I recently had my box truck over 10k gvwr undergo a state inspection at this repair shop and was thoroughly impressed with their professionalism and kindness. I highly recommend them if you need a state inspection for your vehicle. My only wish is that they also offered inspection service for trucks with air brakes.

I am a new resident to Maryland and was able to take care of my new tags, title, registration, and state inspection service all in one go. There was a repair needed before my car could pass the inspection, but the staff explained clearly what needed to be done and presented an itemized breakdown of costs, which was helpful. If you are a new resident, it's really handy to be able to get everything done at one place. Thanks for your service today.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes, Vehicle safety inspection, Brake service & repair, Auto maintenance

They were easy to work with and get appointments with. They did an excellent and timely job on my DOT inspection, but it was a bit on the high side.

We brought our new (to us) RV and Jeep in for Maryland Inspection. We knew the Jeep needed two new front tires. They did all the work in a timely manor. Juanita was wonderful to work with and very helpful. We would recommend using Maryland Auto and Truck Repair. Happy Campers!Service: TiresService: Tires

Let me start off by saying that noone was rude in any way, it was just a frustrating and disappointing experience since I was exhausted, but trying to get things taken care of. I was also hoping to finally get my car issues resolved in a place that seems to do good work and be trustworthy. I can't speak to the latter two because I did not end up seeking service. When you read this I am sure you'll know exactly who I am, too. I called on Friday and spoke to a woman about getting my car/brakes looked at. I had received an estimate from one place, but based on their behavior in that interaction I wanted a second opinion and quote. I would have come on the weekend, but I was told you're not open then and I could come in at 8am Monday. My first name was taken and that was it.I came in Monday/today, parked, and had started walking towards your first large sign looking for the entrance before I realized I would have to go further in and that maybe I should move the car to a different part of the lot. A gentleman came out of one of your non-customer doors at that moment and asked me if I needed help. I told him about my appointment, where I was parked and asked if I should move it. He told me no and that I can just let you know where I parked it. So I walked the rest of the way and went in.My issue is the representation of communication which, as I am already tired, did not make me want to find out how things would be going forward. Because once I got inside, I was then told I would need to pay to have the brakes looked at, although it was not mentioned when I called, and that I need to walk back across the lot (I was also carrying a heavy laptop case because I had asked over the phone about wifi while I wait since I work remotely--also why I told you I did not mind a couple of hours waiting) and move my car to your immediate parking. Again, neither of these things are the main idea or an issue in and of themselves-- the communication is. Because no one wants to spend money they weren't expecting to or have to do something they would have already done, but were told they did not have to.

Outstanding staff and management. Repair was fast and communicated. Parts ended up being defective staff was there late after close still working and took my vehicle ( I had called) but once closed not every place does what they did. They reviewed my comments and had staff inspect car. Determined it was the parts and said it was cover under warranty and fixed as fast as possible. I stress they could have replaced those defective parts and told me it was another problem and charged me again. But THEY DID NOT. They were honest and amazing. Not always expected. They all front end mechanics and managers all went above and beyond to make it right. Thank you greatly appreciated.Service: Transmission repair

The service I received was better than any shop I have been to. Not only was the staff very helpful and knowledgeable, they were able to get the parts needed and get my van back to be within 24 hours of diagnosis. Due to covid there was a slight delay but they communicated with me the entire process. They also spoke directly with my warranty people which saved me time and a headache. They were able to get me into a rental car as well. It was a very smooth process and I would recommend them to anyone. Oh, and Juanita was the BEST!Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

I had a wonderful experience at Maryland Auto and Truck. Everyone I met there has a very professional and welcoming demeanor. Jessica especially made a wonderful impression. She was very professional and at the same time upbeat and very kind. She went out of her way to answer several questions for me, some of which required her doing some research.I have truly enjoyed my experience at Maryland Auto and Truck. I will be referring people I know to them due to the wonderful way I was treated.Best Regards,Jennifer Porter

I have nothing but positive feedback for this establishment! They worked very close with me on coming up with the best solution for what my needs were. Jessica especially! I ll always do business with Maryland Auto! You have won a life long customer. Thanks for all you do!Services: Transmission, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Engine repair, Battery

Great experience here in the midst of car trouble. This was one of the places that honored my extended warranty. After running the diagnostic test, they noted that the problem was covered by the power train warranty rather than the extended warranty and advised me to take it to the Ford dealer. This honesty and the personal attention that Juanita and Jessica gave to me, even though the repairs were not done there, makes me feel very comfortable in using their services whenever they arise in the future. Customer service is so important, and this company did not disappoint! Many thanks!

