Zero stars was not an option. It took a little over 5 years but it finally showed itself. I had my windshield replaced in my explorer several years ago. I brought my explorer back here after they installed the windshield because there was a vibration that wasn t present prior to the new installation. I was convinced it had something to do with the seal. At least twice we brought the vehicle back and the tech tried to adjust the wiper blades like that was the problem. I explained the issue in great detail after the 4th call. Now I was aggravated and demanding resolution, I was never disrespectful. When I asked to speak to the owner a gentleman grabbed the phone from the woman I was speaking with and hung up on me. A good company is measured by how they handle mistakes. They decided to glue the broken trim clips back on and it lasted 5 years. Now I m $400 + out of pocket to fix all because you couldn t do the right thing. Wouldn t recommend them to anyone. If they make a mistake you will end up leaving with a belly full of anger and no resolution. Safelite repair & replace. And if you ve had an explorer windshield replaced and your pillar trim flew off, I would check to see if the same black glue they used on the windshield is now on the clips. Look at pics below. New trim clip hole glued over. Clearly same as windshield glue all over old bracket. Thanks for the terrible service!

I just picked up 45 individual custom sized pieces of tempered glass to fit a steel window project, every single piece FIT PERFECTLY! The crew there was helpful getting my truck loaded and I can t say more about the service and quality. If there were 10 stars I d give them a 10!

Spoke on the phone a few times and emailed them pictures. They kept saying someone would reply for estimate but never got a reply. After calling back for 2 days asking about a reply and being told give it a few minutes. I gave up and called another company.

I recently took my dual pane window to get the glass pane replaced here. The frame was returned with cuts and gouges along it from an inexperienced tech. The issue is that the owner refused to take responsibility for his businesses actions by saying that there were "no damages whatsoever when it left the shop". I am very disappointed with what was supposed to be an easy job.

Needed to replace my windshield. Gragan was recommended. They offered a next day appointment and said it would take 1 1/2 hours. I had to schedule two days out. My car was ready in 1 hour. Went through my insurance company but found out on day of service the cost was only $275. Didn't have to pay the $500 deductible, and canceled the insurance claim. Everyone was so personable and professional. I asked if they did glass work beyond cars. They do so much more. Will be getting an estimate on replacing the shower doors in my primary bedroom. I'm truly impressed with this company!

I have had issues with my shower door for sometime and realize that it's out of warranty but when I tried to get them to come out they wanted $195.00 to come to my residence which is only seven miles away ridiculous obviously they don't stand behind there work never use them again

They are wonderful.. customer service is the best. Gragan set rep came by, estimated, measured, gave me an estimated date for installation and the price was even better than the estimate. Honest, courteous, great customer service, and the quality of the work was worth it. I highly recommend!

I m sure that this company does great work based on past reviews -I am still waiting for my glass to be installed and it s going on 3 months. They sent two men out to measure the glass for our remodeled shower on January 27th -at that time we were told 2.5 to 3 weeks to install. We started calling the last week of February- and we were told that they would call when the glass came in - and that the estimate is 21 business days not including the weekends - fast forward to the beginning of March - we are still waiting and now the glass was here but the hardware was not hardware comes in finally on March 15th and they schedule for install on today March 21st -they got here and started working - and about 30 minutes in they told us that the work cannot be completed because one of the holes in the glass was drilled in the incorrect place - and now we have to wait another two weeks!!! I also have to mention that all the times we contacted Gragan and Sons - even up to this point- they haven t even offered an apology or some type of consideration for our inconvenience- I understand all companies are having supply chain issues - but be upfront about it - we went with this company because they said they could finish the job in 3 weeks where others were scheduling 5 weeks and longer out. So proceed with caution do you hire this company.

Extremely disappointing service. I ve been reaching out to have a 6 window s panes replaced for a client for nearly two weeks. Responses are slow at best and non-existent at worst. My clients were extremely interested in moving forward with the work, and asked me to have Gragan reach out to make arrangements - I asked once and they didn t do it, the second time I reached out and asked they said they would and STILL didn t contact my client. Today when I reached out, I found that there office is going to be closed until Monday. I guess never mind then - we will look elsewhere.

I had them repair my kitchen window that had moisture in it and replace a kitchen door pane that I broke. I got two estimates and Gragan Glass was the lowest and could provide the service the quickest. They did a magnificent job. Talented and professional employees.

If I could give this company anything less than zero star, I would. I took my car for windshield repair and was charged $75. Two weeks after repair the crack expanded and now I need to replace the entire windshield. Please stay away and don t be fooled by the positives reviews.

A branch fell on my windshield Wednesday and by Friday morning I had an appointment. My technician was super polite, knowledgeable and professional. He completed the job of replacing my smashed windshield like a breeze and cleaned up the glass from the inside of my truck! Highly recommend!

