First class operation. Problem with front wheel, bearing, diagnosed first time and fixed properly right away in a timely fashion couldn t be happier. And the price was right.

Probably the most honest guy out there. He doesn't rely on any kind of down payment beforehand, he purely uses trust and honesty, so show it back to him!Also, if you ever wind up working for him, always remember:"It's never Severn's fault!"

Best mechanic I ever knew! Had stood beside my car, listened carefully and diagnosed the problem, saving me from replacing the engine as another shop recommended. Since it was a simple fix, he didn't even charge me! Honest as the day is long. Highly, highly recommended!

Honest, eager to help, and great customer service. Always happy to support small businesses when it feels like family like when you go to Severn. They've gone above and beyond to save my butt multiple times! Super reasonably priced. Cheapest oil change around! You won't regret sending your car here! Just be aware it's a little hard to find. They are located down a road behind a house so drive slow when you're looking for it.

Severn is family, really, and an A+ mechanic. My parents use him. I take all our cars to him. Honest as the day is long, great turnaround with a little planning.

We have a 2004 Jetta and the sensor light went on. We called Severn and he told us to bring the car right over. He ran a diagnostic on the car and found it was the mass flow sensor. He said it may not be a problem so he was able to turn the sensor notification off. He told us to let him know when and if the light comes back on. Could be 1 day or 6 months. There was no charge for any of this. Volkswagen charges $85.00 for a diagnostic and they go ahead and replace it whether it s serious or not. Severn is such a decent guy and so knowledgeable. It s like taking your car to a friend. We feel lucky to have found him.Service: Engine repair

The other reviews got it right... Severn is a gem. Knowledgeable, personable and affordable -- a winning combo for a mechanic! He's been a true blessing for my car(s), and most of my other family members now go to him now too. (Severn has a great family, too!)

Severn Performance is simply the BEST!!!!! If you are looking for an honest mechanic that will fix your car for a reasonable rate, Severn is your guy. His shop is a bit hidden right of Crownsville Road and you would miss it if you don't know the location. Severn Performance is this little secret you want to keep to yourself as you know how hard it is to find a great mechanic at a reasonable rate. Severn is the real deal and his expertise is far beyond any other car mechanic I have ever met. Severn races cars during his time off and knows engines inside out. Once you use Severn Performance, you will never use another car mechanic.

1st time using their service for an oil change. Also requested they compare dealership recommended work quoted at $1,000. None of which was needed and my car is running great!
