Had an amazing experience with Eric and John. They were both very nice, knowledgeable and most importantly honest. They saved me a lot money by telling me where I could get a part much cheaper and helped solved my problem quick. Definitely going back to them in the future.

I came here to get my car inspected for the first time in MD. I had heard the horror stories of MD state inspections and how there are some predatory businesses but Car Doc was none of that! They were honest reliable and kind. I got my vehicle inspection completed in less time than originally quoted. I really appreciate their fast and great service!

I am new in town so I wanted to hear what was the common recommendation for local mechanics and Car Doc kept getting good reviews. I tried a shop on the military base since I work close to them but that was a disaster.Stopped at Car Doc for a new vehicle inspection and as a result found a couple of issues (one was new to me and I knew about the other).Car Doc took care of me, took care of my truck and was great to work with.I will continue to take my truck here. Thanks Car Doc!

I took my car to car doc for a MD state inspection. Car initially failed, it s a used car so not a problem. I took the inspection report ordered the parts that required replacing according to THEIR inspector and inspection report. In between the time it took me to replace the parts and get them ordered it took a little over 30 days. So the car would need a new inspection ok no problem. BUT the car has been parked for 30 days since the previous inspection. (No additional wear and tear) So I took the car back and to car doc after repairing everything on the inspection they initially gave me besides an exhaust issue which expected them to repair. Again not a problem.However, to my surprise I get a call from John and Eric telling me that in 30 miles of driving, the bearings are bad, driver side mirror is broken.?! I asked how / why this wasn t caught on the initial MD inspection. The response I repeatedly got was well that was over 30 days ago a baseless argument considering the car had only been driven 30 miles since the last visit with them.I continued to push the issue with them when Eric informed me he fired that inspector after he did my inspection. Whether the firing was related to my vehicle or not is unclear, but the guy who performed my inspection was bad enough that someone let him go.So I paid for a half done, MD inspection initially for the sole purpose to find the issues with the car only to later find additional issues that they were supposed to catch during MD inspection.Oh btw they also failed the car in the previous inspection for low power steering fluid, and brake peddle pad, not breaks, not rotors the actual foot pad that s on the brake peddle. They also charged me 80 bucks for oil change on 4 banger focus.I ve come to this place off and on for years and this was the absolute most disappointing failure of a mechanic place I ve ever experienced. They did not used to be like that. After years of referring people to them and referring company cars to them I m done.Update to Cardoc response: I took the same car down the street to Goss Garage and it passed immediately with zero issues! Literally zero! No extra work or bearings and side mirror issues they claimed I had it passed the first time.

I literally don't go anywhere else to get my car fixed. They're probably very intimately familiar with my car at this point and I've gotten everything done from new motor mounts to repairing axles, from brakes and rotors to tune ups and radiators. They're so good, you have to get there when they open to even get service since the queue fills up so fast. Honest, good work from them. Eric is a great and honest guy himself.

Visited Car Doc after a couple of recommendations from others. Eric was professional, communicative, and honest. Above all, he is patient. He was able to explain my car s issues and recommend repairs in a way that I could understand. He answered all of my questions and never made me feel like a burden. Everyone I ve spoken to says the price I paid for my repair was extremely fair. I used their drop-off envelope system which was very easy and my repairs were completed in less than 8 hours. I ve never felt like I could handle my own vehicle repair conversations alone until now. I absolutely recommend Car Doc!!

Between me and my wife we have brought our vehicles to Car Doc multiple times now and they have been great. Getting work done on a car usually isnt a cheap thing but you can rest assured that you are getting a very reasonable and fair price at Car Doc and they will do a great job diagnosing the issue. Not only that but I have heard it from my coworker and my wife also heard it from her coworker that Car Doc had the best price when they called around for pricing for repairs to their vehicles, which is what led us to try them.Services: Exhaust, Air conditioning, Auto maintenance

I've gone to Car Doc for everything from oil changes to Check Engine Light issues to a somewhat-scary instance of my engine overheating. Eric and the team there have always fixed it quickly and for very reasonable rates.In addition to the services they DO, I appreciate them for the services they DON'T. At my last maintenance check at my dealership, I was told I'd need to replace my front brake rotors within the next few months. I took the car to Car Doc and was told that my rotors were fine and my pads were less than halfway through their lifespan, and that if were their car, they'd feel safe driving it through the remainder of the year at the current brake life. No charge whatsoever from them, and I very much appreciated their honesty and ethics. Strongly recommend them all around.

