Well it's all downhill now. I use to bring my car from Bethesda to this shop for 15 years to get my tires rotated because I trusted that they would do a good job and they were not as crowded as the nearby stores. Now it's gotten horrible. When my wife got her car back and showed me that the air nozzle was covered up by the hub cap, I thought what idiot would put that cap back on like that. I mean come on. Turns out that two wheels had their caps put on wrong and to top it off, they over torqued the lug nuts using an air gun. I mean it was way over torqued. I had to use a cordless impact wrench for a minute to get one nut off. When my wife went back to the shop and complained to the manager, he accepted the hub cap problem but refused to acknowledge that they used an air gun because he said they are supposed to torque it down with a torque wrench. However, I know that they use an air gun to drive the nut down first and then finish it off with a torque wrench. If the mechanic doesn't stop the air gun in time, the nut will be way over torqued and when you do that, you can create an imbalance in the torque of the entire wheel because some nuts will be over torqued and others may not. This will result in your brake rotor getting out of round and you will have the brakes pulsate when you step on the brakes. Which leads to a very expensive brake job. Since the manager is ignorant of what his employees are doing and refuses to accept it when you complain, I will not go back to this store. And I wouldn't recommend that anyone else do as well unless they want to pay for an expensive brake job.

They Lie to you about tire conditions when you bring your car to get Rotation and balancing.I got new tires last year for my wife sienna. I rotated myself every 5-6000 miles whenever I change oils on this car. I thought maybe this time I should bring to costco tire since I can get free rotation and balance when purchased at costco.They told me that they don t have a record for 30000miles rotating since purchase. Then told me I need a two new front tires! I told them I do not need new tires I just want rotation and balancing. However, they told me they cannot rotate the tire because front tire is more worned out than back tires. One who worked there told me it s their costco tire policy to Not to rotate tires when front tires are worned out more than back tires. Is this eve true? Just none sense to me. I got upset because I see not too much of difference on my front and back tire thred. I want to report this issue and make people find out what is going on there. If my wife was there instead of myself, then my wife would have said yes and spend money on two new tires we don t need. It s just terrible how they treat returning customers.I wish many people see this post and spread the words so someone can actually can be more responsible for their Job rather than giving false information to customers to collect more money for the company.Definitely Not Satisfied, Definitely Very Upset, Definitely spreading and reporting about this issue to everywhere I can.

Amazing work and customer service! We did not realize we had locks on our tires and we did not have the key. We were so upset and embarrassed, especially since we had our 4 month old with us and it s very hard to get out of the house/schedule these things with him. However, the tire shop was so accommodating and allowed us to keep our appointment. We quickly went to a shop nearby that broke the locks and we came right back for the new tires. They saved the day and our little one survived the excursion.

I told them I had a screw in two tires. They failed to find both and blamed my air loss on "dry-rotted tires". Got home and took out the screws myself. Costco may want to hire people with smarts, but more importantly, people with eyesight. Also had the audacity to tell me he had a great deal of $800 for 4 new tires on an equinox.. no thanks lol.

They really know thier stuff and go the extra mile to inspect every detail ensuring the safety of my family. Had a disappointing experience with the Costco Tire Center. The folks who answered my call seemed uninterested and were not helpful at all. Their attitude made it a frustrating experience. Expected better from Costco. Hope they improve their customer service.

The tire team led by Cliff was phenomenal. They went above and beyond to get our flat tire replaced in a very short time frame so that we could drive home (out of state). They are responsive, courteous, and provided excellent customer service - I highly recommend this tire center and team.

I used to buy all my tires (for six cars) here and loved the place. I could order online, go in for the install the next day, come back for the torquing, and they would top up the air in the low aspect ratio tires every year when the weather got cold.Then they put in self service inflators, instead of just driving up to the bat and having one of their techs come out and fill you up, they expect you to do it. I might as well go to Wawa if I need to get out of the car for air. (NTB down on Sunnyside still fills you up at no charge. )Last week I ordered 4 tires online at Costco. Received email that they had arrived at store. The earliest the online calendar would schedule was for 10 days later! I ordered the same Michelins at NTB yesterday and they will be doing my install for today, only for about $20 more total.Sorry Costco, used to love you, but you disappointed me, twice.

