Never really had a problem here before but was there a few weeks ago and called to see about a part and the manager answered and seemed kind of impatient. But that s not it, when I was there waiting in a nice size line I noticed 2 young black boys that had already paid for their stuff and as they was walking out the manager yelled at them in front of everyone excuse me did you pay for your stuff. Them showing the receipt saying yes and the man who also works there that rung them up told the manager yes they paid. Even after the worker told him they paid he still made them come back in and show their receipt. Not even 1 minute later a white man walked out and the alarm goes off and he waved his receipt saying I already paid the manager said I believe you. seems pretty racist if you ask me!

I had a very pleasant experience today. My check engine light was on and Robert checked the code and it indicated a small leak in the emissions. He told me it could be as easy as the gas cap not being tight. I told him that mine doesn't click when you put it on. He indicated that the click signifies a proper seal. He didn't have the replacement in stock but called another store in the area and I was able to go there and pick it up. Thanks to the Auto Zone Team for your professionalism. You are always my first stop when I have car issues.

So, I went in one night and there was a woman I had never seen before, I go there alot, and WOW was she rude to the person on the phone as well as the guy working with her. I know this is not a normal review of the store itself but holy hell she was awfully. I said to the guy " I am so sorry that you have to work with that". I felt bad for him. NOW, the store is a typical chain auto parts place. Sometimes there is someone working that day that knows what they're talking about. For the most part, they do. I bought a starter for my 1975 MGB there, taking a chance it would work, and I went thru 4 of them before I gave up. I was smart enough to buy one with a lifetime warranty so I just returned it. After I did my own research, because no one there knew what to tell me, I found out that the shaft wasn't allowing it to line up properly AND when buying a starter or anything for an antique car, be sure the specs are right ie. torque ect.

Amanda was insanely helpful for a new-hire. I m proud to be leaving her first review. She was excited when I told her I was going to give her one for being so helpful.I believe in giving the most credit when it s due.I went in to get an item and asked if they might have something to compliment it and help my situation. She walked me to the isle and helped me try and pick out what I needed. Even though she hadn t been there long, she knew right where to go to find something to help me. I used to dislike going there, but now I ll be returning for all my immediate parts needs. TY Amanda!

Worst autozone around don t have the right parts for anything and all products are melted if you plan on doing any amp or sub work

Spoke to a rep. that checked our battery and stated he couldn't read alternator obviously because it was bad. He suggested we drove another hour to see if battery would charge because it was slightly low but good. The cable was a little loose. We did get back on the road traveling to Forest Park, OH only to have our vehicle die out infront of another parts store 5 1/2 hours from our destination. I don't recommend this store.

Excellent customer service, above and beyond. Christa and Tim went out of their way to help me and especially to ensure that I got the right bulbs for my brake light and put the bulb in for me even though it was a complicated replacement that took extra time and it was already later in the evening after what looked to me like it was a busy day. They also did so with positive and friendly attitudes. Their extra effort is much appreciated!

July 2023I'm no mechanic by any means but whenever I go into AutoZone by the Aldi grocery store off Dual Hwy in Hagerstown, they have had whatever I need. The store is always clean and well stocked. The staff is professional, friendly, and eager to help you. The prices are reasonable and average, as far as I can tell.Would I recommend shopping here? Yes.

My "go to" place for older car parts. If they don't have the part there they will do their best to get it for you. Great employees, very helpful. I had to order a part this morning and they had it in the afternoon for me. They even called my cell when the part arrived. Pretty knowledgeable staff. Shawn was a big help for me today, definitely appreciated the help

I needed a new car battery and was helped by a truly great guy. He took a look under my hood to be sure he could do the installation for me, then helped me choose the best battery in my price range. He recommended some inexpensive little felt discs to keep my battery nodules from corroding so badly and then did the installation. I respect the fact that he explained if the store was too busy, I may have to wait a few minutes for the installation - which is completely understandable. But, store traffic slowed down and he put the battery in pretty quickly for me. The store was clean and we'll organized. Great experience!

We were on the first leg of vacation and alternator went on us. The guy working was super helpful in testing the battery and checking the codes, and went as far as to call up a guy he knew who would help us at 5 pm on a Friday night so we didn t get stuck here overnight. The employee went above and beyond!

They had what I needed. Felt like cashier was a little rude because I didn't know if my car was a turbo or not. And oil was pretty high on shelf. I basically had to climb shelf to reach oil... Was never offered help to get it. I am a hit 5' tall. Top shelf/oil rack is a good 5 and a half (or taller)... But prices where fair.

