I am a car enthusiast and picky. We have taken Asian and European autos for service with equal success and courteous services since 2002. They are straight forward. Expect a truthful quiet calm attitude, just the facts, and determined focused effort no less. Listen to them and ask questions. Their tools and products are quality correct to diagnose and solve my issue. I compared and concur with their product profit margin, as labor to research, account, order and guarantee the parts are accurate.Labor: honest and experienced, technical staff, with over 39yrs. Tech questions only answered after research.I recall two particular difficult repairs i would have taken to the dealer they solved. They research and respond. Plan ahead. State your issue clearly as possible.

Mark and his team always do an excellent job taking care my family s automobiles. He calls to let you know what his mechanics find before starting any service and the work is always done on time and correct. The prices are 1/3 of the dealership and I am certain his team does a better job than the nickel and dime of the dealership service department.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Brake service & repair, Battery, Oil change

My wife and I have been taking our cars to Carriage House for years and we love their service! Mark always explains everything to us and gives us a timeline for which repairs are pressing and which repairs are coming down the road. I appreciate their communication and their integrity!

I was driving across the country for interviews and had sudden transmission issues 1,000 miles from home (and during a heavy snow). Read the reviews for CHA and crossed my fingers. They were quick to work on my car and help get me back on the road. They seriously saved my interview season. I wanted to leave this review so anyone who may find themselves in a similar situation can know who in the area can help them out. Thank y all for everything- car is still going strong!

I have 163,000 miles on my car thanks to Mark and Carriage House Automotive. Funny thing, when I mentioned the miles he couldn t believe it and said didn t you just get that car? It s been 7 years lol!! Looks like new and feels and runs like new thx to them. Mark and his team have always treated us with fairness and honesty. I appreciate their straightforward and upfront approach. I m grateful that he walked me under the C300 to show me where the rear subframe had rusted from the inside out and where the control arm mount for the left rear wheel had broken right off. For the first time in my life, I took a used car to a shop to get inspected and they found NOTHING wrong with it. Not one single phony-baloney up-charge. You can't ask for a more honest car repair shop than that.

Honesty, knowledgeable, accommodating, professional, attentiveness, no up-sell and friendly service. Mark and Carriage House Automotive have been our mechanic since we moved to Frederick almost 12 years ago. It's a casual shop that does professional work kindly and politely. I was always one to change oil and rotate tires myself, but they make it easy to schedule and the prices are very reasonable. Plus, there's a fine selection of coffee and sci-fi books in the customer lounge! I expect that we'll be doing business with them for a long time.

I highly recommend Carriage House Automotive. While on a local trip, my Range Rover stopped working in Frederick, Md. I was two hours from home and my usual mechanic. I had it towed by AAA to Carriage House (it was the first auto repair shop that mentioned European cars). That was Sunday and by Monday afternoon the repair was complete for what I thought was a fair price. She s running like a charm again. I have been using Carriage House for years, but when I moved slightly away, I started using another garage. Well the other garage messed up a service, and I couldn't have been happier to go back to Carriage House where the work is always professionally done and they really know what they are doing. I let the air conditioning deteriorate in my 2011 Mini Cooper for two years and was skittish about taking to a repair shop but a contact recommended Carriage House as a reputable and reliable automotive repair shop that can work on European vehicles and foreign imports. The service was terrific. Within a short amount of time I was given a detailed assessment of the problem and the repair cost was quite reasonable. They now have a new regular customer. Mark even picked me up and gave me a ride to the shop one time when my car was there a bit. I find the service to be professional. As someone else said in another review, the repair work comes with an honest estimate and price, and they have stood behind their work. Honesty and integrity seem to be vanishing qualities, and I respect that about these guys. I don t live in the area, but I was visiting family. I usually do most of my own work but because I wasn t home I didn t have any tools with my. My car ( Mercedes e350 ) started shifting hard and and then went in to limp mode, from the behavior of the car I thought it could be a problem with a part the transmission. I called Carriage House Automotive be of all the reviews, just to see what the might say to me. You can a lot from a conversation, and in this case they were great. They are very knowledgeable and listened to my explanation and amateur diagnosis. And agreed that my diagnosis could be very likely as it s a common problem.Moreover, they made appointment room for me. I was calling last minute at the start of the week and fit me in. They re very accommodating. They the did the repair quickly and at a reasonable price. And found another issue I ll probably have to address.Good, friendly service.Service: Transmission

Great experience! I needed my tires checked because I kept losing air and they found metal in one of my tires that required a new tire. I told them I was not trying to replace more than one tire (another one was completely bald) because I was trading my car in, in a couple of weeks. They were kind and respectful of my wishes, didn t push to sell me the priciest tires, and delivered fast service. Overall, great experience and I highly recommend.Service: Tires

I took my car to carriage house for a 2nd opinion. They checked my car out and told me exactly what I should do to to fix the problem. Spot on correct. Clean, beautiful (if an auto place can be) , very nice employees that went way above par explaining to a non auto person what to do. Thanks Mike and Mark. Mark and his team are incredibly professional, skilled and honest. From the moment I called and spoke with him I felt comfortable and knew I was in good hands. After dropping off my car he would follow up with phone calls to update me and answer any questions or concerns. My Subaru Impreza is now running flawlessly.
