. A true family business that cares about their customers.

Big shout out to Bill and his team! I was on vacation this past week in Deep Creek when my son had a mishap with our Highlander. Bill and his team were fantastic. They were friendly, professional, thorough, reasonably priced, and timely with their services. Coming from a larger city where you feel like a number going to an automotive center, it was refreshing to be treated with such care and respect. This is my go to repair shop in Oakland. They have always been, reliable, hard working, knowledgeable, professional, kind and people you can trust. They fixed an issue with my car no one else wanted to in Deep Creek Lake. You can tell they have a passion for what they do resulting in quality services. Excellent service and they were done with my car faster than expected. They performed an inspection and I got notified by email of the results quickly. They even helped with guidance on how to get my car registered easily in the state of Maryland. I will definitely be back to have them work on my car again. I stumbled on them by accident and am very glad I did.

The folks at Garrett were wonderful. I had an issue with my car come up just 24 hours before heading home (3.5 hours away). Despite being busy that day, they took a look and were able to fix the issue - and very quickly. Thank you so much!!!

Had a great experience with the wonderful people who work at this shop. Our Pilot broke down and we had it towed to them. They were very helpful in providing us with a rental car while our car was repaired at their shop. Very clear about what the problem was and what options we had going forward. They did a great job and got us back on the road and home. Would highly recommend them if your in the area and need any repairs.

Was down here on vacation from Ohio. I ran over a tire on interstate and tore up the air dam under car. Garrett s auto repair pretty much got me right in to repair damage. What a nice group of people. Very satisfied with the work and price. Also happy they could work me in on short notice.ThanksGlenn

Garrett auto performed service on my dual axle boat trailer. Needed a couple new tires, a new bearing, and repacked the bearings with grease. The surge brake wasn't functioning properly, Ed tore apart the actuator to diagnose a faulty strut, with parts hard to come by he was able to repurpose a strut from a scrap trailer, now it works great! Will definitely go to them again for any trailer related needs.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Great people. Needed help with my jet ski trailer. They got me right in and fixed it.Then on same trip my Yukon started an electronic issue and they helped again.Really great service!

They do excellent work and treat customer very professionally. Their labor is $75/hr, that's rough on the wallet. That's the only reason for 4 stars instead of 5.

our car had thick white smoke . we went there so they will test the car. they did, and after we left. Our car started making more smoke than before. seriously! They told us is nothing wrong with the car. but if os heavy smoke. than something Is Wrong!

Let me start off with, never in my life have I had a car towed for something so simple. Currently pregnant and had to go into the hospital , and with all the construction we parked in the doctors off parking lot along with several other cars, so that I could get in to be seen asap! Which is most important!!!!!!When my childs father left to go get is some things from home, we realized our car was towed. Contacting out to ask why they towed my car, and me trying to explain the situation, he clearly has no care of others in this world! To you sir, I recommend you to get a real JOB, that requires you doing real men work, to earn your pay! This will also be addressed further, please believe! This is by far the most obnoxious thing anyone could get while stuck in the hospital pregnant.

Great group of people. They went out of thier way to help me out with new brakes when mine completly failed with a shop full of vehicles already, no appointment, and near their closing time.

Went in and talked to them a bit and didnt have the needed parts that i needed but said can have them Friday. Oredered parts. All good i can tell u one thing i needed some service done i will be checking them out

Run by a down to earth guy who would do what it takes to fix your vehicle within reason. Lot is always full, nice little waiting area and a larger than it looks garage kept very organized.
