My car didn t start, so I went to this store. Kenneth treated me very well and did a free battery test as soon as possible and said the battery was fine and did not need to be replaced. I can trust them now and I think trust is the first word for a deal. I will definitely visit this store in the future.

The employees are incredibly rude. Service is awful. They just cracked my windshield and blamed it on me. I am at a loss of words.

I had a great experience today when I tried to buy a new rear wiper blade for my car. I was not sure if I was purchasing the right one and asked the young cashier. He looked up the right one for my car and found me the correct one. I paid for it and went to change it myself and did not know how to do it right. I walked back in the store for help and the young guy for guidance. He was helping another customer and Omar was available so he asked him to assist me. He came out of the store to my car and replaced it in a matter of minutes. I really appreciated the help and awesome customer service from both men. Omar refused the tip I tried to give him, so I wanted everyone know the great service I received at this location. Thank you!

Went to get battery tested but they have no battery tester for at least 3 days. Went to Walmart instead.

Asked the manager to see if he would help me put on my license plate covers since they were bolted on. Did not help whatsoever and told me to go to Jiffy Lube(which I did not because I wasn't going to go pay someone to take off the bolts so I could put on my license plates. The last time I went to this establishment was in Michigan and they were very helpful. Sad to say it about this place since I usually have very good luck but if this keeps happening, I won't be returning.

I ordered an engine for my truck on 11/9. It was supposed to be there on 11/25 but it didn't arrive until 12/5. Be prepared for inexperienced service & increased prices.

Julian was swift and professional as I entered the auto parts store. He quickly and accurately recommended the perfect product and installed it within minutes! Nathan the manager of this place is a rude and spoiled person , zero customer service.I buy some Frebreze air car products at 4.99 wich is what indicated on the shelf but they charge me 6.29.I tell them that the price on the shelf is 4.99 and he tells me that the price is wrong and he changes it in front of me and tells me that if I ant it ican take it for what it cost now . I told him to give back three diferent because I wanted the product and he did not want it. Either you pay the price or youreturn it .Never back to this store and I recommend asking for the prices before paying because they charge more there

Staff member told me the wrong part for my car. I came back to exchange it and they then told me it's my fault for not knowing what I was looking for. What a joke. Why would I ask for help if I knew what I needed? Then says they won't help me find a match. I got mad told the staff member to get better at their job and left. I know I shouldn't have been rude but I don't understand why I couldn't be given help.**EDIT: I appreciate the response but this is the third time I've had issues here. I won't be returning.**

They have the best selection of any auto parts store in the Rockville area. Employees are generally kind, knowledgeable and helpful if you need anything or have any questions. I detail cars and this is the first place I ll stop if I need to pick something up last minute. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great selection of supplies and chemicals for detailing and car cleaning.

The team at this store most always provide attentive service and expertise and sometimes against seemingly insurmountable odds. There are signs all over the front windows offering free battery checks, wiper blade installations, engine light checks, etc. and many customers take advantage of (sometimes demand) these generous offers putting immense pressure on the clerks especially when only one or two people are staffing the store. In all of the years that I have gone here, despite that pressure, I have been treated with respect by professional and considerate staff. Frankly, I don't know how they manage but I love my brick and mortar Advance and the folks who work there. You are appreciated.

For the most part service is good, I would give a rate of 2.5 over 5, most of the staff members I have dealt with are very polite, helpful and honest about their knowledge.I visit this store very often so I have also witness different interactions, like mention before, most of the staff is amazing, except for the one who claims is the "manager" of the store I think his name is Jose Luis, large person with a long beard, he is very abrasive, rude and not helpful at all, I would recommend if the company can send him on a training on customer service or something like that. Many times I have witness his "customer service" in play against other customers and make simple situations even worse and very frustrating for everyone involved.Besides all that the store and other staff are great on what they do!!!

I came to this AAP branch to purchase a new 12 volt car battery. David, the assistant manager, greeted me as soon as I approached the cashier. I told him what I was looking for, and he went inside to look for the battery. He came out a couple minutes later with the requested battery, rang me up and went ahead to install the new battery. Very happy with the experience and service.

Find out what's on sale before your visit or order online with in-store pick up for the most savings. Plenty of parking and easy to get in and out quickly. The staff is helpful and respectful of your time. You might not see someone standing at the register, but when they notice you are ready to check out there will be someone there to check you out immediately. I go often.

