Extremely great service and pricing! I came to Boteler after another shop tried to trick me into paying for services that my car didn't even need. The Boteler staff took great care of my car and even taught me what to look for next time if my car has issues without being tricked. I will definitely keep taking my car there for future services from now on!

Yeah, the repairs cost money...the quality of the work and the professional staff are worth it! I was in a bind being from out of town and with a vehicle I couldn't get home in...they didn't take advantage of me and they treated me great...can't ask for better than that! Lexi, Steve and Ray are all great folks!

Excellent experience with Boteler and Ray. My son's vehicle broke down and was towed close to Boteler. Called and Ray immediately suggested that he could stop by the location and check on the vehicle. Utimately, the tow company wouldn't let him in (don't get me started on that company), but it was Ray's friendlness that sold me on having my vehicle towed there for repair. It got fixed in a day and would recommend Boteler to anyone needing service.

Ray is like a blast from the past-an honest, hands on, friendly mechanic who is so trustworthy. My AC died and I was expecting my car to be in the shops for several days-Ray and his team got me back on the road in less than a day and their prices were super reasonable. I will definitely be using Ray for any future issues!

We have been bringing all our cars to Ray Boteler for over 20 years. NEVER have we taken any of our vehicles to the dealer for service from the first day we drove the car off their lot. Ray and his team shoot straight. We live outside Annapolis, and it is worth the drive to know our 2010 and 2015 vehicles have Ray as our mechanic. He and his team are honest, kind, and their work ethic is second to none. Trust these amazing folks!

Lexi and Ray are amazing people. They turned my 2002 honda civic back to normal. They explained the problem with the vibrating that was happening to my car. And they were able to fix it at a good price. I m so glad I took my car to them. Normally I don t like taking my car in for repair. I have used multiple automotive shops and it s very hard to find someone as reputable as Boteler Automotive.The crew is very friendly and always has a smile.William and Amoute? are great they have helped me on numerous occasions. I'm a return customer and have used this place many times before. The service price is relatively reasonable, they are competent and skilled, and you dont walk away feeling like you've been taken advntage of. That's a huge bonus for someone who doesnt know much about cars and have to trust the experts. Thanks Ray and team!

It's taken me much too long to getting around to writing this review--it's something I should have done several years ago.Ray, his team and the service at his shop are the best.I've not only been impressed but stunned at how quickly they have gotten to and finished each and every issue with which I've come into the shop. Not even in my small hometown (about 2,500 pop.) in Minnesota could I be able to come in with an issue in the morning and have it taken care of by the end of that same day--I'd probably have to wait a day or two just to get my car looked at.In fact, the feeling that I get whenever I visit Ray's shop is the same type of "small town" feeling that I get from my hometown shop or similar small-town shops--if not more so.

Dealer told me there was over $10,000 worth of problems with my car. I took it to Boteler for a second opinion and they told me there was no problem with my car at all. I've never met a more honest mechanic! When I brought my handicap van in for service it was at the recommendation of another auto shop who didn't do that work but assured me I was in good hands. Well as someone who has been overcharged and dissatisfied before I was ready to get messed over but not at this place. Boteler Automotive is going to be my Go To place for both my vehicles now!! Not only did they fix my customized van perfectly so that I've been able to travel safely since then, they were not overselling and even when I inquired about a service they educated me that it was not needed yet. Wow!! I'm so happy since then I can't stop telling people how great Ray, Skip and their Team are. They are such friendly people with a nice little waiting room. The most thorough work I've ever had done and I'm excited to check off my search for an honest mechanic because I've found them!! Thanks again Guys!! See you soon...

Boteler Auto provided quality and affordable service efficiently when I needed car repairs. I first used them when I wanted to find an alternative to expensive dealership repairs. Zip fixed a worn out strut for me last year faster and less expensive than the dealership.In November, I brought my car back to Zip at Boteler to address a rubber burning smell. He fixed a leak in the engine very fast. He also helped fix my brake light that the dealership failed to fix multiple times.During the last repair, my wife went into labor and I was not able to pick up my car while we were in the hospital. The level of communication and professionalism all those at Boteler exhibited was exceptional. They made sure my car was stored and told me to call them anytime I was ready to pick it up.Because of their honesty and quality work, I would recommend this shop to anyone!Services: Carburetor cleaning, Air & cabin filter replacement, Exhaust, Steering & suspension repair, General repairs & maintenance, Electrical, Auto engine diagnostic, Auto engine tuning, Engine repair, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Oil change

Great Honest Automotive Shop! The service writers don t try to upsell on Elective repairs! They sell you on safety of your vehicle and what is necessary! It is nice to find an honest mechanic and not a sales person

The team there is very friendly and courteous. I have been going there for years. They are honest and straightforward. The work they do is top notch reliable. I actually have recommended my friends and family to go to thier shop. When they did go, they we very satisfied and continued to go to them for years.The same team has been working there for as long as I can remember. I have never had them try to sell me service I do not need. They make an honest assessment and a conservative recommendation.Now that I moved farther away, I actually drive 30-45 minutes from Baltimore to Beltsville to go to the shop.

