I have ordered parts and whole engines from Jacks in the past but this time it was different. I ordered a chain saw part and I got a part that will not install on this chain saw. Easy call right - just return it!That s how it used to be, now, not so much.First I used their email link, included pictures of their invoice and pictures of the old part and the one they sent me. I did that twice over two weeks and still have never received a response.Then I called and spoke to a man who seemed as if I was bothering him. He said he had no idea what ..they were doing with e-mail, calling is a better idea! He then asked for a part number and we agreed I would call back when I had that number. I only had the part number not the number for the chainsaw itself.Today I called again and I got a woman who from the get go seemed irritated I had called. I ignored that and gave her the information from the shipping document they sent me. She said none of those numbers were correct and then told me I verbally gave her the wrong numbers. Could be true so I ignored the attitude again. Then she asked for a part number and I read it off the sticker on the chain saw. She told me that is not a part number so she could not help me. I gave her the part number from the part and she told me that was wrong and that part numbers were not put on the parts themselves. She could not find the parts schematic unless I got the engine part number. Then she said I could ship it back, pay for the shipping, and when I got a part number she could use I could reorder.I agreed, and I will ship it back, I just will not order from them again.At one point I told her there seemed to be an attitude at Jacks that had not been there before. She elected to argue with me and say it was not attitude, it was the delay in the phone.I have trained a lot of phone and sales people and I speak to service people on the phone every day - Jack s phone people, men and women, must be very unhappy because they display a definite attitude and it s not the phone.

Ordered a Mini Split through Amazon and this was the 3rd party seller. Item arrived, boxes were together with packing straps, and the boxer looked great. After the addition was complete the boxes were opened and I found missing parts and a damaged unit. Called Jacks, was told to contact Amazon. Jacks reply was it was over 30 days, its not their issue. This unit was ordered by someone else and returned. How do I know, the paperwork was left in the box. This unit was not looked at prior to shipping out to my residence, the packing on the inside the box was half gone and the rest was just busted up. There was no quality control at all. Very poor way to run a business, customer care is out the window with this company. I have many photographs to prove my point. I never wanted a refund, all I wanted was it to be replaced. Now I am out almost a thousand dollars and needing to purchase another unit. VERY POOR QUALITY CONTROL AND WHEN DID THE CUSTOMER BECOME LAST.......Greed is what has happened to this Country.......

Disappointed in shipping time. I ordered some parts Wed April 28th, hoping I would have them by the weekend. They did not ship until Monday Mar 4 and I received them on the 5th. I could have ordered the same part from Amazon and had free shipping and had the parts the same time frame.I have dealt with Jacks in the past and always had good service but the last few times the wait for shipping has been unacceptable. They are only an hours drive from me so I would expect to get things fast.One more experience like this and they will probably lose a customer :(

Bought a Gravely ZT/HD from Jacks, and Jess was so knowledgeable and helpful with selecting the one that was right for me and my wife. It was delivered with a warped belt (from the factory not installed by Jacks) and when I went to use it the first time today the belt flew off the pulleys and I called them and the service manager came out same day to replace the belt and I was off to mowing without any fuss. Talk about all around good service! Thanks guys love the zero turn.

I wouldn't buy online from them. Bought a gearbox more than a month ago because the website said it had it on stock. Left email with no response, so I had to call and wait 30 minutes to hear that the order was lost on the supplier side and it would take another 2 weeks to get it shipped.They didn't offer any discount or anything so I cancelled the order. Won't be doing business with them going forward.

Sept 2023 placed 300$ part order. Told it was on back order.fine. Oct 8 got email stating 1 of the 2 parts was there on holding to b shipped together. First of November an hadn't received so I ask where it was, apparently no one signed it in at warehouse they would send out.i got it 4 days. Only one part. I called again because invoice said original part was on back order, after email in oct. Ijust said refund for theFirst part.never again1bpart was needed. Received in acct within 3 days. First and last time to order

Do not buy from these people; they might scam you by using deceiving business practices.They seem not to take responsibility for selling used products and charge for them as if they were new ones.My story:They had a microwave transformer I needed. I wanted to make sure it was new, so I asked first, and only then did I buy it.First problem: they said it was out of stock, they had to wait for their order arrival from the manufacturer. I swallowed it and decided to wait.Second and most important: they sent me an old, used, and damaged transformer, even when they charged me for a new one.When the technician I hired to repair the microwave came to install the transformer, he opened the box and immediately noticed it was used and damaged, but I decided to install it anyway so that I did not have to pay him for an additional visit.When I complain to the company, they told me Our only option would be to return and refund or return and replace. It means I would have to pay the technician twice as much to uninstall and install it again.They finally decided to refund me with $30, so I ended up paying $102.97 taxes included, for a used transformer I could have bought for $49.99 plus taxes in ebay.They told me this: "This part came directly from the manufacturer as is. Once you noticed it wasnt to your liking you should have called us before installing it" to what I say that if it was true, they, as the buyers from the manufacturer should have checked that the product was really new.

