Jake and his techs are very knowledgeable and dependable, and most importantly honest, From the very first time I went in there a couple years ago they were honest with me about my diesel truck, jake has not steer me the wrong way at all In the two years I ve been using them to do my service performance and repairs. They make things very easy in there and are very responsive to customers. I truly would not send my diesel truck to another shop, needless to say Jake and everybody involved in the operation is amazing

Just when I thought there was no reliable Diesel shops that can be trusted around then I found these guys! Man, they know their stuff! Extremely happy with the quality and attention to detail they put into every bolt they touch never skipping one step. I m super particular and glad I found out about them. You guys will always have my business. I will never take my vehicles anywhere else For Diesel work period !

The bottom line:Jake s Diesel provided me with honest service at an awesome rate.The short:Had an oil leak. Jake diagnosed it, fixed it, and gave me recommendations for possible future repairs/mods instead of trying to have me do repairs/work for no reason.The details:I had a 7.3 PSD F250 and sold it years ago, I regretted that. I found a 01 Excursion 7.3PSD that had an oil leak from an unknown place. I rolled the dice on it.The Maryland inspection station tried to gouge me for 1200$ to replace marker lamps, an emergency brake switch, and a chipped windshield. A 50$ trip to the junkyard, 15 minutes of my time, and $130 at Safelite for the windshield repair was all that was needed, instead of paying them 1200$. Insane.The inspection station diagnosed my oil leak as the timing chain cover gasket needing replaced with an estimate of 6K, on top of the 1200$ for 15 minutes of work. I decided to get a second opinion.I found Jakes Diesel when I searched for a Diesel specialist for that second opinion. I night-dropped the Excursion without telling back story, I just asked to diagnose the leak.A few days later I get a phone call saying it was repaired. Jake determined the crank case vent (CCV) seals were bad and handled it. He explained the CCV seal leak was minor and may have made a manageable leak seem like a disastrous one. He recommended I keep an eye on my oil pan gasket, which has a very slow leak in one spot, and get back with him in 6 months or if something changes. In other words, its not a problem yet, hold off for now.Here, Jake s Diesel didn t try and rip me off or gouge me, and earned my trust. There will come a time for an engine pull but it wasn t necessary and Jake made that clear. There are plenty of places around like this, but they are extremely hard to find. Because of my schedule I haven t met Jake in person to shake his hand and bullsh*t about Powerstrokes, but I will be returning with whatever I need done even if its minor.

Fantastic customer service, and an incredibly knowledgeable owner. I was SOL when my Ram 2500 tried to go into limp mode right before I had to go on a long trip, and Jake fixed my truck just in time. 10/10 would recommend to anyone.

Called Jake to get set up for some major repairs and maintenance on my duramax. He politely informed me that he mostly specializes on ford and that he has a recommended shop for me to use. Jake is an honest and trustworthy businessman who if I ever purchase a Ford will have my business. Thank you again.

Jake is a very honest and knowledgable mechanic. I have had Jake's work on my truck a couple times now and have been extremely satisfied with both experiences. He is a younger guy who has the passion and desire to help all his customers. I 100% recommend this business to anyone looking for a solid diesel mechanic.

100% recommend for any and all service. Everything from simple oil change to full on 6.0 proofing the 6.0. I was sold an absolute disaster of a 6.0 f250 and thanks to Jake and the crew we mitigated it into a reliable daily/ kinda spicy tire killer. If you are familiar with the platform you know what that entails. Jakes Diesel is the number 1 shop in the central MD area. From new batteries and electrical upgrades, oil leak repair, complete lift kits, turbo and fueling upgrades and beyond, He has helped build my truck into my dream truck. Jake completely rebuilt my entire engine from bottom to top in my 2004 Ford 350 diesel super duty truck. It runs like a dream. If I was able to rate higher than 5 stars, I would!!! Outstanding service at very reasonable prices. 2008 F350 was running horrible and needed attention. Jake was able help me sort out my issues and was very accommodating, answering all my silly questions along the way. I've found my permanent diesel mechanic in the area. Finding a knowledgeable diesel mechanic outside of the dealerships is a real challenge in this area. Jake knows his stuff, particularly Powerstrokes, backwards and forwards. Very honest, I came in thinking I had a much more expensive problem once and he found it to be something very simple (and much less money) to fix. The dealership would have just said it was the more expensive repair. He also figured out a nagging vacuum problem I had that nobody had been able to find previously and in the process realized that it was also effecting my auto-locking hubs. Very thorough. I highly recommend.

I like Jake. It's a smaller operation and he knows his way around powerstrokes, at least he knew the way to talk about. It I got a pil change before a long trip and it was fast in by 8 out by 9 he is an early riser and hard worker. I also separately went for him to look at my front end. He was super honest Saud that he could do the job but doesn't see the need to do it just yet. As it's not that bad and it'd be expensive to just do it for this one time. Unbiased fair and reasonable. I'd go back easy.

This guy is absolutely amazing. I was passing through the area and really needed some help (thousands of miles away from my regular diesel mechanic) and he was incredibly accommodating to help me out. Not only that, but he did a great job and took care of a bunch of stuff for me.Even months afterward, when I was back home and thousands of miles away, he was still very helpful in answering questions and sending me another receipt.

I just want to say Jake is a wonderful and honest man. he won't beat around the bush and sweet talk you into things you don't need. I gave him my 2005 ford f-350 6.0 powerstroke it was sitting for years ! this man got it up and running in less then a week . remind you i told him a budget i wanted to stay in, if it went over that budget i told him to just forget it . my final bill was extremely with in the budget range he manage to squeeze in other things like a new egr and 2 new warranty batteries along with a new starter ! and a bunch of little things here and there to make the truck be functional to drive home!! after it was sitting for so long. Jake knows what's he doing. can be a bit tricky to find an open spot in his schedule, but once in, he's always early and delivers great work at a great price. Great addition to the rather skimpy diesel mechanics offering in the area.
