Going through insurance, my vehicle was serviced at Caliber Collision. Caliber Collision subs out their alignment and balancing to Byrd Tire & Alignment. I had an issue with my vehicle and Caliber Collision told me to go to Byrd and have the work performed and they would bill my insurance. When i arrived, I told Danny Shirley, whose was the customer service representative at the front desk the reason why i was there and that Ryan from Caliber Collision should have called and notified him. Danny stated that he did not receive a call. He then called Caliber Collision to get a reference number for billing purposes. While on hold, Danny started speaking to me bad mouthing and mocking Ryan regarding his intelligence. I found that quite unprofessional and rude to be talking bad about anyone to a customer. Let alone someone that Byrd Tire & Alignment works closely with and receives a ton of business from.The work performed on my vehicle was fantastic. However, after the work was completed, Danny Shirley refused to give me a copy of my receipt for my records. As Mr. Shirley was holding the receipt for repairs in his hand, he told me if I wanted a copy of the receipt, I need to contact Caliber Collision (yes, you read that correctly). I reminded him that they are a third party vendor conducting repairs on my vehicle, which they are billing Caliber Collision that will ultimately be billed to my insurance and I wanted a copy of the repairs that were completed and the cost of the work performed and a CYA for my records. Danny Shirley outright REFUSED to provide me with a copy of the repairs that were performed on MY vehicle. Ultimately Mr. Shirley complained, and huff and puffed as I took a photo of the receipt.From my experience, the only establishments/businesses that refuse to provide written documentation of work performed are typically doing something under the table, shady or inflating the price and don't want a paper trail.Overall, I am quite happy with the work performed on my vehicle by the service technician, but having a moron at the front desk refusing to provide basic receipts for work performed makes the business as a whole look unprofessional.

Great service! They were very quick and kind when I brought in a leaking tire on my car. They were very informative and answered all my questions. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

I saw i had, what looked like, a nail in my tire right before work. I was referred to Byrd Tire by another tire place. They took me right in. Came out and told me to "play the lottery" it was very small and no leaks. They inflated all my tires and sent me on my way. The tech was very professional.

The gut didn't even want to check the air in my tires for me while I'm standing there on oxygen... he walked around the car and said everything looked fine... which it wasn't because when I went to Rentals Unlimited, they checked them and 3 needed a substantial amount of air put in.

Came with a small emergency and two gentlemen got me up and running again so I could drive back to Baltimore for more extensive repairs. Amazing customer service.

Recommend. No surprises. Ordered 4 new tires, they checked the alignment, gave me a before and after snapshot of the settings and sent me on my way. They are one of the few tire stores in the area that have the proper equipment (calibrated daily) to properly balance run flats.

Awesome service, I ve had several cars inspected, my last vehicle did not pass but I was able to get it fixed a few days later. On my second visit I was able to get my vehicle re inspected. FYI is $93 dollars for inspection and $35 for re inspection.

On two different occasions I had to have a screw removed from my front tire and a nail from my wife's tire. The technician on both jobs removed object ,balanced tire , and remounted . I was informed there was no charge!!. THIS IS GOOD SERVICE.

Dwayne is the best! Upfront and honest. Very polite. His crew has put tires on all of our cars over the years. Great location. Plenty of tire places in the area but we like going to Byrd!

Don't go to this place,is not good service,they told me to replace the 2 axels ,that it was the only issue and reason why it failed the first time,I did fix it, and few days after when I came back to reinspect it the car, it failed again ,saying then I have to fix more things ,they do this to take your money .my car after the second inspection it was making big noise ,they made a hole at the exhaust close to the engine during the inspection causing big noise ,because they not be careful when inspect your car. See the proof picture from the second test. Trust me I m not mechanic but I m not stupid,they can lie to people or women then doesn t know about cars,I know my cars and I know when someone wants to take a advantage from you. People can be gentle taking care of you giving you free coffee or treating you nice,but you have to be careful what they do to your car,and I m not only talking about this place,I m talking about any place then you go.

Made an appointment for an expired inspection for 10:30 a.m. in my company work van. Inspector called out that day,before 6:00 a.m. . Business did not call me to inform me, and wasted a scheduled day. Not very happy with their service. Plus staff seems very disgruntled and unhappy. If you look at all my reviews, you will see that I don't complain very much at all about service.

