First time here. Upon arrival at 5:20p on 7/14 I was met with a locked door to the area I thought was the entrance (it was the waiting area door). I found the other door to the main warehouse area and was greeted by Shannon. I said I had a 5:30p appointment for an alignment. He said, well, that takes 30-40 minutes. Did you call? I said I made the appointment online and it said confirmed once I was done as did the text message. He said I should have called. To that end I didn t know I had to call as nothing I got or saw indicated that. Google says you close at 6 but I think it may be 7 according to your site . He did take my keys and the appointment was in motion with the quoted price of $99 plus shop fees of $10. The waiting area was closed off with an out of order sign which included the restroom. The entire building was extremely warm and little flies were all around, too. I sat on the one stool I could find. The standalone hand sanitizer dispenser was beeping every 13 seconds for low battery. I did see signs about a renovation but the state the store is in is a mess. I overheard Shannon say he s short 5 staff, too. The service was completed and the car is running well. The free vehicle inspection was blank. All items were NA . (It s a web page you get linked to via text)I won t be back unless they make major improvements to the customer service experience. It was very uncomfortable and an unpleasant. Service Done: A-, Overall Experience: C+

My experience was great overall. I replaced all 4 tires and did an alignment. The only issue was the process took about 3.5 hours, which is about 2 hours longer than my typical tire change/alignment experience in the past.Luckily, the team was very nice and kept me updated on the vehicle's status. Plus, the wifi worked perfectly. I would definitely do business at this pep boys again!

I have an old car that is essentially totalled with almost unusable breaks among other problems. I just needed the minimum amount fixed to make it to my business trip in 2 days as I am planning to replace the car in a month. Jacob understood the assignment and made my car safely drivable for the lowest cost and got it back to me in time for my trip. Thank you, I will be back!

Joseph was my service representative and he was great today. I came in unexpectedly, because I had a slow leak in my rear driver side tire. Joseph gave me his best recommendation with price range and tire quality. Thanks to him I will be returning for future services that he recommended me for to keep a healthy car on the road.

Updated: I went in for 4 new tires. The service guys were very nice and friendly. But I'm concerned about my TPMS light on my dashboard that won't go off since I picked up my car. **** I took my car back to address the tire pressure light, and they took care of it immediately. I appreciated that!

I needed to get 4 new tires right away. Joseph, at Pep Boys in Laurel, provided me with prompt, courteous, and professional service. I now have my new tires, at a decent price, and in a timely fashion. I am happy with the service I received.

Was a quick experience(with an appointment). I was running a little late and Joseph assisted me promptly and professionally with understanding. Got me through the registering process smoothly and kept me updated. The service I received was a great surprise from the look from outside. They ARE open, and they ARE professional.

Had new wheels and tires installed, went back 2 more times, but had to buy the tool myself to reprogram my TPMS sensors. They literally never programmed the IDs into the new ones and were just pressing reset in the vehicle and charging me $90 for it.

We got a flat tire and I made an appointment online before we head here to repair the tire and replace new tires for all four.At first, the place was great! Spacious and lots of choices.I was in line while someone was being assisted by a guy on nameplate called Patel. While I was waiting on line, he already took my attention."What do you want?" he said to me with a high toned voice.I said to him, "I made an appointment online yesterday. I want to fix my tire."He replied to me with his high voice, like he was mad, and said, "That will take long! Three to four hours!"I told him that I will wait.So, he took my details and the key to my car.After the findings, he told me that they do not have tires for my car, in which he should have said in the first place.He told me that he can replace the tires, but he will need to order and bring it the next day.I told him that I need to replace my tires that day. He advised me to go to their other branch in Landover, MD, wherein they have 3 new tires. The other branch is approximately 10 miles from this shop.I told him if he already called the other branch that we will go there and reserved those three tires for us. He just responded in a sarcastic way that I will jist go there and the tires will still be there (really?).The "Extra Mile" customer service has turned into an extra mile telling me to go their other branch and try my luck.I just went to the other service center nearest me.You must train, or replace that person, so that every customer will have the same great experience.