Gragan and Sons Glass, Inc was the company I chose, in several cases, and I had nothing but great things to say as a result of their labor on my truck rear window. I had no issues at the time, nor do I understand the process of professional labor to my vehicle or other vehicles so, I will explain. When I received my truck back in my possession on 3 April 2020, I was told the rear sliding window (part# 2542006, $798.52) labor was "completed," with a small module with wires/cables was exposed and the remnants of the previous broken glass remained. I was not upset at this time. The wires/cables and the module remained as-is for over a year and working in sans issues, without realizing, of course, that this was incorrect and was not supposed to be. Fast forward to today, 14 September 2021, I took my truck back to Gargan and Sons, with the expectation that they would take care of everything, only to have the employee tell me, "I wish you brought this back sooner." I asked why, and he explained that the track or motor eventually faltered because of the exposed wires/cable and module. He then stated they would do the labor of installing a whole NEW rear window for free; however, the glass, which is the entire rear window with a new sliding center, etc., would be an out pocket expense.Moving forward, I expressed my deep concern and was unaware of their work being incorrect at the time of completion. I continued and provided the example of "If I took my computer to a repair to have components worked on, would I have knowing knowledge of shotty work?!" He again said, "I wish you brought it in sooner as the factory warranty is a year." I spoke to whom I believed to be the professional and the manager (John Gragan and he explained the following:The glass, which includes the motor, cables, module (the sliding center glass), and all other components, is under factory warranty. When advised if a piece of the window was incorrect and the lack of knowledge of window installments, I trusted his company to install properly for a longer-lasting product, beyond the factory warranty, he became slightly aggressive. He then explained his shop's work on 3 Arpil 2020, including how perfect the labor was with no issues.I presented him with the same scenario having to do with a computer issue, and his response was, "Have you bought homes before? Then you knew the home warranty is a year."Lastly, If Gragan and Sons Glass completed the work correctly, why offer free labor? To be friendly and then tell me that I need to pay for the ENTIRE rear window (approx. value of $900+)? All factors including labor and the justifications- were neither professional nor justifiable, and his responses and demeanor were poor and unprofessional.Think about this, why go to a professional to receive a product and labor correctly on the first visit and then expect to pay for it all one year and five months later? Now, I have to file another claim through my insurance to assist me with this issue and perhaps file a report through small claims for their terrible work and experience.

I have used Gragan's many times for glass on all my tables, buffets and more, 5 bedroom sets over the last 8 yrs for dressers, night stands and TV consoles to protect the wood and my furniture investment. My experience was top quality, and professionalism from the first phone call to when the last piece of glass was installed. Installers were awesome and polite, cleaned glass of finger prints before leaving. I highly recommend Gragan and will use them again for sure. Thank you!

I had a GREAT experience with this shop. 2 of my neighbors highly recommended them and now I know why. From the time that I called about getting my window repaired to when I picked it, they were amazing. They even helped me get insurance to pay for a brand new window. I will be going back to them for anything to do with glass. So amazing!

Difficult to get response from ... paid for a window back in March and have sent several emails and made calls - left messages and no response to her the window I paid for installed. No replies on my emails or phone calls ... also need a repair made on the glass shower containment they installed in March because pieces are falling off ... can t get anyone past the voice mail .... very frustrating ! If they can t honor their work then I d just appreciate a refund since they aren t willing to show my business matters to them

I have a small landscaping company in the Waldorf/White Plains area. We break on average 4-5 windows per year by slinging up rocks from the mowers/weed whackers.Previously, I used Royal Glass to replaced all of my windows but since they went out of business 4-5 years ago I have had to try out the other companies in the area. I've tried Waldorf Glass, D&S Glass, Safelite, and a few other small companies I can't even remember. I understand that it can probably be a pain in the A** to be in the glass business. It falls in the same category with Lost Baggage at airports, Towing companies, and Locksmiths. I mean most of the customers are normally in a bad mood or calling against their will. The other local glass services often had rude employees, were unreliable, were overbooked, or just plain ignorant. I even had an employee at one of the above companies use vulgar language towards me for calling to follow up on an estimate. On another occasion, one of the above companies came out to the broken window SIX (6) times with the wrong glass, and then increased the original quote by $250. Needless to say, I canceled and Gragan had the window replaced for 3/4ths of the original quote the next day.I've been using Gragan for the past few years and I have been more than pleased with their service. I call, they give me a quote, give them a card number over the phone, and they set everything up at the resident where the window has been broken. Following the service, they even email me a receipt. Their prices are more than reasonable (often a few hundred below the other fools in the area) and they always get everything right the first time. Before you go calling the other companies, give Gragan a call, it will save you days of stress and aggravation. Thanks for the great service over the years!-Alex

We had some Anderson window glass replaced and repaired. We were extremely happy with the work and felt it was done at fair prices. Everyone we dealt with was very courteous. We would highly recommend .

Gragen and Son provided a timely estimate for replacement of a standard sliding patio door (over the phone) and offered to complete within 1 hr if dropped off (saved 100.00 and a day without a door by dropping the door off ). The work was completed within the hr and I had no problems. Three other companies in Waldorf did not even provide an estimate for cost within the same time period it took to drop off and be repaired. I would use the company again and I will refer friends to their company for glass work.

