I m on a three month RV trip and my tow vehicle a/c compressor died on me in South Carolina. Didn t have time to fix until arriving in Maryland, and found Meineke was only about four miles from the RV park, AND they had great reviews. I made an appointment, and the next day they were able to diagnose and confirm the compressor was bad. Replacement repair was done in quick order, and I picked up my truck the next day. They even offered me a ride and pick up from the RV park. Great service at a fair price. No complaints at all. I would definitely recommend this shop if you are local to College Park MD, or passing through and need service or repair.

They told me that they do state inspections, but they actually take your car to a different Meineke location to do this. They did not keep me posted about my car; after waiting 4 hours I called and was told to "come back in an hour"; I did and my car still wasn't back at their shop. My service should have taken 2 hours and ended up taking 6 hours. They need to better communicate that they don't actually offer state inspection at this location.

How much are oil changes here? I can't find that information anywhere on the site and wasn't quoted a price when I booked my appointment, even after inputting all my cars information. Just curious, thanks. UPDATE: I called and was quoted a price of $49.99 for a full synthetic oil change, which comes with a 23 point inspection. When I got there, they said it would actually be $89.99. I had a $10 off coupon and was in a hurry, so I just agreed to it. When I picked-up my car, there was an additional "Shop Supplies" fee, which they said is standard; but of course never told me about it when I asked the price. I switched my rating from 5 to 1; the service was worth a star b/c it's pretty good, but if you're looking for an honest car care center, you might want to keep looking.

I ve lived a long time and owned many vehicles and I ve dealt with many auto mechanics. The mechanics here are excellent! The facilities are clean! the customer service is A1!I made an appointment online; it was kept; the prices were reasonable; I am more than satisfied!!

My car was vibrating for about a week and I've decided to take it to Meineke Car Care Center to get it checked out. The young lady at the front desk was very nice, smart and kind. It was determined that I needed 4 new tires along with a front end/wheel alignment. Nonetheless, I caved in. I'm glad I did. My car runs like new. Did I mention that the front wheel alignment was free??!!!! Meineke Car Care Center in College Park is where I will continue to go to get the care my vehicle needs. Thank You!

The Meineke crew came to the rescue recently when the two rear car tires picked up nails from the Purple Line Construction and threatened to flatten both of them. I arrived there with no appointment and explained the situation. They had my car road ready in under 30 minutes! Thanks guys!

They offered a great veterans day deal. I did have a hour long wait time and it was stressful to not know why but they were nice and helped me once their front staff appeared. The front desk staff are very nice and the mechanics.Update weeks later:I had to update my review because the great experience I had went from free oil change for veterans to fixing an electrical issue and replacing my pads/rotors to more electrical issues and a waste of time and money. Now I have to seek a second opinion because my car may be worse and I may have been misled. i tried to resolve this but the manager is never available. It would be nice to speak with a corporate manager

I went to get my oil changed yesterday when I was greeted by a cheerful, young lady behind the desk. I checked in for my oil change and verified whether or not a tire rotation was included with my service. She said yes . I asked her, How long will it take? . She said, roughly an hour , which I was OK with Less than 20 minutes later my name is being called saying that my vehicle was ready. I paid and left. After driving off I realized that my tire that needed air located on the rear passenger side was still in the same location prior to me getting my oil change. Hence, the very reason I asked if my tire will be rotated because they would need to add air to it to balance the tire out. However, this only tells me that my tire was not rotated at all. It s also makes me question the validity of the service I paid and if it actually occur. I have been to this location several times in the past when the past owner was there, and never had any issues. This is my second time being serviced at this location under the new ownership, and I am not pleased once again. I do not recommend this location at all nor will I be returning back to this location.

I went in for an oil change and was seen pretty much immediately. I was only there about 30 minutes. It was great service. Emma at the front desk was very nice, and my truck was running like a new vehicle when I had it back on the road. Meineke provided excellent service!

