Great shop! They do good work in a timely manner, have fair prices, and are very kind. Ive never been talked down to or made to feel incompetent like myself and many other femmes have at other auto shops. I also appreciate the ability to drop off my key in an envelope after hours as I usually cannot get there while theyre open. Overall fantastic experience, would highly recommend!Services: Brakes, Oil change

I don't often write reviews but want anyone who is looking for excellent auto service to know Days Joppa Auto Care is a family owned business and has been my family's car service shop for decades now. They are extremely knowledgeable, honest, fair and friendly. They work hard for you and I trust them completely. These are the qualities I want in a business. I truly appreciate having a reliable place to take my car. Plus they care about their customers. So I highly recommend them for your family's car service needs.

I came in to have an inspection done. Was told to drop the vehicle off between 8-9am. I dropped it off at 8:15am. Come back 2 hours later and my vehicle isn t even being worked on because they say they have other vehicles they are working on. I went ahead and spoke to the manager. Very rude and unprofessional to the point where she hung up on me. This business shouldn t even be around. You should not say that you do not make appointments & then when we are one of the first vehicles to be dropped off not work on it until whatever time you want. Makes no sense the system they have.

I got a screw in my tire and started losing air fast and started calling around to the nearest tires shops because I'm not from the area. All of the places I called said if they could do anything at all it would be hours later because they were busy or booked up for the day.. I pulled into their lot about 6 mins after my warning light was on .. Just happened to see it as I panicked looking for any where to fix the tire. I walked into the office a lady immediately asked if she could help me, then a guy came right out to see what he could do. About 10 mins later I was plugged and back on the road.. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE... Everyone was friendly and beyond accommodating, for me to just walk in and ask if they plugged tires. I had no idea about that place before today but I'd definitely recommend them from here on out.. Thanks again for helping me. I was the guy with the silver 20 Jetta...

Speed: In and out within 2 hours, and that's saying something considering my issue required some digging into the dashboard.Environment: A very homely place, somewhere I wouldn't mind working at myself.Staff: No-nonsense, friendly group of 5 or 6 mechanics with great experience.Price: What you'd expect.____________Verdict: A great place for any auto issues. Been there a few times myself, and every time was sublime.

My car broke down on the highway and the tow truck driver recommended Day's Joppa Auto Care. They were great! Very friendly and quick, they replaced the broken belt and had me driving again in about an hour. Everyone was very nice and helpful and their kindness and professionalism was much appreciated.

I was driving from Washington DC to Long Island NY on 10/20/2012 when I had a tire problem (slow deflation) on I-95. I made it to the Joppa exit ramp and put air in the tire at a quick mart/gas station. Not wanting to press on to a travel plaza for a tire repair I went to the nearby Day s Joppa Auto Repair. They were able to help me immediately. When they pulled the bad front tire we found an unusual wear pattern that had worn one side down to the inner cord. Continued driving could have caused the tire to go flat again and possibly come apart. The other front tire was in a similar but less severe condition. I purchased a new set of front tires and an alignment to help with the wear pattern. They were able to get me back on the road in about an hour. As it was more than a simple flat tire, stopping there allowed me to get the problem fixed and continue my road trip.I found that Lissa, the general manager, and mechanics to be courteous, helpful and businesslike. The pricing and the services provided were right on the mark. I was pleased with the outcome and would use them again if I lived in the area.

Finding an honest mechanic is often hard. Finding one with reasonable rates and decades of experience is even harder. Day's Auto Care is a small town repair shop with mechanics who know what they're doing, and will get your car back on the road- without offering to refill your headlight fluid or replace perfectly good parts.

The tow driver brought me and my truck here. He said that the shop was close, competitive and wouldn't try to rip me off.It was near closing time, and they still pulled codes, and did a couple of tests to verify that ma Cat was clogged. This was over-the-top for them to even look at it so close to closing time. Then, they gave me suggestions for a nearby rental car place, or the motel across the street.finally, the owner stayed with me, agfter closing, to wait for my Uber to the airport, since there were no rental cars available nearby.

