Otis & Jameel at Sons of Otis Auto really treat you like friends and make sure they get the job done right the FIRST TIME. Without a scheduled appointment I called the day before to express my concerns and I was given availability the following day. My partner had work done their previously and I wanted to give them a try. Not only did the team members took care of my lingering issues but and they also made recommendations to help me address my concerns, told me the names of the parts so I could purchase them myself and only charged me for the labor. Ultimately the prices are reasonable and dropping your car off is a great option. I dropped my car off at 8 am when they opened and picked it back up around 3pm the same day. I d highly recommend this Black Family Owned business if you have auto needs within the PG County area, you will not be disappointed!

Buyer BEWARE!!Friendly staff at locally & black owned shop, but they demonstrated questionable scruples & expertise.Tech put the wrong brake pads on my car then charged me again when after driving I discovered the issue & asked them to install the correct pads. The tech (as the expert ) should have noticed the pads did not fit properly & opted not to install them, instead of double charging the client.We try to support small, local shops, but when they fail to deliver quality service, choose not to take responsibility for their failure in technical expertise, & then seek to pass along the costs of their mistakes to the customer this all leaves a negative impression & ensures that my family & I will spend our money elsewhere.Buyer BEWARE!!Service: Auto brake repair

Otis and Son's are the best around. I had a major tune-tune, pilot bushing replace and they replaced the oil level sensor on my Mercedes Benz. Otis and Sons were very knowledgeable of what needed to be done on my car. The mechanic Jamell provided the service and was very professional. When I asked him questions about the vehicle he answer them without hesitation.I asked him to check my brakes due to a faulty reading on the dash board. He could have said, yes you need some brakes but instead he was honest and told me nothing was wrong with my brakes. Otis & Son's are now my go to mechanics for all of my family car repairs. Note, always pay your mechanic with credit cards so that you can protect yourself. I only use these guys because my neighbor recommended them to me. My neighbor also has a BMW but I don t know what the heck he was talking about with these guys.I previously left them a great five star review. I am editing this review because they created a problem with my BMW that took me months and thousands to figure out. They are not BMW mechanics nor do they have the correct tools to balance that sort of vehicle. I paid a what I thought was a decent price for installing shocks. Shorty after the install, my car started sagging again. I brought the car back and was told my issue was an air compressor pump. They charged me to install it and then it happened again. Long story short after taking it to BMW specialist and not trying to go the cheap option, the issue was diagnosed within minutes. I am not exaggerating either. There is a certain level of balancing and computer resetting when installing shocks. The mechanic at Otis and son removed the fuse to mask the issue because he knew that the pump was running nonstop. And this is why I have a problem with the service. Furthermore the reason why my air pump was running nonstop was because the mechanic at Otis and son installed the hoses incorrectly.There are three mechanics that I see there not one of them could follow up to make sure that there was any follow-through quality control.Service: General repairs & maintenance

This place is truly amazing, also family owned. They are fair with prices regardless if male or FEMALE customer. They found issues with my truck that the dealership missed and fixed it for me with a more reasonable price. Friendly atmosphere and they actually explain and answer questions about repairs made. I have now started recommending them to family and friends...definitely worth the money and trust of your vehicle.

I called Thursday to see if I could have a blend door actuator issue fixed. On Saturday, when i called to check on the status, i was finally told that the passenger side blend door actuator was actually the problem, not the center one that i thought was the issue. I don t believe it was actually the issue due to the amount of noise coming from the center one. They also told me that if i wanted to use American Express to pay, that it would be a 10% charge, but could not be provided with any policy written stating such. Customer service was not good, nor friendly.

Ive been coming here for several years. Ive never had a problem with this company. I even came to find out how honest they were when i brought in a part to be replaced and the son told me it wasnt necessary when i came to pick it u when the car was ready. He said the assumed issue wasnt the problem. He gave me back the part so we could get our refund at the auto parts store. I dont know many mechanics that would do that. They wouldve kept the part and profited from it. Sons of Otis is highly recommeded by me. My name is Paul Curling and i approve this message :)Keep up the good work. Extremely honest and best prices around after calling 5 other shops in the area for work on my BMW 750li . The work was superior to other shops around town. The environment was extremely friendly and inviting, where you feel more like family than just a valued customer. I highly recommend Mr Otis and his boys, guaranteed you won't be disappointed!

My car's engine kept shutting down when I drove it about 20 miles. After taking it to Sons of Otis Auto Repair, their mechanic Stick told me it needed a new fuel pump and replaced it. After driving it 200 miles the day after he repaired it, it hasnt shut down on me since. I highly recommend Sons of Otis. Excellent service. They allow you to bring your own parts and fix exactly what is needed. Normally Hard to trust mechanics. This place gives you peace of mind.

I had a great experience getting a last minute pre purchase inspection on a Land Rover LR4 for my wife with these guys. They were able to provide an inspection within the hour of me calling them and sent me a break down of the results. I would recommend their services!

They do excellent work. Very friendly staff I've been a customer here for years. The mechanics are very knowledgeable and they take very good care of your vehicle. I'm so happy to have a honest and reasonable car repair shop to bring my vehicle.

I was highly impressed with their service. Only place in the local Washington DC I would refer a friend to get their vehicle serviced. Provide quality work and service you would expect from a mom & pop shop that takes great pride in their work.

This is a family-owned business. Nice people and they appear to do good work. However, I dont think that I would take my vehicle here again. I was not informed up front that I was being charged for a diagnosis of the same issue. Transparency is always key when dealing with someone's automobile.

I will never take my car here again!!! They over charge and try to get over any way they can. They half fix things and you leave with,a worse problem then you brought. Apparently they don't test drive the vehicles when they're done. When I got my car back it feel like any mechanic will let someone drive off their shop like this is trying to commit murder.

This Auto Repair shop has been the penical of the DMV! I have been going to this Auto Shop since high school when they where located in SE DC! This auto repair shop has always been resonable and accomadating in fixing any repair issue i have had with anything from Engine to Transmission! Roota to the Toota!!!! Family oriented business and know how to actually take care of there customers! Please remember to wear your mask (COVID-19)! Be very leery of this company they are scammers I called to get brake pads and rotors put on my vehicle that I already had in my possession from the manufacturer I called and ask a quote the service person wants to ask me about the size of my engine how many cylinders does it have to replace rotors and pads and cooling me $450 they will cheat you buyer beware