Place has changed a great deal, nothing like it use to be, not a good thing! Forever on phone, prices are triple to quadruple. Customer service has greatly got worse now.

Don t buy anything from these people. I spent over $1400 on a new Honda generator and today it arrived. No original box, just a floor model thrown in an oversized flimsy cardboard box with no padding or protection at all. Of course it arrived battered and cracked. Never again. These people have no business selling anything, let alone on Amazon.

Placed my order for In Stock parts on a Friday. Paid for express shipping. Followed up on Monday afternoon to ask why my order has not shipped. I was told to give them a couple of days. Again, these parts are In Stock. Followed up on Wednesday and was told my order will ship on Friday at the earliest. Canceled my order and placed an order with PartsTree. They don't care whatsoever that you are waiting for something and paid for express shipping. Don't waste your time with Jacks Small Engines. They should be renamed to Jacks Eternal Waiting.

Bought some parts from them online, one of the parts ended up on backorder from the manufacturer. I contacted them via email and asked if they would ship what they had. They quickly responded and shipped what they had to me. Additionally they are the only company that I could find that had all of the parts I needed in their system. Thanks a bunch y'all.

I ordered a replacement belt for my snow thrower from Amazon. All information indicated that it was an exact fit....WRONG! I then did what I should have done first; ordered the exact Ariens part from Jacks. This was a perfect fit, plus FAST shipping. Thank you; lesson learned!

We bought a generator from Jack's and had it shipped across the country. The pallet came damaged and the box was severely damaged. The generator is scratched and banged up too. The spark plug cap is completely broken in half. I have called four times and sent three emails. The only response over a two week period is an email "looks like just the box is damaged which happens often in transit without any damage to the unit itself?" I have responded that it's damaged beyond that and we didn't sign for it on delivery. It was left for us by the shipping company. I am beyond disappointed with how I have been left as a customer on this. Someone calling me back or talking to me would have gone so far with this. The hypocrisy is when you call in the message says, "We believe after the sale it's the service that counts." Here I am just left hanging.....

I bought a new Zero Turn Mower for over $3000.00 and when I received the mower it was damaged I believe it was dropped before getting it here either by Jacks Small Engines or TFORCE Freight Service. I paid for lift gait services and for it to be delivered to my house. I received neither. I had to go to town to pickup the mower up. Which is 22 miles to get to town. Because I live in a ghost town. Instead of replacing the mower with a new one they want me to take it to get it fixed. If I wanted a used mower. I would have bought a used mower. If you have to get it fixed upon receiving something it s not new.. Also if you pay over $3000.00. A person should get their new mower. So I will not take it to get it fixed. The mowers control panel has been hammered on. The deck is crooked, The right transmission is locked up, So the right tire will not move. It has scratches all over it,The right arm takes two hands to shift gears. Which you have to have both hands on each arm to stop. and the seal on the arm is warped. I will not use their company again.

Edit- picked up mower in late September 2023. Unfortunately Jack's had the mower for the majority of the season. From my understanding, it was a manufacturer issue with supplying parts, not Jacks. From other parts needed from manufacturer, this seems legitimate. Changing star rating because Service Manager was helpful through out the process. Talked to the master tech at pick up and sounded like repair was a nightmare, so I appreciate them keeping on it. So far, repair has been holding. Other issues with front desk from past still stand, but I have not had any real interaction with them since the first rating. Service Manager did mention a turn over of management and is hopeful that things get better.Have had nothing but issues. Simplicity Broadmoor I bought came delivered damaged and looked like someone tried to glue the piece back on. I had asked about a weed eater attachment and to only be told that after 6 weeks no one ever got in touch with the manufacturer to order it, canceled that order. Service tried to get me to agree to a $400(ish) tune up I didn't ask for when I brought in my mower for a warrenty repair and can not give me a straight answer or even try to be sympathetic to a second potential warranty repair. Thier phone hold message states that they pride themselves on customer service after the sale, but I guess they don't call themselves very often to know that. And they sell their motor oil for almost double what it would cost if I tried to pump it out of the ground myself!

I ordered an a SIMPSON 60688 Aluminum 4200 PSI from JacksSmallEngine parts. The first unit arrived at a FedEx facility and they would not deliver it to me because they said the box was severely damaged and full of oil. Fedex shipped it back and I had to call jacks several times to get another one shipped. I received it yesterday (my wife said it looked like a gorilla packed it) and this time I took a video of the box and unboxing. The fuel tank, and the air filter housing was completely smashed in. I did not bother to unpack it further. Given all the other comments I have read, it appears Jacks has no idea how to ship products so unless you are going directly to a store I wouldn't buy it from there. I'm very disappointed and wasted weeks of my time just following up. I wanted to give a small business a shot, but I ended up ordering it from Lowes.

Previously had decent service with the exception of some unexpected backorders. I recently asked a question about a part they sell using their email inquiry. Their photo and description was not the same as other websites and I wanted to be sure what I would get rather than pay for shipping, wait, and then possibly have to return. After three days I received a response that they are overwhelmed and cannot answer specific questions. Please restore your service to maintain repeat customers.