I m usually pleased with them. This last visit though, I got there as soon as they opened. I was the second person to show up. Several people who arrived after me were seen and left long before I did. And most did not mention they had an appointment. I don t understand how that happened. I left to pass the time, the front desk said they would call me when my car was ready, and they didn t. Also charging $36 to change wiper blades feels excessive. I ve gotten oil changes for less money at this location. I miss the old manager.

Went to this shop bc my brake system was being funny and got charged $1300 for an alternator replacement. First of all I didn t even ask for them to do that. Secondly there s no way that sht should ve costed more than $500-800. They even said they d throw in a rear windshield wiper for free bc they saw i needed it replaced and still charged it in the final receipt. Seems like they re low on money these days.

I really can't say enough about how excellent the service is here. Sam was incredibly polite and very thorough when explaining what was wrong with our vehicle. We flew in from Michigan and picked up a vehicle we won at the auction. We needed a few things done to it in order to drive it home that weekend and be back in time for work on Monday. Sam and his team worked on our vehicle and made sure it was all completed before the end of the day!

After sitting at Firestone for a week, only for them to tell me they there is an issue with my exhaust. I took it to Meineke. The technician quickly diagnosed and went to work, without a test drive.I thought a test drive may aid their diagnosis. I think it s mostly better with the pipe replacement performed.It was a little pricey for the time and service provided. $435.I think it was done in 90 minutes.Service: Exhaust

This place staff members are so kind and professional. I brought my car in to get a quote on my sticking trunk and the professional staff identified the problem and applied some lubricant and now the problem is gone. Thanks to them!

I had an alternator replaced on a 2013 Corolla with repair and parts at the price tag of $851.00. Asked why so much. The reason because they do not use refurbished parts. Then I received a discount which brought the bill down to $777.00. I have never in my life experience this. Really disappointed.

I'm always extremely greatful about all work they've done on my vehicle. I highly recommend this shop. However, to keep this 5 star review and comments I recommend the mechanics use paper floor mats to protect the customers mats. My last visit resulted with shop dirt tracked on my mat. I have been coming here for 5 years and today will be the last day I ever patronize Meineke.I was charged for synthetic oil change and all they did was change my oil, no tire rotation was done. I was watching them from the service window.The manager was not around and tell me why this dude punched in a rate into the POS and printed a flimsy generic receipt without the usual printout of the service rendered on the Meineke letter head. Crooks! I asked him for the service breakdown and his excuse was that the manager is out and he expected me to wait for the manager in the waiting area with no A/C or heat, the door was propped open and a cleaning lady vacuuming the waiting area.I showed my previous meineke receipts to the individual who was covering for the manager to show he was charging me the wrong rate. He had the nerve to tell me I got full synthetic not half synthetic oil.My previous Meineke oil changes has been the synthetic with tire rotation and all, it was clearly written on the receipts I showed him. Bunch of crooks!I miss the old crew. These new set of folks are incompetent.Edit: please go to the silver spring location if you are looking for quality service. I was very pleased with the service Meinke provided. I made an appt. for an oil change and tire rotation. I didn't have to wait long-abt 15 min. So I was very happy. The mechanic was done with my oil change and tire rotation in good time. The waiting room was hot. They had a heavy duty tower fan blowing to help cool the room. It did help. My husband and I have our cars serviced there. We will return for service in the future.

Perfect impeccable service. Straightforward and polite attention. You will get what you need for your car and will be given the options you can take and how each one will work out. Just got my car back and it's the smoothest drive I've had in it for a while! I trust them, when needed, I will come back here. My husband now has decided to bring his car here as well when needed.The prices are the right prices. They do things right from the moment you ask for a quote. I fully recommend them.

This place runs very friendly and efficiently. They took care of my car as soon as I arrived. Free diagnose and estimate. GR is an excellent manager. Alex and other technicians are very professional. I will always take my car there!
