I'm impressed with this business's integrity and the wide knowledge base of its employees. They were recommended to me for the installation of a Brake Controller for my Jeep Grand Cherokee. I felt valued as a customer from my first interaction with the very patient and helpfulJohnny, to my second visit when I met Larry the owner. He was also personable, not rushed, and accommodated me and answered all of my questions and more. Later, as promised I was accompanied to the back to speak with Brian, the mechanic working on my Jeep. It was evident that he was confident in what he was saying, so it made it easier to make decisions. And as he carefully talked and thoroughly explained my options with Larry at his side coinciding, I was thinking....Wow! How difficult is it for other companies to show their best face and sincere concern for their customers as this establishment is doing?I also appreciate Larry offering if needed, to speak to the dealership from whom I have to get additional work done.Needless to say I am without hesitation recommending this establishment and its workers.Thank you for the good work, reasonable prices, and overall great customer service!

I took my 2021 Jeep Rubicon into Trick Trucks at the 10431 Metropolitan Ave Kensington location in Maryland recently, and TALK ABOUT IMPRESSIVE! The owner, Larry, was incredibly professional, upbeat and genuinely proud of the team and reputation he has built over the last 30 years. My installer, Paul, did an amazing job installing my tricked-out fenders, taking extra care and attention not to damage anything during the process. But what really got me was the time he took to explain any unforeseen elements that the install might involve as well as some incredibly kind and helpful suggestions re: my amateur installation of my rock lights.Kudos to Alex, for his kind demeanor behind the front-desk counter, and for making me feel right at home during the entire install. (Great advice on local places to eat, btw!)Rest assured, I will be coming back again and again as I continue to have fun tricking out my ride. Thanks for everything Trick Trucks! You re 5 STARS in my book!

These folks are awesome! Know what they are doing, and are full of good advice - and they take good care of military! I work with Johnny when I go. They installed my steel bumpers, even had to do some custom work on the rear to get the tailgate to open. Also ordered an ARE cap, and Decked through them. Just the beginning of all the work they will be doing on my rig!

These squeezed me in for an appointment to install a trailer hitch. They did the job faster than they had estimated and charged me less than they told me. They were friendly and pleasant in all of my interactions with them. I recommend them without reservation.

Couldn t be more satisfied. Alex is God sent. I was looking for information on purchasing a Tanu cover for a 5.7 WB 2024 Ram 1500 with Ram boxes in the back. Alex is a professional, he assisted me and even sent me an images of what the work would look like once finished!

So I had a brand new set of cab lights on my truck that had them previously and they charged me to put them on. They also told me there is no way they could guarantee it wouldn't leak. I call them back after 3 days of purposely not washing my truck and yet again they have moisture in the lens. I had them installed on July 13th. Not even two weeks and the lights don't work. Now they want me to spend more money to fix the light they installled that leaks.

I have twice used there services to purchase and install tonneau covers for a Chevy and, recently, a Ford half ton pick up trucks. Their competitive pricing for both the product and installation, and the quality of the installation, are top notch! Further, they have always been hughly satisfying to communicate with. I highly recommend them...

This is a place you can trust. That's not something you can say about a lot of places that deal with cars, and it can absolutely be said here.I had them install trailer hitches on two different cars, and they did a very nice job both times. The first time, there was a little rattle afterward, and they took it back, pulled it apart, perhaps found something still bumping around inside somewhere, and did that all at no charge. The second time, a few weeks afterward (I don't drive the car a lot), I noticed one of the rear lights not functioning properly. I hadn't realized a connection to the trailer work, so took it to the car's regular dealer, figuring it was a warranty-covered problem with the lights. They spent a few hours pulling it apart, only to find a cable that had not been re-connected. That meant it was a problem of human error not covered by the car's warranty, and it cost me nearly $300. I told the folks at TrickTrucks about it, and without any hassle or drama, they fully covered that shop bill.So yes, they may have made a couple small mistakes, but they overall did a really nice job installing the hitches on a couple of fairly complicated cars, and both times when sometime small went wrong, they 100 percent stood behind their work.Humans can make mistakes, and people then have a choice of trying to cover it up, or being honest about it. These guys are honest about it, and I would always choose them now over anyone else.

