They did a great job providing scheduled maintenance. The price of service is fair. It's much better than going to the dealership. They gave me a small discount for a snafu with pickup time, which I appreciated, even though they made the time work. Kenny will work with you to get it done and done right.

I had an issue with my 2007 BMW X5 that had been plaguing me for years which was this intermittently loud ticking sound that was coming from the rear axle. I had taken it to 2 repair shops + a BMW dealership (Rockville) and they either could not figure it out or completely misdiagnosed the problem. One specialty BMW shop I took the car to 3 times and they still were not able to fix the problem which ended up wasting a lot of my time.. I was at my wits end and I asked my brother in-law for advice. He recommended Fa-Rina. They quickly diagnosed the problem, got the parts and had the car fixed and the issue resolved within 24 hours for � the price that the BMW dealership was going to charge for their mis-diagnosed repair option. Also recently my alternator had an issue and they were able to get the part and repair the car in less than 24 hours. I have spoken to the owner (Ron) and the mechanics that work there and they are really great people who take pride in their work. These guys do outstanding, quality work, at a reasonable price and they do it fast. I have recommended this place to friends and family. I would give them 6 stars if I could.

I was having a transmission problem with my Honda pilot and I decided to go to Fa-Rina based on their customer reviews. They were able to fit me in and were able to fix my car by the next day. It was awesome. Great service and the prices were reasonable. I highly recommend Fa-Rina to anyone looking for great mechanics and reasonable prices. Thank you for taking care of my car for me Ron and staff! You will be my go to guys if I have any car troubles.

If farina can get my 78 mgb roaster up and running, we can call it even and i will be very satisfied , the car has, new clutch, new slave cylinder, new duel barell carburator, new fuel filter, new distributor, just needs to be properly connected and alligned .Service: TransmissionService: Transmission

I was referred to Fa-Rina years ago by friends who drive Lexuses and Mercedes. I'm also a foreign car driver, so I started taking my car there, too, and went there for many years. I moved away and returned recently and asked my friends if they still go there because I needed brakes, and they said they absolutely do. I am happy to say that I am still very pleased with their service, customer service, prices, and the friendliness and professionalism shown by all. John especially was very helpful in getting me scheduled, keeping me posted about my car, and making sure everything was done to my satisfaction. After years of going to Fa-Rina and even after the changes in ownership, I'm still a very happy customer! Great job by all!Service: Brakes

FA-RINA-->these are car repair experts who care about people. Recently, I needed an oil change (the indicator light had come on), and the dealership I had been going to was booked for weeks. After texting a few people to ask if they knew of a good place, a friend enthusiastically referred me to FA-RINA. I called, and they asked for pertinent info about my car and then told me said if I came the next morning around 8:30 AM, they could do the change. I was there first thing the next day. It became clear pretty quickly why my friend gave such a strong endorsement. The staff at FA-RINA was terrific! Respectful, super knowledgeable, and pleasant. The oil change was completed within hours. Meanwhile, while I waited, John, the manager, tended to multiple customers--by phone and in person--with ease and friendly banter--all while handling various business tasks. Plus, it felt like a calm and safe space, pretty unusual for a car repair business. I'm relieved to have found a business committed to excellence that I can confidently entrust with taking care of my car in the years to come.Service: Oil change

Farina s is the best. I ve been bringing my cars here for over 25 years. They are straight shooters! I ve never experienced anything other than honesty, friendliness, courtesy and generosity from the management or technicians. And the technical work they do has been top notch. I have been a Farina customer for over 25 years,When the company changed ownership I was a littleReluctantly about the new ownership. After my car warranty expired I called Farina and spoke with Shawn to get an appointment same Great Service On the day of my appointment I meet Shawn & Brandon they both made me feel at home. I will recommend Farina to all my family and friends. My appointment was for my 30,000 mile check. I m also saving money & gas allowing Farina to service my vehicle. Love the service there as always!

For those of you that get sticker shock at the dealership, Fa-Rina is a must. Ron, Keen and Staff are honest, dependable, and affordable. With 4 cars all having more than 140k on the odometer, I see them often and know what I am talking about. Never an upsell and they always stand behind their work. I have been taking my car to Farina for over 12 years and I wouldn't trust my car to anyone else. The first time I ever went there, the owner at the time was speaking with an older woman who really wanted something done on her car, and Tony told her "Ma'am, we can do that if you really want, but you don't need it" - and I knew then that they were trustworthy and reliable. Furthermore, as a woman, they have ALWAYS treated me with respect. Kenny kept my 98' Honda Civic going until 263k miles and would have kept it going longer if I had wanted! They will not be the absolute bottom of the barrel budget wise because they always use the best parts and are careful and thorough with their work but they are very fair and reasonable price-wise. I was a bit nervous when the original owner sold the business but I have experienced the same quality, trustworthy, reliable work for several years now. I do not often write reviews but Farina is absolutely one of the very best businesses I have ever had the honor to recommend. My car would not start so I had it towed here for service on a Friday. Thus my worse car service experience began. T Monday I was called and told it was the battery and was quoted a price that included the battery and installation. I was told that would be completed because the battery was in stock. It was not done that day and when I called that afternoon I was told another story and that someone would call me back. No one did. The next morning I called and was quoted a much higher price for the battery.i was also told that it was not known if it was completed. At that point I stated I would come get my car if they could jump it, or I would have it towed elsewhere. The manager called back and said my car was ready. I went to get my car and was charged 438.00 for a battery. This was over a hundred dollars more than I was originally quoted. I paid the price and got my car. Each time I spoke with someone I was given a different story, I was misquoted on the price and only when I was preparing to take my car else where did I receive the call my car was ready. Poor service and inconsistencies u was given the run around for a battery! Never again would I use this place. I do not recommend it!Service: Battery