These guys are outstanding to say the least. I dropped car off with a note on a Thursday night. Friday at 8am they called me. We spoke multiple times throughout the day. Bad blower motor In the beginning of July is the worst thing to experience in Maryland. Had it fixed that day. Since I'm a traveling sales consultant no ac is not cool. I'm thankful I was referred to them. I highly recommend this repair shop!

I have been going to Boteler Automotive for several years now and I am sadly just getting around to a writing a review for this amazing shop. I've brought my car and my husband's car here for repairs, tune ups, oil changes, and more. I've never had a problem with the service they've provided and their customer service is top notch. These guys have saved me literally thousands of dollars by telling me the truth and not trying to swindle me like many dealerships in the area. I took my 2010 Ford Hybrid here after the Ford Dealership told me a repair was going to cost around $900 for parts alone and then labor on top of that. I doubted what they were saying and went to Boteler for a second opinion. The guys here took a look at it, told me it was a $15 part and that it would take them less than an hour to fix. I brought my car in the next day, and drove off within the hour. The car was totally fine for the next 3 years before I traded it in at 130k miles. My husband took his car here after a similar situation where a dealer told him the repair would be upwards of $700, Boteler took a look, told us the options for brand new parts or second hand parts and we went with the second hand option which understandably is cheaper than what the dealer was saying, but the brand new parts were significantly cheaper as well. We walked out with a bill of $200 instead of $700. I can't say enough about these guys, they'll answer all of your questions, they'll explain what they are doing and why, and they're honest. It's appalling what other people will try to pull on you, but these guys aren't in that category. I recommend them regularly and I can't ask for better service. Take your cars here, you won't regret it.

Boteler Automotive is fantastic. I've been taking my 2008 Lincoln Navigator to them for several years, and the service is incredible. My car rides like it is right off the showroom floor. He's also been able to do service for me at prices at least 30% less that the dealer. I get pro-active maintenance on my vehicle, but he also lets me know when we can wait on an item if a repair isn't in my budget. If you're looking for a straight shooting automotive repair from a group of guys who are passionate about cars, Boteler Automotive is for you. It's actually a relief to have someone working on my family's cars that I can trust. It takes all the stress out of wondering whether or not I'm being taken advantage of at the repair shop. Thank You Boteler!!

Excellent customer service, friendly staff, fair prices. They went out of their way to help me stay within my budget and time frame, and did not ever try to talk me into anything I didn't need (in fact I was talked out of a lot of things I didn't need and/or couldn't afford, which was extremely helpful as I'm going through a tough time). Simple honesty and experience are enough to earn my repeat business for a real long time. My dad's a mechanic 1500 miles away so I have trouble going elsewhere... but with these guys I feel confident. First time going to a mechanic that didn't hassle me over "nuts and bolts." This place is a Godsend.

I've been going to Boteler for many years for all our makes and models from a '91 Saturn on. They even keep my '96 Jeep Cherokee with 140,000 miles running great along with a newer Jeep and Ford. I will continue to use their excellent serviceand all around great shop. No reservations needed, just drop it off, get a ride to work and pick it up at the end of the day.

This place is the BEST!!!!!!! I have been coming to them for a couple of months now and they are the best people in the area. I had called when my car was having problems on the way back from ocean City and Kenny walked through the steps on the phone with me as for what i should do and they never fail you. If you have a simple question or your worried something is wrong they will schedule you in to check it out. This place is the best and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND them!!!

Highly recommend Boteler Automotive. Service, quickness of repair, and honesty of diagnosis are the reason I continue to go back to this shop. Both of my vehicles have over 100,000 miles and I trust no other shop to work 'em!

I came from outside the immediate Beltsville area to look at a used car. I brought it to Boteler Automotive to have it inspected before I purchased. Ray was extremely nice. He drove the car himself to check it. Then brought it back into the shop to look under the hood. He checked everything over for me, pointed out some (minor) things for me to ask the dealer about.And he didn't even charge me for the inspection!If I lived in the area, I would absolutely come here again.

These guys are the best.Phenomenial service and competance. Greated me like a human being by everyone who works there.Even though I live 3 hours away I might have to start bringing my vehicles here.I was in a major long distance jam and they took care of me.