Eric, was very nice and did the repairs for my vehicle in a timely manner. I came in to get my car fixed due to oil leakage, he called me about a few other issues he saw and asked me if I want them fixed and he also quoted the prices along with each extra. I needed a slip-on exhaust for my motorcycle expanded, and naturally did not have the tools to do it. I went to autozone originally to rent an exhaust expander but they didn t have the right size. I went to Cardoc on the off chance they could do something like that. Of course this isn t a normal service unless you can find a local muffler shop, but cardoc was close so I gave them a shot. Without any hesitation, cardoc agreed to help me out and it worked perfectly. Genuine business and good people. Highly recommend!Service: Exhaust

Eric has always done the best he could for us. He could have repaired an old car and charged us a few thousand. But he let us know we would be better off with a newer car and just use what he was going to charge us for our down payment. A few days later we took our other vehicle in and he was able to turn it around within 24 hours.

This place by far the best place in the area to have you car worked on. Honest, customer friendly, cost efficient and fast are the best way to describe them. Eric was very helpful explaining the problem with my car and the options I had for repairing it. I will be a long time customer for sure

I haven t gotten any service done here yet, but they were so helpful after a complete cluster of an experience at the AutoZone across the parking lot. Next time my car actually needs anything, I will be taking it here.

Great and quick service. Dropped off early in morning and all services/repairs were done before 2. Pleasant to speak with and explained repairs needed well(esp to a person who doesn't know much about cars....me). Pricing was decent. Did not feel they over charged. The manager has always been fair and honest. They are a business and need to make a living, but are honest with you.I dont give any credit to other reviews that just complain. Things can happen, but if they do give Eric a chance to correct it. He did fix something for me that had failed from the repair months previous . Took my car in for the Maryland safety inspection, and they failed it the first time because a seatbelt was broken (which was fair). I got it fixed elsewhere and brought it back for re-inspection on short notice, for no additional charge, and on a busy day at that.Very helpful, very professional, and somebody always answered the phone. Probably not the cheapest place to go, but it was definitely worth it because another place tried to rip me off and these guys did not. There's lots of crooks out there doing inspections, and these guys seem very solid. I'd consider bringing my vehicle in again if it ever needs work!

Approximately a year ago my alternator failed and was causing all kinds of issues. Eric tried to determine the problem but couldn't pinpoint it. It turned out that the alternator was under recall and he advised me to take it to the dealership to get it fixed. He didn't charge me a dime for his time or labor.I've been a returning customer for all my service needs. They do fantastic work and it's all guaranteed.

I love this place. The service is excellent and they are quick as well. I have walked in on numerous occasions for things ranging from a state inspection to oil changes and it's always in and out. Their prices are awesome and they don't try to push products or services (mostly just talking about the state inspection) and give you the truth about your vehicle (totally different from other places where they make up things wrong with your vehicle just to make some extra cash on the inspection). Keep up the great work guys!!

Took car in for a state inspection, was charged $75 for the inspection, which was fine, but was quoted $174 for a tag light housing a part that was not broken, only loose, and was quoted $150 for a rear sway bar linkage, a part that cost $30 for the best brands. The tag light housing was repaired with 2 screws, and because the job was so simple, I replaced both rear swaybars linkage for $70, which included a $10 bay fee at the Fort Meade auto skills center. To further insult me, I was charged $14.60 for Car Doc to check that the work was done because they had to put the car on a lift. They didn t put the car on the lift to discover the issue., I was told they drove the vehicle. Anyway, guys my daughter is a first year college student, with no money. The charges were inflated significantly, so it seems that you were not fair this time. It makes me wonder if the the very positive reviews are legitimate.

I just left this business , I brought in a old outback with multiple problems ,Eric the manager informed me of the potential cost of labor and material for my fix. Eric ,there mechanic spent many hours on my car ,fixing some but hit a wall with one problem . I was informed to go to a Subaru service center to identify the problem.Bad news ,,but good news I wasn t charged anything ,nothing !! His response was ,we run a honest business .I will give this business all my business ,before you go to any other local car repair just give this company a chance ,they treated me like I was there only customer .Dont be fooled by their location or store front ,inside is a honest quality car repair business. I found a 5 Star business

Husband spent over $2000 on repairs for his car, and not only did Car Doc re-install his back seat over the middle seat belt, but they also did not secure his wheel properly. All the lug nuts on the left rear tire were so loose we could easily unscrew them by hand. All of them besides the one that came off entirely. We were lucky the entire wheel didn t come off while driving.

Rats had chewed through the injector wires. Eric and Car Doc was able to get me running again in less than a day at a great price. Great owner and great business. Thanks!

Very honest guy; did not overcharge for service. Power steering was bad and he could've charged me for a whole pump, etc. He told me it was only a belt and the car runs great. They have won me over as a customer for life!

Eric was absolutely wonderful! He diagnosed the problem quickly and repaired the car in the same day! He was very efficient and competent!! My car is as good as new!! I will go to him for all my car repair needs!!

Very impressed with this shop. I took my Jetta in to have it looked at and was very happy with the communication and service provided. I never had to wonder what was going on with my vehicle or what was being done because they kept me informed. I would recommend this place to anyone and I would glady come back to Car Doc!