I'm writing this review because of my positive experience at the Beltsville Costco tire center today. One of the staff members, Hector, was amazing! He went above and beyond to find the right tire for my old Lexus RX. He searched online and in the store. He went into the back of the store multiple times and brought back tires to help me make a good choice. He cared about my satisfaction. I have also observed his interactions with other customers. Costco is fortunate to have Hector as its employee. Hector's customer service skills and professionalism deserves recognition!

Mike miss placed my wheel lock key and refused to admit that he did it. He was telling me with an attitude that he is the manager at tire center. Does that mean he can do something wrong and get away with it? He was blaming me for it. Later that day, I heard noise coming from under the hood and that was the wheel lock key near front windshield under the hood. I am very disappointed with that experience.

Great service and courtesy front desk but I discovered during my last 2 visits that my toyota oem tpms sensors were swap out with cheap aftermarket with low battery. After only a couple months the flat tire light to lid on the dash. I open up the tires myself and discovered that of the 3 original sensors, 2 were swapped. I am not a happy customer and don't feel the same trust like before.If you must go there, mark your tpms sensor with invisible ink.

Very professional run tire store. Front desk was polite told me my options and was able to perform the work as a same day walk in. Price is great for 4 tires, comes with warranty and road hazard package. Technician personally talked about the work he performed afterwards and reminded me to come in for a re-torque on the wheel nuts. That is Nascar quality technicians right there. Both individuals I communicated with were 5 out of 5 stars. Costco is lucky to have such quality employees. Drive here as quickly as you can and get yourself a brand new set of tires, you won't be sorry.

So glad I chose to purchase my new tires from Costco, I got a really great deal by purchasing through Costco s online site and then amazing installation service, thanks to Tony and staff. I scheduled a morning appointment on a Monday through their online website and was in and out of that appointment in less than 1 hr... I had arrived early and they were able to work on my car an hr before the scheduled time. Tony, who was at the front desk was very efficient and polite. After installation, he let me know about some concerns regarding my lugnuts, and informed me of when I should come back in for tire rotation and balance.

Good experience buying new tires on sale. Rep at store friendly and helpful. Had to wait about 2 hours 15 min for tire mounting without appointment. Costco's systems don't allow you to make an appointment without an order and you can't make an order online for tires that are in stock so you have to go in unless you order the tires and have them shipped and wait 5-10 business days

Absolutely horrendous service!! The staff is unorganized, rude, unprofessional, and utterly useless. I came here to get my tires changed and not only did they have me come in three times - they had the audacity to mess up my car! I wasn't even able to start my car! I had to have someone give my car a jump at Costco. Afterwards? The car would not go above 25 even if I had my foot pressed on the acceleration! It would jump abruptly. The whole system was a mess. Save yourself the time, stress, and energy. and skip this place.

I had a very negative experience with Tony in the tire center. If you do too, I suggest you speak up. I'm giving a 3 star rating because the tire center manager Carlos was great, and store manager David listened to what happened and I believe he took it seriously.I stood at the counter for 10 minutes while Tony rudely ignored and then verbally attacked me. His hostility was unprovoked. I stood there patiently although it was almost comic how rude he was - I figured he might be feeling overwhelmed or have something else going on. I just stood there, not giving him looks or exuding impatience. He was aggressive - he practically screamed, "are you next or is she?" I was the only one who had been standing at the counter, everyone else had been helped. I said, I am, and he ignored me for another 5 mins! When I finally was able to ask if I could get my tires rotated (Costco said to come back after X miles when I got new tires) he said it would be 2-3 hours. Understandable, no problem. I calmly said in a normal tone, Unfortunately I can't wait that long, but I wish you could have told me that 10 mins ago. He lost it, completely exploded.Ironically, I did not ask to speak to the manager, he immediately said, well if you re going to catch an attitude, do you want to speak with my manager, and I said yes I would. He walked back to find the manager and turned around and screamed, "OK Karen, if that's how you're going to be!" Wow. If you don't know what calling someone a Karen means, google it - it's really bad. I was patient when most people would not have been, and this aggressive guy is calling *me* a Karen? Seems he's got a real anger management issue. Carlos, the tire center manager, couldn't have been nicer. And in fact, he did the tire rotation very fast. But never in a million years would I have expected to have such a horrible experience -- especially in Costco!

I've been to 4 other Costco Tire Centers across MD and VA in the past several years and this one stands out as having the friendliest, honest, and courteous staff. Keep it up guys!

