I had an experience I could only dream of with a local shop. From the start of bringing my car in on the tow truck Affordable was open and direct in the diagnosis of my car's issues. Even though I'm from out of town and an obvious 1-time customer, James treated me like I was a long time regular at his shop. James went to great lengths to help me handle the various issues with my car and some specific requests since I live 90 minutes away and was ideal to work with. I can't recommend them strong enough and if for whatever reason I have car troubles in the Fredericksburg area again they will be my first and only choice.

Terrible customer service, had my car for 9 days for a job that took a few hours. Caught the owner trying to lie and tell me that he was going to do my timing belt for free if I gave him the $300 for the part in cash. I refused then went to pick up my car, he claims he lost my keys, called the police, finally provided me with my keys and forced me to pay an additional $200 for a total of $700. Come to find out, they did nothing on my car. That ugly owner will face karma 1 day!!!

Horrible experience. Spoke to someone who said to give them 30 minutes and they would service my car. Waited for an hour before they even looked at my car. He pulled my car in, told me it would be 40 minutes to get the part. I told him no thank you I don t want to wait and he said alright. The next hour and half was spent waiting for them to put the tires back on my car.

I had my school bus (skoolie) towed there after I broke down on a road trip. Although they assured me they could work on my short bus, it turned out they did not have the right lift. Instead of informing me of this they did a hack job of putting an old shifter cable on (see picture 2nd mechanic took showing all the rust on this "new" part). Not knowing any better, I paid $500 thinking my bus was fixed However I didn't get more than 2 miles before it broke down again, in the exact same way it did initially. I was able to get it back to the shop driving 4mph and they said there was nothing more they could do to it , they fixed what they thought was wrong without having the right lift to do anything further. I then had it towed to a shop that could work on larger vehicles where they informed me the "new" shifter cable they installed was old and rusted.. They suggested I sue Affordable Car care because what they did was wrong and caused an extra $700 for them to fix. I am beyond disappointed with the service I received and when I go back through the area I definitely will be filing a small claims suit against them.Service: Transmission