That wonderful woman with the locs has helped me several times with suggestions for things and it's really been empowering to do light repairs on my own vehicle! Thank you!

I went in today with just a list and no clue as to what I was doing. James P Immediately took my list, and started looking up my items, grabbing them. He had to order a part for me which I can pick up tomorrow. He not only took the time to help me he even carried my many heavy items out to my car. If he's not already a manager he should be! He made my experience very pleasant and I will definitely be back.

This morning my car struggled turning over, so I stopped by AutoZone and asked them to test my battery. The store associate who assisted me is Jimmy; he was straight to the point, honest, and personable. Sure enough it was dead. Jimmy explained the warranty thoroughly and made sure the battery was the correct type/fit for my car. Installation was quick, easy, and very convenient; we also carried a friendly conversation as he swapped out batteries. Thank you Jimmy for your concern, patient, and help! I truly appreciate you making this a positive experience for me!!

I went in to auto One with my daughter today for oil for my car.i didn't know what oil I needed. I got in a line and was then directed to another line. When I reached the register I was told to get in a different line with a number on it?. When I reached that register I was told wait for them to help a customer behind me first. After that I decided to leave the store without my oil.Very unprofessional in these crazy times when our essential workers are supposed to be on there A Game! I will not return during the pandemic.

Sunday is always a busy day for auto parts. There were only two guys manning the store but they were moving through customers with deft precision, and what appeared at first to be a 20 minute wait was over in a flash. I've never shopped at an Auto Zone before and today was a good first impression. I wish I had more hands... so I could give this store 4 thumbs up!

Although I don't normally go to this particular store Gaba they had everything I needed and the part was attractively priced. And also happen to be in stock, so much the better! I've never been disappointed at AutoZone, that's why I keep going back. Well worth the trip. Two thumbs up.

I'm editing my review to reflect some top notch service I got on Saturday, November 2, 2019. I went to get my battery checked; it was, indeed, old and bad. Bought a nice mid-priced battery and Jimmy kindly put it in. Being a "side post" battery, he not only found that my posts were all corroded, they also wouldn't connect into the new battery right. Well, Timmy came out to check out the situation as well and together, they had me buy 2 posts - NOT "upselling" me to battery cables, thank you gentlemen! - and they installed those. They suggested I get someone to look at the cable themselves, which I did (snagging a FINE day with my son and his family in the process!) and all worked out well. Thank you guys once again!PS Yes, all the battery cable ends needed was some serious "percussive therapy" and they attach now like a champ. You guys were right!Last visit that I edited this from - an alternator check and a battery purchase for another vehicle.

My Grandmother stopped in to get new wiper blades, Jimmy came to greet her, found her blades and installed them for her. She s very pleased with the service and the kindness of the salesmen. Excellent job Jimmy, thank you for taking care of her.

The gentleman did come out from behind the counter to help me resolve an issue. I mean that's all we can really ask from these counter guys and gals is to at least try and help us. Nobody likes it when a parts person looks at you and says "I don't know I'm not a mechanic"and then not even try to help you. This store for some reason a year ago the manager was literally telling customers that that he wasn't a mechanic he just sells parts!! But I haven't heard that recently from anyone in that store. So good job on the growing pains.!!!

Needed a new battery and called to verify that they could switch it out before I left home (don't want to jump my car, then get stuck at AutoZone). Couldn't give me an answer. Specifically said he can't tell me whether they would have someone to do it or not. Asked when I could come in or could call back to verify that they could do it. Unable to say.

The Hagerstown location was the only parts store, open until 10pm, that we could limp to (near the start of an ELEVEN HOUR TRIP) with a dead alternator. Our minivan had two options for the alternator, BOTH of which were in stock, so we bought both and replaced the alternator in the parking lot. The clerks were both extremely helpful and accommodating -- I arrived 25 minutes before close, and they tossed my tired battery (dead alternator!!!) on the charger, and brought it back out to me (elbows-deep in the engine compartment) when they locked up for the night.Anyway, I managed to replace the alternator without any problems, and was back on the road less than $200 lighter in the wallet, and less than two hours behind schedule.Thank you, Kevin (Merv? Lyle? Devlin? I can't remember).

OMG, the guys at the service counter were Great!!! Nice conversation, willing to pay attention to my concerns, helped with locating a device on my car. If all your stores was like this one it would make buying car parts so much easier.
