I'm incredibly impressed by the exceptional service provided by Alex today. I did not know the exact issue with my tires, when my car displayed concerning messages about tire problems. Alex not only meticulously inspected all my tires but also went above and beyond by conducting a thorough sensor system check. He successfully reconnected my sensors and even filled the air for me. His exemplary service far surpassed my expectations for Costco Tire Center, showcasing his dedication to customer care and his critical thinking skills. I am truly grateful for his assistance.

Here's a glimmer of hope. This shop appears to have turned around since 2021. My experience in 2021 was terrible. Just had four new tires installed Oct 2023. Tires were special order, arrived as promised. Made an appointment for 7:30pm. Car was on the rack by 7:45, and completely finished by 8:45. No damage to my perfect rims, balance is spot-on.

Thanks Johnnie for being friendly and putting air in my tires! Appreciate you. I knocked a star off because there is no order if you need to get your tires inflated. I went to the front desk and he told me to go to the bay area and ask someone (no I did not actually go inside the service center because that is a huge liability plus I can read the "Do not enter" sign mentioning such liability)....fortunately I caught Johnnie coming out of a car he had just parked in the bay to be serviced and asked him if he could help me. He was more than happy to do it and told me there was a lady in front of me. The high rating is really because of him! Friendly, efficient, and orderly.

Good price but not worth the nightmare experience. First appointment for all 4 tire replacement took over 3 hours. All for me to have to bring the car back a few days later since they didn t properly balance all 4 wheels. Then car still felt off so took to a dealership to find out all 4 tires were rounded which the most common cause is from improper install. Now, a few weeks later I m back via appointment for all 4 tires to be replaced. Appoint was for 3pm and they just put my car on the lift at 6pm. Now I have to pray they actually install everything properly this time.

Understaffed, often only one guy at the front to take customers. Guys are nice enough, but this was not a well oiled operation.Car was in and ready for an appointment in advance, it s now been over an hour and my car still hasn t gone in. Very slow and not enough parking. Be prepared to spend 2-3+ hours to get tires swapped out even with an appointment.

I usually love all things related to Costco, but their tire center is a total scam. Without incurring any damage, hitting any curbs or big potholes and having driven well under 20k miles, the side wall of my front passenger tire completely blew out. It was well within the warranty period, so I took it back here to have it looked at. The associate I talked to guaranteed that it would be replaced, gave me a number and told me to wait. And wait I did, over two and a half hours because they had my car. Finally the supervisor talked to me and said the warranty was void because they didn't rotate the tires and have them balanced every 7,500 miles. Rotate and balance your tires every 7,500 miles? Who actually does that? But if they had just told me that at the start and not kept me waiting I might have looked over the whole thing since it was in the fine print (apparently). But to have me wait for so long only to pull the rug out from under me? Unacceptable.

Cheap, fast. You should wait in the eating area behind the hotdog place. Tires were $150 cheaper here than at NTB. Bring a thermos and a hot beverage, and snacks.

Very busy store with major parking issues. I wish they could install elevators for better utilization of lower level parking to deal with congestion issues.

This review is specifically for this tire centers installation. As others mentioned, it takes a very long time to install the tires you buy online. I signed up for an appointment online and brought it in 15 min before my appointment time. They quoted 2 hours for the install, which is long but fine. 2.5 hours later they didn t even start on my car - it was just brought into the bay. They said it will take another hour. What is the point of an appointment if they don t bother working on it at that time? They clearly need to reduce the number of time slots. Still buy online because the price is good but go somewhere else for the install unless you have lots of time to kill.

I have never seen such a bad, inefficient service. Firstly, it took a long time to order two tires at the center because the woman receiving my order was completely incompetent. She constantly asked for advice her more experienced coworker on how to enter the order into computer. They told me they would call me when the tires arrive to schedule an appointment for installation. After four days of waiting I decided to cancel. I called but they put me on hold that lasted forever. So I went there again. This time there was only person handling a long line of customers. Every time he entered a transaction he had to call a supervisor to approve it. And the supervisor was busy with other things. I waited about half a an hour, cancelled and went to a local shop (Hanagan's in Gaithersburg too). The tires were in within 2 hours and installed in 25 minutes. I will never go to the Costco Tire Center again.

Asked to hold 3 times in a row when calling the tire center. Held for 15-20 minutes each time and was transferred to a different line. When I asked for the tire center, they just transferred me back and the tire center rep simply put me on hold or hung up each time. Don t bother calling to see if they have your tires available for purchase here.

I had a flat tire. The first visit: it took 4 hours for the tech to tell me the tire is not repairable, 1 hour to order the tire. Their service phone kept ringing, even they were standing in front of it, they didn t bother to pick it up. Then call went to voicemail, indicating it is full. Two weeks later, when my tire arrived, it took the tech over 3 hours to put it on. I watched the whole installation, it seems like they they don t know how to do it. They sell reasonably priced tires, but the waiting time is completely not worth it. Think twice before you purchase their tires.

COSTCO AS A REAL PROBLEMS WITH MAKING AN APPOINTMENT TO ORDER TIRES AND D'ONT EVEN THING OF GOING THERE AND TALK TO SOMEONE, AT BEST THE GUY WILL BE RUDE.

I bought a set of new tires at costco.com online and chose to install it at this location.After seeing the rating and reading reviews I was expecting for something bad to happen.But my experience here was not bad at all: arrived 15 minutes before scheduled appointment as suggested and went through quick check-in.My appointment was at 16:30 and at 17:40 I've got a call that my car is ready for pick-up.After arriving home I did the pressure and torque check - everything was according to the specs (not always the case when you use tire shops).So I'm totally happy with it. Thanks to everyone who was working on my car!

