I just recently took my vehicle here and was completely shocked by how much I was charged for a battery and diagnostic tests. I had also been charged a second diagnostic fee within a diagnostic fee! The office manager knew I was frazzled when bringing my car in and completely took advantage of my situation. Total at pick was over $600 for the battery which I was also overcharged for and the diagnostic tests. Will never recommend this garage to anyone.

Great service. My parents visited me from Virginia and when headed home they found the alternator needed to be replaced. Milex made room in their schedule, confirmed the issue, obtained the part with a discount, handled the core charge, replaced the part, checked everything else, and gave my father a report on the health of his honda odyssey. Milex gave a veterans discount and has them back in the road in about 4 hours.Really appreciate the excellent service and flexibility. They took a lot of stress out of a stressful situation.

We recently moved to Maryland and needed to have our vehicles inspected so that we could register them in Maryland. Milex was helpful with scheduling and was able to get us in promptly. The inspections revealed a couple of rather major repairs, but the price wasn't unreasonable. The office staff and the mechanic were friendly, helpful, professional, and honest. We're glad that Milex is just around the corner from our house. We can rely on them to help us take good care of our vehicles.

Great place for all your auto care and maintenance needs. Appointments preferred, but not necessary. Owner is very friendly, trustworthy, and knowledgeable. These guys are definitely not just out to get your money, but want to fix and maintain your vehicle.

Had the second half of previously noted repairs completed today. Since I didn't have a subbing job today, I brought a book and other projects with me to spend the day at the garage. The repairs needed were going to take most of the day. BJ said they would be happy to take me home and pick me up when everything was fixed! Wow! The team at Milex without a doubt sets the bar for auto service centers in the area! They take care of all three of our vehicles wether it be basic maintenance or major repair. What I like the most about this particular location is the shop is always clean and the staff are so friendly and care for your vehicle as if it was their own. My check engine light came on, they were able to see my car the next morning. They diagnosed my issues, repaired them, saved me money on the parts, and recommended tire pricing for the future. Becky is kind, patient, and knowledgeable! 10/10 I now go there for any vehicle necessities. #SupportSmallBusinesses

DO NOT GO HERE.Went here several months ago to have a smoke test and alignment done on a truck I m rebuilding. Got a call an hour after it was dropped off that the truck was ready. I thought this was odd considering it d be difficult to do both of those things in an hour but I didn t question it at first. When I picked up the truck the bill was a little over $200. My problem is work was not done. I was billed for a smoke test and told that the gas cap was bad and they could tell this from visual inspection. Secondly, I was billed for a full alignment service and told that the frame was out of alignment and couldn t be set correctly before repairs. Ok, fine, then bill for 1 shop hour not a full alignment and don t bill for the smoke test. Long story short I finally got it into the dealership to have it handled correctly and we ended up replacing the purge and vent valve solenoids and now my truck runs like a top. I would strongly not recommend this place stereotypical mechanic shop where they try anything to jack up the bill. In case you re wondering yes I did call and complain my check engine light was still on a week after I put a new gas cap on and was told it was because my battery wasn t fully charged and might be causing the code to not clear.Services: Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, Auto engine diagnostic

As always staff was prompt in responding to appointment request, they are pleasant to deal with and keep you informed on what is needed and when the work is expected to be completed, and when it has been completed. Offer suggestions for work that needs or will need to be completed, and will explain the urgency of each to help you prioritize what to get worked on for that visit. Reasonably priced.

My daughter had her car repair at Milex Complete Auto Care today and they were very helpful in fixing the repair to her vehicle with no problem. Also my sister and brother both bring their vehicles here. They're Excellent workers at Milex Auto Care. They are respectable, courtesy, reliable and Amazing service.

Excellent service! We had a trailer hitch installed on our car (we purchased the hitch kit)/ The price was reasonable and the work was done quickly. The staff is great, and we will definitely recommend Milex to our neighbors and friends.

Had my car here two or three times now and so far so good. They have done the oil change and tire rotation just fine. There recently was a concerning noise getting worse over time, and they took the time to call me back to the shop, have me test drive with them and point out the noise, and then they sorted out the problem. I appreciate not being charged willy nilly for things that might not fix the problem.

I have been to the Boonsboro Milex shop twice so far, both time for simple tire-related issues. The folks there are very friendly and dependable. I will not hesitate in the least to do business with them again in the future.

My brothers truck broke down on his way back to eastern shore and I wanted to go somewhere local so I called Milex and told them of the problem he said no problem bring it in. They diagnosed the problem, fixed and said they cleaned all the transmission fluid from under my brothers truck and flushed his transmission to the tune of $387.00. My brothers truck went 21 miles after that and that was it. We looked under the truck and the only thing they cleaned was the spot where it was wiped of near a plug that was replaced. The rest of the under carnage was a wreck. I had it towed to Ammco in Fredrick where Mike the owner met us on his day off and really fixed the problem. Milex may do some auto mechanics right but never take a transmission problem to them. Was a waste of $387.00 as far as I am concerned.Lee Lucas

Please be careful with these guys, they're THIEVES ! It started with a $45 oil change that became $300+ with my wife's car and now my brother's truck got diagnosed with a manifold problem that when checked by another shop... turned out to be a sabotage job by Milex, loosening bolts and brackets to predict a "future $2000 job". Buyer be warned that what you see is NOT what you get. This small town shop needs to be ashamed and exposed. I cannot say this strongly enough. Good luck.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Family owned business that treats it's customers like family! They price themselves aggressively, and provide great quality work and excellent customer service!!! I have been very happy with the work I have gotten done to my truck with Milex!