I decided to give a small business a chance at earning my parts business. I unfortunately was very disappointed. When browsing parts, the site shows as "in stock". Later it was revealed that they would have to order and then ship.When I completed my order, the website showed a message indicating that orders received after 3 pm would ship the next business day. After 3 business days, I tried to cancel and was told that it was in the "shipping process" and could not be cancelled. 2 business days later, I advised again that I wanted the order cancelled. I was emailed back saying they would send and email to the warehouse, but no guarantee.Very poor shipping and customer service from a site that could be great.

Ordered several items for my older saws, few were on order from vendor. I later requested delivery for parts on hand, and I would wait for the rest. One month later and I am still awaiting my backorder parts. One of the parts was dropped off my invoice sheet with no explanation. I sent an email asking what happened, still no response after 2 business days. I will avoid this vendor for future purchases, would rather my money stay with the local guys.Update: they finally replied to my email at 3:29pm on a Saturday before the holiday weekend. Stated the part was dropped because it was probably on back order or unavailable. For future reference, keep your customers informed. Awful service. I could have ordered that part a month ago through another vendor.

Fantastic service, made an overseas order, all of the parts I ordered came, albeit delayed though I was notified of this delay (on order from the manufacturer) but everything was sent, all genuine parts the only thing I got wrong was paint colour though that's my fault, if your buying newer Toro parts the paint is most likely called "Toro new red" anyway I seen the bad reviews and were quite cautious but I have nothing to complain about! Will probably use them again

Ordered a new control handle for our older dishwasher which otherwise works perfectly. It took awhile but worth the wait. Handle works perfectly. Jack's kept us updated on progress. So instead of being forced to buy a new dishwasher, we were able to save $$$ and retain use of an appliance that serves us well.

After trying to acquire a Honda 928ATD 28" track drive two-stage snowblower from local distributors by ordering early in the summer I was recently informed they could not fulfill the order until 2023 or later. I came across Jack's and saw that they were the only place that had the snowblower in stock, as they received a shipment ordered quite some time ago after double checking it was in stock on the phone. I was a bit hesitant after reading all of the negative reviews of damaged shipments, but decided to proceed. I ordered on Friday 9/30/22 and it arrived at my house exactly one week later. The snowblower was factory packed and arrived in perfect condition as the photos show. The Old Dominion freight delivery driver brought it into my garage. Can't wait to put it to use.

I tried to order an extension for my Husqvarna pruner online. I successfully placed the order and the next day I got an email indicating that I had to call the seller regarding the order because they needed additional information. In under an hour I replied to the email with the model number of my pruner. My email received no response.When the part did not come, I called their customer service number. I was placed on hold for 20 minutes. The CSR then told me that my order was cancelled because I failed to respond to their email--not true--and that they needed to place a $2 "ghost" charge on my debit card and get a copy of my driver's license in order for me to be able to order from them.Needless to say, I can buy parts elsewhere. These guys waste your time and scam you for additional money. Shop elsewhere.

Ordered a pressure washer through Jack's. After 17 straight days of being told that it would ship from a warehouse in Wisconsin (I'm in Minnesota) within 72 hours, I canceled the order both verbally and via email. Despite that fact, it shipped (from Texas) two days later (day 19). I had to refuse shipment and now I am waiting for my money back.If you're willing to wait for 20 minutes on hold, their Customer Service reps were friendly and appeared to be trying. However, they are either lying or unable to access the truth. This whole experience was the most frustrating and disappointing of any online purchase I have made. I definitely do NOT recommend this company.

ordered a part for a 54 in husqvarna deck on 15 July 23, they charged my credit card 0n 16 July 23. Jacks have emailed me on 3 different time the part is not availability from the manufactured. My fault should have read the reviews before dealing with JACKS. Have contacted the county attorney where they reside in Md.

Their online part store is the absolute worst. They have no idea what they are doing or if they have the parts they claim they do. Be ready to wait MONTHS only to find out they can t actually get the item they claimed was in stock. Do yourself a favor and order ANYWHERE BUT HERE!

I ordered parts in June. I received 6 parts. Two were correct, 4 were not. I let them know and they re-ordered my parts. It's now Aug. 1st and they're telling me it may be 2-4 more weeks. Horrible experience. Not to mention you're on hold for minimum of 30 minutes every time you call. Whatever you do, don't order anything from them you need quickly.

I purchased (tried to) some replacement parts for my miter saw stand. Apparently they did not have the parts in stock so they needed to order them so I could get them, which would take a few weeks. I found this out the day after ordering. They charged my card immediately, not waiting until after they even had the parts. They did resolve the issued a refund, which takes a few days, odd, I can get charged same day but not refunded. Oh well. Customer service was smooth and it all worked out in the long run. If they would of said they would have the parts shipped directly to me from manufacturer I would of probable done it that way, but was not offered. Though 3 stars was fair, not bad, but could have been good.