I took my new boat trailer to get a Maryland inspection. I was immediately greeted, checked in and the inspector was looking at the trailer in no time. I was done in 30 minutes. No appointment needed. The service was outstanding! All other locations that I called were booked out at least 3 weeks and since my trailer had brakes, most places couldn t do it anyway. There is no wonder why Maryland Auto and Truck Repair came highly recommended by Dave s Trailer.

This is the place you want going to do the inspection! We just moved in Maryland, have two cars needed to do inspection within 30days. We searched online, see the place has many good reviews! So we decided to give it a try. The two ladies working for front desk are very friendly, experienced and helpful! The technician get my two cars done just about 3hours! The price is great than others!

Needed service on my Ram Truck as I was getting a single click when trying to start the engine. I informed the shop of my issues and was set up for a Friday. Dropped my vehicle off on Wednesday and was called the next day that my vehicle was completed. Was also informed that my brakes looked good but the rotors were gouged and should be replaced, I requested a price and was called back within thirty minutes with a price. I gave the okay and was called back around 4:30 saying the truck was ready to be picked up. I will be taking my vehicles here for general service as well as any other major work needing to be done. I give a great big thank you from the front office to the mechanics in the shop Thank You all for a fantastic job!!!!!!Services: Electrical repair, Electrical, Engine repair, Brake service & repair

I recently purchased a used RV from another state and brought it home to Maryland. As part of the licensing process, it needed an inspection. Although the original inspection had to be rescheduled due to rainy weather, it was completed quickly.Juanita in the office was very helpful, especially with the need to fix two minor issues to pass inspection. The team did a very thorough and careful job making sure everything was in good working order. They even assembled all the passenger seat belts, which I had yet to do.I would definitely use them again and recommend to anyone that needed mechanical repairs on their vehicle.

My car was having problems with the passenger seat occupancy sensor which was causing the passenger airbag to turn on and off no matter whether someone was seated there or not. That creates a serious danger for a passenger that I didn't want to let continue, as well as continuing to bug me (the driver) with the alerts and alarm sounds that would frequently sound off. While I wish this issue had been long resolved by the time I got my car (used car, purchased from previous personal owner), especially given that the issue had been known and 'addressed' via an extension of the warranty by a fairly long period of time and decent number of miles, my car was too old and had too many miles to be repaired under warranty by the vehicle manufacturer.Searching around a bit for possible shops to work with, the first one that I found that should have been able to do this work told me, when I called them to check on it, that they actually don't do this repair work. Maryland Auto & Truck Repair was the second place that I tried calling and they should have been the first as they were more than patient in working with me, talking about the possible repair and how long it might take them, when they could take the vehicle in (they were backed up a bit from already scheduled work) and just a pleasure to work with. They kept me informed as to how the diagnostics had gone, what the repair was expected to cost and how long it would take to get the custom order parts (direct from manufacturer) in for repair and actually got the parts in early and got them installed quickly after that, shaving over a week off their original estimate for when they might have it repaired. Again, a pleasure to work with.I would gladly work with Maryland Auto & Truck Repair for future service work and can easily recommend them highly.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Dropped my car off on a Monday, being told that it would be looked at on Tuesday. On Tuesday I was told it would be looked at on Wednesday. On Wednesday, I was told it would be looked at on Thursday. On Thursday I was told that the problem was the battery, and that that was $130 diagnostic fee, plus $40 labor, plus the cost of the battery. And that they could get it done by Friday. The entire time, of course, I was paying for a rental. So that I could wait a week to pay $170 for a service that autozone would have done for free. Those fees would not bother me so much if they hadn't delayed a week - I could have gotten the battery checked myself for free, but didn't think to do that based on the problem, and they have knowledge I don't. I get that. And they did test drive it after, which was the only reason I paid for them to put the battery in - in case it didn't solve the problem, they would have checked for more issues. That's fine.Or it would have been fine if they had done it on Tuesday like they said. Or told me when they'd really get around to it.Instead, they strung me along for a week with "definitely tomorrow" one day at a time, adding a couple hundred more dollars to my total cost. And that I do not appreciate. They did send me a text asking for a review though, so here it is.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Battery

I was nervous at first when I pulled up because it was kind of back-alley looking. They were so nice, accommodating to me and my daughter, and had the most honest staff. I was blown away by their customer service and I highly recommend. Not only did they help me, but they educated me on what to look for when I m buying a used car as well. I look forward to going back, and I hope you will give them a shot!

