A one week old service center so everything looks nice and neat. There are even toys and books for kids to keep them occupied. The staff were all very polite and professional. We'd been on the test drive waiting list for months, so we were excited to have finally received the call. They can host 2 drivers plus 2 passengers. So you can bring kids;just bring your own car seat for kids under 8 years old. Both my hubby and were able to drive the R1T, which was so much fun! After the test drive, our guide showed us all the truck's features. It's an amazing truck--basically a party truck for tailgating and camping. We asked to see the inside of the R1S and they happily obliged. Like Tesla service centers, this place is not a dealership - - meaning they do not pressure to buy a vehicle while you're there.

The location is part of an industrial park with other businesses, but fairly easy to find. The service team is really nice and professional. The waiting area is comfortable, like a living room set up. They have books on adventuring to read, and a tray with coffee and water, and of course various gear and accessories on display. There is also a clean bathroom.That said, it's not an ideal place to wait for long periods or do work, as the seating is limited, no work stations or bar tops with chargeports, etc. It is also one large room, including a long desk where you sit down with a service member for finalizing your vehicle pickup or where you check in for service. They encourage dropping off and can arrange a rental with the local enterprise. They also have loaners available, while supplies last. They have also offered Uber credits to go into town or find a coffee shop and come back when your vehicle is ready. Overall very good experiences.

Went for a test drive. Our Rivian associate. Peter, was great. Gave us the run down of the cars (I'm interested in the R1T, my eife in the R1S) and showed us a many features as possible on our 30 minute test drive. Hardest part will be deciding on a color

Have been an Rivian enthusiast since their inception so it s painful to have to give this review. I ll start by saying everyone working there is nice this does not represent them as individuals.I brought my R1S to have some misaligned panels fixed as well as an HVAC issue repaired. Dropped off the vehicle on a Thursday morning. They don t have their own rental cars so the local enterprise sent a kid to pick me up and drive me 15 mins to the enterprise. I had asked multiple times prior for a Rivian in return since this is what I drive (and would have been fine with an R1T as well). The enterprise said they have Rivians available but they weren t able to loan one out to me since those were reserved for the airport whatever deal is worked out, I think customers that have already purchased Rivians should get a vehicle of the same or similar caliber. I took the car they gave me and drove the hour ride home.Happened to check the Rivian app the following Sunday evening to see the status of my service and it said my vehicle was ready to be picked up. No call or text letting me know it was done. This was a surprise since I was told it could be a week or so and they don t do service on the weekends. I had reached out to customer service the next morning and they confirmed it showed it was ready to be picked up. I drove the hour back to the service center to find my R1S without any of the panels realigned. The car looked exactly the same as when I dropped it. I honestly don t think they moved it from the spot it was parked. The guy who did the walk around with me stayed quiet when I pointed out all the panels looked exactly the same. He offered to submit another service ticket but I told him I wouldn t be leaving the car for any more days and drove home dissatisfied.As an aside, every other car I have owned will give a complimentary wash before you pick it up from service. While I know this shouldn t be an expectation, if we are talking about ways to improve the service experience, this is a simple one. The recent snow had my Rivian looking dirty and I had already planned on getting it detailed after picking it up, but it would have been the one nice touch.

Very quick and efficient process for taking new car delivery. The employee giving us the walk through of the car was very friendly, funny and helpful. The service center was a bit hidden away in an industrial complex but easy to navigate to.

While the Rivian vehicle and the engineering that went into the current lineup is impressive I have concerns regarding the Gaithersburg Service Center approach to customer service. I dropped my R1S off for service. One of the many cosmetic issues had to do with wind noise from the drivers side front. It was a defective window gasket. The window itself (tinted) was broken during repair and replaced with new untinted glass. During pickup no mention was made of the incident and the need to retint. Only when I questioned the staff did they offer to reimburse me for the cost of having it tinted. Draw your own conclusion.

2nd time at the service center since picking up our R1S since September. Minor issues fixed,Loaners each time. The staff is amazing , friendly, and knowledgeable.

Great location. Plenty of parking. The road to get there from 270 takes a bit, but it's not bad.The surrounding area is quite nice.The Rivian employees are some of the most polite, enthusiastic people that I've met.

Dropped my R1T off for service on the 14th for a list of warranty items and a broken windshield. I was told to expect an update in 3-4 days and a total service time of 7-10 days. It is now day 10 and my truck has yet to be looked at by a technician. Its been parked in the parking lot the entire time. Rivian SC will not reach out at my request to talk about timing and expectations.

Took the T in and everything was fixed. The SC reached out to give me an estimate on completion and they were able to fix it as promised. Happy to have a great team at the new Gaithersburg location!!
