We have purchased many cars but have never experienced such great service and expertise from start to finish- it was a true pleasure. Grant was amazingly knowledgeable of the Forester and it s every feature with focus on safety and tech features and how to efficiently utilize everything from the first drive. Ask for him but they all seemed great. We picked a Forester after a couple of hours and leased it the following Saturday- extremely smooth process and they are very accommodating. I would highly recommend this dealer if you are interested in a Subaru. We will be returning in three years for the next one.

It was so easy to get the car we wanted. We went in late in the evening and still got personalized (and not rushed) service. We wanted a car that was in transit and as we were leaving, it showed up so the manager drove it around for us to look at. The whole process took less than 2 hours which is a record as far as I'm concerned.

Bradley helped me buy my Forester Wilderness. The whole process start to finish was fantastic and easy. He was very knowledgeable and an honest person. I appreciate the dealership being honest and transparent with their pricing which beat other Subaru dealerships in the DMV area. :)

UPDATE: This dealership has reached out to us to work out a solution, thankfully - they are earning our trust back!(Original post) BUYER BEWARE! DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM Frederick Subaru in MD. Our kid purchased a used car from this dealership and just over 30 days later, the Check Engine light went off stranding them on the road and needing the car towed to a local repair place. The local mechanic said spark plugs and a coil were needed and the cost would be $1,500. Frederick Subaru blew my kid off, saying that it was past 30 days' warranty and that they weren't responsible for anything. Replacement spark plugs and a coil are things that should have been replaced before re-sale, as the repair mechanic said that this had never been done on this vehicle (and it has over 150K miles.) DO NOT BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP, NEW OR USED. The customer service that our kid was given there is sub-par...my husband was even there to help with the transaction, so they know our family AND they know that we also bought a BRAND NEW Subaru there several months ago. For this used car situation, there was no consideration that we were loyal customers. We won't be back until Subaru Frederick makes this right by us. We will be taking our Subaru business and service elsewhere...and posting this review to let everyone else know about this too.

Frederick Subaru did an outstanding job performing routine service for my Subaru Crosstrek. The people there are highly professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. No surprises...just what you should expect from a reputable Subaru dealer.

We bought our new Subaru there a few weeks ago and had an incredible experience, the staff were so friendly and helpful especially Brad, our salesman. I hope I never have to find another dealer!

I took my car to have the engine fixed and they gave it to me with the bad clutch, without the car being able to move and they were not responsible for the problem. Good to charge bad to respond.

I have taken my 2018 Outback to Frederick Motors since I purchased it in 2019 and I have never had a negative experience in all that time. I would recommend them to anyone for quality and dependable service.

I walked in to Subaru services for oil change and I found out a problem on my tires. I was worried to pay more than $100. They changed the lights from a recall, change oil and fixed my tires for less than $70 ! Waw! You re make my day Subaru.. thank you again !

I recently gave Frederick Subaru a one-star review because of the way they treated one of their customers. They have however, reached out to that customer and made things right. So now I'm changing my review.

Our experience dealing with Grant at Frederick Subaru was extraordinary. He asked questions to understand our needs and went over the owner's manual with us while we were at the dealership. Grant even tabbed some pages so we could easily refer to our owners manual later. Additionally, he helped us program our cell phones, seats and spent some time in the car with us showing us the many features our new Forester has. We live about 70 miles from Frederick Subaru in the Baltimore area. It was definitely worth the time and drive to see Grant at Frederick Subaru !

have been fine getting regular maintenance done; pleasant, timely. However, I have been waiting since last year for touch-up paint. paid for, to fill a deep scratch on the hood of my blue pearl 2021 Outback. They blame Sherman Williams for the delay... How uninspired. Like their body shop hasn't painted a pearl blue vehicle, one of the more popular colors for years, this year? Couldn't spare a thimble of paint? Can only suggest I get an estimate to repair this scratch from the body shop (will certainly say I need the whole hood painted). I just want to be sure the scratch doesn't get any worse. Guess I'll have to go outside of Subaru for a simple solution. Very unimpressed by their effort/resourcefulness; seem to not really care. Not expected from a Subaru organization.

Everything went super smooth and quick. Grant was fantastic, super knowledgeable and took the time to explain even the most minute details to us. Will recommend folks who enjoy Subaru to shop here.

I bought a Subaru Impreza 2017 from the Frederic Motor Co through the sales person Mark Lawson. I would have not buy the car though I was looking exactly for the same car and model if I didn't meet Mark. He is kind, trustworthy and professional. The car for me was a little overpriced and not yet prepared for sale. We wrote a letter to the manager to lower the price but he declined. I felt unhappy but decided to buy the car any way. Rob Marino, the manager was also very kind and together with Mark, promised to service the car, doing a body work and inside to do a deep cleaning. That was done quite well. The only problem that remained is the radio. They promised to replace the broken parts of the radio. Unfortunately, they are still waiting the supplier ( an outside company) to provide them with the necessary parts. Hopefully it will happen sooner. Overall, my rating for this company is 5 for their good customer service, kindness and respect!