The owner Albert Daniel was ordered to pay me the $4700 in damages his shop caused to my car. he has tried everything from avoiding my calls (never called me after requesting call backs for the better part of a year) and pretended like everything was alright. well the ruling against him proved everything isnt alright.the issue involved his shop messing up the wiring job they were hired to do which caused permanent damage to my nissan gtr's transmission module and the brand new clutches that were installed.im not over inflating the story when i say he refused to speak to me at all. it wasnt until he got served that he finally called me after the better part of a year and he claimed "i pay managers to handle these things". when i asked if the managers could handle refunds he said "no i dont even write checks....my wife is the one that handles that". i then asked if they need your approval and they dont have the ability to decide on their own why wouldnt you call me even just once to discuss?? he replied with "i thought the issue was resolved".....somehow he thought months of me and my father calling day after day and his employees emailing and calling him day after day to call me back meant that the issue was "resolved".in short dont risk having damage done to your new or old vehicle at this shop. the owner needed ME to explain how the components in the car worked and thats not something that should happen with someone that claims to be a certified tech.oh also fun bit of info....the owner refuses to send tech to get a recert or to go to training to keep their certs up to date. in other words he believes in a 1 cert and thats it for life even though your reuired to go to training and to take a recert every 5 years according to the information easily searchable online......i guess when ur hurting for money those recerts r throw away even though he still claims to be certified.

New to this area and stopped in without an appointment. They staff was very helpful and got me an appointment the same day to resolve my check engine light. Passed emissions after repairs. Thank you Milex, I will be back!

Had a tire with air leaking. Asked Mikey to repair tire. Was told tire was irreparable. That the leak was in the wall of the tire. Was told tire was discontinued and that I would need a complete set of new tires to stop pulling and road noise because of competing tire treads. All this for -$1,000. They charged me $30 for this analysis. Went to another shop to double check. (Tower Hill Tire) They found a new tire of the existing tire. It was not discontinued. In fact they said existing tire had a nail in it and charged me just $12 to fix the existing tire. Go to Tower Hill Tire in Boonsboro. Beware of Milex.

Had a trailer tire blow out on me. I keep spares on hand, just needed to find somewhere able to mount a new tire on my rim ASAP as the trailer was sitting on the side of the interstate. Called them up and they said they could get it done as soon as I could get there. Was in and out in 5 min with my new mounted tire.Funny thing is I had called another local shop first because they were closer and the guy said he couldn t get my tire mounted until maybe Monday?! They couldn t take 5 min out it their busy day to earn my $20.I ll only call and go to Milex now.

One of our cars had a severe safety issue come up and Milex got us in right away. They are always there for us for regular service and unplanned issues. Great place, great service and great people to work with.

After several less than satisfactory experiences with the so-called quick lane service at the local dealership, including several instances of both overfilling and underfilling the crankcase because the factory-trained experts used the capacity chart for the wrong engine, I started taking my 2008 SuperDuty to Milex in Boonsboro. I have been completely satisfied with every service they ve performed. DJ is always helpful and ready to answer questions, and it s nice being greeted by name when you walk in the door. I also really like being able to see the service records on my vehicles on-line.

It is hard to find an auto mechanic where you bring your vehicle, listen to the diagnosis, then say with confidence ok, do the work . However, Albert Daniel and his team of professionals have made it easy for me to develop trust in their recommendations and workmanship. I have a customer relationship with Milex dating back to 2008 when Mr. Daniel was the only service mechanic to successfully identify a drivetrain problem, then repair it. He saved me from the perils of dealers and amateur auto care companies who stated the only fix would be a transmission replacement. You ve heard of Dr. Phil? Where I consider Mr. Daniel to be Dr. Al for my vehicle ailments. Thank you Milex.Jim Santos

You know you've found a gem when they deny to do an oil change that I asked for just to get it out of the way while my car was in for repairs. They honestly told me there was no need for it for another 2-3000 miles and did not want to take my money for something unnecessary. I have since returned for all of my repairs, and my husbands as well. We will never use another shop again!

Wife went there for a rattling sound from her under the car. She decided to have her breaks checked out. I get a call. This shop told her she needed pads and rotors all the way around. They told her it would be around 800 bucks for the break job and around 100 to weld a heat shield back up. Once I brought up the fact that one side was replaced. "after a car accident she was in" He did not want to talk to me. I wanted to know pads measured? Also, I don't see how he can charge 400 for pads rotors and then 400 for labor. She told him to just do the weld job. I went on the Napa website. "There is one right down the street" I placed an order for pads and rotors. Was less than 200 for the parts. She called a Nissan dealer in Hagerstown. Told her 676 all the way around. Ended up buying the parts at Napa Friday night. Woke up early Saturday. Went to change the brakes. Pads were only halfway worn. Rotors did not even have a lip around them. Took one off just to make sure I was not going crazy. Took it to a shop to see if it needed to be turned. Dude said he would love to take my money but they are fine. This was such a huge waste of time dealing with this shop. Also, a very big let down. We both love dealing with ma and pop shops. Will never go here again. 6/09/2017 Since I made my post. These guys now offer 10 % off if you leave them a good review.

Won't take my truck anywhere else! More than once I have brought my vehicle in for something I thought was wrong and come to find out, it was easily repaired or wasn't broke. They are always trying to save me money and 110% trustworthy. Can't beat that.

I had a safety inspection. The staff was so friendly and quick. Ms. Betty is wonderful. The place is so clean. I am bringing my other vehicles here for sure. Glad I finally came to my local place!!!!
