Laid back yet professional. Al and Ron know their stuff. Trust them to check your vehicle for safety and efficiency like my wife, daughter and I have been for some 10 years. Don't go near a dealer. A&R don't "upsell".

Al and Ron are the most trustworthy mechanics I have ever dealt with. As a female, this industry can be hard to find honesty. These guys will always be honest with fair pricing, and will never hype up the repairs. I trust them with all my vehicles and send friends and family here. I won t go to another mechanic again. They know what they re doing. I'm not biased in anyway, I've been to a lot of mechanics... but let me tell you, these guys REALLY take care of you and your vehicles here. My wife and I come here all the time and Al and Ronnie always take very good care of us and always help us to the best of their abilities. Not to mention, they beat out all of the other guys prices too. Very honest people, not like many other mechanics we've been to that are just looking for a quick buck. They are more worried about keeping you happy. They treat us like family. We've been coming here for years, we own 3 cars and take each one here. Even our older cars, always came here. Would never recommend any other shop. Stop wasting time with other mechanics!

I called last minute (we were heading out of town) to get new brakes/rotors and an oil change and they were able to fit me in. Less expensive than the dealership but the quality of work is fantastic! While working on my vehicle he also mentioned a few other issues that need taking care of but never pressured me in any way and broke down the price for me so I would be able to do it in stages since I didn t have the money to do it all right then. Extremely nice, pleasant, no-nonsense, guys. Great place to take your vehicles!Services: Brakes, Oil change

I appreciate Al so much he lets me watch the repairs he s doing so I can learn more about how my car works, and he answers my questions even when they re stupid (and never makes me FEEL stupid for asking). Have worked with Ron many times over the past 15 years. We worked with them originally when we lived in the Columbia MD area and continue to avail ourselves of their services even since we moved down to the Silver Spring area. We originally met Ron (he s the R in A & R) when one of our Buyers bought Ron s home in Columbia and our Buyer later referred us to him as an auto mechanic. Try him, you ll like him!

My dad recommended this repair shop to me after I was quoted an insane price to have rotors and pads replaced by the Ford service center. I saved over $500 by having my car repaired by A&R and ordering the parts myself. The job was done quickly with no issues. I will definitely bring my cars back in the future!

Amazing and helpful mechanics! I have been taking my car here for a few years. They always give me a fair price. Al and Ron are extremely honest and helpful. They have taken the time to explain all my options with repairing my car and have never tried to sell me on things I don't need. I can't say enough great things.

Honest, straight forward. Good explanations. Was able to work on my VW. They showed me the parts they replaced for the repairs. They worked to keep costs down and were very good at giving me updates as the repairs progressed. They did not condescend to me as a woman. I highly recommend A&R Automotive, especially if you are a woman and want quality repair and assessment of problems at a fair and reasonable price.

Ron & Al are the best, and most courteous mechanic team I've ever found. They've kept my 2002 Camry running smoothly for several years. They listen to all my issues, and always consult me before they proceed with the work. They take their time to get the right fix done right, and I've never had a need for a "bring back".

A friend recommended Ron and A&R Automotive and I think Inhave found my new mechanics! I needed brakes real bad and I couldn t wait a week to get into my usual dealership. Ron test drove the vehicle and made some great suggestions. I felt like I was being taken care of and not being sold anything. He called me at the end of the day as he said he would and updated me. Communication is very important to me and apparantly so for A&R as well. I will be back for all my scheduled maintenance and repairs. You have a customer for life!

This is a very wonderful and trustworthy auto shop that helped me with some problems I was having with my car. They were so nice, quick and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this place to anyone in need of auto repair services!

Great small auto repair, Ron is one of the best mechanics I have ever met, straight forward and treats everybody very well, not your typical shop that tries to sell you on stuff you dont need, very happy with my service

Al and Ron are professional and fair. Came to them four years ago and still come back for any major repairs to my vehicle. They do both domestic and import vehicles. I called around other garages and they were a couple hundred dollars less.
