Don t go here, place is horrible, terrible at communicating with you and they will finesse you out your money. Rodney was rude in the beginning and they will try to make you pay before they touch your car without knowing how much parts and labor will be. DONT GO HERE!

Got my trans fixed here 5 years ago and everything was good price parts and the guy Ron who runs the place. About a year ago i got turned away because my truck was to big for the lift, ok it would have been better to get that info before i dropped it off there and wasted my time! This is the last tie i will ever visit them i waited 4 weeks to get an appointment, which i did not get called back for i repeatedly called to finally get a drop off date and time! Ron Assured me John could fix anything so i take another day off to drop off my truck off and later in the day i get a call making it clear that because my truck had an extreme lift that they did not want to even work on it, they checked it out and did not charge me for it, but came up with no solutions to my problem! I have wasted alot of time and energy on these clowns to have it end again without a fix for my problem and if he did not want to do it it would have been better to tell me before i uber-ed myself home and now i have to make arrangements to pick up my truck again from a shop i was assured could rebuild and fix anything. Apparently i would just be better off replacing my problem instead of trucking it around for people to tell me they don't want to do the work after they waste my time! Don't waste your time with either of these a55holes this place is a waste of time for anyone with a truck!

Avoid this place at all cost! Went in for a transmission diagnostic after experiencing possible transmission issues. The scanner came back with no codes and was told I would need to pay $1800 for a transmission tear down so they can figure out the issue. I immediately declined and took it to a more reputable shop, and come to find out my transmission is fine, I just needed a tune-up. So I went from an $1800 tear down to a $500 tune-up. My truck is running fine again. Don't get scammed, folks.

The office manager is extremely rude. We were on the phone talking about the work that needed to be done on my vehicle because I have interlock device on my car I was trying to explain to him how the device works and the man wouldn t let me finish a sentence without continuously cutting me off during our conversation. He said that they wouldn t be able to service my vehicle because of the device(mind you all this happened after I had already explained this another employee last week, that employee said not to worry that they would be able to service my vehicle with the device that s why I was confused when the office manager said otherwise) one of the other employees at the shop last week and when I asked for that in writing he flipped out on me when I asked if he could stop yelling he denied that he was yelling and continued to cut me off on top of threatening not to service my vehicle due the fact that I asked for a copy of the company s policy

I must give this place 5 stars! I called in the morning and they said come on by and drop off your car. An hour later they called me with the estimate which was a pretty decent price. My car was finished within a few hours. Stacia was very knowledgeable about cars and didn't try to get me to fix things I didn't need. The mechanic does quality work and I am very happy with the service I received. I will definitely be going back for any future repairs. It's hard to find honest and trustworthy mechanics so I was happy to find this one.

I will start off by acknowledging that I DID NOT have my transmission serviced here but the level of customer service offered by this establishment is some of the best that I have experienced in years. After bringing my 2007 BMW 328xi to the dealership for a transmission diagnosis, it was determined that the transmission would need to be replaced at a cost of roughly $8500 (for an 8 year-old car with close to 150k miles). The dealership itself suggested that I take the car into a local repair shop for rebuild at a much cheaper price. I decided to try this AAMCO facility since it was located a relatively close distance to the dealership. My car was towed by AAMCO for free and after their initial analysis, was offered a rebuild price of roughly $4000. I was now faced with the decision to either sink money into the repair or a buy a new car. AAMCO was extremely patient throughout this decision-making process. At no point in time was I forced to make a rush decision. After close to two weeks of deliberation - with no decision made - I finally decided to tow the car off their property for fear of having to incur runaway storage fees. Tony surprisingly did not charge a single dime, and would not take a single penny from me for having kept my car there this long. As per Tony "This is not the kind of company we are". I may not have had my car serviced there, but I certainly would have had that been the path I chose. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone looking to have their transmission serviced simply on the basis of the excellent customer serviced experienced throughout my process of interacting with AAMCO Laurel.

They fixed my transmission and kept my drivers license, never gave it back. When I tried reaching out to them, no one answered. They're mailbox is full. I cannot get my license back so its been considered stolen. Please avoid this place. I will be filing a police report on the place for theft. Avoid the place.Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I had a check engine light that came on. I went online to find an AAMCO. I read all the reviews and went to the Laurel MD location. They had an online coupon. They honored the coupon. I dropped off my car, they called me the next day. They gave me good advice and recommendations. Honesty is the best policy.