Had a car inspected there. They called and said it was ready for pickup and everything was fine. I showed up to find out that I had failed an inspection. I had asked mentioned that I worked overnights through the week and asked if I was able to pick the car up on Sat.I showed up at the designated time only to find out they were closed. This was not disclosed over the phone. Lastly, when I showed up the next day mon, the 10th of April. They claimed I failed inspection. Which would have been fine and I would have paid for the repairs. Yet, they failed to disclose this as well as have me drive an hour to a buisness that wasn't open. This is after I was very clear about dates and times. This place does very shifty work. I was told by two people not to go here and I should have listened. I hope you read this review and it helps you make a better decision than I had.

Incredible service, these guys seriously saved our lives when a wheel bearing went out on the highway on the way to the airport. We walked in and they helped us immediately, readjusting their schedule so they could replace the bearing and we could make it to our flight. Can t say enough about how kind and helpful they were thank you all SO much!

Byrd auto has excellent service and great prices. Had to get an alignment done and what was wrong with my truck the alignment would not do any good. So instead of them just doing it and taking my money I was able to reschedule and get the parts needed. Very honest company hard to find in todays world. I would recommend.

I just called in to try to get a quote for my 2002 Chevy S-10 pickup for a valve cover gasket The guy who answered the phone was very rude and said we do not do quotes over the phone , which must be new because they always have in years past. I tried to explain that I couldn t drive the truck in because of the oil leak being so bad and was just looking for a ballpark estimate before I made the 45 minute trip from PA. He then rudely yelled we do not do quotes over the phone and then hung up if that s how you guys do business, I dodged a bullet. WOW!!

I went in last week for a tire change after getting a flat. The owner Dwayne was very professional and courteous and got me in and out in a very timely manner. While I was waiting I had a lovely conversation with the woman Charlene that worked there. She was very knowledgeable and made sure I was taken care of. I will definitely be taking my business there from now on and would recommend this great family owned company for anyone in the Hagerstown area.

They are TOP NOTCH! I always take all of my vehicles too them and they always do a great job with fair and honest pricing. They're awesome to work with and they will always shoot you straight and be completely upfront and honest with you. We won't take our vehicles anywhere else, because these guys are really awesome!

I recently moved to the area and was looking for a high quality mechanic that I can trust. After reading the reviews, I chose Byrd Tire & Alignment. I've used many mechanics and companies over the years, but have never used one that was both very competent and also so honest. Byrd does great work and they are pretty quick. But they are also very honest. I've never before had a mechanic "talk me out of" having work done on my vehicle because it was unnecessary. I've since had work done on a couple of vehicles and the service is the same each time. And, Byrd won't "nickel and dime" their customers with lots of added costs like many chains will. If you are looking for a place you can get quality work done on your vehicle and also a place you can trust, this is the place to go. I highly recommend them. (And no, they did not pay me to write this review - I really AM that impressed!).

Everyone there was extremely helpful and honest. Needed a inspection on our vehicle and they were very helpful and honest. Don't find to many around like that. Prices are fair. Will be back.

The owner and manager of Byrd tire was excellent to work with. He was friendly honest and gave very fair pricing on high quality tires. His shop staff were friendly and professional. We were in and out in less than 20 minutes and back on the road with hardly any delay in our travel schedule. Glad we went to Byrd tire rather than Tires Plus across the street.

I have been a customer of Byrd Tire for years. They have always been fair and honest which to me is a huge plus. I have purchased tires from them as well as had regular service and repair work performed here. Recently I took my Subaru in to have them inspect a noise I have been hearing. As per Murphy's law, the noise was not present the day of my visit. They explained the situation and simply said to come back when its more consistent. The bill for the day, $0.00. This is also not the first time I have experienced this type of service from them. They have won my business as a customer.

I went to Bryd's today for a maryland state inspection.I called ahead of time, the customer service was very good, they scheduled an appointment promptly with me the same day , when I arrived , again ,customer service was great , Gene was very kind and welcoming , the staff did a great job ! They were very honest ! And that left a great impression on me ! I have had bad experiences with other places in town but I will definitely be coming back to Byrd simply because I believe Gene and his staff are honest and I can trust them !I would definitely recommend them.Over all great experience, and when you are stressed out about your car , having a good experience with a mechanic shop , it matters !Thank you to all of you at Byrd for helping me today.

Great and timely service. Was able to reinspect my car on the same day appointment was made. Even added little extras ( like untwisting my brake hose) with no charge. Friendly staff. Will be my regular mechanic. They even took the time to explain the alignment process to me. A true pleasure!

stopped in for some advice and a tool. Just in the time I spoke with the owner I saw several happy customers. And the owner was helpful with my issue. Ive been doing the SAMs / walmart thing for years, but am tired of the shoddy service/ products. I will definitely give Byrd a try next time.
