Took car in for intake valve then they said fuel pump which takes 2 hours to repair car supposedly be ready on Monday continue to call car ready on Wednesday then was told after they worked on my car that I also needed fuel box and my injection wire was chewed by a mouse funny and then they up my price for $200 more then what was already given wow and after all that once I finally got the car all my head lights once turn on just blanks like go go lights because they wasn t like that before they changed my fuel box or wire but of course they don t own up to nothing and Mr. Abdul very very rude never again. FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE WOW!

My entire family comes to Forest auto to get our cars serviced. I would definitely recommend coming here. This gotta be me 5-6 time being back here lol

PLEASE DONT GO TO THIS BUSINESS THEY WILL SCAMM YOU. I took my car to get rotors done, they cut my control arm off my car just so I could come back and spend more money.. Then Tried To Tell me it was bad and probably was rusty and fell off.. how when if you clearly look at the metal where it was cut there s no rust at all!!

We're traveling over 16 hours away and had car trouble. They got us in and repaired quickly for a fair price. 100% recommend this shop.

Abdul and his crew are absolutely wonderful! They give fair pricing and complete your service in a timely manner. They also take great care of my 80 y.o. Mom when she brings in her vehicles!

Good service. Good people. I am always satisfied. And very appropriate prices.For those who are not too versed in mechanics, please ask. You will be pleasantly surprised at how much you will understand after the ins and outs are explained in layman's english!

I met Abdul in 2003 when he worked at Citgo. I followed him to his current location when he opened his own shop. He has always been honest with his work and fair with pricing. The mechanics know their cars very well. Take your car there with confidence knowing that it will be serviced correct the first time.

This place is a scam and the manager is very chauvinistic in his comments. He told me things like "be quiet 2 men are talking" and then said "have your husband call me so I can explain the situation to him then maybe you'll understand". I took my car there for a check engine check. I was told I needed a tune up and 1 coil replaced. I was told the price for the repair and agreed to the services. I picked my car up at 2 p.m. and drove for 45 minutes and my check engine light came on again. I immediately called and spoke with the manager Cornell and told him my check engine light was on again. He told me to bring the car back and when I brought the car back one of the mechanics plugged a device to my car and explained it is my Cadillac converter. The manager then told me that it's not that the Cadillac converter was gone bad but that it was dirty. He advised my husband to purchase a Cadillac converter cleaner, which we were to insert an our gas tank, and then fill our car up with gas twice.I was told if the check engine light had not turned off to return in 2 weeks. I called the shop back after going to another auto repair shop where I was told I would need to replace the 02 sensor and not the Cadillac converter this was all within a two-day time period. When I spoke with the manager again I told him that I paid to have my check engine light checkedand they should have found everything that was wrong with the car that day he then proceeded to tell me that he told me about the Cadillac converter and the censor, which he never did, nor was that written on my receipt. Personally, I believe the shop purposely did not tell me about the O2 sensor and hopes that after two weeks I'd return and find my O2 sensor also needed to be replaced so they could then charge me labor fees for a second time. I would not recommend anyone take their car there for service, it is definitely a rip-off and the manager is very disrespectful to customers. Furthermore, I asked for the owner's contact information and the manager refused to give it to me. As a matter of fact, he told me if I wanted to speak to the owner I will need to come in person and speak with him on the phone there. I told him I could come in and speak with the owner and asked what time they would be closing the manager told me 7 p.m. I told him I will be there by 6:10 pm. When I arrived the shot was closed.I also believe that was done in spite because the shop closed at 5:00 and as a manager he must have known that. I just don't understand why he would treat a customer like this or why he would decline giving me the owners contact information. If he was honest and did nothing wrong he would have provided me with the owner's contact information.

What an experience! I called in to get a quote on a serpentine belt tensioner for my 2004 Audi A4 3.0 v6. I dropped off my car in the morning and it was ready by COB. He even allowed me to bring my own parts! That, plus his straight forward labor pricing, saved me almost 75% compared to a dealer! I was so impressed that I left my '95 M3 to have it's tie rods checked on. I can't wait to get that back so I can give another great review.

The prices are fair and I've heard nothing but good things about the service from my family, but today: Abdul failed to confirm when or if I even wanted to start the work. I was waiting and wondering what was taking him so long to discuss next steps, and I asked if he'd taken my car down yet. Apparently they'd already taken off the parts so he decided to charge me $45 for "wasting his time." And I "should have spoken up and let him know" I wouldn't be able to do it today. In addition to that, he lied, claiming I had said "OK, go ahead and start the work." Rude and unreasonable.