My Truck has been at this auto repair shop for over a week and I want to thank Tony and staff for Outstanding Customer service and working with me to get the assistance I needed to have my repair done, even though I decided not to get my repair it was do to my own financial situation, but Tony was exceedingly understanding and showed me the up most respect and patience I have seen in a long time and did not charge me any hidden or extra fees. I would recommend all of my friends and family to visit this great establishment for their car care. thanks again Tony I appreciate all that you do

Literally a waste of time and Money! I will never go back to these people again! They took over 24+ hours to diagnose my car only to tell me there was nothing wrong with it. And waited to the last hour to tell me to come pick my car up or they would charge me an overnight fee. I barely made at 4:51pm to pick yo my car! Which they then said nothing was wrong with it! Even though it won't go over 40mph. So yeah, I would go elsewhere, ANYwhere but this place!

I would not recommend getting your vehicle serviced here. I'm only giving a three star rating because my vehicle was fixed. Otherwise I had a bad experience overall. This AAMCO's customer service was non-existent and for a little over two weeks I had to constantly ask for the status of the repair. They failed to achieve self imposed deadlines again and again. Save yourself a headache and go elsewhere.

I really appreciated the professionalism displaced during my time of frustration. After purchasing a vehicle in May of this year, the transmission failed 60 days after the date of purchase. Although very irritated, I am very thankful for the extended warranty. After discussing my issue with Tony; the manager at AAMCO, I felt more and more at ease knowing that my car would be taken good care of in a timely fashion. I thank Tony and his team for their expertise and great customer service.

Stacia was great, she helped me understand the process and how long they would have my car. I dealt with a dealership and was very disappointed, but AAMCO was straightforward, honest and saved me a lot of money! Will continue to bring my vehicle to them.

Working with Tony was great, but Michael is a totally different story. I am out of $650 and my car is still not repaired. Michael said "We should both cut our losses". Wow, my definition of poor customer service.

Finally, an honest operation, at least representative Stacia. AAA Car Care in Laurel, MD told me I needed a new transmission. I got a second opinion from transmission specialists. The diagnosis? My transmission was fine I just needed a new alternator. $850 vs. $4500 for a transmission. This AAMCO operation seems to be honest and not preying on its customers like the swindlers at the AAA Care Care in Laurel.

I take my car here because Tony and his team can be trusted. They're honest and do not charge me more because I don't know anything about cars. Plus, they do fast, great work.

Ok so I brought my 2005 chevy impala here for a free diagnostic it took a couple hours before I could pick the car up. When I did they told me that I needed a new speed sensor ($375) and air flow sensor ($250). I gave the news to a friend of mine whos mechanic. He told me that he could do both for $300 flat. When working on the car he realized that the existing speed sensor was disconnected. I ended up paying my friend $50 for his time and I haven't had a problem since.

A rip off. I will NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO USE AAMCO AGAIN. Going there has been the worst decision I had ever made. Paid $1595.00 labor upfront and had to take my car away without repair.

This place was a complete rip off. They said my transmission needed to be replaced and $7,100 later the car is doing the same thing. Come to find out it was my throttle body not communicating with the throttle body sensorService: TransmissionService: Transmission

This place is the WORST!!!! before taking the car I asked for and appointment, but the person in customer service just said to drop it between 8-12 and 1-5. So I went the next day and droped it of the next morning at 8:30, I did not get a call from the during the morning so I decided to call them around 3 pm. and they still had no respond and still were checking it the car, the next day I waited and called them around 10:30 am and the same person tells me that its still being checked on!!! this place is so irresponsable.... So my husband decide to go at 2:00 pm and go get the car, he gets the keys and the car doesn't TURN ON!!!!! this is the WORST SHOP!!!!!! THIS AAMCO in 20 Wasington Blvd LAUREL MD

Very professional she politely gives you full details on the problem. She is very easy to talk to making it easy to make a decision on having your vehicle fixed or not.

I TOTALLY wish I had read reviews prior to taking my vehicle to them. Not only was my car misdiagnosed and still not repaired, as a woman not knowing, I paid them and still had to have my car taken somewhere else. How do I get my money back????