I've had three two trucks and a Jeep done at trick trucks.... Chrome wheels, spotlights and strobes, tinted windows, suspension enhancements , offsets. I've ordered parts and always had a good experience dealing with these guys. Both for my work trucks as well as my pleasure vehicle. For a custom accessory shop their prices are commensurate to the other non-custom shops. Service is good and been going there for years now. So every time I buy another work truck from my business it goes there to get accessorized.

The entire team Trick Trucks was AMAZING, I cannot thank them enough. Long story short, U-Haul lost a part I ordered for my hitch installation, causing me to miss my installation appointment and the pickup of my trailer, 1 day before my scheduled move. I was frantically calling everywhere trying to find someone to install my hitch after the U-Haul issue and no luck anywhere until I called Trick Trucks. They were completely booked, but listened to my situation and had me bring my vehicle in and worked between scheduled appointments to get my hitch installed. They were so friendly and efficient and literally saved my move. I cannot express my gratitude enough! Thank you SO much to the entire team! HIGHLY recommend!!

I recommend them highly for service I didn't get. I needed a tow bar installed on my car, but when I went into talk with them, the guy who helped me said that Maryland requires additional items to tow a car behind an RV. They could install the tow bar, sure, but he wanted me to know all the information connected to the decision instead of just taking my money and letting me learn about the other stuff on my own. It takes an amazing amount of integrity for a small business to do something like that.

We take multiple vehicles to Trick Trucks in Kensington for any modifications to our company vehicles we may need. Getting on their schedule never took more than a few days and the customer service was always delightful. The guys there really know their stuff. We've had them install alarm systems with remote starts, fancy ladder racks, truck ladders, custom lights, storage boxes, and much more.Recently we brought them a new vehicle and they were able to fix all the little odds and ends at a good price. I highly recommend this company for any type of custom vehicle services you may need!

Went to Trick Trucks to get some new tires and rims for my Jeep. There was no hassle, they recommended the best tire for me based on what i was using my car for as well as what would fit the car best. I am not familiar with the pricing when it comes to these things but it seem fair to me. I was able to schedule my appointment on a Saturday, a week later which was perfect for me. They told me it would take 2 hours so I went ready to wait to hours for the job to be done but it was done within 1.5 hours, which was even better. When the install was done, I got a courtesy call to let me know the job was complete and if I wanted my old tires back. There was no hassle, the staff was very informational and friendly. Will definitely be going back there for my tints.

Excellent customer service and very helpful even during the pandemic. They are up front about things and work with you to make sure you get what you are looking for...I'm not sure about what the one-star reviews are about other than people who asked for the wrong thing and got what they asked for (e.g., the lifted truck). The prices are more than fair and the service exceeds expectations. These guys have been awesome in customizing my Jeep.

I am from Ontario, Canada and have never visited Trick Trucks. I have no idea of the quality of work Trick Trucks does but other reviews will speak for themselves in that regard. What I can tell you is about a guy named Larry.I had no idea where to go for a suspension lift for my very first truck (94 Dakota). Google showed me no great results in my area. However Trick Trucks showed up. I ended up calling them despite being 1000 km away and speaking with Larry. He stuck with me on the phone and helped me figure out the steps I needed to take to fix my truck, despite not having any $ coming his way from me. He simply said "get your parts and give us a call. We'll help you get through this."Honestly, makes me feel good that we have genuine people like Larry in our world. He's been around at Trick Trucks since the 80s. I don't doubt for a second that they have nearly 5 stars after 70 reviews - sounds like a great company with a great bunch of guys. Thanks again larry!

I just left the shop in Kensington where I had an appointment to upgrade my shocks. After waiting a few minutes in the showroom I was asked to walk back to my truck to see an issue I would need to address immediately. They explained the options available to me and even suggested local shops that might help prior to installing the shocks. It's good to see a business looking out for a customer.I will support this business as much as possible and recommend my friends do the same.