Lots of auto parts to choose from. The tire selection is good and well priced. The lounge area is comfortable and there's a charging station for phones and laptops. I like that I can see into the mechanics bay and know what is/isn't happening with my vehicle.

I came into this site for a 120 point inspection and have received the ultimate customer service. I was getting a car checked that I was interested in buying. Demetri, Ant and Kareem helped tremendously by giving me solid advice and going the extra mile by walking me through the carfax report.

If I could leave zero stars, I would! I scheduled a diagnostic on Nov. 3 at 10 am. I arrived for my appointment only for the male employee to look at me as if I didn t know what the issue was with my car! Initially, he said, yOu aRenT mAKIng AnY sENse, when I was explaining that my start/stop function wasn t working and how I suspected it was the alternator. He then looked at me as if I was unintelligent and said, iF iT wAS yoUR AltERNaTOR, yOuR cAR wOUldNT dRiVe. Moreover, he refused to even run a diagnostic. The only reason I chose them was that they were covered by my insurance. Needless to say, after the employee treated me condescendingly and refused to even look at my car, I left. Fast forward to today (11/22), I scheduled a diagnostic with All Star Automotive (127 Second Street). Upon arrival, I explained what was going on with my car and received the best customer service ever! And guess what IT WAS MY ALTERNATOR clearly, I m not some dumb woman who doesn t know what she s talking about.In conclusion, don t go to Pepboys. They don t treat women(especially young black women) with any respect. Instead, choose All Star Automotive.

Store ID #: 0072 Service Work Order#: 2288309I made an appointment on line for a conventional oil change and free tire rotation.I observed the work on my car through the customers' waiting room window that overlooks the workroom floor. from the time the mechanic brought my car to the garage until he drove it off the garage to the parking lot. The only work I observed the mechanic preformed was only changing the oil, nothing else!I did not see the mechanic check the tires or anything related to tire evaluation or rotation and other inspections.Although I made the appointment for a conventional oil change, the mechanic chose to do synthetic oil change without my authorization.Furthermore, I was told that I need to replace the two rear tires and replace the rear shocks and strut assembly for $960.40.I'm sure that the mechanic came to that conclusion without inspecting my car!I'm so disappointed!!!

Don't take your car to this shop!! Took my car in for a break job. Someone at the shop decided to drive my car and damage the front bumper by hitting something. When I called the shop Steve picked up and rushed me off the phone saying they were busy and he would have to call me back. Two days later still no call. I now have to waste my time going to the police station to file a report against the shop and to make sure my car wasn't in a hit a run.

It was very easy to make an appointment on line. The mechanic showed me and took the time to explain exactly what the problem with my car was and what needed to be done to fix it. The manager was very concerned, polite, trustworthy and helpful throughout the process of repair to my car. I would go back to this place for services to my car.

I'm editing my previous response. I was going to write in detail my experiences but basically, they didn't listen to me and the words that were coming out of my mouth about checking and honoring the work they had already done. They've waisted my time and my money and I'm sure Pep Boys understands how that equates. I had been going there for a while but the likelihood of me going back now is slim. It's really nice to see responses on Google from Pep Boys, however I'm convinced that it's just for show and they don't really care about customer time or money.

Shannon had exceptional customer service. I had appointment for an oil change and he called me as soon as my car was ready. He was nice, patient, and understanding. I recommend Laurel location.

STAY AWAY! Poorly staffed, horrible customer service, dingy sloppy facilities. Had appointment scheduled, showed up early. They couldn't figure out own system, new guys but manager "on break." Ended up waiting for an hour for installation tech, not manager or assistant manager, says "I only have two more on my schedule and I'm off. Can't do your car." Turn and walk away. WTH! New guy makes excuses, not our fault it's corporate. Uh, no. You are in the shop and you know the schedule, that is not corporate. People there don't feel valued and it shows! Facilities were bad even for a garage. Ended up leaving with tires and scheduled at Firestone. Save the headache and get quality service elsewhere.