I actually sold my Subaru because of their garbage service manager Ashley. The service people try their best but are overridden by a "screw the customer" service manager Ashley. Everything is a "no" or "not our problem" with her. It started with a dead battery within 1st month of purchase when it had been parked in a snow storm for days (no the lights were not left on and even if they had been it was a brand new car and they were automatic shutoff lights) was the first battle and there were MANY. My final straw was a continuous issue with my windshield where after a few hundred miles the windshield would smear to the point of serious danger - could not see if it rained or snowed - could not drive the car. They tried replacing wiped blades etc and I still believe it was a faulty windshield but was not willing to die over them refusing to fix the issue. They kept saying it was where I parked but at work I was in the wide open near no trees and at home it was garage parked and magically my new car I replaced my Outback with NEVER had the issue. Subaru may be great but the service department under her rule is less than a 0 rating. If it hadn't been for the others she constantly overruled, I would have left them a long time ago and hence no more Subaru. Bad for the Subaru brand that a dealer allows this.*** Update Subaru had a recall for this very issue!!!

My experience at Frederick Subaru was outstanding. My sales rep, Grant, was courteous, knowledgeable, and patient with me and my 5,000 questions. He shared great advice and there was no hard sell whatsoever. Everyone at the dealership, from sales, finance, and service were willing to help anytime. The Forester is beautiful! It s comfortable, handles great, and has plenty of power (don t listen to those reviews that say otherwise). I ve gotten up to 35 mpg going to and from work, but my average is about 32 mpg. It s my second Forester and probably not my last.

The service advisors here are pretty rude. If it wasn t for their service manager Ashley I probably would ve given 1 star. Ashley is amazing and a great asset to that dealership. One of the service advisors is the general managers son and maybe that s why he gets away with being rude. I will say when I picked up my car he was a lot nicer than previously but then the guy that checked me out with the paperwork and payment (Jim I believe) was cold and didn t say bye or thank you or anything for that matter just told me to sign and my total. When I contacted the general manager about my poor experience he didn t contact me at all. Again, probably because it s his son. I contacted Ashley and she made me feel much more comfortable to leave my car there for the repair. So thank you Ashley. She was very communicative with me during the process and was able to get me a loaner car the same size as my other one since I have kids. Once they ordered the parts the repair was done pretty quick which was great. This review is strictly for the Subaru service center. I did have an amazing experience with the used car manager Rob.

I bought my first Subaru in 2021. I then purchased my wife a Subaru in 2022. The staff at Frederick Subaru is knowledgeable, friendly and more importantly honest. When I go to the service department I know the work they are requesting actually needs to be done. I will continue coming to Frederick Subaru.

I usually don't go to a dealer for service because in the past, while I resided in California, it was my experience that the prices for simple things like an oil change or a brake job were substantially higher than going to an independent mom and pop type business. I found this isn't the case in the service department at Frederick Subaru. Plus, I can make an appointment and wait in comfort while the work is being done. This past week I went in for an oil change and tire rotation and was advised my rear brakes needed to be replaced. I was dismayed when the price was quoted, so I shopped around. Well, I guess the higher prices are still with us, because the cost I was quoted by all the competition was pretty much the same with the exception that I would have to drop my car off, find a way home and a way back to pick up my car, which posed a problem. My brakes were done in a little more than an hour while I read a book and had some coffee in the waiting room. I have always found the staff at Frederick Subaru to be competent, friendly, and helpful.

I've always understood that you pay more at a dealership for repairs, but I've always trusted that I would get good service. Despite people's horror stories I've always had good experiences until I started coming to Frederick Subaru. I've gone 3 or 4 times and never had anything major concerns about my experience. This last time I went in because my oil was leaking. They said my head gasket was cracked and they wanted to charge me over $4K to fix it. When I asked for more clarification of what was going on and how could this have happened I felt rushed to make a quick decision. I eventually decided I wanted a second opinion. I went somewhere else and only told them that my oil was leaking and I wanted a second opinion on the problem. They looked at it and said my oil filter was incredibly dirty and was overflowing and that's why it had been leaking. I asked about the head gasket and he said there was no problem with it. Since the other shop cleaned everything up I've had no issues with oil leaking. I'm so disappointed with Frederick Subaru. This was either an issue of gross incompetence or blatant fraud. Whatever the reason is, I will not be back.

Our Service Rep did the necessary research, and recommended the best tire and pricing for our needs. The offer included a rebate from the manufacturer, and the Service Rep even offered to submit the paperwork to get the rebate for us. He worked out an appropriate time for me to bring my vehicle in and avoid any delay in waiting. He said the service would be completed in approximately 2 hours, and in 2 hours and 15 minutes I was driving off the lot with the service complete.Over the past 5 years we have come to trust our Service Rep completely with our vehicles. He even offered good advice when we traded our old vehicle for a new one. We are quite satisfied the the service and the friendship we've developed. I would wholeheartedly recommend my Service Rep to my own Mother.

Always a great experience having our vehicle serviced at Frederick Subaru. Making an appointment is easy. The car was ready as promised and Curtis was extremely helpful