They had my car in the lot the ENTIRE business day and never even looked at it. No phone call, no update. No "sorry we can't look at you car today. "They told me, "just because you have an appointment, does not mean we may get to it."

I have a 2003 Dodge 3500 that needed some general maintenance and electrical repair. Mark responded to my initial email within an hour of submitting it and talked over the phone about the issues I was having. When I brought the truck to the shop Mark went out and we went through the truck and what I wanted fixed and trouble shot. During the course that my truck was at the shop I was given updated phone calls (by Mark and Juanita) and asked if I wanted certain items fixed, replaced, or leave alone with estimates on labor and parts. They replaced my alternator, A/C and trouble shot a lot of issues I had going on with the truck. I am new to the Maryland area and I worry about being taken advantage of, but this shop really takes care of its customers. Look forward to using the shop in the future for my truck maintenance and repairs as my primary shop. Thanks for all the help and work.Services: Electrical repair, General repairs & maintenance, A/C installation & repair

Hi my name is Fran Bosch unfortunately I couldn t get my sons joke google name switchedAnyway I was looking for a high rated shop to get a safety inspection on my truck without getting taken advantage of. I ended up calling Maryland Auto and Truck service. At appointed time I took my truck in and it was done sooner than expected. Unfortunately it failed because I had a new topper put on the bed that had a third brake light that wasn t hooked up. They told me if I took it home and removed topper and came back they would sign off on it. I picked it up and paid very reasonable inspection fee and took truck home. I wired up lights and took it back a few days later and received my safety inspection. Everyone I met there was very professional and was very nice to interact with. Not only would I go back for another safety inspection I would have them work on my vehicles if they break down. Everyone from the nice lady who is receptionist to the gentleman who did safety inspection treated me respectfully and professionally Thank you. Fran Bosch

Really enjoyed my experience with Maryland auto and truck repair. They actually have a halfway decent waiting room. Unlike so many repair places that are dirty and may not even have chairs. This place had a nice modern clean waiting area. they started servicing my vehicle for Maryland state inspection as soon as I got there, they perform the work quickly, and even offered MVA services. Would definitely return.

Great service up to the end! When it was time to come pick up my car, the lady was very nice when she asked me when I would be able to come get it. I wasn t going to be able to get it before they closed but she said she would try to stay late if she could. Not only did she stay late, but she stayed way after they closed. I was so thankful for this woman who wanted to make sure that I had my car for the weekend. If she hadn t waited I wouldn t have been able to get it until the next Monday when they re-opened. Great customer service! Thank you!

Probably the best experience I have had with a shop for a car related service. I went in at 8am to get an MD state inspection. They do a walk-in from 8-12. They started they inspection almost immediately. While I was there I spoke with Juanita about possibly getting the tags and registration taken care of. I had an appointment to do it at the DMV but of course nobody wants to go there! Juanita walked me through the process, gave me the total price, and it was well worth avoiding the nightmare that is the DMV. Prices across the board were very reasonable and everything was taken care of in a timely manner. I would recommend them for anyone who needs a state inspection or anyone who does not want to hassle with the DMV for tags and registration. There are some food places close so you can head out for breakfast while the inspection is being done.

My skoolie bus broke down and I had it towed here after a recommendation. They fixed the transmission. I've been driving and my vehicle feels "hot" I feel comfortable with the owner, Mark, so I will be bringing it back so he can tell me directly if there are any other issues that need to be addressed. My current 5 star review is for Mark who took the time to call me personally when I was dissatisfied with the attention and care I received from the receptionist.Service: Transmission

Mark was my contact there. He was very helpful and made me aware of all unexpected cost along the way. Professional service from beginning to end. Before I located this company I talked to other companies who installed engines. They made me uncomfortable with no guarantees of the engines and the service. Maryland truck and auto called me after each test drive and let me know of any problems that occurred. I now have my Ford Explorer and it runs very well. Thank you Mark and Maryland truck and autoService: Engine repair

Maryland Auto and Truck Repair was very professional and provided prompt service for my State Inspection. Highly recommended and will continue to do business with them. Dropped off vehicle and went out to grab breakfast and by the time I returned back the truck was ready.

Computers here run a little slow sometimes; but, staff is great. There's a sign shop inside with engraved mugs, shirts and banners for sale. A lot to look at while you wait. Or, you can watch the big screen with non stop current news events. There is also comfortable seating if you get tired of standing.Of course there may be minimal surcharges you probably would not have to pay at MVA; For expedited tags and title service, without having to make an appointment, that could take as long as 3 weeks, l am thankful for it!
