What is there not to recommend about Zach s Auto Clinic. Honest work at an honest price. Improved my driving experience. Confident in their ability to troubleshoot and resolve general maintenance and automotive issues related to vehicle aging and road time. Would highly recommend. Zach s is the honest mechanic s shop that every person wants to do business with.

My wife and I have taken our cars to Zach s at least 5-6 times in the last few years. Every single time, they take great care of us. They re fast, communicative, friendly, fairly-priced, and just an all around great group of guys to work with. They always explain everything thoroughly, are up front about turnaround times (which have always been very quick), and treat us with respect and care. We won t use anyone else for our vehicles and we continue to recommend them to anyone in need of a great mechanic in the Frederick area.

Honest and trustworthy- what a gem of an auto clinic with Zack and Jake. Work done at a decent price. It s the only place I ll go to have my car serviced - it s a breath of fresh air with guys who do right by the customer. Bravo.

I am mechanically ignorant. I have always had those dealership maintenance packages taking care of my car. Then, due to circumstances, I had to get a used car for the first time and address repairs. Zach and Adam are very communicative in quoting and what you need. Anything additional from the oral quote when I ask for one in writing is explicitly explained why it is needed. IE: getting a cracked radiator replaced that also needed the upper and lower hose replaced.I also appreciate not having my ignorance taken advantage of. I asked Zach to look at the timing belt because I thought the squeaking my car was making was coming from the timing belt that was previously replaced. Zach stated while he could do that, it would involve additional charges because of its location and the noise was likely coming from the serpentine belt (AKA: driving belt) which was easier (and cheaper) to adjust which resolved the issue.I realized later what I thought was the timing belt in my engine was actually the serpentine belt.I also asked for him to replace the oil but he was honest in telling me the oil looked to already have been replaced (later found out a 1,000 miles before I purchased the vehicle). Same thing with flushing the brakes where he said he would check to see if it was done beforehand before billing me.The fact Zach could have easily billed me left, right, center for services not needed but was honest and transparent will make him my go-to mechanic going forward.

An honest mechanic in Frederick! Light on in 2015 Jeep Cherokee, "SVC 4WD". My daughter's car and she lives and works in Frederick. Scheduled an appointment for 1:00PM noting I did not live in the area and could not leave the car for any length of time - she was actually on her lunch break. Zach was able to diagnose in about an hour, provided me an estimate and an honest assessment. Would not hesitate to bring her car (or my car) there again.

My new go to auto repair shop. Great customer service with transparent pricing. I suggested work that I didn t need and Zach s reply was, Why spend the money if you don t have to? . That in addition to their solid work and my 2010 car will keep me coming back!

Highly recommend Zach's! We had a fleet vehicle down and Zach's team got us in and out quickly to get us back on the road. They were straight forward about what needed to be done and didn't try to push unnecessary repairs, which was so refreshing. They are super responsive and have excellent customer service. You know how so many folks look for a mechanic that is honest, straightforward, knowledgeable, has a great staff, likes what they do, and wants to do the job right, and isn't trying to destroy you financially, but instead do things honestly and right, and make sure your car is well taken care of? Zach's is that shop. This is the 2nd time I've come to Zach's. All the reviews are legit. They care about you as a customer, treat you like a human being, and know their stuff. Your car will be happy and you will be too. I only take the time to write good reviews of solid businesses that go above and beyond. Had some engine issues 3hrs from home on the way back from vacation. Had to abandon the car at Zack s shop (chosen because if the great reviews) and drive a rental home. Zack was extremely understanding and willing to help. Ultimately after checking it out my car needed taken to the dealership. Zack took my car to the dealership and didn t charge me for any of this! Very helpful and kind person!

We were on our way back from a road trip and had a flat tire due to what we thought was a bad valve stem. It turns out it was a faulty air pump we were using that drained our tire pressure. Zach and Adam got us back on the road quick and despite the issue being due to our little knowledge of cars, they were super friendly and didn't treat us like idiots, unfortunately I can't say that about a lot of places. Great guys!

This was the first time I had the pleasure of using Zach's auto shop, although not the first time for a family member, who had recommended him. Zach was so wonderful to work with. He was very accommodating with fitting our car(s!) In when issues arose and was so responsive in answering our questions. Zach answered phone calls quickly and the turnaround time was fast.The customer service he provided was phenomenal and he was very professional and courteous. Zach's is a great shop that does good work for a fair price with no upselling or pressure. They diagnosed my failed fuel pump, kept me in the loop the whole time, and replaced it quickly. I also had a dash light on for a bad sensor that I knew about, and Zach didn't push me to spend extra money to get that fixed.

We have an older car (2003) and Zach's does a great job of figuring out what the important repairs are without trying to make a new car out of it. I needed rear brakes, a new water pump and a new intake manifold. I may need a new radiator at some point, but right now that can wait. They are very respectful of my time and my budget. When a business has all 5 stars reviews I am often skeptical, but working with them I get it.My car had pretty simple problem of needing to replace the spark plugs and ignition coil. The garage I took it to to diagnose the problem quoted me 1300. Since the work was simple, we figured we could do it ourselves. We got it towed home only to find out the bolts were nearly all broken halfway down.We called Zach's and the said they were pretty busy and since it was Friday they might not be able to work on it until Monday. Cut to 4 pm when they call and say they decided they didn't want to leave it hanging over the weekend and got it finished and if I can get there by 5 I can pick up today.And it was less than $300. I will be coming here forever.

I couldn't be more pleased with the service, quality, timeliness, and customer service! My car broke down on a day that was super busy for me. Zach and his team had it fixed in a few hours. I was so happy to have my car back the same day! I recommend using Zach's Auto Clinic 100 times over. It was pleasure doing business with Zach and Zach's Auto Clinic. He has a great calm demeanor, reasonable prices and does great work. They replaced my daughter's exhaust from the catalytic converter back with all stainless steel exhaust that they had to adapt to an old catalytic converter. In addition they replaced her spark plugs which quite involved process for this vehicle. The vehicle runs great and the exhaust seals an works perfectly. 100% recommend Zach s Auto Clinic. I had these guys swap my clutch with an aftermarket clutch kit that I provided after being highly recommended by a few people on the Maryland Car Meet Facebook page. The guys there gave me no hassle about bringing my own parts (like some shops do), installed quickly and job was done perfectly. I initially inquired about service via email which was met with a prompt response after every email. Finally I have my car back and couldn t be happierService: Transmission repair

I am a very happy new customer. When I needed new brakes on my front axle, he was about $100 cheaper than the other quotes I had been given, and he didn't try to up-sell me with a laundry list of "other things we noticed" while I was there. Zach was friendly and professional, he was able to see me right away, AND he had me in and out in record time. I absolutely recommend him to anybody and everybody who is looking for a good and reliable car mechanic in Frederick.
