I went on my lunch break and there was no line. I was in and out in about 5 minutes. My inspector (first door from the left) did a great job walking me through the steps. He was fast and efficient.

Fast and easy. Not sure if the self-serve kiosk has been fixed but didn't want to try it again.

Went there around 4pm and the line was 8 cars deep in all 3 lanes. I was a bit discouraged but, the lines moved quickly...I was there maybe 15 minutes before being seen. The employee was friendly and quick. Thanks for a positive experience.

Really nice personel that treat you with lots of respect. 5 cars were Infront on me, and just had to wait for 12 minutes. I will come back here again.

The MVA itself does a good job. Whatever pack of hillbillies runs the veip kiosk would be the reason for for the low rating. The kiosk NEVER works. It is hard to get to the VEIP station based on my works hours which is why the kiosk would be awesome for people that need it. Nobody seems to care if it is operating. It might be on purpose so the stations can get the extra couple bucks to do the test in person but that seems like terrible reason to make a kiosk in the first place. Each kiosk probably costs taxpayers 200k or more. They should never have come up with these if they don t work, it is a money grab in the first place as nobody actually cares about emissions.

Reading all these reviews I must have just come on a bad day. It took me over an hour, and when I offered to come back another day I was threatened with a $300 fine because my emissions were past due.I left MD for 3 years, was a resident of another state, and when I moved back and reregistered the vehicle in MD, that didn't reset the emissions testing due date. The person behind the counter was more than a bit burned out, and told me to just wait even though he knew they were packed and under staffed. In situations like this, I feel they should be authorized to issue a 7day waiver. After my long wait, they were courteous.

I'm annoyed that there only 2 places for all of Frederick county are so small. Self service is literally 1 kiosk and 8 cars waiting for that one so I left and went to full service only to find 3 lanes all full and backed up around the corner at 10:30am on a Tue. There's no appt and it's mandatory every 2 years and you pay for it so seems like Frederick could do a better job giving more self service kiosks and full service.

The person who I dealt with was a robot. No emotion whatsoever. I do understand they were busy all three bays open but good grief! No greeting, no emotion and certainly could care less about anything or anyone. The 24 hour kiosk at the mva had more personality.

Friendly, fast and free.. okay not free but we did ask. Never an issue over the past ten years.

Access, parking, personnel and facilities were excellent. The issue was scheduling. I waited in-line for over an hour to be seen. It like someone scheduled every car in Frederick County to be tested on the same day. Maybe next time (2 years to get it right) the MVA can smooth out the flow and reduce wait times to something reasonable.

The manager was very helpful to extend my due date until my vehicle makes it to Portugal and I can cancel my registration. He was very pleasant to interact with.

Not bad at all. After what I went through with Maryland DMV. for change of licence and registration from out of state this was surprisingly simple and the gentalman that just pushed a car through the bay was as nice as can be. Told him I might run out of gas and he might have to push me too and he took it well even though he was exhausted. Such a kind man!

In short: uncommunicative, manipulative, disrespectful, rude.Had an issue where they told me I needed to pay for 2 tests, pm of Nov 23. The issue is irrelevant, but I had already gone to the MVA to resolve the cause. I explained my situation and the attendant, a white person with long blonde hair, left, returned and told me to step out of the car to conduct the test. I assumed this meant the situation was settled. Then, after I paid and was sitting in my car, she told me I had to go back in line to take a second test. Why not say a word of this before administering? She did not communicate, essentially tricked me into paying for a test. When I said no, I should not have to pay for 2 tests, she yelled to a coworker that I was complaining (said that louder and repeatedly) about the assignment date . The assignment date was not the issue, and I can only assume she was loud to provoke me and/or let the people behind me know it was not her fault for the delay when she was being misleading and manipulative. She and her coworker took turns pointing at the assignment date and interrupting me, not addressing my situation. Even if there was something I was misunderstanding, they were withholding information in what seemed like intentional manipulation. Eventually they told me to pull ahead to take the test there (without waiting in line...is it that simple for them to decide not to give people a hard time?) and I did, feeling bad for the people blocked behind me. The man there, seemingly a manager, tried to start the test and when I said hold on, there is an issue, he interrupted me and did not listen to my situation. I kept trying to ask, how do I resolve this error? and he would not tell me. All he said was that he did not have the authority. It was after much time that he finally told me that only a VEIP supervisor could and there isn t one here right now , like he was trying to make it seem like I had no choice. I m not sure why they were trying to trap me into taking these tests. I left instead to contact a VEIP supervisor. At first the attendant was very nice, but the moment there was an anomaly she stopped communicating and started, for lack of a better term, trying to bully me into cooperation. I hope these individuals grow out of this disturbing behavior and do not subject others to it. $14 is a lot these days to have to give up for a system error; people need every cent they can get.

Was there early, waited for about 20 min since start time is 8:30 am. Right at 8:30 all lanes were opened and customers were serviced. The lady who did my emission was polite and answered all my questions. She was also quick and real nice. Thanks you all.

It is an emissions testing center, so i'll give reviews from 2 points of view:The pessimistic version >wait 30 minutes in line and pay $14 to hear "you pass" The optimistic version >you wait ONLY 30 minutes and have a very pleasant technician kindly take your $14 and proudly announce "you pass" In all seriousness, in is a typical emissions center, no better or worse than any other.***UPDATE ***3-3-2022 nothing has changed except for one thing...the lines are LONGER!!!!Now you get to wait 40 minutes burning your $4 gallon gasoline for the technician to take your $14 and say "you pass" Ironic that you pollute the air while waiting to have your emissions tested crazy isn't it