Good service but always busy, so expect a long wait. Don't expect them to call when they're finished either.My expected wait time for a tire installation was 3 hours, and they said they'd call when finished. After 3.5 hours with no call, I checked. They had finished a while before: the work receipt was dated 1.5 hours before.

I had a great experience here. On a Friday morning, I called the tire center at Wheaton and nobody would pick yo the phone after multiple calling attempts I gave up and called this tire center. Wil picked the phone immediately and was super easy to talk to. I asked him if he had any tires in stock for my car. He looked up the information and booked me an appointment for Saturday at noon. I came in and was taken care of by Larry. He was nice as well. I asked when my car would be done and he said between 60 and 90 minutes and sure enough it was. It was just enough time for me and my husband to shop and checkout. Loved the men working there and great prompt service!

I recently had a great tire-change experience at this venue. Came in Saturday morning. Folk on the front desk was super-friendly and helpful. Explained the procedure, which did not last more than 1hr. Returned the next day for the torque check (done in 2 mins!). In sum, great prices, great people, highly recommended!

They had a very good deal on new tires of several sizes and brands, $ 70 off on4 tires plus additional $60 off for using Costco Citi Visa credit card. This deal was $ 307 cheaper than a quote i had for 4 tires and installation from one of the dealers in the neighborhood. Costco installed the tires without additional charges. I dropped off my car and was ready in about 2hours. My encounter was amazing throughout and everyone was friendly and helpful. Next day they checked the torque and everything was good. Please note this place is for Costco members only

Notorious for closing hours earlier then advertised do not show up after 5 pm, totally realized why I get repairs on my tires anywhere else it s just a quick $20 and on your way here the guy tells me to come at 9 am and I can see they are absolutely closed until 10 just abhorrent communication and seems like Costco will let this type of behavior slide

Had a horrible experience here. I had an appointment scheduled to install new tires, and was told to drop off my car overnight, only to find out that it's not in their policy to accept drop offs. So I had to walk in the next day and wait 30 mins before they decided to actually work on my car. Then I was told they could not work on my car because they couldn't find my spare. I told them where it was located, only for them to come back and say that my tire sensors needed to be replaced. At that point, i decided to cancel my order and go elsewhere. If you didn't want to install the tires, just say so. LOL!

I recently bought my tires here (they only sale the good stuff) and got $110 off a set of 4 Bridgestone Turanza Quiettracks. They ride beautifully!Today, I bought a battery (for the record, they don't install batteries). Aside from having the best price by far, I received superior service from Cliff. He helped guide be the best he could on installing my new battery, but in the end we were defeated by a striped nut!!! I won't forget how he went over and above to ensure that I was ok. Thanks Cliff!

The tire service at Costco was the worst experience.I was at the tire center to get air, but one of mechanics said he is busy and told me to put the air on my own. I had never done it before and it was raining. I really never had bad experience at Costco for 5 years as a member but this was the FIRST! It was raining, I got wet and my hands became dirty. I got really annoyed. The service was very horrible. I am very upset about the service at Costco.

Horrible employees. I went to put air in my tires, didn t bother anyone and there was a worker outside with a nasty attitude cussing under his breath because I was going to use the air machine. I pay a membership to use the air and that s why you have a job because of my business. Rude. I was really shocked at his unprofessional behavior. Get a different job if you don t like it there or keep your personal life to yourself so you don t take it out on paying customers. Unbelievable.

Bought tires online, with discount the price was better than tirerack! Schedule time table started after 1 week, installation time is around 1.5 hours. Everything was fine!

I walked in at 6:05pm their doors were still open and I was told they were closed, there were two employees in there one of them assisting a customer. All I needed was pricing and the employee whom I asked for pricing did a hand movement across his neck to cut it out basically telling me he couldn t help me with pricing. I don t think it takes more than 5 minutes to give pricing. Pathetic customer service on this employee representing Costco. I ve worked in a customer service environment and I would have never treated a customer in such manner. Disrespectful and rude.If they re so concerned about closing at 6pm they would lock their doors. I m just floored at the way I was treated. You can only imagine how this employee treats others who cannot defend themselves.

4 star on saving4 star customer rep service.1 star Wait line on Time on tire place. Only one person working. .. What the ####? I love Costco but this is just unacceptable It's been like this for ever. Why can't they have two person working on register when it's busy. I had to purchase a batter, lucikly I called and verify. Then paid for it inside Costco and go back to tire center to pick it up. No point of saving money if I have just spent over an hour on line....