An honest mechanic, fair and competitive pricing, realistic expectations?? Yes, that exists here at Forest Auto. Considered family, because they have served my family for 20+ years. I know, if I bring my automobile here and they tell me to junk it and get a new car, or that they cannot beat the price my dealership quoted, their suggestions and advice come from the most honest of places.

I found a new auto shop. being a woman most men think the women doesn't have a sense of car care, I love Mr.Adbul he kind fair and Honest. pricing is great and service is too. I found a new auto shop for life. Ask for Mr. Abdul.

My family been using Abdul shop for years even before this location (20years plus) and no issues love their work. We recommend everybody we meet and they come out extremely happy and it their go to mechanic.

Abdul was recommended to me by someone who has been going to him for years, I had my breaks and a cailber changed for the lowest price i was quoted. the work was done in a day and have recommended his service to all of my family that drives. If you can get your car there before they open your car will be fixed and ready for you by the Close of business. He is a good businessman and doesn't try to sell you on anything else being wrong with your car.

Abdul is a master mechanic and business owner...Pepboys misdiagnosed my car and was trying to charge $3300..Abdul correctly diagnosed my car issue..explained it in detail and fixed the problem for $335...I hoghly recommend this shop..thank you Adbul

It s the only place I have taken my cars over the years& the staff is very friendly, prices are fair, always fast with calling you to inform you the issues with the car, and usually get the car back same day, or next day if need be.Never have had to take it back for same issue that it came in for. I always recommend them to people.

Went here to get my 09 challenger srt8 spark plugs changed. Drove the car for 3 months car wasn t getting power, took to dealership to have a diagnostics and was told the spark plugs that was put on my car was the wrong ones and wasn t producing enough power to circulate the fluid thru to the engine which caused my fuel system to lean. Call Forest Auto to let them know that the spark plugs they put in were incorrect and that I now had almost $7000 in repairs fees all for Muhammad to tell me that he had been working on cars for over 39 yrs and never heard of anything like that, even though I had written proof from my local dodge dealership. This place was fast and sounded knowledgeable at first but in the end caused even more problems. I highly recommend Exxon Auto at 2651 benning rd ne. Fixed my car back to like new in 2 days and was clearly able to show me the differences between the 2 spark plugs. I DONT NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE!!!

Wow, guess somebody had a bad day. I've been going to see Abdul at Forest Auto for years, about 5 or 6. The parking lot is always crowded and there are always people waiting to get their cars fixed, so the man must be doing something right. There has only been 2 times when I had to leave my car overnight and that was because a part had to be ordered. If I drop my car off at 7am it is ALWAYS ready by the time I get there at 5-6pm. He'll even wait after they close(5pm) to ensure you get the keys to your vehicle. His pricing is very reasonable, in fact, it's the reason I continue to see him and he does good work. I've only had 1 experience where he couldn't fix something and I had to take it to the dealer to run a diagnostic, and he reimbursed me for the cost of it. (NVR would I have expected this) The staff is friendly and helpful and make you feel your business is appreciated. I take both of my vehicles to Forest Auto, along with a slew of my neighbors, friends/acquaintances I run into all the time who have been going to him longer than I have. I've had body work done here, timing belt/pump, alternator, shocks, muffler, radiator, ABS & brakes, catalytic converter; so I trust the work on my car(s) and I own a recent model Acura and Lexus which I don't take to 'anybody'.To the reviewer below, I'm not sure why you had to walk 3 miles in the 'blistering' cold since it's a bus stop right out front of the shop going in the direction of DC (addison road, suitland, so. ave metro) and one directly across the street going the other way towards upper marlboro/mitchelville. The last time I checked Metro and PG county buses run after 6:30 7 days a week. Oh, and I've NEVER seen any mechanic working on anyones car after 5pm, as the owner is the only one left and everything is locked up, including the shop! Not to disagree with anyone but I guess everyone isn't always going to be a happy customer. But I've never seen anyone leave mad.

Abdul (owner) is the only auto mechanic I trust. He will give you an honest estimate of parts and labor. He will tell if thr repair is needed or cosmetic. Friendly staff.

Love forest auto I take all my cars there for service and also I am the store manager of Valvoline express care, so any problems that occure I cant deal with I send them there asap.. He's very honest and do very good work.. and like everyone said you drop your car off in the am it will be done at close of business unless he couldn't find your parts..

Abdul has serviced multiple vehicles for my family from a Mercedes SUV, a 5 series BMW, a Honda Accord and a Nissan Versa and he was equally knowledgeable of all. Most often same day service and very fair pricing.

Very disappointed in their new bogus "shop supplies' fees that they just started charging as if its My responsibility to pay for Their Dollar Tree grease rags! I think Not!
