I took my car to get MD inspected over here. I had a great experience taking my car here because even though my inspection failed, the manager explained to me why it failed because of the tint. The tint specification allowed in MD is 29% and mine was 30%. They charge me $50 to remove the tints and passed me for the inspection the same day. This was so convenient and the staff was so helpful! I just moved here and I am going to continue coming back to this station for my other needs!

DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE FOR MD STATE INSPECTION.About two weeks ago I brought my mini van here. They wanted over 1k for repairs after I failed inspection. They also fixed the door without my permission and charged me for it. Anyways, I took it somewhere else and got my repairs done for $400 and saved over $600 and passed inspection. Clearly, they make money off failed inspection. I thought to myself they didn t charge me for reinspecting the car so I ll try this place again when my brother purchased a new car in VA only a few years old. How wrong I was . Same car that passed in VA failed and he was stuck with removing the tint off his windows because of a %6 difference. The manager told me his license would be in jeopardy if he passed us. I thought to myself the police only ticket the driver they don t care about the gas station. What an excuse. This place does not care about repeat business. They are only in it to make the quick buck. They make money off extra repairs and reinspection fees. I will never bring a car here again and will advise my friends as well. I feel horrible for recommending this place to my brother.

How can a Shell station not have a working bathroom? No sign on inoperability and the Clerk has been smoking too much ganja. The higher price is certainly not justified absent better facilities and training!

Very Disppointed. I had the car at the dealership for tune up last week and had them check everything and get it ready for MD inspection. Called this Shell gas station to make an appt which was easy. Was told the inspection will take a little over 1 hr. The car failed because of brake lights which cost $75 add'l dollars (paid total $185). I asked if I can take it back to the shop to have it fixed (since it was just serviced) and bring it back, I was told it told there would be a $35 reinspection fee.I will not be using this shell Inspection facility again. This is my 4th car I have had inspected in MD and I have never been asked to pay a re-inspection fee if the car returns within a month not to mention have a car fail b/c f brake lights.

I could not be happier with the care and service I receive from this shop. You can expect fantastic service at very reasonable prices. I highly recommend this shop! I don t trust anyone else in the state with my car. Rahkee and staff are very knowledgeable. They walk you through needed repairs and always keep you informed. My car is running like a charm!

I ve been a Darnestown Shell customer for nearly 20-years. Fair prices, reliable, and great service. My most recent experience was a transmission replacement on our 2004 Acura TL. Despite supply chain challenges in sourcing transmissions, Rakhee found a replacement quoted a price and promised a quick turnaround. She kept us updated through the process, sent pictures of suspension parts that needed replacement, and stuck to her quote even when an additional part was needed. Finding a good mechanic and shop can be difficult. As long as Darnestown Shell has a garage, I ll be a customer.Services: Vehicle Inspection, Transmission replacement, Auto tire replacement, A/C installation & repair

Darnestown Shell is one stop for all the solutions. Their service professionalism is outstanding.Their Manager Miss Rakhee is highly intelligent and a wonder professional women. They not only gives you good service with the genuine parts and great service, they also make you speechless. Their rates are very genuine and competitive. This is the 1st review I have ever posted about anything, but I am so beyond happy and grateful to the owner and mechanics at Darnestown Shell that I am doing one! I have been coming here for many years. When new ownership took over several years ago I was concerned my service wouldn't be as excellent. It is even better!! I have never felt as though I was being mislead, overcharged, or pressured to do unnecessary services. The owner is awesome and always gives me options and explains what needs to be done so I can actually understand. Never, ever had even a slightly negative experience. We have had routine maintenance and some repairs done on 3 different cars over the past couple of years. The work was done quickly, professionally, and at a fair price. I will definitely continue to have them service our cars. They have earned our trust.

I had not been here before for anything but gas. Today I got a flat around Germantown Road and made it to them around noon. By 2:30 I had a new tire on my car. For part of them time I was at work, but when I returned to the station Rakhee kept me updated on every scenario so I wouldn't be surprised if I needed a new wheel or tire sensor. Fortunately, I just needed the new tire. They are wonderful. I'm thankful a bad experience brought me to finding a terrific place to bring my car moving forward.Service: Tires

I was so happy with the professionalism with the manager at this station. I originally had asked for change of break pads and she called me back and told me that I don t need that and just needed slight maintenance on it. She could have charged me but she did the right thing by being honest. I later went back for oil change and new tires. I would recommend this service station for any service needs a !Services: Tires, Oil change

Everyone at Darnestown Shell is incredibly friendly. The pricing is reasonable and the staff is professional and well-seasoned in the auto repair field. If you live in Montgomery County, this is the best place for vehicle service in general, but especially brakes and MD state inspection!

This station is amazing!!! They can always fit you in on short notice, their prices are great, and the service is outstanding. I had some problems with my car which were fixed with no hesitations! I highly recommend bringing your cars here! Consider me a loyal customer now!!

Jim the manager at the shell is a good guy I took my car in to get it fixed and he had it done on time even early. I gave him 1 day to get it done! I believe his team did a perfect job as i have had no problems. The prices in the automotive department are slightly high but are good for the area and less then a lot of the chain places around. maryland is a very expensive state for just about everything. I would recommend their automotive shop to my friends and family. Great job

I've had various small repairs done at a fair price. Quick to fit you in, and Jim service manager does his best to repair what's needed and no more. Water pump, muffler and tire fixes done there. I think they're a great close choice for local repair, if you don't want to goto a large shop like Pepboys, etc.

I go there regularly for oil changes regularly. The manager of the auto shop is polite and efficient. They are quick and do business at a fair price. Definitely recommend.

This place has been very honest in the care they provide. I ve never felt uncomfortable with there suggestions on what my car repair needs are. They don t do anything extra unless they contact you. I never felt as if they would do any unnecessary repairs.

Don't use this shop. repair item is just $2.99 and total charge including tax $20. If you need sign after getting repair warning from police like bulb change. You have to pay another $25. Please be careful before using this shop.It's really rip off.

Clean pumps and decent squeegees! There diesel is always well priced and thy have special days that save money. The mechanics seem honest too!