Gragan Glass has done windshields and bathrooms for me before, I thought I could trust their work, but they left my brand new car (less than 3k miles) with a discolored dash. When I took it back as soon as I saw it I was told they would cover it, they then denied that anything was their fault and nothing had happened on their end when the estimate arrived. Clearly a glue-like substance was dropped on the dash and tried to be cleaned up. Even though I took it back within 10 days, mainly because I found it on a Saturday after they closed, they said it was not in a timely fashion. They are dishonest, rush their work, and do not honor what they say.

Went there early one morning after making appt. Was originally quoted $40-50 and about 45 min. I figure being there early in the morning it wouldn't take long. It ended taking just over an hour and cost $50. The crack in the windshield seemed only partially repaired, but I'm not sure if a crack can be filled in completely or not either. The staff was friendly and courteous.

A bird flew into our sliding glass door shattering it. We called several services, but none could schedule anything for days or even months. Gragin answered their phone and could see us the same day. They came out on time, fixed the glass. Very clean, very professional. All as promised with no surprises. Good work!

I have used Gragan for 5 auto windshield installs, but will not use them anymore. I prefer to support small businesses so I kept giving these guys another chance. They do not protect your car s finish they did not use fender or hood covers or masking tape to keep from scratching my paint. Every job Gragan did was banged out in 30 mins., and the results showed it. They scratched two of my cars on the roof, hood, and fenders, requiring wet sanding and rotary buffing to remove. The final straw was the last install they did for me, they did a 30 minute wipers up "stuff job", did not remove the wiper cowl covers, and instead of properly applying a urethane V bead to the cowl pinchweld, they squirted a thin wormy bead of urethane onto the bottom of the glass itself, which completely missed touching the cowl when installed. The whole bottom of the windshield was not bonded at all. Contact me for pictures of Gragan s work. When I immediately noticed the huge air leak under the glass as I drove the car home, I pulled both wiper cowls, saw the huge mess of urethane that missed the cowl from their stuff job, and saw I could stick a screwdriver right under the windshield into the interior all the way across the glass because it was not bonded to the body. I am so glad I did not let my wife ride in this car before I caught and redid the mess they made. A passenger airbag deploying against what Gragan did would have been very unsafe in a crash. I am a serious car enthusiast and this job made me so mad that I bought a professional windshield extractor, removed the windshield myself, and replaced it myself.

1-24-19I dropped of a Anderson window screen here last Thursday. I stressed to the lady at the counter (which she was very polite and curtious) that I need the same type of screen put back in. The owner happened to walk in as I was explaining what needed to be done with the screen . I told them both I did not care of what it cost me to have it replaced with the same type of screen . They assured me that they will handle it and said the screen had to be order and give them a week or so . They called shortly after a week went by and said the screen was ready to be picked up . I arrived there to get the screen , paid $25.00 , which I thought that was really cheap being he had to order this type of screen . I started to look over the screen and noticed that the screen did not have the metal track that held the screen in place , the screen was dropped off with that metal track . I told the lady at the counter that the metal track is not on the screen and that they just installed the black rubber gasket in its place , which now this was never discussed with me . I asked ro speak to the owner , he came out and I explained to him that this was not the way I bought this screen in to themHe told me that " o that metal tracks bends when taking it out and that they didn't have any metal track at the shop so we just used the rubber gasket" . I told him that was not the way I bought this screen into you guys for repair , he than told the lady at the counter to refund my $25.00 and sent me on my way. He also told me to call Anderson and have them fix the screen with the proper track ,, now I do not have the metal track because they damaged the track taking the screen out . The owner also told me that I did not mention to him that I wanted to keep the metal track , this metal track belongs with this type of screen . I did not realize I had to go to a professional place of business and tell them this type of information. I assumed the screen would come back out the shop the way it went in besides a new screen . The owner is not very customer Service savvy and my impression he can care less if I came back.or not for future work . He defintley did not care this accured and just walked out the door to the warehouse . CUSTOMER BE AWARE WHEN TAKING ANY ITEMS TO THIS PLACE , UNLESS U SPECIFY EVERY SINGLE DETAIL And get them in writing ..i

A update after picking my Anderson window screen up from this place ,,, they are quick to help you alright , but if u do not not have a little knowledge about screens or glass work than CUSTOMERS BE WARE , I dropped this screen off and told them I do not care of what it cost me to have it fixed , they quoted me 45 dollars and if they have to order the exact screen it would cost additional .. I called after a week of dropping the screen off , they called back and told me it would be another week because they had to order the correct screenI told them ok , after that week went by they called and said the screen was done , i arrived to pick it up and go to pay than they tell me all it cost was $25.00 , I knew something was not right and come to find out they did not put back the same type of screen and also damaged the track(metal ) that holds the screen in place . After speaking with the owner , which is not all that pleasant to speak with told the office staff to give me money back ... SO NOW I HAVE A SCREEN WITH A DIFFERENT TYPE OF SCREEN AND NOW THE METAL TRACK IS BROKEN,,,, , long story short here ,,,,,, they are not professionals at all and please get everything in writing because if not u will end up with a big mess ,,,, DO NOT RECOMMEND,,,, If any one is looking for a good company to re screen a window screen than call Alsco in Brandywine md ,, they are up front with from the start....