Do not loose your time and effort to deal with Costco.I ordered tires online.After receiving an email that tires has arrived i came for pick up.Guy at front desk said they received only two out of four but if i want to order the other two they will arrive in 2 days.Pure lie.I was expecting a call that never happend.I came after week to check and still nothing changed.Even after calling numerous of times only thing happening was WAIT, WAIT, WAIT.STAY AWAY AND DONT LOOSE YOUR TIME AND EFFORT!!!

this has to be the worst service center. I made an appointment, asked if they had the tires correct for my car and when I had it towed there, they had one person working a crowd of people and didn't have my tires. Nor did they offer any recourse. pathetic and terrible

They're a little back up at times, but they get the job done. While others have complained about the customer service. I myself have no complaints with the four sets of tires I have had mounted and balanced there.

my service here was so bad I had my car here from 1:00 pm all the way to 8:00 pm at night just for them to tell me that they cannot fix my wheels the service here is horrible

I had an appointment and it still took 3 hours for a tire rotation. I have been to many other Costco tire centers throughout the US and never had this issue.

Initial purchase was fast took about an hour with no appointment, but afterwards one tire lose pressure. This goes one for a month. I keep try to call to speak with someone about the warranty, I get no answer. I decide to come in after waiting 30 minutes in line to talk to someone they say they can check it but it will be a 2 wait just to check tire pressure. It not the employees fault, but they seriously hire more staff these poor guys are struggling to keep up with the demand.

What a joke. I made an appointment. Dropped it off 15 minutes early and waited. They quoted me 2 hours so I puttered around the store for an hour and a half and came outside to see they still hadn t pulled my car back. I ask the clerk will my car be ready at the time they quoted? He told me Im next I asked him how long after I m taken back he says 40 minutes. They don t respect your time. I ve had wonderful experience with other Costco Tire Centers but this was is a waste. Drive to another location because you can t beat the tire prices.

I wish I can give 0 starr as I have THE WORST experience ever in any stores. I went to Costco Gaithersburg tire center to order tires for my truck and encountered a staff named Abebe. His attitude is absolutely one of the worst for the job as he was making fun of me when I said the tire that I would like to order. I understand the tire I am looking for is nnot usual as it is the all terrain tires with Kevlar. He was making fun of me as I am requesting something that is non-existent. At the best I can say his training is not sufficient as a person who works in tire department. It is UNACCEPTABLE to make fun of customer. When I requested I would like to have another staff serve me, his response is lacklaster. The worst part is he was making fun of my accent. I thought this great nation is supposed to be where people treat each other with respect and decency. Making fun of other people's race, accent and etc is considered racial discrimination, which is UNCONSTITUTATIONAL. It is UNACCEPTABLE for a Costco staff having such conduct!

Ordered tires through online Costco tire. Said they shipped but did not for a week after they said so. On site store had no control over this apparently. Check order shipment status before you did, even if it's 2 weeks since ordering! In store technician is curt in tone but doing the best he can. Always accommodating in situations like this and will assist with immediate installation once they do arrive.

I got 4 new Bridgestone Tires replaced today at Costco in Gaithersburg, Md. I was given very bad service. After 5 hours one Tire rear driver side was flat. I had to first go and fill air and then immediately drove to the Costco Auto Tire center. The mechanic checks it out and finds that the Valve on that Tire was not installed correctly. The mechanic who did the work did a lousy job. The supervisor also did a bad job in not inspecting the Tires. Costco is not providing good Quality service. Why should a customer go thru this hassle? I hope the Manager in the Tire department reads my comments and replies me back?

Awful experience, first time using the Costco tires discount coupon to replace 4 tires at Gaithersburg Tire Center. When I picked up my car after the tire installation, the tire pressure warning light showed up on the dash board. Took the car back to the tire center to have the tires pressure check out. I was told by the technician that front right tire sensor is out of battery and it could not generate the tire pressure reading. It was obviously the tire sensor was damaged during the tire installation process. But they didn't want admit the liability and said it was out of battery. These sensors were working properly before I dropped off the car for tire installation. I had to make 4 trips back to the center to try to fix the issue. Finally, I gave up on waiting and trying to get a solution. I decide to go to my car dealership to have it fixed. First time and it will be my last time using this place. Not worth to save few dollars and ended up wasting hours and additional damage to my car. No wonder 2 ratings.

Con First: Wait time is very long ... Best is to drop the car and come back later to pick it up.Pros: Good prices for tiers. Free rotation and balance if you buy tires from Costco.Now they will do tier services for good price even if you didn't get your tiers from them.

Wife prepaid for the tires. I arrived Monday morning at 10 AM. Was told there would be a three hour wait. Turned out to be 4 hours. NO waiting room: no chairs, water, coffee, vending machine, TV or toilet. Just a narrow steel bench. They don't care about customer comfort at all. Asked about the tire rotation program. Was told to make an appointment three weeks in advance and to expect a one to two hour wait. I'll gladly pay more at a different dealer in the future and be treated like a human being instead of like a "consumer". Never again Costco Tires.

I had a screw in one of my tires. The total cost for the tire repair was $10.99!The worst part though is that it takes a really long time to get it done because they re so busy. It s been 2 hours and a half since I dropped off the car and it s not done yet.