I've been coming here for a few years and it's been a great experience everytime. Everyone working there has been friendly and knowledgeable. They've always been honest and upfront about the work that needs to be done and I've always had my car back at a reasonable time. No-one wants car issues but when I run into some I feel pretty confident and comfortable leaving my car with them, easily the best shop I've had the luck of findingServices: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

The service is always top notch. They diagnose what is needed immediately and those things that you can defer until a later date. I have been coming to Fa-Rina for many years and I have been pleased with the work they perform. The main point of contact, John, is always personable and responsive.

Today was a really good day. I d been to another shop near Farina three times this week for service. Frustrated, I remembered this place and walked in for service. I was in no rush cause all I wanted to do is wait and process my payroll. While waiting I witnessed some of the best customer service I have ever received in an auto shop. Joe was very personable (with that adorable accent) and just an overall cool guy. He took me in even though I had no appt. My tech was just as sweet ( I sound like my mother) he was very knowledgeable, I needed more service that I thought but I don t feel like they were knocking me over the head with the price. These guys know their customers by name and have serviced vehicles for entire families. The customers bring them donuts! I think I found a home for my Camry. I guess this is where I was supposed to go. Pay them a visit!Service: Auto maintenance

I never leave reviews but I just had too. The service I received was a pleasure. The staff was so nice and friendly. I took my son audi A6 in for A.C service. John explained everything to me not once but serval times. Just so I understood what I was getting done .John is very patient kind and professional. I felt very comfortable. Lou did the work and he was kind , pleasant and professional. Lou knew exactly what was wrong with the A.C . Thanks Lou and John for your outstanding service. Fa-Rina's has the best, most ethical mechanics in Maryland, possibly in the world. As a woman who is clueless about car mechanics and often low on funds to pay for car repairs, I used to fear having to bring my car in for repair. Then I lucked into finding Fa-Rina's. The first time I brought my car in, I said, "I fear the radiator's busted as my car is overheating, and I'm worried it's going to cost $600 to replace, which is $500 more than I have now." When I came back the next day, they charged me $20, explaining that it was just a simple hose replacement and that the radiator itself was fine. I was stunned by such efficiency and honesty when I wouldn't have known any different. I've been a loyal customer ever since, & just last week, I was reminded again of how wonderful they are when they replaced my key FOB battery at no charge, as an over-the-top courtesy.Farina's has changed the way I think of auto repair shops, through years of excellent, professional, speedy, kind, and reliable service. Who would have ever thought I'd use "kind" and "auto repair" in the same sentence? That's how much they've elevated my opinion of the industry. While Tony is greatly missed, Ron, Charles, and every other current staff member are all fantastic. Collectively, they've restored my faith in mechanics and mankind. I have taken several of my vehicles in for repair for the past 4 - 5 years and always received excellent service starting with Charles at the front counter during check in and call backs to let me know how the repairs were progressing. The repairs were always done professionally and more important correct. I now have another vehicle that needs breaks, however I can not seem to get an appointment. I am very sadden to hear that Charles is no longer a part of the Fa-Rina team. Things seemed to run much smoother when he was there.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

I have been a customer for over 36 years. The Farina team is honest and very experienced. All of the mechanics are skilled professionals, who only recommend repairs that are needed. My cars, over the years, have been serviced and returned to me clean (inside interior). I would recommended Farina without hesitation! Charles' customer service is excellent. I have never been disappointed with the service done on my cars over the years.

It has been 10+ years that I have been going to Fa-rina Car Specialists and have been extremely happy with my experience throughout. They are a honest group of people; their diagnostics, competency and cost for repair has always been extremely reasonable. I never felt being overcharged. I will highly recommend them.

UPDATE: Farina went out of their way to service my car again for me. They took care of one of my services for no charge and thoroughly checked my car. Charles and the guys here do their utmost to care for their customers even after a problem arises. I deeply appreciate that. This type of follow-up service is what makes them the shop my family has frequented for over 30 years.************************We have used this car shop for over 30 years. As far as I'm aware the VIN number always has to be checked when parts are ordered so that the proper parts I procured for the vehicle and time is not wasted. I had a repair done last year for my vehicle and then I was charged again to repair the exact same thing with a brand new replacement part this year yesterday. After 30 years this is absolutely unacceptable. A full refund should be given. Not quite sure why something like this will be happening at this shop which I have known to do exceptional and trustworthy work for the last 7 cars I've owned.

Fa rina took great care of my Audi S7. Brandon is very knowledgeable in European cars and you can tell he takes pride in what he does. John is hilarious and keeps you informed every step of the way and no work will be performed without your consent. Take your car here you won't be disappointed.

I have been a customer of Fa-Rina for over 30 years. The service is excellent and the best mechanics in the country. Love everyone like family. The pricing is the best you will find at any foreign car shop. I am amazed at the kind support and care your safety. I trust no one else to work on my cars. You all are the best.