I drive between NC & NY twice a month. I was blessed to be close to Days Auto Care today. My car overheated & the radiator had to be replaced. Got to their shop around 2 pm. They made @ least 5 calls to locate a replacement radiator & they found one to be delivered asap.I really didn't want to spend a night in a motel. I was back on the road road by 4:30. Unbelievable.Sam, Heather & the guys in the back were fantastic. If I ever break down again in Maryland "God forbid" I pray I"ll be close to Days Auto Care. Thanks again Sam & Heather.

Well known by locals as one of the biggest ripoff shops around. Had both a truck and a trailer inspected here before I knew better. They wanted $700 each in repairs. Took them a mile up the road and easily passed both. More lawsuits than Donald Trump filed against them. Steer clear unless you just want to browse the Rvs next door.

I've been going there fo over 20 years and the best thing I can say is they are trustful. Will never tell you that something is wrong with your vehicle when it's not. Will work with you as much as they can. I can't say enough good things about them.

Avoid this mechanic at all costs!Poor customer service, and they misdiagnosed my uncle's car problem.Normally, I would not be around Joppa to do anything, because I live in Silver Spring, near DC.My uncle drove from Queens NY to come visit, and his car started having electrical problems, so they stopped at Day's Joppa Auto Care, their nearest repair shop at that moment. The initial diagnostic was a faulty alternator. They replaced the alternator, then changed the diagnostic to a faulty onboard pc that wasn't routing the electrical correctly. They hooked up the battery directly, bypassing the newly installed alternator so that my uncle could finish the trip. This was done June 26, 2015Needless to say, I had to jumpstart my uncle's Explorer before his trip back home to NY, where he took the car to his usual mechanic shop. Faulty computer problem, nope. The problem was... get ready: "a bad alternator." The newly installed alternator was bad. And the bypass did not work, and the battery was now also defective. The problem was fixed in NY with a new working alternator, and a new battery.I went to NY last week to visit my uncle for his birthday, and he asked me to return the defective alternator upon my return. So this is where I come in.On Wednesday, July 22 2015, I visited Day's Joppa Auto Care, a 55 mile drive for me from home. I walked in to the office and explained the problem.Immediately, the person which appeared to be the manager/owner, said that my uncle had not followed the correct procedure, and they should have had the defective part replaced in Advance Auto in NY. They said that they could not do anything, and that I should go to Advanced, a few blocks away to confirm the part is defective, and that "maybe" they would return the money paid for the part.Having traveled 55 miles with two small kids, and my 92 year old grandfather, I wasn't going to waste my time explaining to their staff what good customer service and ownership means. My uncle did not buy the part from advanced, he paid Day's for the part.I did however, go to Advanced as they told me to do. In Advanced, they confirmed that the part was defective and gave me a full refund for the part. The full refund for the alternator was $119.24. I guess I should be satisfied with getting money back for the part. So I looked at Day's receipt to confirm the amount... $249.95.My uncle was charged by Day's $249.95 for the $119 part. More than double the cost!!!I returned to Day's to request the remaining amount of money, explaining that Advanced took the part back and gave me a full refund of the $119, and requesting that they give me the remaining $130 they charged for the part. The manager said: "No." I'm not going to give you anything. You didn't follow proper procedure. I respectfully said... I'm here now, and this alternator has traveled more than 500 miles to come back, right now I don't care about procedure. The second person in the room then told me: It traveled 500 miles for nothing, that's not how it was suppose to be done. The manager than proceeded to saying: "I'm not giving it back. You can sue me."This business should be avoided by anybody potentially doing business with them. Not only are you paying excessively more for parts, but their labor is also unreliable. On top of just their basic business problems, their customer service is reprehensible.Avoid yourselves a headache. Never go to Day's Joppa Auto Care.

Please, AVOID AVOID AVOID this place. They are not professional!! Towing company took me there to fix my ttruck's wheel. They changed oil too. Because of there low coustomer service we had an argue. Then he charged me triple and said a few f words. As soon as I left this shop the engine started shaking, and after a mile check engine light turned on. Now, I have to spend up to $3000 to fix my truck.