Luca was the single best person in this shop. The other employee told me they don t install batteries after 4pm and my car was dead in the parking lot. Luca stepped up to me and said he d take car of it no problem. He said he knew what it was like to be stranded and that it s a terrible feeling, he s right. In 10-15 minutes he had it replaced and we just chatted the whole time. This store is really out of my way to get to but I ll be coming back here again just because of him. This man deserves a promotion and a raise!

I decided to return an item a day after I purchased and Megale, a Manager for this store, didn't want to refund my money back even if I showed him the debit card transaction history from my account. The Item is sealed, brand new and unopened. He checked and looked at it. He scanned the item and told me this item was gone from this store a week ago.How do you lack source of truth to find out the history of the sales data for the item you hv sold one day ago from your store?? Why you lie?I have to go back and look for the receipt b/c he denied my refund. However, am local and goes to this store frequently and this is my first time to witness lack of curtousy, poor customer service and professionalism.

Horrible service, waited in line for 12 minutes with 4 employees working. 1 busy with customer, 1 doing nothing and 1 went on break even though she saw me waiting right in front of her with only 3 items in my hand. 20 seconds it would have taken her to ring me up, but screw it, right? I guess I don't rate that $7.50 an hour employee A-1 service.. Get your stuff together, you should take pride in anything and everything you do, even if you're flipping burgers at mickey D's, it's your reputation, earn it.

I have visited this store a few times now and have been satisfied by the service here. They do have most items in stock for items that I am looking for.I am a novice when it comes to knowing what parts to buy for my vehicles. This store does have easy guides for picking parts like wipers and bulbs tomy vehicles. The staff is also able to help look these up if needed.Checkout process is also convenient with cash registers at the back and the front of the store.Compared to other auto parts store, I have had better experience here than at other places.

I've had better experiences talking to a wall than going into this store. If you are looking for a product, or needing to be rung up good luck. They are rude and not attentive. Have no concept of taking care of a customer.

they will install windshield wipers and batteries for free which is worth the five star rating. The nice thing is if your battery doesn't make the whole guarantee time they will pro rate the cost. Give them your email and they will send coupons that make the price close to internet.

Forget about service. They have no idea about their own store. Nobody acts like they want the job and it shows. Disorganized, uninformed & impolite. No work ethics. Shameful.

Store is tiny and stocked very poorly. Walked in and asked for some help with paint trimmers. The older employee waved me off to an aisle and proceeded to help the customer after me....this gentleman had no problem showing the next customer where their items were and going over all of the options for her issue. Just rude. Don't come here for any advice or help.

Great customer service experience with Ivan. We needed to replace our car battery, so we called ahead to make sure they had the right battery. The person on the phone listed three different batteries available, and explained that they also install the new battery for free and recycle the old battery (they charge a "core fee" for the new battery but do not charge that fee if you turn in your old battery). When we arrived, Ivan was quick to help me to check out. While changing our battery in the parking lot, he explained what he was doing and why, and was conversational and pleasant. He went the extra mile, cleaning our terminals, adding some corrosion prevention goop, and even being careful to balance the tension as he was tightening the screws instead of cranking them in one at a time. It would have been easy for him to be brusk, careless, or rushed, since the store was so busy at that moment, but he clearly cared about doing this job right.

Poor quality tools meet poor store management. "Performance Tool" joint boot clamp (11957869) hardly performs. The metal is so thin it twists and bends before the clamp does. Tool vs the clamp, the clamp won.Next I take the tool to the store and while the employee was helpful, the manager (short guy, forgot his name) showed up and canceled the return process, pointing the fine print on the wall that let's them decline returns on bad products. He offered a replacement with another bad quality thin-metal tool, and they don't even have in stock!I later took it to another Advanced Auto Parts and they took it back with no issues whatsoever. Regrettably I still need clamp the boot and a good tool to do that.

Vic treated me like a VIP and made my experience here absolutely above expectations. I was in and out super fast with exactly what I needed, and Vic even installed my parts for me. Incredible! I wish there was a Vic everywhere I went.

Yes they take used oil for recyclingNot a fan. VERY small, poor selection of even simple things like oil and coolants, store is usually backed up, staff not knowledgeable and looks miserable to be there regularly, they've given me the wrong parts even when I've provided part numbers (shame on me for not double checking) weekends parking frequently is on the further side. Over all its convenient, been doing my own car work for years, lived in 13 cities in the past 10 and this may be the worst location I've used. They are one of the only places in the area and there for unavoidable. ..if you can help it, just order from someone like pelican

Good location. Easy to locate the parts I needed. I also must commend the man who helped me. He was sick, at work, and installed my part in the RAIN!! Other worker was installing in the rain also. Will definitely come back.