Great service with experienced technicians. Got my Jeep Wrangler lifted 4.5 with 37 Nitto tires. Very pleased and happy with the professionalism Trick Trucks has showed. I recommend everyone looking for aftermarket accessories to go here, as they ve been in the business since 1974.

Thankyou everyone at trick trucks from Johnny and Larry and the super awesome guy that put in a fulls day worth of work putting on a awesome ARB bumper for me please forgive me I forgot your name I was truly impressed with this shop everyone s like family great customer service loyal customer base. If you got a truck a Jeep or a SUV and you want to just give it a boost this is the place they do it all lifts, bumpers, tint, hitches wheels, tire. I mean everything this is the only place to get the job done right! I mean they will make your car look GREAT. I got some tips for you these are pros they know what there doing and they know what there talking about so listen to them. Some parts they can get in 24 hours and some parts can take time due to covid 19 supply chains are slow. So call them or stop by tell them what you want they will deliver and I promise you they are they best price in town trust me I know. And there busy so if they tell you there next appointment is 2 to 3 weeks out book it reserve your spot. It s so great to see businesses like this surviving after all we been thru as a country with covid 19 and all these sad stories of businesses closing and people losing jobs. We as a people need to support businesses like this more. The reason why there still going strong is they provide great customer, great work. Oh last tip drop your car off early they open at 9am sharp and just leave it call them in the afternoon they will let you know when to pick it up. But if you want to wait there if you ask politely they might give you the WiFi passcode so you can get some work done.

Had a great experience getting new wheels and tires. I am always a bit worried bringing my 20+ year old jeep to a new shop, but I really liked the staff and will definitely have them in mind for my '11 jeep when it is time to customize it and give it a lift and tires.

I am currently getting my 3rd work rig outfitted there. Larry was there for the 1st one i got modified 20 years ago! Each time he gave me confidence my rig would be done right, and each time I was a happy carpenter bee for as long as my vehicle lasted. This place takes care of working men like me.

I had a great experience with everyone that worked there, but especially Larry. He found the 3 specialty tires that I was looking for and had them at the shop the next day. After our crew showed up and I found out they were wrong tires... He took time to find the right ones for me and refunded the appropriate amount. Thank you so much ~Albi

Ever since i was a kid i wanted to be able to own a truck and go to trick trucks. Driving on the highway as a kid and seeing the name Trick Trucks was a dream to go there. UNTIL I DID. Took my 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe there to ve lifted 6 inches. I use to have a lifted jeep so i asked them will it drive just as good? And there reply was some clients say it drives better. SO $7,500 Dollars later and im so disappointed. Im scared to drive my Tahoe on the highway. It feels like its gonna flip over and handling is horrible. My brakes feel really weak and there brand new. I honestly just want to get Rid and sell my truck but the few people that drove it says the samething. You need to take it back something is definitely wrong. So i did and they keep saying everything is ok. Like i dont know how my truck is suppose to drive. They said thats how a lifted truck is suppose to feel. No its not i had plenty of people drive it and everyone keeps saying something is wrong. VERY DISAPPOINTED

I went to trick trucks to get custom bumpers and flares installed on my vehicle. I also bought lighting for front and rear of truck. Bill over 4 grand. Experienced all kinds of difficulty getting things on right and as I was paying the counter geek talked trash about my truck. Now I can debate the merits of most trucks but when I asked what HE drove, the answer was a Mitsubishi car. Not happy with the fit or finish and had to listen to smack to boot!I just spent another 8500, axle, lockers, on board compressor, etc. etc. I did not spend it at trick trucks, when I do my Clayton long arm kit, put my D60 axle, all this work will go elsewhere and I make it a point to send all I know away from this place.

I wasted time since took off from work to leave car at this place for two days. Then they called me stating the spring kit was not compatible despite the catalog proving he had no idea. Took it to Arlington Motocar Service- they placed it without any problem

Mark of National Glass Tint @Trick Trucks is a top notch installer, a good guy. Explained the different tint options. He maneuvered my large truck in the bay like a greased wheel on ice, an Ace!
